@@ntutino1980 the parkour are pretty much the same as origin and oddyseyy. Kinda annoying because ur movement is stricted to only one option sometimes. If they need to change it they need to change the whole mechanic. Since it's different compared to older games like ac 1-3. So if Seems we won't get it from this game.
I prefer three pieces of Thegn's for the increased crit chance on parry and two pieces of Mentor's for increased damage on critical hits. They feed off of each other well and after a short time in a fight you start obliterating enemies.
@@BePvArno The first effect listed on a set requires 2 pieces and the second requires all 5 so you can wear 2 of one set and 3 of another and get the first effect from both.
Odyssey was a lot of fun as well. I think this one might end up better. I have yet to get either to 100% but plan to. The direction these games have gone with the various pantheons is very interesting and refreshing.

If anyone is like me, and thinks it's more realistic for the hidden blade to be a one-shot-kill, there's an option in the settings to enable this. So you don't have to spend points on advanced assassination. Your call for your play style.

You can win againts him even before going to england, you just need to know when he throws his axe and avoid his massive damage that you cant parry, the rest you can just parry or dodge hit dodge hit. The giant moose also is easy if you have arrow then keep hitting him from side with your weapon after he charged
Currently my favourite weapons in the game consists of the Doppelhander long sword, the Scimitar long sword (purchased from Reba at the settlement), the Sepulcher Axe Dane Axe, and the Hunnish Bow Hunter Bow
The story does provide quite a few nice weapons. But the spartan shield is pretty cool. It is under a bridge. I can't quite remember where. I pair it with the shishi guard shield which detonates a sleep bomb after 5 blocks.
Spartan Shield is under a bridge in Essex, I used that until I found the Morrigan Guard - That has a chance to release poison gas on parry, very useful!
Good video, great game, but it’s inexcusable how much stuff they didn’t test and fix before releasing ACV... the parkour system is pretty busted compared to past games, and it’s my biggest source of frustration so far.

@@theonewhowearscrocs8591 at one point in history, people really tried making flails a thing. The trick was to make the handle longer than the chain by a certain amount, so even if you whiff an attack, it won't reach you. Of course, that meant it'll sometimes hit the handle and break itself...
I don't usually like to collect the best equipment all out of any game just to smash enemies around, i usually play with my emotions more than the stats of the items, this my style of playing any game generally, and specifically AC cause am addicted to it, and specially in a type of games that am pretty sure we can finish it's stories with any moderate equipments, we don't need the most powerful items at all, it makes it better experience for sure but not a must. And somehow am addicted also to Vikings, so this part of AC Valhalla is definitely my favorite one right after Ezio's trio. am just saying that i will never give up using axes cause the Vikings's main weapon is an axe and i love it, so am gonna choose the axes build he mentioned. and surely not getting any armor but Mentor's armor cause after all am an assassin Viking so..u got the point. but the build i really wanna give it a try for sure is Thor's armor and his Miljoner hammer, am gonna give it a try for sure but basically am gonna use ma original built, cause i don't like the lightening, fire, poison and all of this overpowered fictional fantasies effects cause this takes AC from a real game to fucking GOW thing and i don't like that I'll always see AC as the old style the one i loved the most and admired, no am not gonna change that view about it so... Am I the only one that really likes and enjoys the Iron star weapon ? It’s on the slower end speed wise, but man it puts in some serious work once you upgrade it and get a nice rune setup.
Marshall Craft there are raids at level 20 and 55 that are super easy. The yellow dots on your map are crafting materials,armor,weapons ingots hunt yellow dots.
@@marshallcraft25 honestly if you towards the middle those are easier and another way to get materials are killing animals any animal and breaking the shiny metal in caves or on mountains you can also use silver to obtain both if you dont love the grind also easy way to farm silver is drinking challenges and betting 200😃
I wanna know why theirs so many people talking the game down. People need to appreciate that humans can bring something like assassin creed Valhalla that lets us live in a Viking aged time. I think it’s a dope game!
Tried it 4 times on strength 19, it was hard though best you can do is Axe and Shield, block his range attacks (most powerful attack) and attack his weak points with the Ubi Connect Bow and you can beat him
Not sure if you know, Odin’s spear behaves differently to normal Spears. I too was excited to pair it up and dual wield it, but it won’t do the dual stab action, and it moves a lot slower. Just a heads up. I ended up ditching it and using two other normal Spears

