This gives me a thought: At the start of Security Breach, Gregory is hesitant to share his name, despite generally having no issues talking to Freddy. And it's weird to me for some reason that Gregory would be using his real name when taken over by Glitchtrap (Vanny doesn't). And then I remembered MatPat's theory on Vanny and Elizabeth (er... one of the earlier ones, he's made a few), and I wonder if something similar to that is going on here: Gregory is a real kid, but Afton is trying to make him into Crying Child 2.0 through ghost crap. Is Gregory the _Crying Child's_ name, and that's why he's not sure about giving it, but he also doesn't remember his own real name anymore so he doesn't have anything else to use?
Yeah! I mean in the FNaF movie one character is named “Garrett,” which starts with a G (like Vanessa and Vanny). But Garrett is Gregory + Carrot (a stretch), not the other way around, and Vanny is Vanessa + Bunny, soooo Gregory may be his actual name??? Idk
Elizabeth ( er.... Ones , he's made a few), here : Gregory is the real kid, but Afton is trying to make him into Crying child 2.0 through ghost crap . Is Gregory the crying child's name , and that's why he's not sure about giving it, but he also didn't remember his own real name anymore so he doesn't have any else to use ?
I feel like this theory might even explain Gregory's audio-visual glitches whenever Vanny gets close - either she's trying to make him possessed again or perhaps it's a sort of PTSD reaction.
I really like this theory since it allows us to still have a sympathetic kid character without getting too sci-fi and actually makes the ending where Gregory frees Vanessa very satisfying to think about if he had been brainwashed just like her. I do wonder though, why would Afton as GGY play all those arcade games and get all those high scores? Could it be something related to Princess Quest? Like perhaps Afton was trying to find and destroy them because he knew it would free Vanessa?
I think it may have something to do with Princess Quest. If it is still canon that the soul in that game is Cassidy, the vengeful spirit that possessed Golden Freddy, Afton as GGY might have wanted to eliminate her to prevent Vanessa’s freedom, which he likely failed in doing so, since Gregory can play the games and save Vanessa.
Could Afton/GGY have been playing the arcade games while programming the “glitches” into them? Partly to “break into” the games, partly to edit and test them, but maybe also to create a lure to gamers? (Beating a high score is great encouragement to play a game over and over… and over…..,) I think the “””reward””” for winning BB World is the player being taken over by Afton. It’s just like the tapes all over again. Plus, it makes Princess Quest make more sense. Two series of three games with one spirit in each series: Cassidy and Afton. If PQ can free Vanessa, BB can brainwash Gregory. It doesn’t need to be VR. The brainwashing device being a series of arcade cabinets makes more sense- just like Princess Quest. The cabinets probably have some of the hardware from Vanessa’s VR job- that’s why Cassidy is in PQ and Afton is in BB (as creepy Moon eclipsing his other half… Anyone else think Sun/Moon were meant to hint Gregory/GGY? After all, GGY had his little hideout in the back of the daycare. Wanna bet he tested he his Jekyll/Hyde shit on the mop-bots, then grafted Moon onto Sun?)
@@dodecasomnia it’s possible. Although one has to wonder how he can play BB World again and not get rebrainwashed. Maybe upon being freed former victims can gain some kind of resistance against Afton’s brainwashing? It may also be one of the reasons why the Afton glitch makes the animatronics so aggressive against Gregory. If Gregory, as a former brainwash victim, has some sort of natural resistance to getting re Aftoned, it would be troublesome for William and Vanny to keep him snooping around, investigating missing kids at the Pizza Plex.
One thing that came to me is how Gregory was able to get away from Glitchtrap after he was removed. The reason Vanessa is manipulated is because 1: She's been shown to be weak willed, and have a troubled past 2: William is a manipulative silver-tounged bastard who's had over a century of practice Gregory is decently intelligent and has a good background, so there would be nothing for William to latch on, per say, letting Gregory escape with no trace of Afton in his mind. Of course, this also removes most if not all of the memories gained during his posession.
Another important thing to note is that GGY is noted to be an adept hacker while Gregory's idea of hacking is slapping a fridge magnet on a pass machine and then getting upset when it makes him a daycare pass instead of a regular one.
