Hey what is your opinion about instant pot? I want to buy it. I am confused because I want to know is it easy to use or our regular pressure cooker is best?

The secret to making a good tasty upma is roasting the rava well and sautéing the veggies . In an attempt to make something in 1 minute, it is not a good idea to compromise the taste of dishes.
Rava I tried - not taken out till pressure release - totally it not came out good - but i failed to dry roast rava much, did 1 min only - though in my mini insta - not got result - any other method pl
Here’s what I did in the video: 1 minute pressure cooking & after that I did quick pressure release. Looks like you did a natural pressure release that’ll further cook the rava & make it mushy & it will stick to the inner pot as well. Dry roasting is not required. Try quick pressure release & will turn out good 👍
When you say cook on high there is also 3 little white selections above the plus and minus this is automatically on med does this need to be on high aswell? I'm new to the instant pot and not having much look. I've tried a few different ways to do rice and I still need to find right measurements and setting its either too dry or too sticky. I made salsbury steak in there last night I might it with lamb instead of beef cooked fir 18 mins but didn't seem like the inside was cooked properly it was mushy. I made it with beef mince last week and it was amaizing
For pressure cooking, only the pressure and time have to be set, I always go with high pressure. Temperature has to be set only for Saute mode- usually I go with medium or normal temperature. Pressure cooking rice: for 1 cup rice 1 1/4 cups water should be added for soft rice. Time is different for white & brown rice. Couldn't agree now, however this is an easy breezy way of making Upma when we want to whip up quickly :)
Could you saute the veggies in the instanpot then add the remainder of the ingredients and cook using the pressure method to improve the flavor?
@@hartsm76 Veggies can be sauteed & ensure the bottom of the pot doesn't turn brown- brown pot will result in Burn error.

Tried the semolina recipe. There was error because the semolina stuck and less water, added more water and still did not work?
For 1 cup semolina 1 1/2 cups water should work- hope you didn't saute the semolina, has to be pressure cooked without sauteing.
