  • Sometimes a brand new bow from a couple years ago is the best starter bow. Done need the latest and the greatest to start getting reps. Start practicing with what you can afford is better than waiting ti practice until you can afford what you want.

    3 years ago I got my first bow. Edge 320. Three reasons why I got it, adjustability, price, and it was the only left handed bow in the store. I upgraded the sight, and went with a trophy ridge 5 pin. I haven’t had any problems with it. I’m comfortable and accurate shooting out to 55 yards. It’s a good bow for me. I 3-D shoot at the local archery range, I’ve been able to harvest three deer with it. I’m eventually going to get a new bow, but for now, this one has been great for me.

    Good review! I got this as my first compound last year so i could work up in draw weight. I shot recurve for a few years prior, but never went over 40lbs. The accessories I swapped out right away, the bow does get a bit better with a better stabilizer, sight and drop away rest. My biggest problem is tuning. The adjustable system on this hits an exponential growth after 56lbs, and I don't think the limbs are ever even unless It's all the way at 70. That being said, some limbsaver limb dampeners quiet this bow right up. I agree on the price,my local shop sold me this for $425, and to give it credit, it was the smoothest shooting of the ones in this price range that I tried.

    I'll always be a just for fun paper shooter on my property but really enjoyed the review. Bought one of these a few years ago and really enjoy it, got one for my daughter and then got her a much more pricey Bowtech as she does hunt now. My BF enjoys shooting it time to time although he is extremely good on much more expensive equipment. I think it is great for a first bow or someone casual like me. I think I paid close to 500 for it, not bad at all.

    I'm a big fan of diamond bows. For my first bow that wasn't 20 years old I bought a diamond outlaw. I also own a bowtech prodigy and diamond deploy sb. I'm looking at this diamond for my nephews first bow. He has been hunting with a crossbow for 5 years now. We want to get him into shooting a compound bow hopefully for next season. I don't think you can beat the bows from diamond for the price and quality. This video was very helpful with differences in these bows. From even higher end diamonds that I have experience with.

    Just bought this bow before watching your video. First time ever owning a bow so I’m excited to try it out. Really appreciate the in depth review. 👍

    Great reviews! Keep it up! I am looking to buy a new bow this year and your reviews are very helpful for that! I don't know if you take suggestions or not, but could you do a Mathews Phase 4 29 vs Prime Revex 32 review? Really curious to see how the noise, draw cycles, and vibration compare between the two!

    Hi Backyard Bows, I saw your review of the Diamond Edge xt and also this review for the Edge 320. Because you changed the speed test method it isnt so easy for me as a beginner to compare them. Is the xt noticably slower in direct comparison to the 320? According to the specs the 320 should be 20fps faster. Thanks!

    • @BackyardBows
      @BackyardBows  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As you bump the arrow weight up the ibo difference in fps will lesson a hair, but they were almost the same fps with a 500 grain arrow, only difference is we were shooting the xt at 29.5 in draw and the edge at 30 in draw, hard to say one is 20 fps faster if it’s only when using a 350 grain arrow

    Man people have been recommending this to me over the Topoint Trigon... but even if I just went off your reviews it seems like the Trigon is better build quality with no plastic and you didn't mention any dramas

    Hate to be that guy but the 320s are garbage. Picked up one 2 months ago from the outlet store took it to two different bow shops around Springfield, they both said that they’ve seen lots of cam problems with them. We couldn’t get mine tuned even with shimming the cam and using a different cable guide also after shimming the string would pop on the bottom cam. I ended up taking it back and getting the provider and got a little buck with it two days ago. Gonna save and upgrade this summer but gonna keep the provider as a back up (really wish Parker was still around)

    Do u know what happens if the string misses the stopper??? Absolutely nothing.how do u think bows were used before string stoppers ? Or are u so young an ignorant u didn't know bows came with no stoppers. still do

      I know there mostly used to suppress noise and vibration , but at 30 inch and 70lbs I don’t like it to miss, thanks for the comment poonhandler 😂