If GGY was an Afton possessed Gregory, it would make sense that Gregory didn’t retain that hacking knowledge after Afton left to glitch the Pizza Plex. PS: It’s hilarious how both he and Freddy think that Mr. Hippo sucks.
I was originally worried GGY would ruin the character of Gregory in the game as we knew him… but if this theory is canon, he may be more of a victim than we ever knew. And it would also explain the almost robotic visual glitch that happens to Gregory when Vanny gets close to him. If he was a former vessel of Afton, newly freed by Afton’s own haste, than certain effects may still get bind him and Vanny together. This could also explain why Afton and Vanny was hell bent on stopping Gregory and Freddy from ruining their plans. Gregory, as himself, is a good guy and if he were to regain his memory, he could become an evil bigger threat to Glitchtrap’s plans.
@@madam_fox yeah lol and I feel weird for feeling the same 💀 I honestly would have expected it to be Vanny, but it was weird how perfectly the pieces fitted for charlie, like WAY too coincidental
Honestly it’s insane after so long of cryptic lore we get this huge drop revealing so much like. It’s feels unreal. Since when has so much been spelled out for us like this 😭😭😭
This theory got me excited, but also low key worried that it might retconned by the developers. It makes so much sense, especially since not much of the plot to SB really helped figure out what was going on.
I have to admit that is a good theory put together, it almost fits and explains why Vanessa seems to act differently. I am mostly mad that we are getting all this lore for the games through books people will have to purchase, same goes for the earlier books talking about sun and moon were theater bots and the reason for the generators in the play area. At this point, I am sure the books are gonna tell us more about glamrock bonnie and what happen at the cafeteria that got it destroyed.
I have to admit that is a good theory put together, it almost fits and explain why Vanessa seems to act differently. I'm mostly mad we are getting all these wars for the game through the books people will have to purchase , some goods for earlier books talking about general areas in the play area. At this point I'm pretty sure the book was going to tell us more about gramlich Freddy and Bonnie funny and what happened at the cafeteria that got it destroyed
i was SO ready to be upset at this being a "ACTUALLY Gregory was EVIL and LYING to EVERYONE the WHOLE TIME" i am do glad that's not what it is at all this actually sounds really interesting and cool
definitely not haha. I kind of miss when the story was more supernatural instead of the weird sci-fi/paranormal hybrid turn its taken, but it's also fun to see how crazy the lore is getting.
@@birbelle To be fair... It's *absolutely* leaned a good bit more into the Supernatural aspect i believe. Though honestly Springlocks + Toys are heavily towards the Sci-fi direction, yeah :V
It honestly just feels so special to be part of this incredible community that always hops onto every single piece of lore we get. So dedicated. I hope it lasts a little while longer
i really liked the theory that patient 46 was some sort of Charlie or Elizabeth bot, but this theory honestly makes so much more sense- it's almost undeniable
Great Theory! I like most of this theory however, I think there is more to Gregory knowing about the Pizzaplex because in the cut scene were he is about to leave and you have to choose to stay or go, he tells Glamrock Freddy about the missing children. This implies that 1. Gregory knows that kids are missing and 2. Gregory Thinks or Knows the missing kids has something to do with the Pizzaplex. One answer could be he somewhat remembers bit and pieces when being possessed but it could be too convenient for him to only remember the characters(Glamrocks & Mr.Hippo) and missing kids but not Vanny, Afton or the therapist, or anything else about the Pizzaplex. Overall, I think Gregory would have to know more but I don’t/see how it fits in.
Except Glamrock Freddy knows about Vanny at that time, despite almost likely never seeing the name or Vanny herself. And Greggory asks "will they keep happening?", Freddy, unsurprised and very certainly says "Yes." It's likely just a leftover from the intended plot...
I was rewatching Markiplier play fnaf security breach and rewatching the origial trailers and it actually makes a lot of sense. In the original trailers it says 'Gregory, I may have lost my temper earlier but it was just a glitch.' in who I believe is Vanessa's voice. And sense Vanessa and Vanny are the same person it brings me to believe Vanessa knew what was happening and was trying to save Gregory while also trying to fight back Vanny who wants to take control and get Gregory.
This makes so much sense, it would also explain why Gregory doesn't trust Vanessa from the beginning. The last thing he remembers is probably her making him play the VR game before losing consciousness.
