I feel so stupid. Sigurd looks and sounds exactly like Tyr, add a slightly different accent and hair style. The same goes for Basim and Loki. It was so obvious and it took me until this mission to make that connection.

This was the moment where Eivor really earned my respect. After an entire game of questioning his own wild hunt for honor and glory he finally comes to the conclusion that its his people, his clan and friends that really matter in the end.
Not to mention he kinda seemed to forgive his dad at the end. Pretty solid character development overall.

Possible story behind this "fight." If anyone remembers AC Black Flag, it touches on the narrative that a Sage can go insane, if their memories from past lives overpower their current life. I believe in this scene Eivor begins to see the truth for who he really is (same as Sigurd saw throughout Valhalla, only he chooses to embrace it) and Eivor is fighting Odin, to stop his previous life trying to take over his current one (even though Eivor is Odin's reincarnation, they're two different beings, each different from another even slightly) hence their minds are fighting one another. And Eivor infact defeats Odin, denying Odin a chance to be free (even if its in Eivor's mind). This makes sure that the prophecy also comes true, Odin dies phsycially by Fenrir, and mentally by the wolf kissed.

Týr could hardly dominate Sigurd's mind. In all of the game, there was only one time where Týr spoke through Sigurd, and it was after Sigurd was tortured by Fulke. After being saved from Fulke, Sigurd says "Eivor, I will fight as a thresher through a field of wheat, Mad One. I believe at this point Týr is speaking through Sigurd and knows that Eivor is Odin reincarnate. But after this, Sigurd has no knowledge of Eivor being Odin which suggests that once all the torture had stopped, Týr's grasp on Sigurd weakened. On the other hand, Loki did a perfect job on Basim.

If my hypothesis is correct... this was a power struggle between Odin and Eivor. Odin was trapped in Eivor’s mind. Eivor had a soul all his own which was a barrier Odin could not break free. When Eivor was attached to the Isu machine, Odin was able to free himself and attempt to take over. Eivor was reluctant to comply with Odin, and the two battled for control. Eivor is seen walking through glowing doors filled with friends and family (representing his own mind) as Odin is dragged away, pulled back into the tree of life. Just my theory 🤙

Reincarnating device (Yggdrasil, tree of life) was made by Isu for Isu, not for hybrids. Picking the option where the animus chooses the gender will actually give some sense as to why there are two. In fact it would let you play female when in England, and turn you male when in Asgard/Jotunheim. Eivor is a female reincarnate/sage of the male Odin, which creates the inability of the animus to detect Eivors gender.

Eivor was the one that gave the apple to Connor's people.
Eivor was the one that killed the order, and help create the templars.
Eivor is my most favorite out of the other ACs characters. Instead of being charming or cocky like most of the characters, eivor is calm, wise, and collected. Sure, he is bland at times, but I think that's actually helpful to his character than hurt it. It makes this scene so perfect that I can't think of a better character to do this scene without feeling forced or feeling unatural. AC Valhalla is not a perfect game by all means, but the story telling is so good that it made me love assassin's creed again. Too bad that the next assassin's creed game is not gonna have the same impact as this one did.

I don’t know about that... although that could be just a lie, he shows a desire to keep being an Assassin and to fight the Templars at the end. And that’s Basim, not Loki. Sigurd also doesn’t look like he has another entity inside him. He IS Tyr. Fulke’s torture has just awakened hidden memories.
My guess is that Eivor is the only one experiencing an actual “split personality disorder” because the personality he developed as a human is drastically different from the one he once had as an Isu. Sigurd and Basim, on the other hand, are way more similar to how they were as Tyr and Loki, so for them it was just a matter of recovering their memories.

I’ve played through the Hidden ones Arc and can say that these felt the most Assassins Creed than anything we’ve gotten since Assassins Creed 1 funnily enough Lunden gave us a very Acre vibe along with my play style mostly following being hidden in plain sight I felt like I was playing an Assassins game game. Now unfortunately this is the Hidden Ones Arc the game has many arcs and most follow the more open world style with less Assassin stuff so there’s that.

To be honest compare this than the final battle against Odin in GOW Ragnarok, I kinda prefer this one, this is not some grandiose battle in order to kill a strong evil God, it just a battle of idea to reject bad and dark influence and to embrace the memory of our family and friends. I kinda like this one more feels lot more emotional than GOW Ragnarok fill battle that kinda fall flat, don't get me wrong GOW Ragnarok is far more better than Assassin's Creed Valhalla nobody dispute that claim, but still this final confrontation feels more emotional in lot of way than the final battle of GOW Ragnarok.

I love the music that plays in the background when Odin walks with Eivor and ahows his stages in live. There are only tumbs to hear, it's easy, primal and chilling. I really had the feeling that I walk behind an ancient god.
No matter what anyone else says, I love the OST and the main story of AC Valhalla.

Ok, I don't care what anyone else says, the scene when all of Eivors friends and family wait for them at the door with this music and all, was one of the best, most emotial scenes I have seen in years in an AC-Game. I mean I literally held my breath and started crying when Eivors parents hugged them. I am such a sucker for family-stuff and Eivor finally letting go of the resentment for their father felt so good! I also felt a kind of... idk, "existencial dread" (??) after repeating the Valhalla-battle a second time. And this is what the vikings thought a great afterlife is like... Holy shit, this was so depressing.
Ngl, I felt totally lost most times when it came to the Isu-stuff and had to read explainations online, but the whole defying Odins spirit in this scene was SO GOOD! I am so happy I played this game. I am also very happy Eivor was a calmer protagonist. I mean I like Jacob, Evie, Ezio and all, but it is nice to see some other charactertraits too.
