Won't happen if they want Quansah, but, I'm OK with that, Quansah is not worth losing.
Gordon will still be there, he isn't on a long contract at Newcastle and when a player really wants to sign for their boyhood club and that club likes the player a lot it usually happens at some point.

They’re crazy if they let Quansah go. He’s got such a high ceiling. A ball playing CB, who can dribble, look after the ball and has so much ability and skill. Are they crazy! Quansah’s going to get better and better. One of my favourite players. Needless to say, 🤞🏾we get Gordon, but not at the expense of Quansah. He’ll be a fantastic addition. Love his skill and tenacity. agree with fans every decision we make under new management has to be right for us to trust them. Buying gordon would have been a good buy,, but not at the expense of quansah who honestly in some games was our best CB, which nobody expected the lad could reach that level. I watching him for u21s and he was just okay but some of his performances for the first team have been world class. The warrington lad is class!
Giving up Quansah for Gordon is a massive mistake. I hope there is another option
we need to keep Jarell, he's a potential lifetime team player if he keeps improving on his already impressive capabilities.
The only thing that scared me about the Everton team Gordon was in was Gordon himself, he was tearing us apart with his runs, if he could do that for us, we'd have so many options it'd almost feel wrong.
Plus he scored that goal last season when we were at Newcastle, Trent did make a dumb mistake but man what quick reaction Gordon had and pounced, I remember thinking wow, what a goal

I'll be mad if our defense is still not good enough next season because we didn't improve it. I mean bottom line was we conceded too many early and/or dumb goals. Yet we seem focused on everything but improving our defense. I'm guessing the hope is the manager will some how sort it with the same players but i'm skeptical. If i was a betting man if nothing significant changes with either the back 4 or defensive mid i'd say by January we as fans will be wondering what happened, blaming fsg. Right now we should be making improvements to match City. And i think as presently constructed our squad might fall short because of defensive issues.
I generally love players that have speed and Gordon is homegrown but Quansah is our future so no way

I had a feeling we’d make a move for him. He’s probably top of Hughes list for wide attackers available. He’s what we need at LW imo. A more effective player with pace. 23, homegrown, local lad etc. He can play across the front as well. This defo means Diaz is gone as well which is good. Get it done LFC.

Conspiracy theory: we want Gordon (Scouser) b/c we are preparing to let TAA go. This way we have at least one regular starting Scouser for LFC. What do you guys think? Just a thought, I do not want Trent to leave, but knowing he is on last year, and Real Madrid circling w/Jude (best bro) is concerning.
Lobbed corners by TAA have been ineffective this season and also very few accurate freekicks. Liverpool coaches have been planning for second phase from corners because of this but they say due to not enough height apart from VVD. It is debatable why we are so eneffective from free kicks and corners but firing in the kicks with more venom now and again might help.
Gordon would be a good signing with the variation in his play adding something.
Quansah should be kept. Apart from horrendous blind pass against united and a few other blips he looks to be promising for the future.
I’ve always wanted Anthony Gordon he’s brilliant but no one is taking quansah he’s grown to be one of my favourite players and he’s the future of the club. Although if Liverpool want to pay up £60-£70m I’m all in for the lad

After Newcastle brought him, Gordon's behaviour towards Everton was horrendous. There was a big deal around it at the time. Bare in mind the Everton fans loved Gordon and were so close to relegation. Zero loyalty imo if he came to Liverpool and another club say Madrid came for him he would force a move

This makes no sense, even if Diaz were to leave. We have others that can play on the left. Need a right sided attacker.
The Athletic stating that their information is that £25m will be enough to get Newcastle United on the right side of the PSR line 5 days ago.
So a £70-75m bid gets them that £25m profit on him. That’s a similar price to what we could potentially sell Diaz for, so as an outright position player swap I would go for it as I believe Gordon gives us a bit more end product.

so if this is true they dont have to sell Gordon I think as the reported £25 million they need will be covered, If I'm correct in my thinking.

That's a weird one, because even if Diaz left we still have Gakpo who is clearly better on the left. I wouldn't mind including Jota who is injury prone though, but i doubt they'd be interested for the exact same reason.

I would love us to get Gordon. Not sure where he would play mind you, have to flip Diaz over on right. Watching him in the England Camp interviews, he honestly comes across as a genuine guy, astute, well read and articulate. Unlike a lot of footballers who can barely speak English without slang. But, they’ve only recently bought him. So I just don’t see it happening at all.

That would be a betrayal of Clark who chose to leave Newcastle.. He could always refuse but the attempt would send the wrong message to other young players.