@@willfanofmanyii3751 but it didn't make it to the final version, so maybe they cut it because of that. Also, it could be that she attacked him when she forced him to play the VR game.
@@gedar205 My point being the recent stuff was not planned, the game was dialed back for a more kid-friendly rating. It's exactly why Vanny didn't have a knife in the final game, and the "Broken" line was changed from it being that Gregory was cut, and it's why he wears a band-aid. The recent lore is new, the original idea was that Gregory hid from Vanessa because she tried to stab him, so he ran from her. While the audio wasn't recorded, the subtitles for it is still in the game.
@@willfanofmanyii3751 I'm not sure about that. I totally agree that they changed some things to be more kid-friendly, but I doubt they changed the lore. I also hope they go darker with the DLC, which they already said they wanted to make scarier. FNAF has never been for kids (even if I'm a fan since I was 10 xd) and should never be.
I actually love this theory. I like that the books that are coming out are beginning to shed some light on the possible lore of Security Breach! Excited for more from you and your cats ❤️❤️
This is a big development. It feels more true than other speculative theories that we’ve had to make recently due to lack of coherent evidence in the game. The book seems like a really good source
This good and all... if only important parts of the story like this was in the game itself. expanding lore is one thing, but this is too important to have outside of the game.
I think the important stuff is actually better off not being directly in the game. It draws out the hunt and speculation, and also makes solving the lore more exciting as it's basically required to go search in other media. FNAF as a multi media franchise shouldn't limit itself to telling its story through just one outlet
@@CReiKampa48 not really, you can understand what's happening in it just fine and there's enough information to make your own assumptions, even if they may be wrong, but that doesn't matter, as long as you can piece together some sort of story and you can in SB that's good enough. It doesn't need to be the correct one actually being told tho. That can be reserved for the books and other media. I have no problem with this kind of approach and actually really like it
I am a strong believer that Gregory is not evil and is not a robot, rather that he’s just a victim of Afton’s manipulation, like Vanessa, so I really think this could end up being true. Hopefully, Ruins will confirm it later this year.
Something I see in the comments that ppl point out about the patient 46 and Gregory connection is them always trying to explain the therapist telling 46 "they had great parents, not abusive ones" and to push them to reveal why they lied. If use this theory of Afton hijacking Gregory, the therapist could've done a deep dive into Ggy's background when red flags and inconsistencies popped up. Leading to the therapist discovering that Gregory isn't just some random troubled foster kid, but either a kid who lied about his home life and was taken away by cps or that he "runaway", went "missing" or was kidnapped. We learn that Gregory didn't have parents thru Vanessa but we also know we can't trust her at that point. With this theory, we can safely say that she never looked for him in the system or searched him up, if anything, she probably tried what she could to delate everything about him, to make it seem like he was never there to begin with. Which is why Freddy doesn't have records of him. The only thing she didn't get around to do was reset the arcade consoles as the last bit evidence Gregory existed within the pizza plex. The only thing Gregory (and we as the players) could find about himself. This could stem with why Gregory would choose to stay and keep searching the pizza plex for answers. (We are given two options, leave or stay) we know why Gregory wants to leave but why choose to stay. Maybe to find out what happened to him, why he was there, how long has it been, where he was, and what happened after he was kidnapped. (If we go with the book, he been like this for months, he lost months of his life) And what if Afton wasn't the only one possessing him?
The connection to SB becomes a lot stronger when you think about the book story taking place after the game. He got the security pass when he was in there overnight. He bonded with Freddy, which is why Freddy was following around the kid (Gregory could have even been inside of Freddy). The true ending is likely the Burntrap ending because of the graphics and significance to the story line. Maybe Gregory does not make it out of that basement completely unaltered. Maybe Burntrap corrupts his mind and uses him like he uses Vanny. The “Help Me” text in the Ruin DLC poster could be a trap for the girl, luring her in to collect remnant for Burntrap. But that’s just a theory
Being that none of us (I hope) have experienced having a virus with the conscience of a serial killer taking over our minds and then being taken out of our bodies who knows how long later, Gregory could also be experiencing some memory loss which would explain his seeming confusion over specific details in SB but is still capable of talking about general concepts like “being twisted into a meat pretzel”
Has anyone thought maybe GGY is as claimed in security breach as he is in the book but that maybe Tony says he is Gregory to get Glamrock Freddy on his side
Some of my favorite parts of your videos are watching your cats just kinda look around the room confused as to who your talking to, why they’re being moved around, or them just lying around chilling. They’re so much like my dog; they’re so chillax.
