    Thank you for the positive vibes, my Cabrio washer power switch broke a year ago and the repair told me no parts were made for it any longer. He robbed the switch from the pause button to replace it with the admonishment, "when this breaks again, it's broke." Saturday the pump went out. Repairman wants $300 to repair, so considering just doubling the price gets me a new machine, off to Lowes we went for a new one, not necessarily the top-of-the-line Cabrio but just something that will get the job done (though the Cabrio did last 20 years). We went price and feature shopping and decided on this Samsung Top Load washer for 598 which I considered a good price for the features. I like the buttons. So many of the 'Newer and Pricier" washers (and dryers, we don't need one, the Cabrio dryer is still drying) buttons are all induction or led pads and I just see that as more expensive electronics crapping out sooner than later. We also asked MATTIE at LOWES SOUTHSIDE IN ABILENE what her return experience was on the washers, and she said the GE and Maytag's come back more often, followed by the stackables, the front loaders and the LGs. She said in the year and a half she's worked in the appliance dept, she's seen NO Samsungs returned. And they had two in stock. We liked what we saw, and the see through top is a bonus. Our cat has gotten trapped in the washer twice before and it was a hassle getting the machine stopped to fish him out and revived. This way we will be able to see him. It's being delivered and set up Thursday and I can't wait to wash more clothes. We are a retired couple and wash about once a week.

    Thank you for this video. I managed to buy this machine off someone for $150. Just started with quick wash and was worried about the noise. Glad to hear the loudness is normal and knowing what to look out for. I'll take more updates as it progresses.

    Thank for the video!
    I just got one of these, and that pulsing noise you hear throughout this video is pretty loud. I heard it on the second floor during it inaugural run today and thought it was delivered broken. So if anything, this video brought me peace of mind that it isn’t. But that pulsing in the beginning of the wash is a bit loud and annoying. So far, that is the only knock, and if things come out clean and it doesn’t break for 20 years, I'll be a happy camper.

      Does it always agitate so slow? I'm nervous mine is broken. It's so slow I feel I could stur my laundry with a stick better. My mom's old washing machine goes crazy. I used to let it pull my jeans in to make sure to wash them good. It was like I was feeding it. Just got this washer and I just watched it for the first time and I'm not sure this is going to clean my clothes. I came here to look and I guess that's how they are. Soft to the left then soft to the right but makes a almost plastic on plastic sound.

      I dislike mine too. It's ridiculously labor intensive to use when the load becomes off balance. And also there are often tiny dirt clots that stick to my clothes & sheets after washing. Even though I wipe the drum clean before using. Is it not rinsing well enough? We've had ours for less than a year & have to replace because of this issue.

    • @JohnJohnCrusher
      @JohnJohnCrusher ปีที่แล้ว

      That's what happens when you don't have an agitator to naturally keep clothes distributed equally around the sides.
      Without an agitator, whatever's in the center can get thrown to one side.

  • @mightyj806

    I have 2 issues. First, I've watched the washer several times in both normal and quick cycles since purchasing. For whatever reason in the Normal cycle it does not drain and refill to rinse. It simply sprays and spins until time runs out. Oddly enough, the Quick cycle does drain and refill to rinse the clothes but you can not use auto fill in the Quick mode. Samsung states to there is a way to take the normal cycle out of Spray rinse mode by putting it in Deep rinse mode but that adds over 30 minute to the wash.
    The second issue is that it's just noisy. It hums and grinds when draining. Very annoying.

    • @p4ulth0m4s6

    WI so not like ours a little over a year old. Unbalances the load on its own! Takes 5-6 hours to go through a cycle because of the self unbalancing. The spin cycle kicks in to a stronger gear and throws you load unbalanced. Same issue no matter what size load you have. Then, sometimes it also starts the washing cycle over and over!? So much for energy and water saving!?

    I'm using this washer temporarily and I can say it is not loud at all. Quite to the contrary of what the man said in the video. I was noticing with its first use how quietly it operated and was impressed with it's simplicity of controls and how it cleaned. If you also use a quality detergent. I think this washer you'll be pleased with and it uses enough water that everything is saturated. I don't see any problem. If you want a stylish looking washer to display to your guests. Then you pay more for an upgrade.

    This thing sucks. Every time it goes into spin the washer bounces and the unbalance signal comes on. Then it tries to rebalance the load by adding water, draining, respinning. After 4 or 5 attempts I give up and clothes line dried the laundry. The service man replaced the suspension rods and regreased them. Did no good. The thing just won’t spin without getting unbalanced. What do I do?

    I had an issue with a dryer once that took hours to dry a load. Turned out it was a fairly easy fix which was to replace the broken heating element. Simply open the back of the dryer, disconnect first. Replace the heating element. Super easy. TH-cam video will show you how easy. Unfortunatly the new element burned out within a month. Turned out my dryer exhaust tube that went up into the attic was severely clogged backing up the moisture into the dryer and thus burning out the heating element which is basically just a coil that gets hot similar to a toaster. It was not fun cleaning out the vent tube going all the way through the attic. I had to take it apart and clean it and put it all back together. Then buy a new element, cheap, and fix again. Worked for years afterwards. Good luck. I say all this because you may end up buying a new dryer and have the same issue, if not at first after the heating element burns itself out due to a clogged vent tube.

    During your spin cycle? Does it vibrate a little? The washing machine doesn’t move… but it vibrates

  • @randywoodland9918
    @randywoodland9918 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Horrible agitation. The center agitator is supposed to cycle the load theough. It is very ineffective to have it rotate/counter-rotate, while the drum is spinning in the opposite direction. I like to fill a little extra while loading the clothes. This will not allow it. The start of the cycle drains evrything out. Deep dill.....eh. The cycle times also seem long.

    I've had mine for about a month! I went back to Samsung because my last washer was a Samsung and lasted 15 years! I would like to add 2 dislikes to your/my list! First, the manual really sucks! Second, I am trying to figure out what the starred *Extra Rinse under the Temperature button might be. The manual does not explain! When I do white laundry I like to add an extra rinse. For now I wait for the washer to finish, then I add a "Rinse and spin"!

      @@thejmcGarage thank you for the answer, I have just one more question to ask. I just got this machine delivered today and there doesn't seem to be a way to drain the water in the middle of cycling. It seems you're able to cancel the cycle by pressing the power button so you can start from beginning but the left-over water itself doesn't seem to be draining unless I finish the cycle until the end. Is this how it is?
