Another awesome custom! I finally got my hands on this figure a couple of days ago and decided to modify the neck and height and it was a nightmare! The neck was pretty simple but I ended up having to remove the whole suit and lengthen the pants as they kept pulling out of the boot which was stressful!😂 Thankfully it worked out ok in the end! Thanks for the tutorial video as it definitely helped!
Hey Dave! Thanks very much! I'm so glad the video helped-- it sounds like you had your own EXPERIENCE with trying to make this figure look right, lol. I was worried about the pants issue, too. Thankfully I didn't run into that, but I could absolutely see the potential for it. I'm going to help a friend with modifying his soon, and we'll see if the second time's the charm, lol.

amazing work! you took that sculpt to another level! i was really hoping you’d customize the unmasked sculpt as well, as i think that one could definitely look incredible with some work.
Thank you! Yeah I think so too. I just knew I was never going to display it, and I have the muff toys unmasked head, so I’ll just use that if I ever feel the need. But the same techniques I used on the masked head would be what I’d use on the unmasked version.
Oh nice!! I have them as well and have been meaning to do this to them. I used a loose Bill Murray head to make Phil Conners from Groundhog Day, and I repainted that one and it looked so much better after.
Don't know why anyone would skip to the end to just view the finish piece, like you say. The process in these videos is always so engaging and satisfying to watch- though less so for you, I'm sure! Hope the finger injury's better now too.

You did a wonderful job. Thanks for showing us how you did everything. I've been waiting to order until some reviews came out, and although he isn't perfect he's definitely the best 1/12 The Batman figure IMO. Leagues ahead of Mafex and SHF.
Thank you! I appreciate you checking out the video. Yeah, I think despite the issues it has, the soft goods and detailing are incredibly impressive at this scale. Just leave the legs alone! lol
Another great custom video. Dude, thanks for sharing this process. I do have that figure on pre-order and have debated cancelling a few times, due to my excitement dying down after the long wait as well as the mixed reviews. I think I'll go ahead and let it go through. As for customizing, I'll make my final decision when I get him, but I may try the hot glue neck adjustment. I might be okay with the collar, but I do have two McFarlane figures... I could always use the collar from the one with the plastic cape. Paint touch-ups are always on the table for me. I feel like those are the easiest way to bring a figure with potential to life.
Thanks, bro! Yeah, I feel like you’d do really well on this one and would have fun doing it. Someone on IG showed me that they used the boots from the McFarlane figure to fix the height issue, and I cannot believe I didn’t think of that, lol. It was sitting right there! So if you have 2, the collar and the boots would set yours up really nicely.
Even though the Batman movie is pretty low on my list of favorite Batman movies just above the dark knight trilogy you customs are always an inspiration! And as much as I'm not a fan of armored Batman I'm actually looking forward to the new fondjoy version to replace the McFarlane next to my rc batinsonmobile!
Thank you very much! Haha, yeah that’s the kicker: I didn’t really like this movie very much either 😂 That Fondjoy version looks really good, and I think it’ll look killer next to this Batmobile for sure.
Need head, longer neck, I mean. I can live with the short legs, either that or I spoil the whole damn thing like I did my first Mezco Punisher 😢 (broke the wrist peg and the rest is history). It was and is still a favorite and in safe hands with a friend, someone who fixed it completely! You got some awesome stuff going up there. Keep walking...
Thanks very much! I ended up helping a friend with his Batman and I found that the proportions were better on his- I think in part because his belt was more loose and could be raised up higher to make the legs look longer. Glad your punisher got patched up!
Going to have to do all of this twice, since I want an unmasked and masked on display.. I'll use a random body for the wingsuit diorama set I made. Great stuff. Agree with you, these heads, specislly the normal one, is the best option so far!
Haha I had wondered how many you were going to get! I need to do that with the wingsuit, too. It’s too cool of an accessory not to display somehow. Looking forward to seeing your setup, my friend!
@@Ibrahim_MGreat custom ! Mezco is amazing at making soft good figures but they almost always fail at making good proportions and often the figure doesn't correspond to the character of the show or movie... That's why in terms of Pattinson Batman figure l prefer the Mafex version.
@@Poupipoupi-bw2bl Thank you! YEah Mafex definitely seems to have gotten it right. If I wasn't so into soft goods that would likely be my preferred version
dude this video is a gem. I've been debating on what to do about the neck for a few days and your solution is perfect. I also loved hearing you go over the paint theory and techniques. keep it up please! and i understand how you feel about the figure/mezco. i personally just stay away from their comic-related things because they're ALL pretty dicey in my opinion, but the proportion and build choices on this thing keep it from being a real home-run unfortunately.