@@j.vinton4039 Thought the same thing at first. Then used Areadbhair Spear in my main hand and Odins Spear as my off hand weapon , load them both up with ability runes, match that with the Brigadine Set , it is something to behold
This list is awesome. I got the Housecarl's Axe, the Skadi Bow, and Sutuungr's Claw just from raiding, and getting all the pieces of the Hidden Ones armor. I will definitely be paring the axe's together now.
The combination of its weapons is the “silver smasher” and the “gilded edge” they work so good together and their basically like the dagger and blacksmith hammer just with a short sword
Just use dual spears mid to late game you can easily tear through the game with the weapon ignition skill and spears very good even in drengr difficulty
Wow I don't see many peole using swords... Well I prefer to use longswords... And why just 1 when you can run with 2 (inside witcher nod) so yeah I always run around with the mighty piece of Eden the Excalibur, the best endgame longsword imo, it blinds enemies on crits and heavy combo and it's coupled with the Carolingian longsword which increases crit damage upto 5 times after each finisher, try it out and tell me how you feel. The longsword I don't remember where I got it was probably while looting some mid level church and Excalibur is pretty time consuming to get but you can get it as soon as you reach England, gotta collect 11 tablets in total, 8 from different challenge caves and 3 from some pretty annoying zealots... The zealots part is really annoying but the outcome is so frickin sweet and sexy I love it!!
A quick question, because you talked about the on -hit effects of the 2 axes (Housecarl's and varin's): When a Weapon has an "on hit, do X" effect, does that only trigger when hitting with that weapon and/or only modify that weapons stats? I had a dagger in the main and Varin's Axe and just looked at the attack animation. Eivor only uses the dagger for standard attack animations, the axe only for parrying. If the varin's Axe effect triggers on a dagger strike, it might still be worth it, just to see how fast the attacks will become.

Wealth locations in high power areas give you 100+ of iron and leather from each chest. Sometimes chests will give you supplies so not all of them will give materials.
If you’re going for the first time to The church in Ledecestre, the door is bared from behind. You need to clean up above the door and break the wooden wall. That will allow you to get through and break the bar of the door. 👍

So, I'm only idk like 10-ish hours into the game, mostly (almost exclusively) doing exploration. And my biggest thing is the lack of swords..... How isn't there any Ulfberhts to get in Norway? Then in England (so far, I just got there) there's only one sword available at the merchant shops. This is 9th century England.

At the moment I use iron star flail and Hrafn Guard light shield... with this combo, you need to be good at parying, once you get it, your speed will increase up to 5 times I believe and you are basically unstopable with the iron star... its kind of op, the flail are the one I always go to, when I struggle with a boss and I cant get it otherwise.

Skadi’s wrath is cool and all, but the viper bow that you can get from the store at your settlement is way better. It stacks critical chance with each hit, skipping over the having to hit weak points. Just head over to the blacksmith and upgrade it to gold and put a critical damage rune on it and it shreds shit.
I tried a spear on second hand combine with a seax in first hand and I love how you can stab ennemy and then impale them holding the L1, then releasing L1, which make them come closer to you and then do it again with the seax... really the combat in this game is insanely fun cause of all the possibilities.
I had all of these except for the dagger before watching this video. Trying the hammer/dag combo now. I been using hammer axe combo and that shit melts. Stun with hammer and then hold L1 for the axe strikes an shit. Shits dope
Personally I use a axe in one hand and then nothing in the other I’m playing a stealth build and assasination build and it’s truly amazing slow motion going behind a zealot and then stabbing him with the hidden blade in the off hand

Loving Valhalla more and more every minute I play it. I haven't bought any of the last few AC games, but this game won me back.

There is a heavy shield that will increase heavy damage after parrying. Would go good with your armor you have.

I use the hammer as my secondary. The attack is way better than the fang secondary. I use Varin Axe in main. Its my favourite combo.
Not sure if its super common knowledge but the trap arrows can destroy rock walls
As i recall you can get the houscarl axe in a early mission

Blacksmith's hammer is insane you can even cause zealots to keep standing and getting smashed to the ground in a loop over and over.

I use the Draugr hammer and a dagger or Varins axe with the hold LB. increasing speed with a hammer is soooo good.

