This American is just 28 years old. She has a genetic disorder called ectodermal dysplasia, from which she suffers from the day she was born. This rare genetic condition prevents teeth, nails, pores, cartilage and bones from developing. Despite being stigmatized all her life by her appearance, she decided that her illness was not going to limit her and four years ago she raised as a model.
Aaaah, I see. Thank you for the information. She became a model? Good. I even mentioned it on the video to become a model, no idea she went for it. Good for her in embracing her differences and making a living out of it.
I do really fully agree to your first statements at the beginning of your video about listening to a song again and again and again. Explore the song, suck it in, get the lyrics and the meaning of it. In the 'good' old (young) days as a highschool student i could afford to buy just one LP record at a time and therefore i usually listened to it for days and weeks. It was a very intense relation with the music and with each repeat i could detect more details. Later , when i earned my own money i bought 3, 4, 5 LPs at a time and i very soon noticed that my relationship to the music got more superficial. Unfortunately today i have access to any music available on the planet on my fingertips through Spotify, other streaming services and TH-cam. Quite nice, but i regret it in a weird way. Very nice and thoughtful reaction. I loved it
Thank you for your comment. I agree. It's like this with everything really. Once you have everything on hand it starts to lose it's "value". It's interesting that we appreciate more in scarcity. I have a similar example with video games. When I was a kid, my parents used to buy me maybe one or two video games a year and I'd play them non-stop, top to bottom, inside out. I knew every corner of those games. Now? I have hundreds of games on Steam... Literally, half of them, I buy them and I don't even install them, keeping them there to play "eventually", it's crazy.
