I hope the farmers will never die, otherwise we will get fake products from the supermarkets. Biggest markets in Romania are Lidl, Auchan, Kaufland and Carrefour.

What happened to NZ? I remember my parents struggled after the fall of communism and wanted to emigrate in the 90s in NZ, we still think about Australia and NZ as some beautiful place huge salaries a great life and cheap food. My father died in 2006 after struggling with an illness, we never got to NZ

i m from romania. i can say tho u find groceries way cheaper than mega, that s pretty expensive .
and acomodation at airbnb is expensive as well. if u rent an apartment for 1-2 months it s way cheaper.
same with eating out, especially in old town everything is expensive. there ar beetter places.

Update: Hey guys! A few of you have wondered about our Airbnb cost. Please keep in mind we stayed in Bucharest for Christmas and New Years so the price was a little higher. If you want to rent more affordable apartments you can meet locals in Facebook groups and rent through them. AirBnb is usually more expensive.
