How-to: Easy Rust Repair!

  • Hi! Thanks for tuning in for more time-saving rust repair techniques from the pros! Auto body is a real art, and this time, we'll examine the "Ancient Roman Aqueduct" method, using pre-cast structures to support a new door skin, cast in place and avoiding all that tiresome welding, etc...
Thanks again for all of your likes and comments, and especially to everyone who subscribed and continues to watch our channel here... We have a lot of fun making these vids and will continue if you'll watch 'em...
Please subscribe! Tell your friends! The more subs we get, the more vids we can make. I'll obviously be doing some more "actual" work soon here; but meanwhile... well... we have this.
All the best from me and Stella and the rest of the Agents that help out on this stuff just for the hell of it... Cheers!

Love it! When i was a kid around 1961 or so, a couple of guys rolled a badly rusted '57 Ford convertible into the old blacksmith shop next door and proceeded to use a stack of newspaper, a roll of screen wire and two 5 gallon cans of bondo on it. They then resprayed it yellow and white and when they rolled it out it looked beautiful. I'm sure it stayed beautiful until the day the poor schmuck they sold it to ran it over a railroad crossing and watched it fall apart. Still, if it your own car I can see what an improvement that would be for a while. Love your videos keep up the good work.

Scott, you not only look just like him but your personality, creativity, sense of humor and overall cool factor are spot on for my good friend Gene Balbach. The 2 of you would have liked each other very much, I have no doubt. You even sound like him! The similarities are uncanny and in the beginning of me watching the channel I wondered why I was so taken by it. Now I know why. You are each other's doppelganger. He sadly passed in 2006 at 55 but his spirit and living a life of doing what you love lives on. He even wrote a song and played it on the guitar called. "Just Fuck It". Good stuff.

Seeing the thumbnail for this vid again it reminded of the monumental effort this project entailed... Then I realized that if that Dodge is ever in a parking lot, there is a BIG surprise waiting for the person that door dings that masterpiece! I'd LOVE to see their face...

Hell, the door "skin" might eject itself entirely if it was t-boned (hard enough) on the passenger door!

I have to admit the result looks half way decent.
Which makes looking into the desaster area underneath even funnier.
Just imagine you drive that thing into town and some nice old lady accidentally slightly hits that door with her oldsmobile - the fake door panel shatters and bares the zombie-like underworks. She'll die from the shock.

Great Video as always and well shot ,you should have a tv show....... I remember having a Fiat Strada ,First car built by robots, the bottoms of the doors had rusted to thin air so i filled the space with cavity wall foam, and used body filler over the top it worked great also you could pull the harden foam out after .. Thank you for posting...