If you go at the beginning of the game you’re gunna have a lot of trouble with Erik loyalskull
I was on drengr difficulty and beat him before Kjotve. It was tough, but if you parry and use rations wisely you can get it done first try

Just use dual spears mid to late game you can easily tear through the game with the weapon ignition skill and spears very good even in drengr difficulty
I love using that shield which has a chance to ignite primary weapon when you parry, trying to find the right runes to increase activation chance

Wow I don't see many peole using swords... Well I prefer to use longswords... And why just 1 when you can run with 2 (inside witcher nod) so yeah I always run around with the mighty piece of Eden the Excalibur, the best endgame longsword imo, it blinds enemies on crits and heavy combo and it's coupled with the Carolingian longsword which increases crit damage upto 5 times after each finisher, try it out and tell me how you feel. The longsword I don't remember where I got it was probably while looting some mid level church and Excalibur is pretty time consuming to get but you can get it as soon as you reach England, gotta collect 11 tablets in total, 8 from different challenge caves and 3 from some pretty annoying zealots... The zealots part is really annoying but the outcome is so frickin sweet and sexy I love it!!
A quick question, because you talked about the on -hit effects of the 2 axes (Housecarl's and varin's): When a Weapon has an "on hit, do X" effect, does that only trigger when hitting with that weapon and/or only modify that weapons stats?
I had a dagger in the main and Varin's Axe and just looked at the attack animation. Eivor only uses the dagger for standard attack animations, the axe only for parrying. If the varin's Axe effect triggers on a dagger strike, it might still be worth it, just to see how fast the attacks will become.
How do you have so many crafting materials? I’m constantly on empty when it comes to upgrading my weapons / armor, easiest way to get them?
Chests. I have over a thousand of each right now too. Just open all the yellow dots on your map...it's usually chests with materials.
@@shelbotron09 I’ve been doing that and it seem I’m still always on empty, and I literally takes hundreds to fully upgrade a single piece to mythic lol.
Wealth locations in high power areas give you 100+ of iron and leather from each chest. Sometimes chests will give you supplies so not all of them will give materials.
If you’re going for the first time to The church in Ledecestre, the door is bared from behind. You need to clean up above the door and break the wooden wall. That will allow you to get through and break the bar of the door. 👍

No he is not a Dane, end of the game (not spoiling it), he is referred to as a Dane and someone corrects that person and says he is Norse, not Dane. Eivor even goes as far to say to and i quote "You have good ears, you listen well."
Yes, he was Norse coming from Norway, however in Anglo-Saxon era England the term "Dane" was used to refer to anyone from Scandinavia as the Danes were the first (and most predominant) set of Scandinavians to come "Vikingr" in England, thus the name stuck when referring to any Dane, Norwegian & Swedish "viking" by the Anglo-Saxons.

So, I'm only idk like 10-ish hours into the game, mostly (almost exclusively) doing exploration. And my biggest thing is the lack of swords..... How isn't there any Ulfberhts to get in Norway? Then in England (so far, I just got there) there's only one sword available at the merchant shops. This is 9th century England.

Noticed this and it threw me off so hard!!!!
At the moment I use iron star flail and Hrafn Guard light shield... with this combo, you need to be good at parying, once you get it, your speed will increase up to 5 times I believe and you are basically unstopable with the iron star... its kind of op, the flail are the one I always go to, when I struggle with a boss and I cant get it otherwise.

Exactly the reasons why I absolutely love this combat system if it's balanced correctly and more focused on weapon variety.

Skadi’s wrath is cool and all, but the viper bow that you can get from the store at your settlement is way better. It stacks critical chance with each hit, skipping over the having to hit weak points. Just head over to the blacksmith and upgrade it to gold and put a critical damage rune on it and it shreds shit.
Valhalla also need swords, Sigurd and enemies use viking swords but we cannot get those weapons.

I tried a spear on second hand combine with a seax in first hand and I love how you can stab ennemy and then impale them holding the L1, then releasing L1, which make them come closer to you and then do it again with the seax... really the combat in this game is insanely fun cause of all the possibilities.
I use that carlovingian greatsword my favorite if I'm being honest
I’m running that with a spear and sometimes a Dane axe, the one that sets your weapons on fire
im running dual wield swords excalibur and carlovingian until i can get thors axe or odins spear

Personally I use a axe in one hand and then nothing in the other I’m playing a stealth build and assasination build and it’s truly amazing slow motion going behind a zealot and then stabbing him with the hidden blade in the off hand

I've mainly been using Vinirs axe and the raiders axe. Running around with duel axes is probably my favorite way to fight.
Not sure where I found it but I used the golden axe that lights on fire.. And I paired it with the shield that explodes fire when blocking.
