I do not believe Cassidy's soul was split in two. Cassidy was also a protector of the spirits. He stayed behind in order to get his revenge. Charlotte stayed behind to try and help Elizabeth and Molten Freddy move on. Cassidy was also the only one to not possess an animatronic. He was always a ghost.
Why does everyone ingnores the fact that the puppet mask falls down slower than the others? For me it means that the others moved on, but Charlie decides to stay to make sure no more tragedies will occur. She's ready to leave, she just makes sure William doesn't have an ace in his sleeve (which he does).
The only problem I have with this theory is that even if you don't give the lost souls their "Happiest Day" and get the "Bad Ending", they still confront WIlliam Afton, and after he dies, they still fade away.
@@RyeToast I rewatched Markiplier's old video of FNAF 3 where he beat the game the normal way. William gets springlocked, and the spirits get the bad ending. William is confronted: th-cam.com/video/yR7tP8VgI3M/w-d-xo.html Bad Ending: th-cam.com/video/yR7tP8VgI3M/w-d-xo.html
Oof! Indeed, if William getting killed only happened with "Happiest Day" (and good ending), then it would be much much easier to theorize on it... Instead, since the only difference between good and bad ending is "Happiest Day", and has nothing to do with William's fate, it is much harder to understand what exactly happens that day in a way that makes everything fit.
This is exactly like what happens in the stitchwrath! Jake finds a homeless man and starts reading his memories. He finds a memory of him happily eating with his family and one where his family died in a horrific accident. He decided to use positive energy/emotions to "inflate" the happy memory like a balloon.
I've grown to love your videos, regardless of agreeing with them or not, or even being interested in the topic or not. You just have a soothing voice and is obviously passionate about what you speak. Thanks for just being a channel I can count on watching anything to just decompress!
One thing to mention is that the Character Encyclopedia seems to intentionally leave out information, like Micheal. I, like some others have mentioned, believe that this is because that some lore details would break the theorist community. They would either confirm major speculations, or break major assumptions and theories. So the Crying Child not being mentioned as appearing in FNAF 3 may be an intentional omission.
@@madnessguy1300 I think that forgetting to put in one of the (presumably) main characters of series is unlikely. Especially since they put in FNAF AR skins and sprites in the background of a minigame as their own pages.
But if they are omitting game appearances on purpose, then why didn't they add Michael and omit game appearances too? It feels weird to me if they do some things (like omitting game appearances) with one character, but don't list another character to avoid huge lore implications that would happen by listing or not listing game appearances (if that is the reason why Michael wasn't added to the book). Idk if my point is clear, but inconsistencies like these feel weird imo (of course, maybe this wouldn't be the only inconsistency like this since I've seen people pointing out a lot of errors on this book).
@@ItsJustValHere well, they couldn't exactly omitt his game appearances. They need to cite the original game he was in, otherwise it would look like he just came out of nowhere, and not a character in the games. Then if they cite the original game, they would still fall into the conundrum I stated earlier, where if they ommitt the other games he appears in, the fans will go crazy
This is honestly the best explanation I’ve heard for the splitting of the children’s souls. And even if you’re wrong, you’re definitely onto something.
I think that Matpat's timeline did a good job of at least partly explaining Molten MCI. Each end of night mini game is a different night, and after each night he is adding more of the MCI remnant to the funtimes, the last night is after he finished with the animatronics and is searching for any thing else usable, or maybe he's even just there to get his bonnie suit.
But why would it still be raining in all 5 of those nights? I'm no meteorologist, but I'm pretty sure that rain doesn't last 5 days in a row, particularly at nighttime every time.
@@tinaherr3856 It's not super common but it does happen, it's even happened in Hurricane Utah before, which is where the games are set. It's more likely around January/Febuary which are the months following the closure of the the Fnaf 1 location.
I feel so bad that you had to re-think a great theory and the amount of time needed for it. Glad to see you are flexible to change your theories, some people aren’t as open-minded as you are. Your theories are great and keep all of us entertained, keep up the great work! I’ll be adding this to my theory book now!
I swear to God, this series always makes me break down and cry bro. Hearing you completely lay out the theory and hearing how William murdered those poor babies and trapped them within the confines of their own purgatory just rips my hearts to shreds. As someone with a crappy childhood I always hate hearing about little babies suffering so this series is really special to me, man. I just want justice for these poor little munchkins, they don’t deserve all this torture
I really like this theory, and I love the fact that you actually acnowledge FnaF World, since most people just ignore that game. You deserve so much more attention!
I always felt the fact that the puppet's mask falls slower than the rest of the masks represented her staying for a while but eventually moving on. Since in the blob the puppet's mask isn't possessed by that time she HAD moved on.
