La 15@ sinfonía op. 141 de D. Shostakovich fue escrita a finales de 1970 y terminada a finales de julio de 1971, fue estrenada el 8 de enero de 1972 bajo la dirección de Maxim Shostakovich.
That's Rinat Ibragimov as principal bass! I'm quite sure he's the best musician to ever play this instrument. Also, kudos to all orchestra members. The soloists are impressive. If you have ever performed anything on-stage, you know how nervous you can feel, it's too much pressure, especially in a top-notch orchestra context. Perfect intonation, precise rhythm, beautiful tone...great stuff.
Odd that there would be so many comments about Shostakovitch's 15th Symphony, when it's obviously not that piece, nor by Shostakovitch. The title shows up as a piece by Michael Haydn and sounds like it. An electronic snafu?
I counted about four seconds of William Tell in there. I guess even before copyright strikes were a thing, Shostakovich still knew that a sample of less than five seconds was probably safe.
This is a wonderful performance of a magnificent symphony. Gergiev dose a marvelous job of conducting this and all of Shostakovichs symphonies. Simply the best. Anyways, it's awful that he's friends with Putin and dosen't denounce what Putin is doing in the Ukraine. For that I have lost all respect for Gergiev. May God be with the people of the Ukraine.
No worse than being friends with any number of Western leaders who've made a sport of invading smaller countries for centuries. Gergiev remains a master, regardless of his friendships.
I really can't tell what the situation is in Russia nowadays. But, as a matter of fact, politics can be a very sensitive topic because depending on what you do or say, you can have some pretty damaging consequences, to say the least. Not saying that's his case, but I've seen it many times...
_Blue Velvet_ brought me here.
Dmitri Shostakovich kept me here.
haha same here. Just watched it 20 minutes ago.
Strange and absolutely beautiful.
The best conductor of the wordl. A genius.
Littéralement enfoncé dans sa partition, il dirige de toute sa passion pour ce compositeur.
A legjobb orosz zeneszerző és a legjobb kortárs karmester. Köszönöm az élményt.
Final fantástico para una última sinfonía... Genial Shostakovich. Genial pueblo ruso, también por su resistencia.
I adore the end of the symphony, particularily moving knowing that it's DS last one.

Yess !
No little !
@@hassan.aladawy Yes, a little.

Anyone know that the begining part of this video came from what symphony and movement of Shostakovich?
Nr 10 - 2
What is the opening piece of the video?
2nd movement Symphony No. 10 Shostakovich
3:11 Rossini
45:44 "Leider nicht von mir!" (Ennio Morricone)
A commercial every 2 minutes is ABSURD !!!!!!
Agreed. I can stand them during the moments in between movements, but the way it's done here completely breaks up the flow.
Get yourself an adblock.

Gergiev is a Russian patriot, not a west fifth column. Rusia will again defeat Neonazis in Ukraine.
Very disappointing to learn this about Gergiev.
Дак иди на войну за алчность США, ждём тебя.
Встретим как Гитлера.
И не сомневайся.
