Sure some reviews come in handy but it’s nice that you’ve had it for a year and have been very happy! I’m so excited now 🥳
I asked a fellow teacher with 5 little ones below age of 8 about this. She's had hers for 6 years and LOVES them! She also confirmed not preferring the front load due to mold on the gasket. She pointed out that her only challenge was with rugs that they gravitate to one side (but that's rugs for you, right?) She said no issue with bath towels, jeans, and blankets/comforters which is great. She said it wasn't silent, but is quiet enough (but with 5 kids, anything is quiet, right!) I went to Brandsmart and purchased my set. Scheduled Saturday delivery. 30 day return, 12 month Samsung warranty and purchased extended 24 month warranty for $6.35 a month that covers things like power strikes (living in tornado alley, it's very real here!) where if my power shorts it out, it's covered for replacement. I couldn't pass up that deal. Total less than $1100 for washer and dryer with delivery, install, and haul off of my current old ones. Looking forward to my first new purchase rebuilding my life on my own! WooHoo! Yay!

Very helpful! I think you can take the lint thing out and put it in the drum and use it as a drying rack for shoes/no tumble clothes. the thing will still spin but the rack will stay in place.
I have this exact same washer and dryer and it’s been a year since I’ve had them. Haven’t had any problems thus far. Before purchasing, I did read reviews where people were having problems with the WiFi set up and not being able to complete cycles because of the balance of the machines. So I was skeptical at first but like you, I like a good deal! Both washer and dryer work well. The only issue I have is the cycles are pretty long. Over an 1 hour for a normal wash is a bit long for me. Longer if you start adding other cycles too. Be sure to make your selections before starting the machine too. I’ve noticed that all cycles default to HOT water and ended up with some shrunk pieces of clothing. Other than that, they’ve been great machines.
I love how our machine washes but could you please tell me what app you used to set up the wifi? The manual says use Samsung Laundry app- I don’t see that on Apple Apps. I’ve downloaded 3 apps: Smart Things, Samsung Smart Washer and Smart Home- I can’t get any of them to work.

