    you know what is a great detail? That Sigurd (tyr) first was the Ruler and "king" of the clan. Than Eivor (odin) came and take his Position as a Ruler/king. Tyr was first main God of the germanic mythology in Middle and North europe. Later odin repressed him.

    I got the unhappy ending, but oddly enough I like it so much more than the happy one. The way I roleplayed Eivor I wouldn’t have envisioned any other possible ending, and I stand by the choices I made. Both in odyssey and here I got exactly the endings I wanted and without trying, just playing “truthfully” ... I guess it’s a testament to the fact that (despite having their flaws) these are damn well written rpgs.

    • @sephirothsenpai
      @sephirothsenpai 4 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      Same, in Odyssey, I killed the father, his adopted son, Alexandra and the mother died, all I had was my ship captain (forgot his name) and I felt like that was the perfect ending. Alexios grew up by himself and now all he's worked for and tried to make up failed, so he stuck to being a mercenary until the events of Atlantis.
      Imo that was the best ending for Odyssey, and the Unhappy ending here is the best ending for Evior.

      Thing is they are vikings who believe that their fate is written and they cannot change it. You're not and things that happen in our lives are usually due to us or someone around us making that choice.

    • @ItsJustFox
      @ItsJustFox 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@pfft5795 That belief is also intertwined with the concept that the hearts of men are already known by the Allfather and the weavers of fate. So, while you are right, our choices determines our fates, those choices also stems from our hearts and minds, which were known before we knew them ourselves. No matter how you look at it, our fates are indeed unchangeable, yet we are still free to do what we please throughout our lifetimes.
      Put that concept together with the theories of quantum mechanics and those beliefs hold even more true.

    • @TheRevanchrist
      @TheRevanchrist 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In traditional Norse, Odin was the only Aesir that knew his fate and actively tried to change it. But in the end, all his attempts to avert his death and Ragnarök either amounted to nothing, or ensured its passing. So rather then spend your life trying to change fate, live as if you never knew and enjoy the pleasures of company, and life itself.

      I did the asgard/jot missions before doing the territories so once i started doing missions with Basim i had my suspicions. • @carlosalbertofernandezvele7574
      @carlosalbertofernandezvele7574 4 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      @@kmshana94, I just thought that the similarities in voices were because of a recycle amongst the cast. I mean...many past main characters'voicr actors from the AC Universe are here and there. I just thought Ubisoft was lazy...just like with the game's architecture, hair styles and models: Just look between Kassandra and Randvi or Valdis and Gudrum! Even the Roman gladiatorial statues look like the Greek ones from the last game.

      @@carlosalbertofernandezvele7574 well for that other stuff, you can say they reusd assets.
      Although for randvi and kassandra, i admit they looked very similar in the trailers and stuff but in the final product randvi has nothing on kassie except for the hair.
      But i figured something was up as soon as the hand came off. Then everything started to click. Especially when playing those asgard/jot missions. Loki is always known as this smooth talker with a silver tongue but his voice was so coarse and distinctive that i took notice, thrn eivor does like 3 back 2 back missions with Basim and its kinda hard to ignore. On top of that Odin is just chilling with you.
      The final nail in the coffin was halfdan, at that point it confirmed what i already knew. The anomolies helped too

After I got my revenge killing the man who killed my family and his son, I forced Eivor to stop being such a glory seeker since I myself am not like that and have more self control than I’d care to admit. Yes there were times I wanted to go against Sigurd especially after bad mouthing Eivor’s father, but I remembered that he’s above me and showing more control over my emotions just looked better than doing as I felt needed to happen. In the end, I earned his acknowledgment and his blessing to be Jarl and I even got his woman after they split. So even though it’s a too good to be true ending, I do feel Eivor could’ve been either type canonically...

    I intentionally went for the Bad/Unhappy ending because that is what seems to be canon. This game has a constant theme of “fate” and how no matter what you can’t change fate. So I think it’s better to fulfill the prophecy and allow Sigard to remain in Valhalla because that is where he is most happy and feels he belongs.

      1) Taking the supplies as you leave Norway for Englad at the start of the game
      2) Punching Basim and Sigurd at Oxeneforscire
      3) Fuck Randvi
      4) When you kill Dag after the Cent chapter, refuse to give him his axe as Odin asked of you
      5) After finishing the Essex storyline you oppose Sigurd and his new ideas

Sometimes you love him, sometimes you want to punch him in the face, but at the end of the day and despites all of his mistakes he is your brother and you stand by him during hard times.
    Having a brother myself, I can’t imagine giving up on him even if he were to lose his mind.

      This! Ppl here straight up eviscerating sigurd for his decisions. Nobody seems to notice that as Odin was in the mind of Eivor, influencing her, Tyr was also in the Mind of Sigurd. All of Tyr's frustrations were flowing through sigurd's mind. We also let go of Odin just as Sigurd let go of Tyr. This isn't about who had the most glory. It's about the struggle with the demons inside you. Mind you, Odin was also a huge dick for trying to deny Dag Valhalla just because he challenged his commander which he never trusted and even said so to sigurd.

