I just wanted to say thank you Joe, because of these kinds of videos it has given me the courage to go back country camping/hiking. Ever since I was a little kid I liked camping and I even spent my first pay checks buying camping gear but only using it in my parents backyard. Years and years went by and I watched some of your videos and I thought I can do this. I bought canadian tire gear and went out to Frontenac provincial park to try back country camping. I have a problem dealing with stress, I been in the hospital multiple times cause it would manifest in heart attack like symptoms. I started backcountry camping August of 2015, and I can say now that the woods call to me when I feel stressed. In 2016 I've been back country camping / hiking every month expect January and February. My wife went with me for the majority of the times but I have taken a likening to solo hiking / camping. I live in eastern Ontario but if you need friends Joe I would gladly make the drive to camp with you for one over nighter, I would bring beer brewed in Quebec. Anyways I just wanted to say thank you for inspiring me buddy. Have a good one
Ryan Quesnel that is awesome to hear, Buddy:)

This deep friendship between jeo and scout is so beautiful, it‘s just such a great thing to be out in the woods with your best pal❤️🐶
Two videos in one day? What did we do to deserve these awesome videos?! Love ya Joe and scout!
lol, it was actually a mistake :)....don't tell anyone...hahaha
As a log lover I always have an incredible amount of respect for a person who treats their dog like a family member. Subscribed!!
Blade Runner log lover??? Do you mean dog?
Gaming With Jacob I love logs so much, they're so passionate
I love logs too!
Blade Runner log lover did you mean DOG lover?
This is absolutely my favorite TH-cam channel. It's so calming. It's like ASMR but it takes actual skill and effort to make.
Watching this series over for probably the 5th time. Just love it. As many times as I’ve seen it it feels I learn something new each time.
I always find it refreshing watching your videos Joe. So laid back and chilled - thanks for another great upload! - Mike
thanks, Mike! I enjoy your stuff as well :)
Would love to Collaborate at some point!
Your welcome to Sweden! Welcome to my channel, but its in swedish..

I love how Scout thinks every stick is his :) :) :)
They are ALL his...
Because they are all his. What's yours is his and what's his is his.
That was another good one Joe. Too damn long - I keep thinking I don't have time to watch them and then I end up watching every minute. Smoky fire at one point. :)
hahaha, keep pullin ya back in.
Looks like you're having a grand old time brother.I love doing these overnighters with my dog and it's always a pleasant experience.Wishing you the best of times in the outdoors and all the best from Bulgaria !
Great Vid, please keep these coming. It's awesome to live vicariously through them for those of us who can't get out to the woods as often as we'd like.
Just found your channel today and cant stop watching! You're really entertaining and its really refreshing to see a bushcraft channel that doesn't take themselves SUPER seriously. I love that I can watch your videos and feel like I'm just chillin with you in the forest. :D Keep up on adventuring dude!
thats awesome to hear! thanks :)
Victor Bartolome me two i started watching and instantly good hooked
JoeRobinetBushcraft how do you make your fires
Victor Bartolome same
I couldn't agree more about the not so serious thing. Makes it relate-able and way more fun to watch. You're having a shit load of fun out there and that's what it's all about.
With you the whole way Joe. Liked the comment about just playing in the woods. It's what we;re all doing, just messing around like little kids. Used to make all sorts of forts when I was young!
you know it man...to much seriousness in our hobby.
Thanks buddy.
The Wooded Beardsman right😀
Joe Robinet you got 8 likes and this comment was 8 month ago :D
The Wooded Beardsman I'm supped to you and Joe. What a world.
You can see and feel how excited joe gets doing this stuff, kinda inspires you . keep it up joe
Something about your videos I find very relaxing watch them before I go to bed every night
I dont knw why but my 7 yr son loves watching your episodes every night 😁 He loves watching them with your dog. Keep up the good work and be safe !!
I do like the series, you get a sense of continuity. Thanks Joe, very much instructive!
you can tell by the popularity of this channel, that most of us aren't getting enough "this" in our lives... god damn grind..
i'd do this over a 9-5 anyday...
could you build a little lean to for scout?
roughyedspud please!
roughyedspud haha I was thinking the same thing
TheKingDan same
roughyedspud that is a great idea.
That sounds good
Hi, Joe. Your vlogs make me happy and you've taught an old man, to better appreciate life. Thankyou for that. You are a good kid.
The sounds of nature, no need to apologize for, they sound beautiful!! Your earrings though, different story!
You and scout are the definition of friendship and he's the definition of loyalty
Thanks for taking us along for all of us old and disabled who can't do it anymore. I have loved it every since I was in the Boy scouts and got my first taste of it and enjoyed it until I couldn't do it anymore, Thanks to Agent Orange, which just seems to keep on giving.
I was born in early '44.
