Driving a 2016 Clubman S while my 2014 Cooper S HardTop is being services! I think it is more refined and premium. It has some get up and go, it has a lot of room and makes you fill like your a MINI Athlete! It gives you a since of refinement but step on the gas and the turbo and torque reminds you what your diving. Now... the lights (On the center dash), they have been dialed down a bit in brightness of color. I guess people have complained but in the 2014 cooper you can control how bright you want the center dash light to be so I think it was useless to dial down the light because I loved seeing the colors at night from outside or inside of the car. FYI, If you set the center dash color on just a slid color you then need to press and hold the toggle switch up top to engaged MULTI COLORs that change randomly within seconds. I love this because I NEVER CAN PICK JUST ON COLOR.. So the car will changed multiple colors within seconds and this has nothing to do with how fast slow you drive as well as if you change the radio or a/c! HOWEVER NICE... I LOVEEEE MY Cooper S Hard Top!
I test drove exact model and engine on Wednesday. First and foremost the seats were great. Didn't notice any hard ride sessions and I suffer with arthritis in all my joint. And I loved it. Auto was so smooth. Very quiet on the move. Only minor fault was no tiny rear wipers on rear doors. So hope designers hv got that right. Oh great review by the way..
I had a fully kitted Clubman SD for a day and it was really good. I'll have this over a 3 series bmw any day.
+powerslideita Does the SD exhaust has a similar sound like the Cooper S? cracks and burbs? there are no reviews of the SD on the internet.
I put it into sport mode and didn't hear any exhaust pops. It doesn't sound at all like my mini hatch cooper S, it sounds exactly like any other bmw diesel in my opinion.

Its a great alternative to those stupid jackedup hatchbacks like The Renault Captur and Peugeot 2008 which is so 2008 in terms of styling and concept.
I’ve just ordered a Signature S...from the factory.... so yes! I indeed see myself in this great car!!! Three too six waiting list...although; I’ve been informed by my dealer; the car; is due on the line this month!!!April 2021!

I had one of these in copper s as a courtesy car I didn't want to give it back was so nippy the only time you felt it was bigger was when it came to parking it

Very good review. I'm considering the Clubman JCW.
I am from Miami, FL. and I just bought one. It does feel really like a flagship luxury car in a small package. It is very comfortable and less juvenile than a VW, yet a lot more value than the CLA and the A3 that is sold here in the U.S. We also do not get the diesel version in the US and there is not such thing as a Mini One in any version of the Mini.
I love car keys...always first on my playlist to check for new uploads. Only thing I've noticed is that you seem to be avoiding images of the boot on you recent reviews...is this intentional?

I'm happy with my Clubman Soho edition 2010. I'd never buy any of these new, full blown muffin models.
