Yeah, I think those are all very valid criticisms. Something I have to work hard to remember when I review a figure is that, as a customizer, if I don't like something on a figure, I just change it. But not everyone does that, haha. Ideally these things are perfect out of the box and require no work. I knew I'd be doing either a head swap or a repaint to make it more "realistic" as soon as I saw this go up for order online, because the gap between the realism of the soft-goods and the cartoonish look of the heads is pretty wide. I think that goes to your point about them missing the mark a bit. I will say, I think I would have been a lot more critical of it if it weren't such an incredible price. IDK how they made any money on this, lol. Thanks for your POV, dude!

@Ibrahim_M absolutely. Again, I definitely get the appeal. It's not at all terrible, it just isn't really what I'm lookin for in a Rick Sanchez figure. But, like you said, great price and for what it is, it's not a bad deal for the right collector. I too customize, so I complete get what you're sayin about that too! Thanks for making content. It's a 1:10 RC, but IDK who makes it. I got it used off of eBay 6 or 7 years ago, and it didn't have any identifying branding on it. Been trying to track more down ever since, lol

I’m glad he was what you’re looking for!! I forgot to do a size comparison in the video, lol. But he’s made with a copy of the mezco Vapor body, so he’s mezco scaled. The head/hair are taller than a normal mezco by about a CM. So he’s taller than a marvel legend or Hasbro GI Joe, and at least a half inch shorter than a McFarlane DC figure, for reference. Yeah, I personally wasn't impressed with the Samurai Jack or the Batman TAS Mezco tease. It's all subjective of course (lots of people will love them), but that's why I got the more realistic head to paint for this (I re-painted that Woody figure from this company as well). I think they need that extra nudge toward realism to make it all work. When I paint the head I bought I'll probably repaint 1 or 2 of these cartoony ones with real skin tone as well. I love that creepy/real cartoon look, lol.

I'm glad! I don't review everything I get, but I thought people would probably be curious about this one, and IDK how many other people were going to post one so I figured it'd be worth it. My theory on the gloves is that they copied them from a Mezco figure, (which is not a good thing, of course) and that figure specifically is kind of a blend of cartoony/realistic, so it fit the vibe better than one of the non-gloved, realistic sets of hands out there.

They’re ikea Vittsjo shelves, and I enclosed them with custom-cut plexiglass that I attached magnets to. They’re great shelves and you can fit a lot on them.

I’m not planning on getting the B&R version because I just don’t have an attachment to it, but I am curious to see what could be improved on it- it might be the most accurate one that McFarlane releases since there’s no roof and it’s already a one-seater. I will be building a tumbler next!

Right, my point is that it *shouldn't* be perfectly symmetrical because people aren't symmetrical. The eyes being too far apart is a separate issue. But it's still a great figure.

Excellent! You can always start small with one for a single figure; one of your favorites. Then you're taking a smaller bite and getting a feel for it. That's how I got myself going on them. Have fun!

Yeah, I think that DC Direct head is probably the best we've seen to date from a company doing a Ross likeness! But even then it's a bit too tall/skinny, haha.

Belt loops all around would help a lot- the belt stays in place very well, so what you saw was me trying to line it up with the top of the trunks for accuracy, and since the trunks are so short 😅.