We have the new 2023 Samsung…if you’re vertically challenge the washer is a challenge!😂 The dryer lint trap is different from our LG and I’m not crazy about the little trap door on the filter….makes no sense.
One thing all home owners need to understand is. if the machine is getting used at least 5 times a week. it's washing almost 240 loads a year. Now your dryer is 3 years old. that's 720 cycles. it's not designed for that. it's not a commercial dryer. Dryer manufactures are thinking it's only going to be used 1-3 x a week. Here's the other factor that most home owners don't know. Carbon monoxide goes out the dryer vent. if it get plugged.. The carbon monoxide will come back in the house through the dryer, It needs to escape out the dryer vent to outside. If you have any white flex piping .. Replace it. it's not safe and can melt. if the dryer is drying more than 5-8 loads a week have real dryer service person clean it out. the whole vent and the vent inside the dyer and the lint trap and inside the dryer. that's where most fires start. because if backed up the lint has no where to go.
I've had my washer for 1 week exactly. The first day it took me 3 hours to wash one load. This washer just keeps adding time after time. Active water jet to me I thought would have a pretty aggressive power that would agitate the clothes. Like a jet of water that woukd come through the holes in the wash basin. But it doesn't. It hardly moves the clothes at all in my opinion. I feel like my clothes are not getting clean. The tub is HUGE. I love that. In fact it's so deep I have to stand on a stool to get to the bottom. The rinse is good if you can get it to balance. I believe I will be sending it back due to the time issues. However I will try the weight distribution as another person had mentioned. I like to know how long my loads will take. Like a set it and forget it. When it says the load will take 33 minuets; I want to return in 34 minuets and the load is complete. Not when I return 34 minuets later to see the timer says 23 minuets. I don't have time for that. Anyone else share my feelings?
I came in here hoping someone else would mention the agitation issue. Definitely don’t feel like it spins fast enough to get good agitation. Pretty bummed
What I have learned to do was. Do a speed wash with cold water. Add powder detergent to clothes and liquid detergent to where it ask. With softener where it ask as well and a cap full upright in the stack of clothes. These seems to work the best Bc when you do heavy load or deep wash clothes seem to stink. And hit the water button while ur loading all the cleaners. It makes the sensor seem like it’s a super heavy load and add more water to it
I just purchased these today. I’m super excited to start using them. I’m a little intimidated by them because I’m not really smart with technology, but this was a great step by step instructions
Thank goodness for this water being available to pretreat fabric has come about! The maytag set my mother used until she passed away 5 years ago was one of the last washers to fill while the lid was up. They all used to fill this way, allowing for all kinds of prewash activities, as well as using them to dye fabric at home and all kinds of crafty things. Apparently there were idiots who could not figure out how to keep from drowning in the washer, or putting their hands inside of it while it is spinning. I think it's kind of funny that this "new" option has been discovered by Samsung when women my age have mourned the loss of this feature years ago when everyone "improved" their machines in the name of safety. To me it has felt a bit like having to deal with a kid who's allergic to peanuts, except in your own home, everyday for years. And also the kid who's allergic to peanuts isn't allergic because he's an idiot. Safety measures feel a bit like the idea flushing the toilet 5 times somehow saves water, or that buying items made from "vegan leather" to save animals, while simultaneously protesting the use of petroleum (which is what vegan leather is made from). Have we all become so unable to think in a rational manner? HA HA or LOL! I guess maybe we have! However, I think I'm not alone in the idea that sometimes you are just too stupid to draw breath, or in the event your kids are being allowed to drown in the washer and are dumb enough to do so, maybe this is natural selection at work and we should take a passive attitude and let nature take it's natural course. All this being said; I'm very glad to see these ideas being "discovered" and the wash board in the little interior sink is a return to another great idea, also being "discovered". : ) America!!!
@@yogaowen8120 it was all done before, but done away with in the name of safety. Because apparently there are people who are so lacking in self preservation, all the rest of us cannot have access to running water in a washing machine. Now it's been invented! As if it never were before. But for how long? Is it a good thing to coddle little so? Or does it hurt all the rest? What does it mean to you?
100% correct! Engineers, who have probably never done any appreciable amount of laundry in their lives, have WRECKED washing machines. The “high efficiency” aspect of “new-and-improved” machines means too little water used, resulting in sour, foul-smelling dirty clothes. There’s a reason that all the fabric softeners are cloyingly sweet and massively perfumed now. They have had to spike the level of perfume of the softeners to compensate for the fact that the God awful “high-efficiency“ washing machines don’t use enough water. I guess these engineers think we’re too stupid to determine our own water levels, in addition to locking us out all the machines while they are filling.
I just ordered the set from Home Depot I will receive them on the 24th ..I’ll let you know how it works out …they look great ..Thanks for the honest Review 👍
We bought the same set, also to replace the older front load Samsung washer / dryer. Are old dryer motor went out 6 months after we bought it, took 8 weeks for the repair man to get the replacement motor.
When doing a load does the water completely cover the clothing or just barely? I have the same set and am trying to make sure ours is using enough water. Thanks!
I'm still fascinated, that this type of washing machines are so common in a lot of countries. We don't have any type of such a construction in Germany at all. Don't get me wrong: we still have models that you can load at the top, but it is more like a regular frontloader, with an opening at the top of the drum. I don't really know, which type of construction is more efficient now...but i somehow love the capacity of the toploader version. Good for bedding sets, or larger curtains ^^
There was a recall of Samsung 'Exploding Top' washers a few years ago. I'm still using one of those. Also, they're plague with the notorious 'dc-error-code' problem. I've replaced the Suspension Rods' but still the dc-code pops up sometimes. I'd stay away form Samsung washers and dryers. Currently, I'm researching on the 'Water in the top rim as Load Balancer' in these Samsung washers' hypothesis.
When you show an item, please show the entire appliance. On this washer and dryer, I only saw the opening of both appliances, some of the pannel and you in front of them. Thank you for the review, having have side loaders and top loaders before, this review confirms my opinion and couldn't agree with you more.
As far as mold issues on front loaders, the fix I've seen others use is to leave the door and detergent dispenser cracked open between wash days. That may be a safety issue with kids around. As far as Samsung major appliances in general, nice features but not assembled in America like the other South Korean giant, LG.
Any front load washer should have the door opened. This helps air flow and not form mold or odor. Also, when doing a deep clean on any front load washer add a bit of bleach. That will maintain your washer in great condition. Do this at least once a month. Hope this helps. 😀
Hello on your Samsung washer, are there 4 different water levels? If so could you explain how to use them, I have the same washer, but it's white, but the water level is very low, and the deep wash gives out too much water, thanks so much for your time,