I definitely think you're onto something, this reminded me a lot of the stitchwraith. First, of Jake being drawn to the baseball game (his happiest day) but choosing to stay to help Andrew. And then at the end of the story he is going to all the fazbear frights victims, like Millie, and helping them find their good memories / happiest days too. In fact as I wrote this comment I became more convinced that that's what the end of the stitchwraith story is trying to tell us
I like the idea that Cassidy uses William's bad memories to torture him, it reminds me of in the Stitchwraith stingers when Jake uses happy memories to sooth people, which I guess is what Charlotte does to the children in happiest day with the cakes
Interesting Theory, so you said that both FNAF world and UCN are spaces between life and death made by spirits, what if instead of being a world between life and death it was a dream-like state, almost like a coma. Where the spirits can manipulate thoughts. Able to basically manipulate William Afton's dreams. This could also change where we place UCN on a timeline (kinda). Think about it UCN is able to be played an infinite amount of times with thousands of unique nights. What if every time Afton goes to sleep it's just another night of UCN. (I don't know what else to say but it gets my point across decently I think)
That's fully possible. I mean the conscious mind seems like a thematically very close space to a sort of purgatory. Philosophers have theorized that what the human experiences as purgatory is just the conscious mind on the brink of death. I could see that
My happiest day theory is that Michael with the remnant of the original Animatronics because of the scooper (which has remnants probably of the original children) managed to do the same thing Carlton did in the books (He was injected with the remnants of the children) and accessed their souls, freeing them in the end.
Congratulations to you & Amanda for having baby number 2 on the way Super exciting for you guys, all the very best for the last trimester. I hope everything goes well, that both stay healthy & there aren't any complications!
I'm glad you mentioned the parallels to FNAF World afterlife representation of Happiest Day compared with Ultimate Custom Night's purgatory as it's something I have covered in a recent theory of mine too and I find it way too coincidental and strange how both the first half (Origins-MCI) of the original timeline pairs with the second half (FNAF 1-7). From the Bite of 83 and the Bite of 87 being similar, to the fact that both Crying Child and Michael Afton are being referenced to have been the main protagonist of FNAF 4 at different times down to this parallel of FNAF World (Happiest Day) to Ultimate Custom Night and how they both resemble the end of the FNAF Story in a way and moving on. It even goes down to parallel with Help Wanted, Special Delivery and Security Breach's story. Very interesting stuff that I hope gets further elaborated on in the future.
Not to mention. FNAF 3 is caused by Afton basically being trapped by "Vengeful Spirits" in "Eternal Torment" after FNAF 1, and an Outside Force freeing him from it. And FNAF 3 ends with the place being burnt down to destroy him (and failing). FNAF 6 ends with the place being burnt down to destroy him (and failing). And UCN is Afton being trapped by a "Vengeful Spirit" (or several) in an Eternal Torment, Hell, until an Outside Force frees him from it. It's the EXACT same scenario, but with a slightly different order.
The first thing I saw as soon as I clicked was the 2nd baby due sign. Congrats Rye on this new bundle of joy coming in May! I bet you both can't believe that it's already 2 months away 😊
I personally believe that shadow Freddy is the agony of crying child rather then Cassidy, it makes more sense to me, he is never hostile and just stares.
@@Takejiro24i like to think if mike dreamer is canon then its the fear of his brother never forgiving him that causes fredbear/nightmare to be so aggressive
Honestly, I think the books might be useful... Ik, ik,.. they aren't the same universe but I think you're definitely on a big path, I read some of the Fazbear Frights books. Listening to you, I remembered a scene that was really significant because it was in one of the parts of the Stichwraith's story, one of it's souls was thinking about a good day at a ballpark and they felt happy and had a sensation that he was rising from where he was but the other soul was looking for him and he went back to his friend.. I think the Trilogy was in a parallel universe to the games, but I think that at least the Fazbear Frights books are in the same universe as the games, which could explain one of the stories being about a kid luring other kids to an old abandoned pizza place with a rotting bear suit.
this makes enough sense but i cant help but think about that time scott was discussing the fnaf 4 box, and he said the fans figured out the story of fnaf 3 as he intended. back then we agreed that happiest day was how the souls moved on to the afterlife. was this rebooted then?
Here’s how I see the franchise, and this could help solve lots of things. Fnaf 1 to 3 is kinda it’s own timeline Fnaf 1 to 4 is also its own timeline Fnaf 1 to UCN is again it’s own timeline And fnaf to FNAF SB is also its own timeline Through this you could technically make the argument that crying child wasn’t originally the one helping the missing kids, if anything it’d likely be the puppet herself. But in fnaf 4 it tried to explain all the events of 1 to 3 by basically hinting to it being a dream, which is where Scott originally stated he gave each detail reason in it, before the next games came out Then things shifted in fnaf world and sisterlocation, where the nightmares in fnaf 4 and the events of it aren’t just a dream, but reality. Sisterlocation is basically meant to explain fnaf 4 as a whole with new context Fnaf 6 is the finale and does try to answer as many questions as it can, The midnight motorist one is kinda questionable, but I think it’s just william watching his son with the springbonnie costume, possibly wearing it. Since it was raining it could explain why it wasn’t there, and the crying child running off because of it And UCN is kinda the aftermath of it, and this is where Fnaf VR, SB and AR which connect to the other games are it’s own universe. Yknow how in Halloween 1 and 2, Micheal dies by fire and same with dr loomis? This gets changed through Halloween 4 to 6 Just examples like that show fnaf and Halloween got a lot of similarities in terms of timelines
But to answer your question, I think it used to be the good ending being canon, but now it’s both good and bad endint completely being canon The happiest day possibly being taken place around UCN, where William gets tortured by somebody, while somebody else helps set everything up, which is where fnaf world and UCN are connected(as shown with old man consequences) and also how fnaf world connects to fnaf 3’s happiest day
The final fnaf novels shows that souls can be splintered. They could have still gotten their happiest day and the other half of their remnant go to the funtimes.