I was never bothered by the reality that Gregory might be a robot, so if this is how it actually is I don't mind either, it's good that more and more gets explained.
This is probably the most solid secerity breach theory we've had so far. Gregory showing up as missing on the news paper also helps with this theory. After getting possessed he goes missing and his parents start looking for him. It doesn't make sense that he's on the newspaper if he's a robot or homeless
I like how this is able to combine the ideas about Gregory being evil with the ideas about Gregory being good. I never liked the idea of Gregory being Patient 46 because it implied he was actually pretty cold-blooded and… yeah, evil. And he doesn’t act that way in the games, even when there’s no one around, as you said. But if he WAS evil up until Security Breach due to being “hacked”/“possessed” by Glitchtrap, that would make a lot of sense! And he’d still be a brand new character. Lets me retain the interpretation of Gregory’s character that I love.
This is a great theory, but I am really curious as to what this means for the moment that Greogry brings up the disappearances at the Pizzaplex during his 6AM talk with Freddy. You could simply chalk it up to a cut story moment where Gregory would learn about these, but it still does strike me as a very sudden and odd thing to say - especially if Gregory is supposed to not remember ANYTHING about his time as Patient 46. It's just a weird little detail, but overall this was a great video :)
>You could simply chalk it up to a cut story moment where Gregory would learn about these, but it still does strike me as a very sudden and odd thing to say - especially if Gregory is supposed to not remember ANYTHING about his time as Patient 46. It's important to note, Greggory is ASKING if they'll keep happening. Freddy also knowing says "yes". Freddy also knows about Vanny, despite never seeing the name or seeing her. I'd bank on "cut story"
Another point to Amelia being the Ruins girl: the Fruity Maze is a game connected to Susie, the girl possessing original Chica. The only animatronic we see in the poster? Glamrock Chica!
What if that's why Greogory needs help in the DLC? Vanny captures him in that "leave the pizza plex" where he just walks out the door, and (as Ryes said in other videos) she brings him to Afton. To further state- Freddy has a scrapped voice line from the beginning of security breach stating that he remembers Gregory: "Gregory.. i know why you are not in the customer database. I remember you from the.." and then he cuts off. No idea why they scrapped that or if it has anything to do with the GGY theory, but its interesting to think about.
when it comes to the "Sleeping in a box" ending, it could also be a matter of him not being able to returned home as when his body was being controlled he committed multiple murders, maybe even gergorys parents were murdered to keep them out of aftons way
i feel like, with most FNAF books, they are parallels that will help us figure out the games. I don’t believe Gregory had a security pass and hacks the robots and games and everything, but i do believe this points to gregory being patient 46 which opens a whole new can of worms
I think this is the first time in a long time that I’ve gotten this excited over a new fnaf theory. Deadass I think the last time was probably back with the fnaf 4 theories cuz that game is, to this day, my absolute favorite. I got such a giddy feeling in my stomach when you were recapping the GGY story and I started putting the pieces together- just wanna give you props for that. I’m 18 now and I’ve loved fnaf since it came out when I was in like 4th grade, and it’s so amazing how far the series has come and it warms my heart that the community is still alive and well and I still get so excited abt new things even if I haven’t played all the games myself. I almost feel like crying bc this feeling reminded me of the nostalgia and childish glee that I had back then, and I didn’t realize how much I missed it.
I have been really unconvinced by most of the Gregory theories I've seen, but this one really nails what I see as a believable as well as enjoyable theory. All the evidence is there and very compelling, and I honestly hope this is where the story goes. I like this much more than any Gregory is secretly the bad guy theory and it makes way more sense too with his depiction in the game.
What does this mean for the other animatronics, who had no trouble attacking Gregory during the game? Did they get their protocols to protect him removed in the time between Freddy shutting down and waking up? Seems a little odd that he'd have such a big reaction to conflicting directives while the rest of the band have no issues.
Man we were never prepared to see this lore grow legs and a mind of its own, yet here we are. Each time you do a theory I just gotta watch it, they're very well put together and fun. We've been hearing Patient 46 through the tapes, yet we could never figure it out, but you may just have hit the nail in the head, which would make sense as to why Gregory is so confused about everything.