Thankful I live in the country and the woods is just out the door :-) Eat desert first, nothing is certain about later !
1st Cav.
thanks for watching!
Thank you for your service victor...
Thank you for your service, brother. I feel your pain. 3bn/1st Marines/1st Marine Division in Nam with lots of bush-time in the Central Highlands (I Corps) up north. Lots of spraying up there also. Joe has also been an inspiration to me, enough so that I'm looking forward to spending time, in the very near future, in the central highlands of northern New Mexico.
Good job
I like how when you're cooking, I usually see Scouts front feet sneak into the camera frame. Good dog.
Excuse my French but- this content is so fucking great! Couldn't be happier rn.
Thanks!! :)
JoeRobinetBushcraft what size is the silky saw you using, is that the pocket boy? And what axe? Cheers from Portugal, great videos.
Capn Heebes honestly
Capn Heebes n'est-ce pas! If I wrote that wrong sorry i take french class
The dog paces right in front of where you are talking.. so funny! He doesn't understand why you are having a conversation by yourself... Great video! Love love the dog!
Hey I just got done watching your "snow/winter" 2 night bushcraft. I have not heard of you before or watched any of your other video's. Something about the way you do it, I cannot put my finger on it, but I enjoyed, immensely. Thank you for putting it together. .I like your reference about "just building forts" , and you cook up some cool grub.. I am originally from upstate NY but have been living life way down south in the bayou. I do miss camping out in the cold. Enjoyed the
Jambalaya in the woods, ha ha..
thanks, man :)
JoeRobinetBushcraft I couldn't agree with him more! Your videos are amazing and I find my self watching all of your videos now! I haven't tried that beer but when I'm at the vendor next I'll try one! They have them here in my town! Also live in Canada and I'm just in Manitoba 30 mins east of Winnipeg! I have a lake I go to every year in Ontario by Manaki!
JoeRobinetBushcraft is a beast
Thanks Joe. Been away for a while. Health issues. Havnt been in the woods for over a month. Always a pleasure to watch you and Scout. Plenty of inspiration for when I feel better. I just gotta get me my own Scout. The ole lady wont mind. She loves shepards. Give Scout a milkbone from me. Stay safe buds..
Cuts the sausage & then all a sudden you see Scouts paw come in from the bottom right of the frame!
when he's cutting the wood its kinda satisfing and I love watching your camping videos this is my third one your doing awesome on TH-cam so please keep up the good work
thanks!
"I need some friends" made me chuckle...
Dude, u got tons of utube friends - u cud announce where ur gonna be n ask people to come over to hang out n bring their own beer!
Joe really enjoy your videos. I have to apologize to you because. the first time I stumbled on your vids it was with another young man and I had the impression you were just a smart as no nothing kid. As I watched more I found you were a compassionate young family man who loves the outdoors and spending time with your dog. I am subscribed, but more importantly. I am a 73 yu old guy with a bad hart and can't get out except in my truck. Watching your videos make me feel almost like being there, working on shelter improvements, cooking a tasty meal, and using your equipment. So a big thank you and you are a very fine young man.
Would love to see more in this series...please
I love the sound of wind surfing through the tops of trees. Didn't bother me at all. That's what its about. Scout got so excited when you pulled that tree down! Lol, his eyes were dancing!
Man i need some friends to! None of my friends are into camping/ bushcraft, they are more into bar hopping.
lure them with beers brotha
Brock Domain I'll go with you bro
Brock Domain I know what you mean,i started in you tube to find some like minded People
Saaaame! I'm in Toronto (didn't grow up here) and would like to get away from some concrete! Got a bit of bushcraft experience. Would love to learn more!
Same boat here. K-w area. Open to suggestions -meet ups - overnighters.
Every video makes me feel like I'm camping with you, thanks for being real!!! Wish I could play with Scout! Love him!
I have a small tip for you: When you use your firesteel, pull the rod back instead of pushing your knife, it could possibly put out the fire or push your tinder around. Really enjoy your videos :)
I understand that people have different ways of doing things. This is the way I was taught, and works very well, are you able to ignite wood shavings with the pull back method?
Yeah nothing wrong with the way you're doing it, it just seems to work better for me.
Scooter is the best friend you could ever need. Great videos.
I'm finding your videos increasingly enjoyable. You've gotten better, given the videos a more narrative feel. Either that or I've eaten too much yellow snow.
either way! :)
I really like that you are keeping it real . Just playing in the woods. It is fun to watch you figuring it out as you go and not making this some kind of super serious SHTF scenario.
Hey, Joe! Keep stacking those logs like that and you could build yourself a cabin! I really enjoy your videos.
thanks!
Honest, natural, entertaining.