    This is fun because on my first play threw I hated dag and Sigurd by the end.
    On my second I realized dag had a lot of opportunities to backstab Eivor. During raids or on the longship. Hell, while Eivor slept in the longhouse. There’s a lot of times Dag could’ve just stabbed Eivor in the back.
    But he doesn’t. He’s treated poorly basically the whole game. He’s thought of as a joke. His stories are all brushed off on the ship. All he wants is respect. All he wants is to be useful. And despite how terribly he’s treated and how many times he’s tossed aside he raids with honor. He lives with honor. He goes to you with every disagreement he has. He announces his problems and faces them. And if you watch him during raids, he’s always the last of your crew standing and fighting. I don’t think I’ve ever actually had to revive Dag. He calls you out since he doesn’t think Eivor is leading the clan correctly (which he’s not wrong. In 2 years of being in England I think my Eivor was at home a combined 20 minutes) Dag isn’t as bad as we pretend he is. I can see why from his perspective he’d be right. And he dies for it. He knows he won’t win but he won’t live knowing he didn’t try.
    And as for Sigurd, I disliked his character arch, but I realized there’s a chance in his head he was seeing more visions of Tyr than we do of Odin. He could’ve been fighting them back since before he landed back home at his father’s clan. He truly did care for Eivor. But he didn’t tell anyone except Basim about his visions. Because how could anyone back home think he wasn’t going mind sick. By the time he saw his sibling again he himself wanted to know if he was going crazy.
    His desperation towards getting to see the stone wasn’t selfish, it was a desire to know if he was actually losing himself. If he had looked upon the stone and seen nothing, he probably would’ve immediately given Eivor the reins of the clan. Unfortunately for us all he was never wrong, but he also had a trickster whispering into his ear. He was doomed from the moment he met Basim. Fulky was just an extra layer of torment and voices telling him to sink deeper and act on the voices further. If anything Eivor was just in a bad position.

    Before i chose i thought always twice, instincly and never watched any spoilers. 1. choice with goods from sigurds father, i kept it, cause i knew our clan will need it for build in englaland.
    2. choice with randvi, she no more loved or never loved sigurd and want with eivor so some conversation eivor loved her too so i let them together for me it was a bad choice to betray sigurd. but it seems the right one. (This was hardest choice for me)
    3. choice with dag, i dont let him valhalla cause he always disobey my orders, disrespect me in public althrough my rank was higher and odin said that he dont deserved any place in vallhalla.(odin is the almighty god and valhalla is his place, so it make nonsense let dag to valhalla, if odin dont wish him nearby)
    4. Choice sigurds judgement. I always for his chooses, never against him, cause he was the jarl, so i must to obey his orders.
    At the end i got "bad ending" one, but for me it wasn't. It is may be bad for sigurd in his perspective. He wasnt a good leader after all, he never be there for his clan, he done nothing, he even not be for his wife randvi. Also the clan was always for eivor, accepted eivor as a great leader. Even Gunnar(smith) said that he always wished to see me(eivor) as leader.
    So i even not persuaded sigurd to come to englaland with me. He should better stay in norway with his father. I was suprised rather about odin why he fought against me.

Randvi came onto me and it was clear she didn't have strong feelings for Sigurd, I had to make her happy. Dag challenged me multiple times when I was supposed to be the leader at the time so I definitely refused him honor, Sigurd trying to bankrupt that one guy for no reason wasn't gonna fly with me even the other party thought he was overreacting, and Sigurd hated his father more than anything. Their final meeting showed as much. The ending I was hoping for would've had a fight with Sigurd but instead they gave us what we got

    Honestly I didn't like Sigurd but that's mostly due to the fact he just kept fucking off to be a Viking whereas Evoir not only does that but also is available for the settlement to rely on if needed I bet he didn't even know the place was attacked by that east Anglia gang.
    What really got me through was his abject failure in being a Jarl and then trying to use that position to do stuff for fucks sake the most he did was help get 2 regions and even then he didn't contribute more than 20% of the overall effort to both he didn't bring men he barely got involved outside of battle.
    The only reason I went for the happy ending is because of how conflicted Evoir was whenever the options to betray Sigurd popped up.

    In happy ending you could have a few seens where you give valhalla to Dag and where you and randvi leading a raven Clan.

    I fail to understand how there’s a “bad” ending, it’s pretty much identical, Sigurd not being there is pretty irrelevant.

    Male Eivor is the way to go & is not cus their name sound masculine, but cus the voice actor for that gender ♂️ is more emotional & gives player's more Goosebumps...
    all in all - it makes u enjoy the game 🎮 more 💚

    Could be more amazing if we can get eivor to become king and then one last big raid

    I don’t think it’s sexist to say that all these scenes hit so much flatter with the female version of Eivor. I think it’s the voice actress, listening to the male Eivor and even Sigurd speak, their voices are poetic. It’s like they know they’re actors in a Shakespearean drama and are putting as much passion as possible into every word. Listening to female Eivor in these scenes it just seems so much more boring. I don’t know why AC are choosing this new path where all the canon characters are the female versions. It’s like they want me to feel like I’m a jerk for wanting to play with the male character and not the female because it find it more authentic.

    I left Sigurd in Norway after we fight Basim and this Gunnar mission wedding came later and Sigurd was there haha weird how Sigurd love Gunnar to travel even from Norway to England just for his wedding and all of that without arm and in middle of 9 century

    To me Sigurd never actually asked what eivor wanted he all ways thought her/he wanted the same thing and all ways though that he was the boss of her/he since he is older and their father is dead

    If I had known about these different endings I would’ve tried to get unhappy endings with the choices and then make him stay anyway. Would’ve felt more canon.