I was excited about the capacity and unbelievable price of Samsung washer and dryer set but after receiving mine yesterday the dryer turned out to be defective. ( won't come on). I decided to do some digging and found multiple reviews on just how bad Samsung is. Everything from clothes not being washed properly to rust. I'm considering returning both appliances but I'm not sure what to do because there are many mixed reviews. #paininthebutt#isitworthit
I like this very much. You got right to the point picked out the features that you like. He didn't ramble on and on and on and on!! I like the way you were very specific about the features and the child safety features on the fact that it's quiet. I just purchased a Toploader washing machine I can't wait to get it after that I will be getting the dryer. Not over-the-top right to the point thanks for posting.
Hey Mr Gizmo, do you know if the washer has a lint filter or a debris filter? I read that during washing of clothes it will remove the lint and that owners need to clean it or clothes will appear with lent on their dark color clothes. My Tip of The Day: I did fine how to keep the inside / out drum clean and free from soap, softener, and mildew buildup. When running self clean we should add a cup of citric acid and a spoon of oxiclean every two weeks or once a month. Look forward to showing where filter is located. Thx!
If your kid is tall enough to open one of these new machines that practically come up to our clavicles, they are big enough to do their own laundry, lmao. If I buy this, however, I'm definitely going to utilize the security alarm. I want to make sure that if someone breaks in to steal my wet tshirts (that have holes in them) I'll be fully prepared to run in there and be like, HEY! LEAVE MY CLOTHES ALONE! The alarm beeping, plus my yelling, will scare them off, I hope.
We have a Samsung Top Loader from Jan 2020. Nothing problems with UL errors. This because of the load balance. Looked online has something to do with the springs around the drum. Lucky we brought a warranty & I'm not buying another Samsung.
Hi! Thanks for the review as it was very helpful. I need help on cleaning the dryer lint filter. I unscrews the screws and it won’t come out. I want to keep it clean but don’t know how. Your video would be greatly appreciated.
@@MrGizmo211 no I don’t unscrew for the lint, but I have to for the inside if I want to vacuum out the extra lint that falls to the bottom and that’s where I’m having issues.
Was just wondering , are the lights on the dryer supposed to blink off and on when you turn on the dryer ? Can’t seem to find that info on any manual that was with my dryer
Should the water level barely cover the top of the clothes? I understand it’s more efficient based on what I had but want to make sure there’s enough water. Thanks!
I have questions on how to use this machine , I am not a fan of how the water level on the machine does not cover all of the clothes particularly the ones on top , does that mean o have to use the deep fill option every time ? Please help me
We just got a new washer and dryer and I think we got this model, or the similar one the newer one, because our washer? It works but the spin cycle does not. We have to go down there and manually turn it over to the spin cycle. We just have to wait for it to come in the mail. I discovered that when I went to get my clothes out of the dryer yesterday and they were not all the way spinned. Because they were dripping wet still. So I told my mom and she said OK we will get a new set, because our dryer does not dry worth a shit either. Excuse my language. And I had just got two new T-shirts that I need to wash. Before I wear them and I have an entire load of laundry in the floor. I don’t have a empty basket right now because I have so much dirty laundry to do. I was wondering does this machine also use powder detergent? Because last month I bought a bag of powder detergent and a box of it as well. (Was trying Arial with Downey)It would suck if it didn’t. But I could just buy pods or liquid which I’m not really a fan of liquid, get on my hands. I’m sorry I’m complaining a lot I’m just really in a bad mood over this it went out yesterday.
Your old dryer had a moisture sensor in it too and on the inside its just like the old one, same parts same drum everything is the same. So if the drum felt is going fall apart and if back support panel is going to fall apart, you know who to blame on for buying it again.
Thanks for taking the time to do this review. We looked at the same setup at Lowes this week and are really intrigued with the product. We asked the "salesperson" if you can use Pods and there was a blank look in their eyes. Are you able to use Pods with this washer or is it dry and liquid detergent only?
Not ignorant at all because I legit did not know where the pods would go and asked myself that same question. I read the label on the tide pod container, and you simply throw them in the drum with your clothes.
I just purchased this and did my first load and I don’t know what is wrong with it. I did the normal marsh and it’s been going for five hours now. The time keeps going down and then back up. I think mines defective
just installed this washer today and I am really immediately dissatisfied. This is a paid review. My God he is in the same laundry room as this woman. And it wont let me post the link.
It’s probably not defective. It isn’t able to balance. I have found that I cannot wash a number of articles of different weights together. When I washed a fleece throw with bed linens, the machine would run forever. Once I removed the fleece throw, it balance, spun and worked beautifully. I spun the fleece throw separately and it also balanced and spun beautifully. That’s been my experience and how to work around the running forever issue. Maybe there are other corrections to this issue also, but it worked for me.
I am not sure if that one works like my families washer but they have a whirlpool style and you had to make sure the clothes did not block or cover the part that spins in the middle. So, you had to push the clothes to the side of the wall to make sure it was balanced.
@Mercy I just recently got the same setup and i have not had any issues with mine and i have slammed a lot of clothes inside and it washes them just fine.
Follow Raleigh here. We just got the exact same set. I wanted black and they delivered and installed it. It arrived with a non visible small scratch. They gave us a nice credit for it since we paid cash. We got a great deal for the set as well. Looking forward to washing clothes quietly. My last machine was so old and noisy as heck. It was scaring my 79 old mom that lives with us 😂. So feel super blessed to have the one I wanted and at a discount price.
I have this exact dryer in (white) and to tell you the truth im so confused about it. It does NOT dry our clothes, from regular load to even towels. Ive tried different settings and still just doesn't dry im actually very disappointed it in. Just curious am i missing something 🤣
I just ordered these today and I can’t wait to actually do laundry 😅, but question, what’s the white thing you put under the washer for? I noticed it and was curious.
Ran the first "test" wash through the machine. Everything went fine up until it was time for the rinse cycle to drain the water out of the tub. The wash cycle drained the water just fine; however, the rinse cycle did not drain at all... I am literally left with a machine full of water & the machine just shut off after it was finished. But without the rinse cycle water being drained. What did I do wrong?
@@carlamundo7862 My Maytag "commercial" washer seems to be built like a tank, yet it doesn't vibrate the floors like my 20 year old Maytag that died. No fancy computerized bells and whistles. Just straight forward washing. It finishes a full tub in about 35 minutes depending on the cycle. No off-balance issues yet. Extremely clean clothes due to the agitator. This is designed to compete with the expensive Speed Queens. More expensive than this LG though. I ordered it from Costco's website. Home Depot also carries it online. th-cam.com/video/tpsrrjSXw5o/w-d-xo.html
They are energy efficient, meaning the water will fill to the amount needed based on the weight of the clothes. It is not meant to fill the drum with water, that defeats the purpose of being energy efficient. Hope this helps.