Your Bushcraft series is my favorite thing to watch on youtube
nice!
wow that was quick responding
I really like that dog. Thats the mentality im looking for in a dog. Calm, yet interested and joyous. Very obedient, yet a bit strong minded.
That guy treats his dog well !.
TFlubonis hey honestly I don’t care if people spoil their dog because I would rather have them do that than abuse their dog
And he's such a good dog, too.
I Love how your dog can entertain himself all the time with sticks 😂😂 so ardorable. Never stop making this Videos pls 👍
Well done. Always a pleasure to watch your videos.
I watch all of your videos Joe. A few things that make them outstanding are, the way you speak to us and explain what’s going on, the great production and post production techniques, and your skills. I really enjoy them . Thanks.
R.I.P. Scout 😢
Catching up on some old videos
I love watching your videos in the evening before going to bed. Makes it feel like im back on a trip again. I love how you catch the feeling in every video you make. Take care!
Im glad I found this channel. Loving it!
ps. I am more than happy to send you some real English Ales! You'd love them.
Same
There is nothing like the smell of a campfire. It is so wonderful and there is nothing more peaceful then being in the woods away from the daily grind. Having a cold beer in the summer and in the winter, heating up spiced apple cider with Brandy. Not for the kids tho. I love you videos joe.
Or rum in the cider.
cool video 🙂 I can't wait to get into the woods I haven't been camping for maybe 15 years when I was a scout. I've ordered a traditional baker tent it will be cool to try it out :) it looks relaxing sleeping next to a fire
it sure is :)
Came for the bushcraft, stayed for Scout. Great channel, thanks!
Great video, you should do more of these
by the way first!!
HI joe !!! you grow on people !!! and teach ! THANK YOU !!! Ilost my little brother this year ! I can say he would of been one of your FANS !!!
Joe the scariest experience I have had in the woods happen one evening while squirrel hunting. Up on a ridge above me a bobcat cried out. It made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Sounded just like a human baby crying. Scared me right to the bones..... I hope I never hear that again.
no doubt!
Joe: Great video. I've enjoyed all three. Just wondered, how old is Scout?
The Eternal Shitlord thanks, he's 9
JoeRobinetBushcraft Thanks for the reply.
I like how well trained he is. I have a 2 year-old Jack Russell who isn't a tenth of how obedient Scout is.
Yeah they have all kinds of sounds...I heard mt. cats in Pennsylvania sounding like a anything from a woman crying to downright strange ones. Hard to fall asleep the first time I heard 'em.
I love that you said it's all just playing... I feel the same way :)
And The Vader time statement was Superb!
Scout is just Beautiful!!! You are a wonderful pet owner. Did you train him yourself? He really listens to you at every command. You are awesome and so is Scout!!! I really love Scout!
Jennifer Herrington yup he trained him byself.. He firstly worked at petstore
Having the dog with you makes all the difference.
Nice film.)
Build scout a dog house beside the base camp so he can have cover as well! Like if you agree
You look cool Joe and your doing good things. You are Blessed with the gift of being an outdoorsman.
Dude! If I wasn't all the way down here in Georgia, I would love to do a trip with you. That would be a bid hoot! Great video Bro!
I am concur, any time to camp and share a beer is a good day.
I would love to have a cuppatea with him but I'm a bit far away from him all the way down in Australia :D we have some great bush but nothing like those massive lake trips hes been on.
In the Woods with Bigfoot im bout an hr north of atlanta bud lets go!! lol
Gotta love this kids spirit, and he keeps it real! Keep up the good work son
You should make Scout his own bushcraft dog bowl
Joe, I'm a new fan. Just found you in past few weeks, but I'm hooked now, and the wife and kids are starting to watch as well. We also love the outdoors of Ontario in many of the same areas of your videos. I am also a Fan of IPA's and craft beers. Tonight is the third time I've seen you open the same beer I was drinking at the time. I'm enjoying a Nickel Brook Equilibrium as we speak. Please Try Pilsner Urquell from the Czec Republic. Its available at most LCBO locations in southern Ontario. I usually only drink Ontario Craft IPA's, but this is the exception, and has become one of my favorites.
Cheers!
Man, this video had me grinning ear to ear the whole time. Next mini-series could/should be beer reviews! for what its worth, i find overlapping the tarp by about a foot where it meets the shelter on this kinda setup removes the risk of a drip down the back of the neck! atb mate, great video, thanks for taking us with you!
Love your style, bloke. Camping in the bush is a lot of fun and you manage to put that across in your video's. Thanks mate
Teach Scout how to bring wood back to camp
Musill777 epic
Musill777 for real
His hips are bad.
You climbed that shelter almost as fast as your daughter would have. Like the adjustable fly/tarp idea as shelter for gear, firewood, and Scout. Possibly could be converted to a super shelter if the need occurred. Perfect size to get away from it all (friends). You have no spooky stories because you limit yourself to 2 beers. Cheers!