Thanks so much dude, I really appreciate that! I know a lot of people skip that stuff so I’m very happy to hear that you value that stuff 🙏🏼 it would be much much easier to just not do it, lol.
I got these head /neck adapters was thinking maybe if I sand them down to the size of those grey peg things , what’s under the boots and take that peg out ..glue that adapter to it n add the peg into that might work for some height .. basically like adding a extra of those grey pieces that the peg is into and the boot hides .. and hopefully without having to go all surgical ha .. does that peg at the Bottom come out ? Still waiting on mine, just shipped from bbts so don’t got it infront of me ..
The peg at the bottom of the leg for the boots to pop onto? It’ll pop right out with a little bit of heat from a blow dryer applied to it first. Adding to the bottom is smart. I shoulda thought of that 😂
Yeah that’s the peg that goes into the boot.. okay I figured it will .. just wanted to ask .. ya it’s those neck / adapters some companies add into the head to connect to the neck peg.. ha well let’s hope n see .. if I ever get it in my hands .. bbts takes forever .. but awesome video man! Well done
@@Ibrahim_M yeah sometimes it’s a bad thing, but sometimes it’s a good thing. Like when Mesco releases things back to back to back back back back. Kills ur wallet . Where bbts u get some time spread it out .. but sucks waiting too ha so 👋
Amazing work.. the stumpy thing i think from the way you had the figure in the beginning was the belt was sitting low.. you can see the seam from the pants and upper body. Pushing that up helps the proportion immensly.. the collar would prob be my biggest complaint tho.
Thanks! I actually tried moving the belt first-- I recorded a whole bit about it and how tight the thigh straps are and they keep pulling the belt back down, but the video was so long already that I cut that part out, because in the end, it looked a little better but didn't correct the problem fully like I wanted.
I just did this what a custom too, I didn’t sign up for this to be so involved lol, I paid for it to be great already 😂 just come to me good so I don’t have to do all this, gotta love this hobby lol
Also, I’ve been saying it for a min, mezco needs to update they’re bodies at this point, they’ve been in the game too long for their figs to be stumpy and ill proportioned, it sucks especially when then fig costs 120!?
1000%. They really seem like a “this is the way we’ve ALWAYS done it” kind of company. They definitely make some great improvements and innovations, but for every one of those we get like 10 confounding bodies that don’t look right.
Thanks! It’s the Mattel 1:10 scale RC version, and then I painted some weathering on it. I have a video review of it up on the channel if you want to see it in more detail, and another video where I paint it to add the mud and whatnot. It’s a really great car!
Your in dept made me think twice of getting the figure. And i ak in between shf and mezco so i might go shf. Cause i’m not that really of a fan with his batman version, but the film was amazing
dope job as always👍🏾👌🏾…i’m probably only gonna replicated the double sided tape on the cape as far as the figure goes😂 but the batmobile i’m gonna really put some work in like you did with the weathering
Thank you, sir! Yeah I swear by the double-sided tape for making all kinds of soft goods fit correctly. Even just that will help a lot. And I have a video a little ways back on the channel where I show how I did the weathering on that Batmobile’s you want a reference of some kind. Have fun, man!
Ah thank you! That’s a good question- I use some that came with a window insulation kit, so I don’t know off hand what a good version is to recommend, but the smaller and stickier the better, haha.
Great tutorial video! I definitely wanna try repainting the heads once I get all the supplies, kinda nervous because I’m not good at skin tones. I’ll be doing the collar mod this week but wanna get a better cape but there’s none that I’m aware of & the Muff cape is too short. I also wanna try the neck enlargement but hot glue can be messy lol. As for the height mod, I’m gonna experiment to find an easier solution since I have lots of fodder figure. Thanks again for this video bro, it was very informative & I wish I was talented like you😅
Thank you, man! Y'know what? I saw someone on IG used the McFarlane boots on this to fix the height and I was like "Oh man I can't believe I didn't think of that". Still probably a little challenging, but way easier than what I did, lol. Practice the technique from this on a spare head and I think you'll nail it! It's easier than it looks!
@@Ibrahim_M Interesting, I thought about that but I hate the toe joints on McFarlane figures & idk if you noticed, the McFarlane feet are actually smaller than Mezco.
I have seen that! So far it looks really impressive. Their Batfleck was probably the most accurate in any scale. I’m looking forward to more from them.
@@ruisequeira8817 Thanks man! No, I only use the Angelus on fabric, typically. For this one I used Vallejo paints (amzn.to/4c3EsdJ) because they have a slight sheen to them that looked good for this. But really any craft store acrylic paint will do it.
