    The band has talked about the major personal issues they had with each other over the years. It’s alway creative differences and for the most part not personal. Though I can see how such arguments can lead to personal issues. At the same time they also talk about how much they love each other; not just like but love. I’ve always thought that it was the relationship they had with each other that made them hesitate actually breaking up entirely. Sure there have been threats of “I’m leaving” at the end of t he say it’s hollow words. So them “being cool” with each other is not an act. Also, they k ow that if one person leaves that is the end of Rammstein. I suggest you watch and react to The Making of Haifisch. A song basically about their bond. Plus it is a great music video too. Thank you. Enjoy! :)

    • @xsezz
      @xsezz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yeah, I would also add the fact that they've been together for so many years now. That strengthens the bond. They're like a married couple at this point. ;) I also agree that if one of them leaves, the others probably won't continue. In a way that's possibly why some of them have solo projects. They can still pursue what they wish for without leaving the band. At the suggestion of other commenters I'm leaving Haifisch for one of the last videos as it has references to some of their songs, but I will get to it! Thank you for watching.

    I really didn't know that there was so much improvisation going on in their videos. I'm amazed at how artistic and creative in expressing their ideas and emotions they are. I think some of the guys could've been decent actors.
    PS. And the TV series you were talking about was Mindhunter.

    Again a great reaction. You really have the talent to be entertaining even with such long videos.
    Since 2006 there is a law against cannibalism in Germany because of this criminal case.
    As I read Armin Meiwes is now a vegetarian.

      @xsezz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you for the kind words, I really appreciate it. Vegetarian, eh? I guess he had enough "meat" for one lifetime. Also, is just me or is it kind of weird that there was no law against cannibalism before 2006? ;) It was probably just overlooked, as nobody expects that in today's day and age.

    Awesome that you kept your word and explore more Rammstein. Love it ! Since in this one you really got to see the dark side of Rammstein and how they dedicate themselves to their art i recommend the video and making of to "Rosenrot". What they endured there is something few people would ever do, let alone for the purpose of art itself.
    Also, i think you really hit the nail on the head with your comments of "defiling an angel". In the lyrics before the breakdown it says:
    "A scream will beam to heaven, cutting through flocks of angels, feather-flesh falls from the sky, onto my childhood, while shrieking "
    And then the bridge with the screaming and brutal guitars really shows what must have been going on inside him while he was doing all these things. Eating a man alive is such a violation of humanity, i can't even begin to understand how that must feel. If you listen to some of the interview Meiwes has given he talks about progressively everything got out of hand and how bad he felt, but he kept going. This shows that Till really dived deep into the subject matter. The cornerstone of Meiwes life was laid in his childhood, and in order to understand why he did what he did you have explore that. And i feel like the imagery that Till uses in his lyrics really manages to ask the right questions without being on the nose about it.
    I am not a religious person at all, but the image of a sin so heavy that it cuts through the purest being imaginable, with the remnants raining down on what made this man who he was is just so powerful to me.
    And that part of the video where they all fight in the mud always make me think that this is what hell would be. Absolute torment and chaos. Such a powerful song.

    • @xsezz
      @xsezz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I will get to Rosenrot soon enough, as it is heavily requested.
      I read what you wrote about your lyrics and I'm glad I nailed it. As you said, especially the part where he can't stop himself from going on with the evil act. I believe the video did a good job expressing that. It also appears a lot of these issues start at childhood and are eventually exteriorized as an adult. This is a very large subject to explore, LoL! Thank you for watching!

    Great video, love these reactions! And btw, did you recognice "Frau Schneider" and the leashes from the Bück dich live video? ;D
    They have struggled a lot over the years, especially since they're so many, and having grown up in the GDR they have a similar mind set, with everyone being equal. With six persons, that's very hard. They're great friends socially, and probably on tour as well, but when it comes to creating the music, that's when it gets difficult. They work pretty hard to make it work though, since nobody feels anyone is "replacable". A loss of a member would be the end of "Rammstein". They work it out mainly through therapy, and they've all said that working on their latest album from 2019 was easier and nicer than expected, and they had so many song ideas that they're spending the time they should have been touring to record new songs. So yay, soon we'll get even more Rammstein songs!
    Next making of videos:
    Sonne is pretty funny
    Mein Land too :D
    Rosenrot aswell!
    Ausländer - filmed in Cape Town, South Africa - really interesting! (here's a link to a good live version: th-cam.com/video/DXm55W4yZPY/w-d-xo.html )
    Amerika. Really interesting social commentary
    Looking forward to the next one!

    I enjoyed this very much. Thank you again. I know that for a long time now they also don't push each other to work. They meet up every 6 months and see as a band what ideas they've got then take another 6 months working on little things and bringing them to the next time they meet up. They also just let each other have time off. They're rolling in money so if someone says they're not feeling musically up to it at that time they let each other breathe. They do it as a hobby rather than a job which helped in keeping them together. Everyone also got upset at Till because he filmed a music video on his own without the guys and everyone got upset at him because it wasn't a united effort. The song was called "Mutter". It's on their youtube with a making of where they discuss the issue. It also has a beautiful live performance in Paris. For the music video for "Ohne Dich" there are hints of them not being a complete unit but coming together at the end. Thank you for the video Xsezz!

      No they didn't get upset at Till for filming a music video without them. It had to be filmed only by him because no one else wanted to participate after all the problems during the making of The Mutter album. They knew that it had to be made, and debated it as there were mixed feelings but in the end decided that he should do it alone as everyone else was on vacation or didn't want to participate. He did nothing without their permission and Indeed didn't want to do it alone.

East germany was a worker state. everybody had and had to work. so rammstein was grown in a environment were the toipic work was such a big deal. so for them this band is not a project or their life. its a job! and the work that they do has to be done as best as possible.

      Good question. I always knew to differentiate between an artist's persona on stage and their real life. Before watching these videos, I also read from the comments that they are pretty chill in real life and I figured as much. These videos only confirmed that. However, with that said, Paul sounds super excited and seems to have a lot of fun in these videos. ;) Also, in general, watching the "making of" videos it does feel like you're "closer" to the group than just by watching their shows.
