Finally a teacher who shows you how to modify postures with sits bone pain instead of just saying: modify without really explaining how. I have been dealing with sits bone pain and will definitely try these modifications!

It is true that it is not easy to meet such an inspiring teacher and i do not think it is only a matter of money and time.

A lot of what is discussed here are considered basics of body mechanics and alignment in Chinese yogas, like chi gong, tai chi and yi quan. Nine pearls, for example, check out the meaning of it.

Thanks a lot for this great video, one of the concept I seem to get is that, for beginner with backword pelvic tilt, one of the key element is to bring a forward pelvic tilt to get "past the 90°" from that point acrching the spine is not a concern anymore? Is that correct? if so do you have a video about pelvic tilt? Fow who has rear tild and i looking to bring it forward to a neutral postion? Thanks a lot

As someone who has had an episode of lumbago recently, I have learned which kinds of folding load and do not load the lumbar spine... as I've had plenty of opportunity to test the moves out in my half-crippled condition. Unfortunately (?) it's what the "health industry" tells us, and not what this guy believes. Don't round your back.

Im assuming in the 70's this man was very young, late teens early 20's and just thinking about the teacher pushing him into the pose and his body will follow. i remember me at that age, and i can bend like a pretzel no problem. if i go into a yoga class at my young 58's now and someone can try to push my body into the pose all they want, they are not going to get anywhere. glad to hear MD doesn't teach that way. and boy i wish i had wanted to go to india for yoga when i was younger, for what i hear the madhouse is now, it gives me no desire to go.