It's not something I plan to do-- I enjoy those games, but I'm not attached to them enough to know what the figure would need to look better. Also I never bought the figure and it's probably really expensive on the aftermarket now.
The peg hole isn't big enough, so you have to drill it out (which is why I didn't put it on because I didn't want to destroy the hole in case I sell the head). I also think it's a little bit big for the Mezco figure. Especially if the neck and legs aren't fixed
@@Ibrahim_M I feel like that rc batmobile is a forgotten/unknown gem... although mine was defective right out of the box but since I mostly got it for a display it still wasn't a bad purchase for 75 bucks!
Wow man, $75 is a steal! It really is forgotten/under-appreciated. When other companies are charging a ton of money for cars in this scale, this one was $100 AND an RC (when it works!). I drove mine briefly once and it’s been on the display ever since 😂
Yeah, you have to remove the chest armor piece. It kind of plugs into the body. I think it’s glued in. I didn’t try removing it but I’ve seen that other people have. The cape is tucked/glued in under there
I agree 100% on Mezco, they are definitely hit or miss and the main issue is the base bodies they use. That most recent comic Superman was my eye opener, it was so badly proportioned and stumpy. I found myself tinkering with it over and over trying to like it, until I just started buying 3rd party Supes and customizing my own. Recently, I picked up the Psertoys version which from the neck down was really good, and I now use a neck peck from an aliexpress MezKO fig and the actual Mezco Superman heads (Because those were great) on it and that is my best soft goods Superman now. So you got those disappointments, but then they absolutely knock it out of the park with the TMNT release...sigh... They giveth and they taketh away...
You're absolutely right-- I got that Superman and it's been sitting in the tin since it arrived because I decided I would probably just use it for parts. To your point, they're incredibly inconsistent-- those TMNT are probably-figures-of-the-year material, and then within a few months we get this li'l stumpy guy, lol. I gotta look up the Psertoys version-- sounds like you found the perfect balance!
the struggle is real! I too, have really slowed down my Mezco collecting. Thankfully they dont have anything I'd want upcoming for the rest of the year aside from maybe that Popeye reissue. That Indiana Jones they have upcoming will likely be another "fail" from what I'm hearing.
Yeah I only have Indiana Jones, the villain to go with him (but I just want the suit from that one anyway), and the Power Rangers left on PO with them, and then I don't see myself PO-in from them anymore. Hopefully Indy is easy to fix, lol.
FUCKING PERFECT! I'm scared to even try the legs, scared to try the paint too! I painted the shoulders lol I'm trying to fix the collar and neck but once I do that then the legs will bug me too T...T thanks for tutorial. Where do you get your brushes?
Thank you, dude!!! I'm glad it was helpful! I'm thinking it might be possible to just fill the bottom of the boot-sleeve pieces with hot glue for a bit of added height, and then just pop the ankle pegs up into the glue (basically how I did the neck). I'm helping a friend with his and I'm gonna try that and see if it works. Here's a link to the tiny eye brushes: amzn.to/4d18rnY The others that I use are just a cheap craft store multipack!
Thank you! Somebody told me that they swapped the boots with the one from the McFarlane figure to make third taller, so if you want to mess with the height I would recommend trying that!
REALLY?! I learn new things everyday. Since a kid, I knew Hot Toys was among the top when it came to these but Inart is better? Hot Toys but on roids?! Cool. I can still barely afford McFarlane 😂
Haha yeah InArt is really amazing, but they're very new, so they only have like 4-6 figures out so far. Hot Toys are still incredible, though. But they're all very expensive!
All that stuff you did with the collar you really didn’t have to do that. All I did was take the cape off than the collar, put the cape back on with the collar on top of it. Gives the same effect and less work.
The whole point of the project was to make the figure look more accurate. Doing what you’re describing works, but is not accurate to how he looked in the movie, which is why I didn’t do it that way.
What a cool figure and as always your touch makes it better, the leg problem woukd have been my doom on the figure but you resolved it like a pro, love the paint job I learn so much when you do that, and I always like the little diorama tour of your shelves, have a good one my friend and keep your head on swivel!!!!

"How do you do that when your whole business is making tiny human people?" hahaha Well sorry you had to go through all that. Sure does look better now! Maybe after some time has passed the extra struggles will turn in to a fun story and it'll make you not as resentful. Maybe.

Thank you broseph!!
Great work! Way to push through 😂
Thank you, my dude!
@@Mizthegr8 this person used the mezco feet, but the leg part of the McFarlane boots.
@@Ibrahim_MInteresting🤔
Aye have you seen the fondjoy one? First official pics are out and it looks p great overall. Very interested in it.
