Quite right Ray!! After leaving my first comment on this video I awoke one morning to a knock on my door. I let my Father in and he sat down in tears and told me that he'd just been to see his doctor and the doctor had confirmed that he had Lung Cancer. I'd not once seen my Father cry before that day. That day has changed not only his life but mine too. I now take him for chemo therapy but whether it's going to save his life and keep him with me for much longer...................it's all out of our hands now!! You never know what life will throw at you next.

This quiet, slow pace is actually kind of meditative. One of the things I like about the channel is actually that you work in different tones. You'll have an upbeat vid with a bud, or family, and then a quieter goal-oriented vid. This second type is way better for just putting on when I'm around the house. It's like a window to a backyard forest I don't actually have. Kudos

Hey Joe, just want to say thanks for getting me back into camping. Used to do tent camping at some remote places but mostly provincial camp grounds. It' been years since I have done it. Aired out the tents last year and they basically disintegrated in the sun lol. After watching your videos I bought a new tent, backpack, and numerous hiking and camping equipment between March and April of this year 2018 from various stores...Canadian Tire & Walmart in Brockville, Pro Bass Shop in Vaughn, Atmosphere In Kingston, Sail in Ottawa. I seem to be addicted right now in this stuff. My 5 year old son is really excited to go camping for his first time. He asks me every day if we are going to set up the tent. Anyways, just wanted to say thanks for inspiring me to get back into it.

Two tall trees, a birch and a beech, are growing in the woods. A small tree begins to grow between them, and the beech says to the birch, "Is that a son of a beech or a son of a birch?"
The birch says he cannot tell. Just then a woodpecker lands on the sapling. The birch says, "Woodpecker, you are a tree expert. Can you tell if that is a son of a beech or a son of a birch?"
The woodpecker takes a taste of the small tree. He replies, "It is neither a son of a beech nor a son of a birch. It is, however, the best piece of ash I have ever put my pecker in."

Rhys Aistrope 7 minutes ago "Bruce Foote sir what are you on about?" By the way, what kind of question is "on about?" What, are you really dumb?
Eleanor Fleming 5 minutes ago "Was this meant to be a joke because no one is laughing to be honest it is just really confusing"
Joe's channel has been around a really long time, is well respected, and is a bit of a "family channel" and I'm no prude, but do you really want to sit around the family dinner table, and discuss this topic with your kids. So, Eleanor, I don't know what flavor you are but I really don't think you need be "CONFUSED" about it, And actually, if you really are confused, maybe you aught to talk to someone about that. Regards all. Again Joe, I think you run a great channel.

So I've never been one for the outdoors, but my husband started watching you for fun and started buying all sorts of gear that you use in your videos. It became a big joke between us every time a package arrived/arrives (they are still coming). I started watching you with him and you have caused me to rethink my views on camping! haha! In the past week we have created 3 of our own videos documenting our little family adventures and wannabe bushcraft skills. You inspired us! LOL!! I'm actually uploading them to my channel as we speak....

Wow great video Joe. Looks like its probably 5 or 6 years ago. Lots of good ideas. I like the way you explain the way you do things. You have came along ways on your talking and filming. The more you do the better you get. Thanks for taking us along.

I've learned a lot just in the few videos I watched. I never know about the Canadian knot, how to make a bed, and a few other tidbits. I love watching you build shelters for sure.

It's great to see how the video quality has changed, Joe. If you have more I am sure would all like to see them. If you are up for it Joe I'd like it if you could describe potential hazards some of us should be aware of if we attempt to do what you are doing. I'm sure you would be helping several of your subscribers. As an example of some of the hazards I have come across are the wild animals I have to contend with. In my neck of the woods ( northern Ontario ) i often meet up with wolves, black bears and the odd cougar. Also have to deal with swarms of black flies and mosquitos. Then there's bogs and marshes etc.
The reason I mention this is because I know of people who died because they weren't prepared when they went into the bush. As you mention in the video you want to teach these skills. You are an inspiration to all us subscribers, Joe. I leave it up to you to decide. Great job so far!

If you haven't already I'd love to see a video on how to do some useful knots to use while in the woods. Thanks and keep the great videos coming!

Would love to see a long term shelter build. Something you could (assuming availability of resources) spend a season in. Made of natural materials.
    Always enjoy the vids, Joe.
    Take care.

I love it when you make the shelters completely out of wood! So it’s more of a home than a camp

I do have to say that your older videos are almost hard to watch. Now your content is so high quality and you seem so much more involved with commentary and everything, you also gotten a little goofy at sometimes which we need more of in this world! Steller videos my dude!

Joe great content& yes I've enjoyed them all thus far :) After your comment about wanting to get people out more. That was true for me. You've inspired me to go out & bushcraft the heck out of my camping trips. So don't thank us. Thank you & keep on keeping on Joe.