I believe what people think is something walking int the distance is actually a leaf that is hanging in the background and as he pans the camera gives it the effect its moving...
agreed
I concur
agree, its dead leaves, u can see him walk past them and go past
whats the timestamp?
Jim Bowling Go cats
man, you're amazing! I've always LOVED camping and the forest. now I really want to do bushcrafting too ^^
I love your videos bro it makes my day that bit better.
Just watched all 4 vids of your build. Had a great time watching. Always some good stuff to learn In your vids. Thanks Joe.
were is the video of the guy walking in the woods you mentioned.
sorry, I just posted it now.
JoeRobinetBushcraft thanx m8, looooove your vids, my fave youtuber ever lol.......
thanks, buddy :)
Not often I would watch all of a vid this long but really enjoyed every minute of this and your other stuff. Thanks alot mate.

Scout inspired me to adopt a dog at the spca yesterday. I'm in love.. thanks for the vids bro.
34:51 It sounds like a door opens!
That's terrifying
I work in a cubicle in a pretty big city and I love watching your videos on my lunch break! They make for an awesome escape from society without having to worry about ticks lol
7:44 "sleep out here when i needed to"
You mean when your wife kicks you out of the house XD
This is why a man should ALWAYS have his own place (house or bushcraft) even when married.
XD
haha yeah my thought was, IF I want to :D

Just recently found this channel. You're freaking awesome, Joe!
Have you ever thought of doing like a livestream at this camp that isn't too far away or is the internet like.. real bad there? I was thinking cause it'd be so fun to interact with you during a day/night camping. :)
Scout and sticks, relationship goals.
By the way... Scout wanted me to tell you that your complaining about his completely understandable selection of which stick is his is probably not going to have much bearing on his decision making process in the future.
Mine, thanks.
Joe I've learned so much, thank you!
Did you figure out which video had the figure walk by? I dont see a link for it.
Thanks Joe
nice vedio , nice that you bring your dog. I take my dog when ever a I can
Shelter needs to be deeper. thanks again Joe.
Quality content! Subbed for sure.
nice!
Please make more of these I love them!
Love the video. Thanks. Gotta ask though...how is that laying on some lumpy logs all night? Never mind. I see you have an air mattress. I'm 57 and that would still be kinda tough for me man.
That flashlight is amazing!
Sweetbutterflykripperino dumdass there backpacking pads you blow up with your mouth takes a minute not even amd they weigh next to nothing your dumdass do your research or don't speek at all
Right on ! @ 24:30 BEER ! To me that is a great part of camping, liquid refreshment !
I know what you mean with the friends... I live in Sudbury and nobody is down for real overnight adventures, everybody wants to bring there truck and camper and stay on the stinking trail
I love all of your videos. Please keep sharing your experiences, and keep going to different places!
That dog has an unhealthy relationship with sticks.
109 he's a German shepherd lol, they are very busy dogs. My female GSD will carry her ball for 10 miles and heaven forbid she loses it because she won't stop looking for it. If you want a laid back dog, don't get a GSD LOL.
Carrie Joe says it's a Belgian Malinois I made the same mistake a few years ago on a different video but very similar obviously so if we both made that mistake
Cody Gervais No he's not a Malinois, I am heavily involved in the dog world training in protection and I see A LOT of Malinois and that dog is not one. Possibly a GSD/Mal mix but not 100% Mal, there is definitely mostly GSD in there. Still a beautiful dog though. :)
Carrie
Please keep filming at this camp Joe whenever you visit it's very entertaining and we feel that we're out there with you buddy.
34:50 you can hear what sounds like a startled scream. Not sure what that could be. Maybe a bird?
Yeah that's a bird I reckon
i honestly startled me lol granted i have the volume up all the way but i think it was either a bird or a tree when the branches rub against each other and not like that
Ricky Wilcox it was 2 trees rubbing together; after being in the woods for a while you learn most "Scary" things just turn out to be something with a reasonable expination
Sounded like an elephant
Remember how he said he's next to a farm or something
Maybe it was kids playing around
I'm not even that big into doing these outdoor camping and stuff but I did love to use to make forts in the woods and these videos are awesome
Cut the sausage down the middle from the start and grill em flat...they don't roll and I like em better that way...more caramelization per square inch...love the end section after last beer. Your too much like me.
HunterNugent good tip
HunterNugent lose a bit of flavour though
HunterNugent great to split the sausages in a pan, but on a grill or bbq you will lose a lot of the juice/fat through the gaps resulting in a dryer sausage.
"good tip" yeah, that's what he said. He likes the end after the last beer.
HunterNugent sausage fest 😊
Hey Hero, Great series! Please keep them up. But I do also really enjoy you long trips with Doug and Shawn! Take care! Buz
