The W212 have it’s own soul, you can clearly see the difference between C, E and S class from that same generation. But the W213 literally a smaller W222 and a bigger W205
W213 is better. I’m now at 100,000 miles. Yes my 2018 is at 100,000. E300 4Matic. Besides PCV no problem and far better quality than the W212. No seat tears or switch problems. Just cup holder

I’m from the United States so my 2018 is the last year for the infamous M274 engine which was known to have little to catastrophic problems such as a piston cracking. I have gone and done 5,000 mile oil changes and have done one kind of gas from chevron only from my owner ship. Did plugs and other stuff at 100,000 miles like transmission and diff. Thermostat as well because I was telling it was going out. Routine maintenance and this will last. But unfortunately this engine for 12-17 is a ticking time bomb. But the car itself quality is great. No mb Tex reads or chips on the switches like the W212. Electronics I am content with the car.
I think the pre facelift W212 was better than the facelift W212. They got really lazy with the elegance models after 2014 and the sport models are just trying to be something they're not
New E class looks like an older Toyota Camry. W212 & W213 are better. The only thing that has happened to my 16' E63S is some einstein German engineer thought it would be a good thing to put the front propeller shafts rear u-joint inside the transmission instead of outside the transmission on the actual propeller shaft itself. So guess what went bad? That u-joint. So guess what I had to buy at about 100k miles? Not something simple like a front propeller shaft because the u-joint went bad, no. I had to buy a whole new transmission (well remanufactured because Mercedes doesn't make the transmissions anymore). I had to pay $14k to the dealer to get a new transmission put in. Stupid horrible design to put a u-joint inside of the transmission. But other than that I love the car.
W213 interior is so much better. Both cases V6 diesel may be better choice then R4. W212FL front is nice but only front, estate both looks very similar.
W213 pre facelift looks really luxury, the facelift is more agressive and less luxury. Your information about the service is also not accurate. The petrol engine needs every 25k km a service and this is the first e-class with color changing ambient.
Basic audio in w213 is horrible, my old Mondeo was much better. Climate control and entertainment system are visually nice, but comparing with budget limusine Skoda Superb 3 everything in Mercedes is complicated like in space ship, lagging sometimes and is non intuitive...
What evidence do you have to back up your theory here? Sounds like you are just saying things based on what other people are saying. Of course things will fail and break but it doesn't sound like you can provide any thing to back up your story.

I have w212 facelift e200 bluetech 2016, and now have 400000km no problem, my friend bought w213 and he have many problems after i driwen 70000.
