That woman voice actor is definitely the same voice as Connor’s mom. There’s not many native speakers, especially voice actors.
I think they may be ancestors of Connor, since the sphere of eden that Eivor leaves to the natives is almost similar to the one that Connor used to communicate with Juno

@@abrahamcanul7408 They are ancestors of Conor. This is how Conor was able to obtain the sphere, a nice little way of connecting the Valhalla to Ac 3, a game i felt was underappreciated in the series.

I find it interesting how both Native American tribes and Norse clans have similar reverence for stories and the art of storytelling. I wonder what else they might've had in common before the Catholics came north and made the Scandinavians convert?

Don't forgot this scene entirely happened in Animus, and it couldn't translate a language to another language. I mean i could only translate a language within the DNA memories of ancestor at the time.
there's still some charm in not knowing what they're saying though. It's like you have to read their facial expressions and body language closer and put yourself in Eivor's shoes

I love seeing more of woodland natives of Canada even if it is just in a video game because it gives me an insight into what it would of been like for my ancestors before any real European occupation of Canada.
Hope they do a game in Mayan or Aztec, it’s a part of history that’s never really explored in media
Chances are they won't do an assassins creed game about the Aztecs or Mayan because it will be like ac odyssey and people didn't really like it because it didn't have anything to do with assassins at all and the Mayans and Aztec was before or around the same time as odyssey.
@@aphulite3115 Mayans 250- 900 AC, Aztecs 1300-1521, and Inca 1400-1533. Origins is set 49-43 BC, and Odyssey is set 433-422 BC. Set before the origin of the assassins so it can’t have any assassins in it so it’s pointless, but there’s loads of timelines they could pick in precolumbian America and have assassins in it as long as it’s set after the Lief Erikson saga so you could say the assassins knew about it that way and established a settlement there.

Got to say the male version of Eivor is my favourite! Not only does it feel more canon right with him it feels like I'm playing as ragnar from the viking TV show and I love it.

Yes. These people are the ones that will become the ones we see in Native American tribes by Connor’s time. And that artifact will be the one that the Mohawk elder shows to Connor later. And my personal theory? The bird that Connor sees in the vision? It’s something Odin-related, somehow.

At 2:31 now thats a beautiful sight to see right there and I love how they added this in the game how the Norse discovered North America like what 500 years before Columbus, at this point I wouldn't be surprised if I found out that the Norse went all the way to Australia.
Also I love how this is literally becomes the home of one of the coolest assassins Conor Kennway, man it would be even awesomer if if there is an assassin that was an Aztec or Mayan (hopefully Aztec).

Technically that hasn’t happened yet, it’s said Leif Eriksson traveled to North America around year 1000 but the game takes place in the 800s, at this time the furthest the Vikings made it was Iceland

That may just be what Eivor truly did after all was said and done; their grave was found at that settlement after all. It’s quite likely that the eventual death of Guthrum and the breakdown of the Danelaw, not to mention the expansion and encroachment of Wessex into the lands of the Kingdom of Guthrum, probably led to the end of the Raven clan. There may have been some who joined with Wessex but my belief is that Eivor handed the reins to Randvi and Rollo, wished them the best, and then set sail alone for Vinland, where they would spend the rest of their life.
Mixing history and fiction together, Rollo led the remaining members of the Raven clan to raid Francia as Jomsvikingr’s and, as we all know, eventually negotiated a truce with the then King of Francia, Charles the Simple, to settle down in the northernmost province of Francia called Neustria (renamed Normandy by the Franks), joining with the Jarlskona Toka Sinricsdottir from the DLC “Siege of Paris” to defend against further Vikingr raids. I think it would also fit historically because even though Rollo himself had to convert to Christianity as a part of that deal, his followers didn’t have to and the real Rollo was only Christian in name; he was still a diehard Pagan at heart. On his deathbed, he sacrificed a hundred prisoners to Odin to be on the best terms with the All-Father.
I don’t know, something about the Raven clan being the ancestors of the Normans just seems right to me, especially since they eventually conquered England in the end, with Rollo’s descendant William defeating Alfreds descendant Harold to become William the Conqueror.

What's funny is one of the rivers in Vinland is a actually river near me in New York the other thing I find weird is when you are playing as Layla you are in Boston Massachusetts USA and then there's when you go to Valhalla from Norway it's not far but yet you go there as Layla how is that possible

You can start it after you've made alliance with Lunden and killed everyone in the branch all the way to the right in the order. I have my camp on lvl 4 and alreadywent there and finished it.

Ok so that wall...I thought it was in New York?? I thought that was were Connor was from? Vinland is Newfoundland...
So the exact location of Vinland is still contested. The popular theory is that it was probably in modern-day Newfoundland, Canada, but it's still speculative. I also realized this was New York as well when I noticed that the two waterways that run from north to south through the map are the Hudson and Connecticut rivers. The Devs likely took some creative liberties and made it so that Vinland was more south, closer to the greater New York area.