I believe that in the books, Jake was able to manipulate memories in order to help someone move on(Andrew). So yeah, I can see Cassidy being able to do the same if she is linda like the book stand in for Jake.
Yeah. I mean Charlie's mask fell down slower than the other ones so it was always presumed that she was the most reluctant to leave, so she stayed behind just in case
Thank you! And it's definitely interesting, but I don't think it's /weird/. Especially Morgan and Morgan, they've always been kind of internet knowledgeable
Nah. It’s about time all those old professions get with it and use modern tech and social media. They’re smart. I’ll never forget the name Morgan & Morgan and that I can sit on my couch and text a lawyer. That sounds great and that’s the point. They are brilliant for advertising with TH-camrs.
Hello RyeToast, I wanted to make a quick debunk(?)/observation thing. In the FNaF 2, Night 6 phone call, the phone guy says "Someone used one of the suits. We had a spare in the back, a yellow one, someone used it... *NOW* none of them are acting right." This paints a correlation between the murder of the Save Them children and the Toy animatronics behaviour, meaning those dead kids possessing the toy animatronics instead of nobody.
The spiritual world that resides within these arcade minigames has always fascinated me greatly and I'm always happy to see creators shed light on the subject. To think that we have had this information (the Fnaf 3 minigames and, to a greater extent, the existence of the Flipside in general) for almost a decade now and it still puzzles the fandom to this day. There's a story and mechanics of a spiritual world being presented here, but the meaning and importance of these games are still an enigma within the fandom that is frustrating, to say the least. Great analysis!
In the books it depicts the children's souls fragmented and in some sort of limbo. I think the mini games represent this digital limbo, a sort of dream that keeps them from having full control of their animatronic bodies. I also believe Henry is possessing molten Freddy, he's trying to protect the souls by pulling them inside his body, but he's lost himself.
12:20 Dude, this plot point has given me so much grief that I gave up on trying to solve the timeline, but you explained perfectly in just several seconds. You made it so clear, that it's ridiculous how simple it really is.
I'm glad I could help! It took me a while to think of that too, i got mad when it hit me lol. The one site teaser something borrowed something new really stuck me though
Hearing your thoughts about remnant transferring into other animatronics reminds me of a small theory I had. I think that the weird rare story lines we hear from the FNAF 6 auction items (Candy Cadet, Midnight Motorist, Fruit punch clown, Security Puppet, etc.) could be caused by small amounts of remnant in them (like let's say some of the remnant metal got into circulation and was used to make them, causing rare voicelines). As far as I can tell.... everything with a secret voice line in FNAF 6 has some metal in it. Any thoughts?
Damn you're getting real good at baking these theories because we eating right now. Your idea of the Shadows being connected to Charlie and Cassidy is interesting and while I'm sceptical of the character encyclopedia (especially the character appearences section) it also makes sense for BV not to be in FNAF 3 as during Dawko's interview Scott admits the original story was going to be just 3 games. Meaning BV wasn't even a twinkle in Scott's eye at the time he wrote up FNAF 3's story.
Happiest day is an event that happens; it needs to be arranged and then implemented as part of a two-step set up. But that's all I got; I really don't think it both happens and doesn't happen, because I really think Scott tries to use "video game logic" to tell us what's going on; in video games there is a win and fail state and the "win" state always communicate the "true narrative" or how something is suppose to go. In rare cases, the "true ending" will look more like failure; but you as a player received some indicator you did do the correct thing and that what you are being shown is the result of winning. Happiest Day requires you to go above and beyond the paramotors of each mini-game involved; in a way it's not the "natural" or "default" ending you would get if you just placed through the nights of FNAF3 without taking the time to find them. That process of going out of your way to "trigger" Happiest Day is to me the most important detail to consider because I feel like that in-game interactive process has to be telling you a lot about the meaning of the visual you are then shown. Going to another example; Midnight Motorist is a game that forces you to drive in an illegal, reckless manner. The fail state occurs when you try to drive less recklessly; so the win state tells you the Motorist was being reckless. If you tried to reason-out the visuals without taking the win state /end state requirements into account, it would not be as clear that the driver is drunk. On a related, but slightly different note: I think the arcade cabinets are way more important then people give them credit for. I think spirits can inhabit them in place of animatronics. In FNAF3 the animatronics are dismantled and the ghosts are shown to be loose in the building. I wonder if ghosts have to eventually inhabit a physical object to remain in the physical world and perhaps without the robots then something also containing computer boards and metal will work. Scott likes sci-fi and what is more sci-fi then ghosts interacting with digital information? I think Glitchtraps mere existence backs this up.
You are my favorite FNAF Theorist! You are very grounded, yet not afraid to get into the thick of conspiracy territory. I only played FNAF 1 once as a friend was showing me the game back when FNAF 3 was new. Over rime I wrote the series off as just convoluted and "childish". I was so so wrong! I love the universe of FNAF and it's offshoots.
I love your theory voice in the community. I really missed the open discussions and geniuene want to just know whats going on from the early days of fandom and I have a feeling you and a couple of others are bringing it back and that makes me incredibly happy :) Have a toasted day
Your recent community questions on HW had me thinking... its main thing was FE stating the murder rumors in the games (games being made meta style canon) wasn't real - an idea sort of enhanced by the Help Wanted story from Tales from the Pizzaplex (to Matpat's question of 1-4 being discardable which I don't think he's following lately...). This got me thinking, if Fazbear attempts to dismiss the games canonicity, could it be possible for them to try that with the books - make their stories "canon" within (either side? of) the lore and try to dismiss their sinister, gruesome (albeit often absurd) details? We do have a novel AND a Frights reference on arcade cabinets...