This is such a simple answer, one which all the evidence is in the games itself, just not specific names, that I have a hard time believing that this is not the current story. Man, it was in our faces the entire time, and yet as far as I have seen, no one was willing to see it.
What a theory! This is well explained and honestly, I think it ties a few loose ends. Also GGY was always interesting to me- and ig I was right to be interested. Also, I was really hoping Aston would be a more smart antagonist, and this theory delivers that hope! EDIT: The sci-fi vibe making me think of a mystery…
Omg, this is one of my favorite theories! I just discovered your channel today and I am already subscribed. I really like the way it all comes full circle into the SB storyline with this theory. I know I'm a year late but I hope it hasn't been debunked yet haha.
I've been subscribed for a little while now, and I just want to let you know that you saying "why aren't you subscribed? we've got cats," literally made me scroll down to double check. Truly the best self-marketing I've ever seen-you spoke directly into my soul. Riley-to-Riley cat communication
I just found something that backs up this theory. Remember in the original trailer of security breach when that voice that everyone assumes is burntrap says, "you will do as I say, you will bring me what I want, and if you fail me, then you will, both of you, burn!" What if in this line when they say "both of you" it's burntrap telling this to Vanessa and Gregory, this could be more evidence to support the idea that Gregory was at some point under (or planned to be under) Afton's control
Finallyyy as the months go by Security Breach's lore becomes more and more coherent I can't wait to see how this unfolds in the ruin DLC and future games.
I really like this theory, but this kinda raises the question for me about what the room with all the post-its were about. If Gregory is a real human possessed by Afton and not a robot, then what’s with the writing on the walls suggesting that Gregory’s a robot gaining sentience?
I'm not on twitter nor have I searched the entire comment section yet, but something that comes to mind is in the teaser trailer for sb Afton has a line like "You will both do what I say, or you will burn" or something like that. Makes me think he's talking about Vanessa and GGY but idk i probably just made that up lol it's been a while since I've thought about any of this
Also, I Love how Scott has been getting more comfortable in crafting/relaying the story *HE* wants to tell. Some may not be fans of the more sci-fi themes/stories that have been introduced in the books and newer games, *but at the end of the day it's the stories he wants to tell.* IMO, they're cool and interesting! 😊🙏🏾💎 Can't wait to see what's next...
If this theory is in fact the case behind FNAF:SB's story, then yes please, cause it brings us back the main plot point of the series, a child who's suffered a horrific tragedy. Plus, this would explain why Gregory has a design similar to Crying Child, he was the first one in this new story to suffer at the hands of Afton.
it's crazy because from jump, i wasn't convinced that Gregory was homeless. I thought that after literally spending all night running, hiding, and fighting for his life, he was tired and found the nearest place to sleep. Greg-bot theory convinced me I was wrong but nooow... maybe I wasn't? 🤔
I just started reading Submechanophobia, I can't to read this one for myself when it comes out. Also, can we get an F in the chat for MatPats sanity when he reads this
That makes more since it’s I love the theory because it proves Gregory isn’t a robot but is a child captured by Vanny using a VR headset and Glitchtrap lost control of him which is why he’s scared and confused
Genuinely, I think that this theory is better than Game Theory's video on the subject. I prefer to think "oh, he was brainwashed", to "oh, this fking 12-year-old is a systematic serial murderer"
Amazing theory, and AMAZING video! I love your points, but I also have my own theory! (with a little proof for it) Gregory, as normal kid who loved the arcades at the Pizzaplex, so at one point he could've played BB'S BALLOON WORLD. So BBW is glitched, right? And also has Sun and Moon as its EMPHASIS - another character with 2 sides. it is also a BIG parallel if both Vannesa's AND Gregory's true sides were trapped in Arcades. Princess quest and Balloon World. It is also interesting how the Balloon World arcade is LITERALLY at the Afton fight - further implying: Gregory didnt play VR, but he DID go to the pizzaplex before SB, so there's a chance the arcade was posessed in some sorts. Gregory tried getting a highscore, the furthest he could go, and just like how we did in SB, he started getting glitches, and at the end The virus in the form of eclipse shows up, and puts Glitchtrap into his mind - the birth of patient 46. This could be what it is, but we still dont know how he was freed. Maybe the BBW2, where the circus and balloon characters come from, answer this? NOW, my proof comes from the code of the game. In the files, some of the UI for that specific arcade has these encrypted. "hello?" "come meet my friends" "he made me do it" In my opinion, this fits VERY WELL with GGY. Glitchtrap's posession as "he made me do it". And at the end of the story, GGY tells Tony how he wants him to meet his friends in the pizzaplex - "come meet my friends".