Not when I return 34 minuets later to see the timer says 23 minuets. I don't have time for that. Anyone else share my feelings?
Never will I buy Samsung appliances again. Especially these models. My clothes still stink
Mine does the same. If it says UR that means it's unbalanced and will keep restarting the wash cycle
It makes the sensor seem like it’s a super heavy load and add more water to it
make sure u read the manual. there is a calibration that needs to be done before u even use the maching. try that.
I just unpacked my and I’m in love thank you for the review 👍
I just bought the white version of this washer from best buy. Some good some bad reviews but the price was so good, ill try it out

What are you trying to say?
I agree! Great for rinsing your laundry detergent cup out too
Well we know who you voted for LOL and this was certainly NOT made in America ha

The top loaders do fit more!
I just go my new set yesterday, excitingggg 😍 I’m enjoying laundry now haha
There was a recall of Samsung 'Exploding Top' washers a few years ago. I'm still using one of those. Also, they're plague with the notorious 'dc-error-code' problem. I've replaced the Suspension Rods' but still the dc-code pops up sometimes. I'd stay away form Samsung washers and dryers. Currently, I'm researching on the 'Water in the top rim as Load Balancer' in these Samsung washers' hypothesis.
so what r u suggesting sir
@@mrmunzir9977 Stay away from Samsung Washers (& Dryers). Go with LG FrontLoaders.
The recall has been fixed now, it's fine.
Thank you! Great review. I’ve been reading reviews all day and this really helps.