The happiest day minigames have bugged me for a long time. I appreciate this interpretation of events! The mini games in general have caused a lot of confusion, with the exception of maybe fruity maze. Also I love that you use a track from the portal soundtrack. I love that soundtrack so much.
Yeah, honestly Happiest Day has always been a... messy minigame for the Timeline. When FNAF 3 was the last game? It was definitely more straightforward, they move on, Springtrap is dead (except for Springtrap SURVIVING the end and being teased...), Fazbear's is defunct, Good Ending.
I personally think the second batch that William killed posses the toy animatronics cause in night 6 phone guy said “somone used the suits, we had a spare in the back. A yellow one. Now none of them are acting right” I feel like because they weren’t acting right means the kids possessed the toys and at the end of fnaf 2 William just got the scarps of the toys and melted them down to put in the funtimes so now the souls that possessed the toys are now in the funtimes
Great video. Side note related to the video: I hate the fact the toy animatronics being possessed by the MCI souls is strange, but makes more sense to the order of events than them being possessed by the DCI (how you call it in the video) souls. That 2nd batch of 5 dead kids feels like such a frustrating loose end, no matter if they possess the toys or not. To be frank, there was some more stuff story wise that could be done with the toys, but not as much gameplay wise, so... If I could change a small event of history, I would have made it so instead of getting FNaF Help Wanted after Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator, we got a continuation that based itself on that 2nd batch of dead children. All so there's no stupid loose ends.
>If I could change a small event of history, I would have made it so instead of getting FNaF Help Wanted after Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator, we got a continuation that based itself on that 2nd batch of dead children. All so there's no stupid loose ends. Alternatively, just obliterate the DCI minigame, since AS FAR AS WE KNOW, it legitimately doesnt impact the plot at all? :V Though, that is a good idea at least, just turning them into a separate arc, possibly running in a wildly different direction that could at some point converge again...
I knew fnaf had deep lore, but after seeing your videos, man there is so much to learn still. Im kind of happy about that though, I knew there was still more to the game i wasnt aware about.
Just wanted to say if you see this, thank you for making the content you do, I love watching and listening to your theories, just wanted to show some appreciation, you will reach 100k in no time
I feel bad for Charlotte. Poor girl’s stuck doing recon for all of William’s fuck ups and helping all these terrified children get their shit together.
The way I have it in my head... The "shadow" characters are all guardians and actually want to keep people, ESPECIALLY children, from feeling the agony that the crying children feel.
Shadow Freddy isn't affected by light, unlike RWQFSFASXC and the material RWQFSFASXC is made of, Dark Remnant, so it's essentially impossible for Shadow Freddy to be made from Dark Remnant.
I love this theory so much I have never been satisfied with the general consensus on happiest day because of how you unlocked the minigame and that most other theory's I saw (or at least remember lol) never really included what the other games mean besides bringing everyone together which I didn't really care for that explanation.
Interesting on how the book calls out the shadow Puppet and Shadow Balloon Boy from the mini games, but doesn't even call out the other 8 bit sprites that we've seen. Like the Freddy that we play as when we give cake to kids in Fnaf 2s mini game. The book may be complex and confusing, but it did give us a few answers. Still wondering why Michael Afton and Phone Guy aren't in the book? They are major characters, but who knows? 🤔
Yay, another person realizes the Save Them children don't possess the toy animatronics! Encyclopedia does give great info! (That Spyro and Billy Hatcher music)

This isn't about your theory but I just subscribed to you a month and a half ago and it brings me nostalgic joy every time I hear the song from Spyro Year Of The Dragon in the background. It's the little things for me. Love you, you're awesome ❤️
Got home from work eager to see this, as I got the notification in my lunch break. I really like your videos! The cats, the soothing and friendly voice, the passion for the themes… Really fun to have even just as background noise
To clarify, the idea is that the portions of the souls that were in the Withereds got released, but the portions that were in the Toys still remains in the Funtimes? I could buy that, it would fit what we see and, importantly, explains how MoltenMCI fits alongside Follow Me. My thoughts on Happiest Day have been that it's Charlotte trying to convince The One You Should Not Have Killed to let Afton (and the other children trapped with him) go, taking place between Ultimate Custom Night and Help Wanted. It's annoying to place it so far away from FNaF 3 in the timeline, but it's what's made the most sense to me given that, well, if it _does_ happen during FNaF 3 then it clearly doesn't end there. The other option in my mind is that it _is_ during FNaF 3 and is still centered around the spirit in Golden Freddy (I firmly believe that it is NOT Crying Child, which I can get into more if needed), and it really does end the most intuitive way with the souls being released now that they've all been given their rest... but it also doesn't actually happen and the bad ending is canon, just like Security Breach's Princess Quest ending is unlikely to be the real one. I think we're missing something, though. If we look at the minigames themselves, they have Toy Chica, Balloon Boy, Mangle, RWQFSFASXC, and Fredbear (and then of course there's Shadow Balloon Boy and Shadow Puppet in the backgrounds, with neither character being MCI-associated). The kids' masks in Happiest Day are clearly the FNaF 1 characters, and those are clearly the FNaF 1 animatronic masks at the end, but the minigames focus on everything _but_ those animatronics, and I have no idea what to make of it besides that it feels significant _somehow_ imo.