Don't really love the head though, would be interested in seeing if it can be modified, or just needs to be replaced
I have seen that! So far it looks really impressive. Their Batfleck was probably the most accurate in any scale. I’m looking forward to more from them.
worth it
Thanks, Sebastian!
Amazing.
Thanks, man! Miss you, dude!
@@Ibrahim_M same buddy. Let’s catch up soon.
What tint did you use to paint the shoulder parts? Thank you!
No problem! Just plain black and then grey for the small parts-- nothing special!
@@Ibrahim_M thanks! Looks awesome. Did you use the Angelus Acrylic Leather Paint for that?
@@ruisequeira8817 Thanks man! No, I only use the Angelus on fabric, typically. For this one I used Vallejo paints (amzn.to/4c3EsdJ) because they have a slight sheen to them that looked good for this. But really any craft store acrylic paint will do it.
Can you customize the Batman Arkham Knight prestige suit Batman?
It's not something I plan to do-- I enjoy those games, but I'm not attached to them enough to know what the figure would need to look better. Also I never bought the figure and it's probably really expensive on the aftermarket now.
@@Ibrahim_M Nah not the prestige edition or the ones from the other games
How does muff toys sculpt goes with mezco
The peg hole isn't big enough, so you have to drill it out (which is why I didn't put it on because I didn't want to destroy the hole in case I sell the head). I also think it's a little bit big for the Mezco figure. Especially if the neck and legs aren't fixed
Where did you get that Batmobile?
The Batman 1:10 Scale RC Batmobile Figure Comparison & Overview
th-cam.com/video/14yctPsFK1Y/w-d-xo.html
@@Ibrahim_M thank you 🤙🏻
@@yosoyasap you bet!
I drove mine briefly once and it’s been on the display ever since 😂
Is their a way to change the cape?
Yeah, you have to remove the chest armor piece. It kind of plugs into the body. I think it’s glued in. I didn’t try removing it but I’ve seen that other people have. The cape is tucked/glued in under there
@@Ibrahim_M what’s a good custom cape to get for this Batman?
I don’t know- I like the one that’s on it do I didn’t look for an alternative. But if you search Batman cape on eBay I bet you’ll find something good.
Hello would you do this as a commission custom ? Would you accept payment over PayPal ???
Sorry, I don't do commissions, but I appreciate you asking!
look at that little guy! lol
😂😂 they really squished him!
What batmobile is that

Here's a link to the tiny eye brushes: amzn.to/4d18rnY
The others that I use are just a cheap craft store multipack!
proportions are the dealbreaker for me tho ultimately
That’s totally reasonable!
@@Ibrahim_M its tough cause it would fit in with my other mezco's because they're all kinda stumpy but i cant swing it
@@TheRandomrandom97 haha yeah they do have a general stumpiness problem somtimes
I think the figure is trash as it comes out of the box. BUT!, I love what you did, now I'm thinking on buying it and customizing it too.
But they're all very expensive!
if you ever make a Batman v Ninja turtles figure you'll integrate the turtles to the Bat zone
Haha possibly!
Thank you so much, Carlos! It always makes me really happy to know that these are informative. Hopefully I can get a full tour uploaded soon! Thanks as always, my friend!
You or anyone shouldn't have done this for a $125 figure, just to make the figure looks right
Absolutely!
"How do you do that when your whole business is making tiny human people?" hahaha
Well sorry you had to go through all that. Sure does look better now! Maybe after some time has passed the extra struggles will turn in to a fun story and it'll make you not as resentful. Maybe.
😂😂😂 thank you very much! Honestly it’s already something I enjoy now. A lot of people have reached out to say how helpful they found this, so I’m very grateful that it’s turned into a net positive 🙏🏼🙌🏼
Do you wanna have another headache and do that to mine? $100 or so lol.
😂😂 I barely even want to look at mine right now
@@Ibrahim_M idk if I should sell it or not because the McFarlane one and Mafex are just proportioned better. I need to watch your McFarlane video to see if I can mod a few things.
There’s one coming out from FondJoy that looks really good, too. I believe it’s McFarlane scale.
It's not a successful custom until you "bleed" for it. lol.
LOL, VERY TRUE. Blood, sweat, tears, etc! Haha
Jesus man blue tac would have worked just fine VS hot glue 😬
No. Hot glue provides structure and rigidity. Blue tac is just sticky. Big difference.
DUDE!! Mind blown wow. Gonna give this a go! Thanks for sharing. Are you on Instagram?
Thanks so much, man! And you're welcome! I am, indeed! instagram.com/ibrahim_m_art/
Can't wait to tackle the legs on this one. 🫡 Fantastic job btw! 👏
Thank you very much!
