It’s the most wonderful time of the year!!! And we get to spend it in Bucharest, Romania! ⇩⇩Click ‘show more’⇩⇩
This is our first Christmas in Europe and our second experience of Christmas markets EVER, so we were truly excited to be spending them here in Bucharest as we’ve heard very good things about these markets. What makes the Christmas markets in Bucharest so unique is the amount of traditional Romanian food you will find! In this video, we try some of the famous pork and polenta with a side of cabbage and of course a lovely cup of vin fiert and crepes for dessert!

My name is Lana and I come from New Zealand!
I chose to leave my job as a nurse to go travelling in 2018, little did I know that I wouldn’t return to my nursing life. Are you in Bucharest for the fireworks? This year they were amazing. I can't say which one, the Brits say Sibiu especially and Bucharest are in top 5 in Europe, but I do enjoy the white cottage houses in Cluj Napoca. I believe you can find really nice Christmas markets now everywhere at big towns. Some of very small towns, even under 10k, now have Christmas markets. Bucharest, Sibiu, Brasov, Cluj Napoca, Timisoara, Oradea etc all are nice.
Alin Petrus Yes we saw the fireworks here last night! It was amazing. In my home we’re not allowed to buy fireworks so it was really cool to see everyone with their own fireworks 😆 Christmas in Romania was so fun! I’m glad we came here, maybe next time we can visit the smaller cities 😊 Thanks for all the recommendations!!

this is kinda market that we like...especially with the traditional and authentic foods! wanna try that warm wine ^^ that polenta and pork..so tender and juicy...with pickles of cabbage! yum! love the Christmas ambience...^^

A huge load like that in your cities would get you to a contury wide blackout. Romania can afford this because the electrical grid was designed to suport future heavy industries,it generates so much energy that we export it to the neighbour conturies.I'm sorry to dissapoint you.....

Have you tried cabbage rolls ? They are the best thing to eat in Romania.you can also have them with polenta.

True! It was a bit expensive for Romania 🇷🇴 But so worth it! It’s sometimes hard to find the best local foods, so this market was great!
Actually Bucharest is more like a communist city but it does have that French architecture since most of our culture in the XIX and XX century was trying to copy French culture. If you really want to get a feel of Romania visit : Brasov ,Sibiu,Cluj-Napoca,Sighisoara, Sovata,the Maramures zone,the Danube Delta,Mamaia or Vama Veche (partying on the beach) ,the Transafagarasan road ,Retezat national park .Hopefully we can all start travelling after this virus thing .
I hope that we can travel Romania again! I would love to visit these other smaller towns. Because we were there in winter we decided to come back for the summer to visit the places we missed. And the architecture was so interesting in Bucharest! Thanks for the great recommendations 😊🙏

Depends! Can start from 450 euro up to 600 euro. Not everyone is the minimum wage like 320 euro. Salary is paid monthly. Of course, If you have experience in some categories you can earn easily from 800 euro to 2000 euro.