(Putting this in a separate comment since it's more tangential.) Molten Freddy is really weird, honestly. On one hand, we have the blueprints that say it has more remnant "collectively in its structure" than the others, implying it has multiple souls, and Candy Cadet's speeches strongly suggest these are the MCI victims. Except.... "One b-i-ig happy family!" and "Together aga-ain!" do NOT make sense if it's the MCI kids. Those lines only make any sense if it's Crying Child. So, which is it? You can say it's both, but then you have to throw away the Candy Cadet five-into-one thing because it's no longer five into one, it's six into one. And to top it all off, apparently the Molten Freddy blueprints _are not used in the game_ (if the wiki is to be believed) and were found by digging through the files? So is what it says even canon? Was MoltenMCI intended to be the case during development but Scott changed his mind, but forgot to remove the asset, and now we've all been believing a theory based on invalid evidence? But what about Candy Cadet, then?
@@LewsTherinTelescope I will add admittedly... >because it's no longer five into one, it's six into one. Who says it IS 6? As far as we know, Cassidy is still separate, possibly has been since 3 as far as we know. Honestly, Golden Freddy is STILL a huge question mark in the series overall. At least as far as i remember...
@@higueraft571 That gets us right back to a situation where every set of five is this specific set of five except one, though. And I just remembered that The One You Should Not Have Killed was definitely in the Pizza Sim location: "He tried to release you. He tried to release us. But I'm not gonna let that happen. I will hold you here. I will keep you here. No matter how many times they burn us." Which sounds pretty MoltenMCI. *_But why does he say that family line then?_* Gahhhhhhh! (Not to mention the possibility of Andrew making this even _more_ complicated if he exists.... If I could ask Scott one thing, I think asking him to clarify the whole Molten Freddy/Golden Freddy/Vengeful Spirit situation would be it.)
I am pretty sure that "the one you should not have killed" was the crying child. I mean first the kid gets killed then he comes back and kills Afton making him Springtrap, everything I've seen leads to that idea at least.
Ahhh!!! Congrats on the Baby Toast!!! I'm so excited for you guys! Edit: Literally all of the years of theorizing drew me and my husband's eye right to it in the background. What a wonderful way to announce the news!
I think your definitely on the right track but I have some things that may be relevant. If the good ending is indeed at the same time William gets springlocked, then that means Golden Freddy and the Puppet have been with Springtrap for the 30 years. This explains why the Puppet is in FNAF 3 and how Golden Freddy linked his soul onto Afton, because they were with him this whole time. Plus this could mean that since Golden Freddy wasn't moved to Fazbear Frights with the Puppet and Springtrap, part of their soul may still be around. Also BB is odd as he has a Phantom, Nightmare and now a Shadow version of themselves. This must mean that they are important in the lore and are connected to William some how. Maybe their soul is/was CC, they do literally act like a child in FNAF 2 and Golden Freddy is one of the animatronics that were used to make the Toy Animatronics. It could even be that if Golden Freddy is indeed made up of more then 1 soul, which is supported by Fredbear was Henry's suit so William would have more anger to it, then the Happiest Day could be CC's spirit moving on while the vengeful spirit is still about.
I had a thought this morning, considering in the PC version the clock ending's last lines before "the end" are "The pieces are in place for you" and "Rest", maybe the speaker (Glitchy Fredbear(?)) is telling the Crying Child to move on upon finishing that ending, leaving Cassidy to be the one freed in FNaF 3's Happiest Day. Don't forget, like FNaF 3's Happiest Day, players can ONLY access the clocks if THEY chosse to allow the Fredbears to switch on the last text box of Fredbear's cutscenes. Oh, and the reason I said the above concerns the PC version specifically is because the mobile port's clock ending is different; throughout the game Glitchy Fredbear doesn't even mention finding any clocks (even though he has to appear to spawn them on the map), and the final cutscene's speaker talks about the Bite of '87 instead.
@@RyeToast what convinced me was the giving colorful cake making the monochrome child stop crying If remnant (by whatever means lmao) is some part of the soul left behind/unable to pass on due to lingering trauma/without closure, the crying children/minigames are an abstract representation or manifestation of the darkness of their deaths, while the cake/party/happiest day is a positive memory that allows them to pass on Just my guess tho, with fnaf who the hell knows what's going on, feels like a lot of recent revelations have shaken things up recently and theres so much information/speculation/prior assumption that we have to constantly reevaluate stuff as we gain new information or reach different perspectives Also shoutouts to Morgan and Morgan helpin you get out of the backrooms, it's been a while I hope you're alright in there

Ik you said : 'seek out memory of another spirit" but what if the one you should not have killed is Afton himself? imagine if the whole UCN is his psyche creating illusions/tortures just to make him feel less guilty. By taking several lifes, he has destroyed his own. His son died, his daughter got killed by his own murderous machine, his wife (probably) left him, his older son is probably dead aswell. Imagine if the soul itself created the purgatory. or. If we imagine that 'shadowy remnant' is made out of negative emotions. then if Remnant is made out of souls/people. Afton must have been full of it. The one you should not have killed probably could sense it, or even use it to seek out the memory/create the purgatory. Out of Aftons literal and metarophicall suffering. (tho Golden freddy/Cassidy being the one you should not have killed makes way more sense specially with the whispering child words etc but just- this thought came to my head while watching ur vid)
Before willam destroyed the animatronics you follow the shadow freddy ,then he goes to the room you can’t get into and get of the suit and then he destroys you
I think the importance of mini games is overlooked in the FNAF universe. These are what gives us so much of story. The princess quest minigame is what gives us the good ending in SB. I think that its not a far fetched theory to say that Charlette is using minigames as a way to contact other spirits.
