Today, after being aggravated by world news, I discovered your channel and let it run while doing morning chores. Your easy stream-of-consciousness while sharing plans you had in mind and why, then each step in accomplishing them--without blue language and immodesty--including your reactions to the first duff-lined bed that didn't work, and why; the first bite of steak roasted on bare coals, the fire reflector, and utter calm of the woods was memorably instructive. Once we've seen it done, we're more capably prepared. I kept rewinding the video (of the cherished camp you disassembled for good), feeling my own Army-brat sadness from all the beautiful places we lived and had to leave. After we cleared out and cleaned up after ourselves, we always paused at the threshold to thank the home for the safety and love it provided while we were there. Now, seven hours later, am still watching and learning from you. Of course I Subscribed!

I'm glad you take ticks seriously. Lyme disease is spreading north because of warming environment. I have been battling Lyme disease for 5+ years and it has nearly killed me. Forced me into early retirement/disabled. I did not take the bites/infection seriously until I started having stroke symptoms/neuropathy/and a litany of other symptoms, chronic extreme pain and weakness/fatigue. Lyme is a great imitator of many other diseases and is difficult to diagnose properly. Almost of the local Dr's refused to believe that I have Lyme because it doesn't officially exist here in Northern Idaho. I had to do the research for diagnosis and treatment on my own. Fortunately there is ongoing research at the University of New Haven that may cure Lyme. Using raw Stevia/Stevia liquid extract and 2 natural antibiotics, Banderol and Samento has certainly turned my life around in the past 4 months. Lyme had caused me to completely give up outdoor recreation. Hoping that I've finally beat it back enough to resume living. It has been rough but I think the worst is behind me. I took a quick peak through comments out of curiosity. The words "sellout / redundant" popped up. Not sure what people think puts food on the table and a roof over heads, but it's money. For those of us with a desk job, it's called a salary. For people like Joe it's called sponsors/subscribers/clicks. Now, if someone wanted to pay me to be out in nature with my dog or riding my motorcycle or traveling then I'd sing the praises of any product I felt was worth it. Don't slag the guy off cause your life sucks at your 9-5. The only thing I think Joe needs to do is interact with his subscribers a little more. I've posted a few of my own questions and I've seen others that go unanswered, other than that, I click on the sponsors and like buttons whenever I can.