If he or she can open the top lid that’s not a child, that’s a teenager! Great video!🤗
Not necessarily. There are tenacious toddlers, even the dumb ones can push a chair over...
I did both of those things and it does help with the mold issues.
Any front load washer should have the door opened. This helps air flow and not form mold or odor. Also, when doing a deep clean on any front load washer add a bit of bleach. That will maintain your washer in great condition. Do this at least once a month. Hope this helps. 😀
Samsung laundry as of 2019 is now assembled in America!
wow thank you for the review Cant wait to get mine now!
Getting mine tomorrow! Love that I can use smart care on this machine with my phone!
This review really helped.
Hello on your Samsung washer, are there 4 different water levels? If so could you explain how to use them, I have the same washer, but it's white, but the water level is very low, and the deep wash gives out too much water, thanks so much for your time,
Husband just purchased this set. Looks nice.
Let me know how you like them.
How do you mute the song it plays when you turn on and off?

I like this very much. You got right to the point picked out the features that you like. He didn't ramble on and on and on and on!! I like the way you were very specific about the features and the child safety features on the fact that it's quiet. I just purchased a Toploader washing machine I can't wait to get it after that I will be getting the dryer. Not over-the-top right to the point thanks for posting.
Can the active water jet feature allow you to soak clothes?
Lucky we brought a warranty & I'm not buying another Samsung.
thank you ( looking to get ) one on black friday
Can you advise on how to keep the washer running with the lid open? for adding in while the water is running?
Hi! Thanks for the review as it was very helpful. I need help on cleaning the dryer lint filter. I unscrews the screws and it won’t come out. I want to keep it clean but don’t know how. Your video would be greatly appreciated.
You shouldn’t need to unscrew anything to clean out the lint
@@MrGizmo211 no I don’t unscrew for the lint, but I have to for the inside if I want to vacuum out the extra lint that falls to the bottom and that’s where I’m having issues.

Was just wondering , are the lights on the dryer supposed to blink off and on when you turn on the dryer ? Can’t seem to find that info on any manual that was with my dryer
Should the water level barely cover the top of the clothes? I understand it’s more efficient based on what I had but want to make sure there’s enough water. Thanks!
All depends on your water pressure the newer washers are timed on filling. Try answering it to large load

Our washer died tonight. So we went to Costco and ordered this set! In black!

What did quickest cucle
I have the same washer and dryer. I’m curious, what cycle do you wash your towels on?
It might wash comforter but doesn’t like to spin them. It takes 5 times. It will fill spin. Fill spin. Not fond of them
Where do you put pods
You just throw them in with your laundry
If you kid gets stuck in the washer that is called thinning of the heard
Can you add water to fill it to the top using the button you showed at the beginning?
Your old dryer had a moisture sensor in it too and on the inside its just like the old one, same parts same drum everything is the same. So if the drum felt is going fall apart and if back support panel is going to fall apart, you know who to blame on for buying it again.
We just got ours. How do you choose your water level on this machine?
It is tricky because it depends on your pressure
Thanks for taking the time to do this review. We looked at the same setup at Lowes this week and are really intrigued with the product. We asked the "salesperson" if you can use Pods and there was a blank look in their eyes. Are you able to use Pods with this washer or is it dry and liquid detergent only?
Because that is an ignorant question. Of course you can use pods in every washer
Not ignorant at all because I legit did not know where the pods would go and asked myself that same question. I read the label on the tide pod container, and you simply throw them in the drum with your clothes.

Does it sense how heavy the load is and adds the right amount if water or is it a manual thing.
Yes. It weighs and adds water needed.
@Mercy I just recently got the same setup and i have not had any issues with mine and i have slammed a lot of clothes inside and it washes them just fine.
needs to be calibrated. check the manual