I'd take the book with a _mountain_ of salt, since a lot of whit it says is either outright wrong or misleading (like saying Golden Freddy is in Sister Location), and it doesn't even have Michael Afton in it. 13:40 Didn't these minigames take place _before_ FNaF 1, though? I seem to recall you or someone else pointing out that Freddy has a button in these minigames, something Withered Freddy has, but FNaF 1 Freddy doesn't, suggesting that this dismantling prompted their refurbishment into their FNaF 1 models, with William/SpringTrap then getting locked in the safe room when all of the safe rooms were covered up.
Admittedly a few issues... It DOES show the FNAF 1 location in layout, a rundown location at that. 14~ cells in total, the 6 central cells making up the Main Hall/Stage/Pirate's Cove of FNAF 1's Cam 1A, B, and C. One tile to the left with parts within, mirroring the Parts and Services of Cam 5. Two hallways leading south from the Main Hall and connecting to one cell with a desk and fan, in a U shape, mirroring: Your location, Cam 2A, 2B, 4A, and 4B (Cam 3's room isnt shown however) Cam 6 i believe isnt shown as well, however to the right of the Main Hall (Cam 7) is 2 cells the Hallway leading towards the two bathrooms, featuring blocked off entrances where said rooms would be. And just to the north of that being the Safe Room. The only animatronics we DO see in this location are the Core 4, and Shadow Freddy. >then getting locked in the safe room when all of the safe rooms were covered up. If i remember right, werent these saferooms sealed up BEFORE FNAF 2 took place? After the Simultaneous failures resulting in the suits being forbidden and tossed back there. With one of the suits being used in FNAF 2, then i forget, but i BELIEVE there's another mention of it later on? So either one of the mentions has a wrong date, or the rooms were sealed/unsealed more than once? It's definitely a bit messy...
Another connection between UCN and FNaF World is the OMC easter egg. If you set him alone to 1 AI, you will be teleported to his minigame and will drown in lake. Doing so in UCN edits FNaF World's save file and sets the flag of OMC ending as gotten.

@@ScarletSeasno, they're annoying
@GamingAnimators they don't have anything else...
He was always a ghost.
okay but like what if i broke my hands
Why does everyone ingnores the fact that the puppet mask falls down slower than the others? For me it means that the others moved on, but Charlie decides to stay to make sure no more tragedies will occur. She's ready to leave, she just makes sure William doesn't have an ace in his sleeve (which he does).
The only problem I have with this theory is that even if you don't give the lost souls their "Happiest Day" and get the "Bad Ending", they still confront WIlliam Afton, and after he dies, they still fade away.
Is that true? I thought the Springlock ending only happened if you did happiest day
@@RyeToast I rewatched Markiplier's old video of FNAF 3 where he beat the game the normal way. William gets springlocked, and the spirits get the bad ending.
William is confronted: th-cam.com/video/yR7tP8VgI3M/w-d-xo.html
Bad Ending: th-cam.com/video/yR7tP8VgI3M/w-d-xo.html
@@RyeToast No the scene definitely happens no matter what you do
I thought the mini games had the VHS effect because they were memories from the animatronics. Kinda a CCTV camera look.
This is exactly like what happens in the stitchwrath! Jake finds a homeless man and starts reading his memories. He finds a memory of him happily eating with his family and one where his family died in a horrific accident. He decided to use positive energy/emotions to "inflate" the happy memory like a balloon.
Huh. Interesting...

Much more likely to just be the result of a rushed product.
@@madnessguy1300 nah he's likely hiding info for youtube to continually hype his game story up
This is honestly the best explanation I’ve heard for the splitting of the children’s souls.

In fact as I wrote this comment I became more convinced that that's what the end of the stitchwraith story is trying to tell us
exactly!!!!! I thought this was already the accepted version of events haha
💚💚💚💚

Agreed
There was at least *one* time he was hostile: as Nightmare in FNAF 4.
@@Takejiro24 Nightmare isn't shadow Freddy he is a completely separate character.
@@maxwellattacks6645gamefiles but then again it might not be just Scott messing around
Fnaf 1 to 3 is kinda it’s own timeline
Fnaf 1 to 4 is also its own timeline
Fnaf 1 to UCN is again it’s own timeline
And fnaf to FNAF SB is also its own timeline
Through this you could technically make the argument that crying child wasn’t originally the one helping the missing kids, if anything it’d likely be the puppet herself. But in fnaf 4 it tried to explain all the events of 1 to 3 by basically hinting to it being a dream, which is where Scott originally stated he gave each detail reason in it, before the next games came out
Then things shifted in fnaf world and sisterlocation, where the nightmares in fnaf 4 and the events of it aren’t just a dream, but reality. Sisterlocation is basically meant to explain fnaf 4 as a whole with new context
Fnaf 6 is the finale and does try to answer as many questions as it can,
The midnight motorist one is kinda questionable, but I think it’s just william watching his son with the springbonnie costume, possibly wearing it. Since it was raining it could explain why it wasn’t there, and the crying child running off because of it
And UCN is kinda the aftermath of it, and this is where Fnaf VR, SB and AR which connect to the other games are it’s own universe.