I stumbled across your channel when you had around 15k and I remember watching all your videos one night, now whenever I get the upload notification it really makes my day so thank you. I am so happy with how far your channel has grown since then, you really deserve it, keep up the great work.
Oh my God, this is the first theory that actually feels like it makes sense and covers all the bases of Security Breach! It's like a wave of common sense just washed over the community lol. Someone call Matpat, he's gonna need to update his timeline before he publishes the 3rd part!
I actually LOVE this theory! The way it’s explained is easy to follow and it would put a cool spin on the character’s we know and give context to a very lore-confusing game. Love it!

I feel like this theory might even explain Gregory's audio-visual glitches whenever Vanny gets close - either she's trying to make him possessed again or perhaps it's a sort of PTSD reaction.
Oooo maybe? Or William slightly taking hold again
Trying to find and destroy the because he knew it would free Vanessa?
For real life that is so messed up
Could Afton/GGY have been playing the arcade games while programming the “glitches” into them? Partly to “break into” the games, partly to edit and test them, but maybe also to create a lure to gamers? (Beating a high score is great encouragement to play a game over and over… and over…..,)
I think the “””reward””” for winning BB World is the player being taken over by Afton.
The reason Vanessa is manipulated is because
1: She's been shown to be weak willed, and have a troubled past
2: William is a manipulative silver-tounged bastard who's had over a century of practice
Gregory is decently intelligent and has a good background, so there would be nothing for William to latch on, per say, letting Gregory escape with no trace of Afton in his mind.
Of course, this also removes most if not all of the memories gained during his posession.
True. And he's pretty quick and nimble
Alright...Though that just begs to question how he even got ensnared by glitchtrap then.
Didn’t she lie about the bad parents?
@@brodyrichter8113, isn't it also implied that some of the visits are actually Glitch talking to the therapist?
There's a theory the hallway boy LadyFiszi drew is William and we're going to see his childhood in the DLC
Good point
As opposed to the majority of the fan base, I actually kinda like this theory :)
I think that GGY honestly helps the lore way more than it hurts it

I just thought about the amount of guilt Gregory might be feeling if he ever realizes what he did under Afton's control.
i really liked the theory that patient 46 was some sort of Charlie or Elizabeth bot, but this theory honestly makes so much more sense- it's almost undeniable
And Greggory asks "will they keep happening?", Freddy, unsurprised and very certainly says "Yes."
It's likely just a leftover from the intended plot...
I could totally see that
This makes so much sense, it would also explain why Gregory doesn't trust Vanessa from the beginning. The last thing he remembers is probably her making him play the VR game before losing consciousness.
The original subtitles for the scene was that Gregory didn't trust Vanessa because she attacked him.
I love it when there's channel lore in random places.

This is a big development. It feels more true than other speculative theories that we’ve had to make recently due to lack of coherent evidence in the game. The book seems like a really good source

This good and all... if only important parts of the story like this was in the game itself. expanding lore is one thing, but this is too important to have outside of the game.
Fair, but hopefully that's what Ruin might do
I think the important stuff is actually better off not being directly in the game. It draws out the hunt and speculation, and also makes solving the lore more exciting as it's basically required to go search in other media. FNAF as a multi media franchise shouldn't limit itself to telling its story through just one outlet
@@janno7214 the problem is buying books to understand the game you just bought and played
@@janno7214looking at security breach’s state makes me think otherwise cause that game is a mess story wise.
(If we go with the book, he been like this for months, he lost months of his life)
And what if Afton wasn't the only one possessing him?
Gregory when the robots he assigned to kill are killing: 😱
*shocked Pikachu face*
Time to commit property damage!
I hope this turns into a lovely croissant with all these layers of lore that just barely makes a circle of sorts.
I like the analogy
@@RyeToast I just think it fits the whole theme of baking. And croissants are just my favorite.
