The so-called Gordon deal makes me sick. I can't believe for one second we'd move him on after one full season where he was our best player. He's clearly happy and having a fantastic impact. Take the points deduction.
As a Liverpool fan Gordon is miles ahead of Diaz statistically and is home grown so I understand the move.
However for the price being touted I would much rather we go for someone like kvaradonna. That is no disrespect to Gordon as he's also class and a Liverpool fan.
You are correct regarding Newcastle should just take the deduction. What's the point of building your club up over the years only to have your best players poached at a cut price. As an outsider why are you in breach of the rules? Who did you over spend on?
@@jezzazo to be honest, I've no idea. The whole PSR thing is perplexing to me. I know we've spent, but I didn't think it was Chelsea-esque levels. And how can PSR really be fair when it encourages you to sell-on homegrown talent (like Anderson) for pure profit. These are the players for which you'll get long-term value from and therefore will make a club more sustainable . It makes no sense.
The message should come from the fans LOUD AND CLEAR to the club that we say TAKE THE POINTS DEDUCTION. Fuck the Premier League and its bullshit cartel-protecting PSR. Bring it on!

Elanga got 9 assists last season for Forest. Miggy has not hit that number in 5 years
If we sell Gordon to LFC, then the mask is off. The 'project' isn't to be number one, it's to be Brighton 2.0: buying low, selling high; generating profits but delivering no silverware. Time for the club to speak to the fans on what the project genuinely is. What do they want to achieve, how and over what timescale?

Not a chance we sell Gordon, Isak, or Bruno. It's journo noise. If Elanga-Anderson were a straight swap, valued at 40M each way, solves problems for both clubs. Elanga is an upgrade on Miggy and would allow us to keep Minteh. Would Anderson sign off on it, though?
Why do TH-camrs insist on pretending every news story is true? Isak apparently has been "sold" about 50 times since he was signed. Same with Bruno. Same with Gordon. It's getting really old this hysterical reaction every time a journalist does a bit of creative writing
I believe Eddie can turn Elanga into a far better player than Almiron. But I’m tempted to take a points deduction over selling one of our big name players.

I think it's a bit weird to say the least to say that Elanga is "no better than Almiron". Elanga is a 22 year old player with plenty of potential to improve, who in a poor Forest side still beat Almiron's purple patch season goal involvements by one.

F*** these financial rules, NUFC the supposedly wealthiest club in the PL having to consider selling their best players, while clubs like Chelsea sea and Manchester City can flout the rules and no action taken against them. Whatever happened to the 115 charges against City, and Chelsea’s huge spending goes unchallenged.
i said it on another channel but if Gordon, Isak, Bruno go then our owners including Amanda have been taking the piss. I can just about deal with Minteh going because he could fail, if he does do well hopefully we will have a nice buy back or sell on clause.

The PSR rules are sickening and ruining the EPL. God forbid any 'smaller' club actually have a period of organic success because they won't be able to capitalize and build on that under these rules. I'm gutted we've had to sell Minteh to Brighton. He was a standout for Feyenoord and I was looking forward to seeing him come home. I'm with others on here, take the points deduction, screw PSR and keep moving onwards and upwards. Why should we abide by these non-sensical, partisan, financial rules which are only benefiting the incumbents?

Well this video ruined my morning coffee. While is may or may not be true, these journos are always stirring the pot. It seems that the club has bent over backwards to play by the rules. I say take the points deduction. Its a miracle we attracted this quality of player this quickly. Just by example even if Man City were to be relegated for their alleged actions, one would have to say it would have been worth it to them. This is nowhere near the same scale. Sam I know all these reports are out in the media bye some good journalists but until Nufc come out and confirm what is being said then I’m taking it with a pinch of salt.
Also I think Nufc should release a statement tomorrow or Monday regarding these issues as this is causing a lot of uncertainty amongst Newcastle fans and rightly so and if Isak or Gordon was sold we would have another Keegan on the steps explaining why but this time it would have to come from Howe or our ceo because the fans will need a fair and honest reason why this had to happen.