Yknow how in Halloween 1 and 2, Micheal dies by fire and same with dr loomis? This gets changed through Halloween 4 to 6
Just examples like that show fnaf and Halloween got a lot of similarities in terms of timelines
But to answer your question, I think it used to be the good ending being canon, but now it’s both good and bad endint completely being canon
The happiest day possibly being taken place around UCN, where William gets tortured by somebody, while somebody else helps set everything up, which is where fnaf world and UCN are connected(as shown with old man consequences) and also how fnaf world connects to fnaf 3’s happiest day
The final fnaf novels shows that souls can be splintered. They could have still gotten their happiest day and the other half of their remnant go to the funtimes.
@@johnjordan211 possible, also maybe the happiest day thing didn’t happen until around fnaf 6 or UCN
I love your theory format.

The one site teaser something borrowed something new really stuck me though
the fact that one little detail creates a 180 on one of the biggest pieces of the puzzle makes fnaf my favorite game! Loved the video
I just love rye's videos, they're just so calm and the cats are so cute, peak fnaf content
Thank you!
I love this theory. Its further supported by the end of the Stich Wraith stinger stories. Remember, memories were used to bring peace to souls.
Interesting. Having /quite/ got to the end yet
Honestly that's a good point. Thank you by the way
@@RyeToast No problem, thanks for listening.
I really missed the open discussions and geniuene want to just know whats going on from the early days of fandom and I have a feeling you and a couple of others are bringing it back and that makes me incredibly happy :)
Have a toasted day
Your recent community questions on HW had me thinking... its main thing was FE stating the murder rumors in the games (games being made meta style canon) wasn't real - an idea sort of enhanced by the Help Wanted story from Tales from the Pizzaplex (to Matpat's question of 1-4 being discardable which I don't think he's following lately...).
Baby #2?! Is no one else gonna comment on that?! Congratulations Toast! So excited for you and your ever growing family 🤍⭐️

Grade A acting in the beginning Rye, wonderful theory as always!
Lol thank you
Great video.
Though, that is a good idea at least, just turning them into a separate arc, possibly running in a wildly different direction that could at some point converge again...

I'll be honest, I didn't realize people thought the mini games were happening in a Literal arcade machine in the first place
Well to be fair the last Follow Me minigame takes place in a room with three arcade machines
Shadow Freddy isn't affected by light, unlike RWQFSFASXC and the material RWQFSFASXC is made of, Dark Remnant, so it's essentially impossible for Shadow Freddy to be made from Dark Remnant.
Thank you for putting my man BB in the thumbnail he is getting the love that he deserves
For Michael, it could be that they didn’t want to reveal so much.
He’s an exception I feel, a special character maybe, idk.
I wish they did Phone Guy. He was a major character in Fnaf 1, 2, 3, and somewhat 4.
Yay, another person realizes the Save Them children don't possess the toy animatronics! Encyclopedia does give great info! (That Spyro and Billy Hatcher music)
Gotta play music from PEAK
honestly its cool knowing another theory youtuber besides matpat
There's a few! FuhNaff mainly does news but he's doing more theories recently. Sire Squawks and Ozone also come to mind
@@RyeToast Nice but i don't Watch that many theorys anyways
And i want to Play fnaf more and more but i'm too easly scared and i bet i wouldn't Play it so much so i Wouldn't Buy it, still Like your theorys, they're pretty good :3
THE INTRO YESSSSS
I’ve been a fan of rye toast since before the green screen, so seeing you make these funny, entertaining, cinematic intros makes my heart really happy! Keep up the good work!
0:27 We whenever new fnaf lore stuff comes out
For real lol
Man ngl people are leaking FNAF movie details and i am hating but when i saw Mike Schmidt punching someone in the water i was shocked 😳
Fr! I wish it wasn't spoiled but DAMN 😅
THAT WAS MIKE
i’ve watched a majority of your videos in the past few days and it’s been so nice. if i play your videos while working, i can focus more than i ever have in my life. i think you cure my adhd temporarily.
i love how the cat just vibed the whole time and you just let it happen and let him be part of the video. I love this cat.
Something I've never understood, is why RWQ is called RWQ, and not Shadow Bonnie like Shadow Freddy and now Shadow Puppet and Shadow Balloon Boy.
P.S. I love your videos and theories dude, you're one of the main reasons I've started to create my own theories again. Keep up the incredible work dude
Hey thank you so much! And you know o don't either but even Scott backed off since in UCN RWQ is referred to with Shadow Bonnie
This isn't about your theory but I just subscribed to you a month and a half ago and it brings me nostalgic joy every time I hear the song from Spyro Year Of The Dragon in the background. It's the little things for me. Love you, you're awesome ❤️
Thank you!! Glad you liked the peak video game OST music
(Putting this in a separate comment since it's more tangential.)
Molten Freddy is really weird, honestly.
No matter how many times they burn us."
Which sounds pretty MoltenMCI.