I love how your cats stay in your hand while you move them and speak
They comfy
Being that none of us (I hope) have experienced having a virus with the conscience of a serial killer taking over our minds and then being taken out of our bodies who knows how long later, Gregory could also be experiencing some memory loss which would explain his seeming confusion over specific details in SB but is still capable of talking about general concepts like “being twisted into a meat pretzel”
Has anyone thought maybe GGY is as claimed in security breach as he is in the book but that maybe Tony says he is Gregory to get Glamrock Freddy on his side

1:33 He's almost achieving maximum loaf

Cut Story, the true villain of Security Breach
I too have a good feeling about this theory, the cats were glorious in this video.

Great theory! Really feel like the community is getting to the bottom of SB. Also loving the Alex Bale-ish lore of the ads in the Backrooms
I think thats the best bet, the only real problem is how Gregory was distorted in the cameras.
For real life it does
I think this is the first time in a long time that I’ve gotten this excited over a new fnaf theory.
The only thing that still bugs me is Gregory at the beginning telling Freddy he deliberately got inside him when he was turned off
1:33. Love how the first cat gets off of him and Rye immediately gets a different cat to hold 🤣
This is the CLEANEST explanation for all of security breach I've ever heard.
Your cat is such a loaf I love them haha. This was a really good theory in my opinion! Just be nice to backrooms Riley, alright? :p
Who's that? Never heard of him (thank you!)
RyeToast lore is getting deeper… who’s the real Riley?
What do you mean? I'm the real Riley of course
This is such a simple answer, one which all the evidence is in the games itself, just not specific names, that I have a hard time believing that this is not the current story. Man, it was in our faces the entire time, and yet as far as I have seen, no one was willing to see it.
There were a couple close theories, but I feel like this wasn't super prevalent (i know i didn't think this before GGY)

They’re curious about the FNAF lore too
I just found something that backs up this theory.
My god this channel just keeps pumping out BANGER theories
I'm not on twitter nor have I searched the entire comment section yet, but something that comes to mind is in the teaser trailer for sb Afton has a line like "You will both do what I say, or you will burn" or something like that. Makes me think he's talking about Vanessa and GGY but idk i probably just made that up lol it's been a while since I've thought about any of this
Also, I Love how Scott has been getting more comfortable in crafting/relaying the story *HE* wants to tell. Would've been really cool to have gotten any of this in the game. It would've been really cool to get any story content in the game.
This theory is cool, it makes sense especially the second one GREAT JOB RYE! =D
Thank you!
it's crazy because from jump, i wasn't convinced that Gregory was homeless. I thought that after literally spending all night running, hiding, and fighting for his life, he was tired and found the nearest place to sleep. Greg-bot theory convinced me I was wrong but nooow... maybe I wasn't? 🤔

That makes more since it’s I love the theory because it proves Gregory isn’t a robot but is a child captured by Vanny using a VR headset and Glitchtrap lost control of him which is why he’s scared and confused
I really like this theory! It has a very compelling story and just overall fits with the narrative. Great work.
Genuinely, I think that this theory is better than Game Theory's video on the subject. I prefer to think "oh, he was brainwashed", to "oh, this fking 12-year-old is a systematic serial murderer"

When I saw both Twitter threads I freaked out bc I follow them
Let's goooo
Amazing theory, and AMAZING video!
I love your points, but I also have my own theory! (with a little proof for it)
Gregory, as normal kid who loved the arcades at the Pizzaplex, so at one point he could've played BB'S BALLOON WORLD.
So BBW is glitched, right? And also has Sun and Moon as its EMPHASIS - another character with 2 sides.
it is also a BIG parallel if both Vannesa's AND Gregory's true sides were trapped in Arcades. Princess quest and Balloon World. It is also interesting how the Balloon World arcade is LITERALLY at the Afton fight - further implying:
Gregory didnt play VR, but he DID go to the pizzaplex before SB, so there's a chance the arcade was posessed in some sorts.
"hello?" "come meet my friends" "he made me do it"
In my opinion, this fits VERY WELL with GGY. Glitchtrap's posession as "he made me do it". And at the end of the story, GGY tells Tony how he wants him to meet his friends in the pizzaplex - "come meet my friends".
Finally it makes sense! Plus no robot afton kids.
True!