Something I’ve noticed about Happiest day is the the title mimics the Edgar Allan Poe title of the same name and the similarities don’t stop there
I haven't heard of that! I'll have to check it out
I am pretty sure that "the one you should not have killed" was the crying child. I mean first the kid gets killed then he comes back and kills Afton making him Springtrap, everything I've seen leads to that idea at least.
It seems like every couple of weeks there is a new theory about Happiest Day. Love the back and forth.
It helps that it's so weird and cryptic
4:19 the stuff you get from the sponsored segments reminds me of the hunger games.
they can't just do this to us after how annoying it can be to finish the minigames AND get through the nights with peepaw and the phantoms :((
Peepaw and the Phantoms. A new boyband coming to a pizzaplex near you
I like the side story of Rye slowly losing their mind in the backrooms 😂
I don't know what you're talking about. I'm in my office, not the backrooms
@@RyeToast 😯
I thought Shadow Freddy was more a reflection Evan (The Crying Child) since it ties back to Nightmare being a dark variant of Fredbear
John pops threw the screen saying “Need More Proof”
Almost at 100k man this is wild and you’re still keeping with the Billy Hatcher songs I love to see it
Ahhh!!! Congrats on the Baby Toast!!! I'm so excited for you guys!
Edit: Literally all of the years of theorizing drew me and my husband's eye right to it in the background. What a wonderful way to announce the news!
💚💚💚
I also had a stroke when John said crying child wasn't in fnaf 3
I hadn't considered it and it hurt my brain a lot lol
@@RyeToast agreed🥲
Maybe. Plus, BV didn’t die in Fredbear. He died DUE to Fredbear, but he died in a HOSPITAL. If he was stuffed inside of BB…

Morgan & Morgan sounds like something outta fnaf with all the no fee stuff
I had a thought this morning, considering in the PC version the clock ending's last lines before "the end" are "The pieces are in place for you" and "Rest", maybe the speaker (Glitchy Fredbear(?)) is telling the Crying Child to move on upon finishing that ending, leaving Cassidy to be the one freed in FNaF 3's Happiest Day.
Don't forget, like FNaF 3's Happiest Day, players can ONLY access the clocks if THEY chosse to allow the Fredbears to switch on the last text box of Fredbear's cutscenes.
Oh, and the reason I said the above concerns the PC version specifically is because the mobile port's clock ending is different; throughout the game Glitchy Fredbear doesn't even mention finding any clocks (even though he has to appear to spawn them on the map), and the final cutscene's speaker talks about the Bite of '87 instead.
istg i have no idea whats going on with u in the backrooms and morgan & morgan but im really invested-
As usual I think you're onto something here, the connection between light/dark remnant and the color/monochrome minigames seems intentional to me
I'm glad you think so! I don't know if I'm 100% right but there's gotta be SOMETHING here
@@RyeToast what convinced me was the giving colorful cake making the monochrome child stop crying
If remnant (by whatever means lmao) is some part of the soul left behind/unable to pass on due to lingering trauma/without closure, the crying children/minigames are an abstract representation or manifestation of the darkness of their deaths, while the cake/party/happiest day is a positive memory that allows them to pass on
Just my guess tho, with fnaf who the hell knows what's going on, feels like a lot of recent revelations have shaken things up recently and theres so much information/speculation/prior assumption that we have to constantly reevaluate stuff as we gain new information or reach different perspectives
Also shoutouts to Morgan and Morgan helpin you get out of the backrooms, it's been a while I hope you're alright in there
i realized i got to the end of this video and got sad, not because i was disappointed there wasn't more, just that i was really enjoying this. love the videos so much!!! from one baker to another ;D
Ik you said : 'seek out memory of another spirit"
but what if
the one you should not have killed
is Afton himself?
imagine if the whole UCN is his psyche creating illusions/tortures just to make him feel less guilty.
(tho Golden freddy/Cassidy being the one you should not have killed makes way more sense specially with the whispering child words etc but just- this thought came to my head while watching ur vid)
also, I see the baby 2 due - so happy for you!
Congrats on the new baby!
I was so distracted by the cat I barely notice the background lol
💚💚💚
Before willam destroyed the animatronics you follow the shadow freddy ,then he goes to the room you can’t get into and get of the suit and then he destroys you
Cassidy is shadow Freddy, I like it
Makes more sense than 2 kids possessing golden freddy
I think the importance of mini games is overlooked in the FNAF universe. These are what gives us so much of story. The princess quest minigame is what gives us the good ending in SB. I think that its not a far fetched theory to say that Charlette is using minigames as a way to contact other spirits.
The artwork from the thumbnail is heartwarming
I'm pretty sure only Micheal knew of the Nightmares, so Cassidy is taking things from the minds of others and forcing William to face them himself.
congratulations on baby number 2 dude!!!
Interesting. I'd have to look into it
Admittedly a few issues...
Two hallways leading south from the Main Hall and connecting to one cell with a desk and fan, in a U shape, mirroring:
Your location, Cam 2A, 2B, 4A, and 4B (Cam 3's room isnt shown however)
Cam 6 i believe isnt shown as well, however to the right of the Main Hall (Cam 7) is 2 cells the Hallway leading towards the two bathrooms, featuring blocked off entrances where said rooms would be.
I love how the cat is just sleeping there, menacingly
Another connection between UCN and FNaF World is the OMC easter egg. If you set him alone to 1 AI, you will be teleported to his minigame and will drown in lake. Doing so in UCN edits FNaF World's save file and sets the flag of OMC ending as gotten.
