It’s probably on purpose that the app doesn’t permit direct calculations with results. Otherwise it would be mathematically incorrect. If you write sqrt(5/2) = 1.581 and then you want to divide the result by 2, it’s *wrong* to just divide the right side by 2 and write sqrt(5/2) = 1.581/2 = because sqrt(5/2) doesn’t equal 1.581/2. Instead you should change the left side to sqrt(5/2)/2 = and have the calculator recalculate the value on the right side. Or just write a separate calculation on a new line: 1.581/2 =
The Math Notes feature was the most exciting thing to me in the latest announcements. I'm sad it has so many bugs or limitations. But I think I can still leverage it in creative ways.
Just a thought about the thing you tried with x and y. Could it be because the equation is between, heightwise on the screen? I mean, that "X = 5" was below "y+x =". Since the later example seemed to work fine when the values for N and X were above the equation. 👀 Just a thought!
"You" are the "y" in the equation. Y= 6/3, so basically YOU type 6/3= . But I guess it gets complicated sometimes with complex variable Like {(12-y/2)/(22+6)}/3.6 = 24.... solving for the Y= gets tricky for us older people.
this is the iPad M4, so only the pencil pro with this.. but on older devices you are able to use the pencil 2 or the normal usb-c pencil, even in some cases the original pencil:D
Your battery percentage is giving me anxiety 😢
Me too.. i was filming all day, this was the last video, thanks to god the iPad survived😂
@@joeritter thanks to god
Innit
😅😂🤣

i think they will continue to imporve it in the coming years. in 5 years, it will be even more complex!

Well, the delete button is new. You’ve been able to delete Numbers the whole time. The Calculator app has been on the iPhone just swipe from the right
it’s true:)
i did not know that was a thing
This is super limited, it can’t handle the most basic algebra. Like if I try 3y=6 it tells me it’s a syntax error!? How can we make it solve for y?
Just wait till the official ipados 18 complete update

Omg, powerful device but need to wait until version 18 to have a calculator…. Until now I still need to use third party app calculator in IPad…
This is soo cool is there a way to download this app on Android or an app similar to it on Android
I am sure there is something. Maybe try my script calculator 2 !
@@joeritter ok thanks
I think it didn't take the number above 5 as it thought you scratched the above ones at 4
Do I need to make a back-up?
Mine keeps converting it to typing and doesn’t do shit, and the convert is missing 😂
bro please charge this dude☹️
😂 i knew it would last:))) iPads have great battery:)
6:20 Can I go with minus?
which apple pencil will work?

With the latest update will it be embedded in the ipad already?
yes. it is coming with iOS 18 in sometime this september.
do you need the internet to use this math notes feature?
no
So now apple wants us to calculate how much money we have wasted on ipad?😂
😂
Will ipad 9 gen get this features?
I’m curious about this as well
No
According to Apple, iPad 9th gen will get this version of the iPadOS! So all is good:)
@@joeritter mine doesnt have the app?
@@AverageLizardMan and that means you aren't running the 18 beta.
How did you get it
Apple developer beta programme
@@elijaheverything9644 ok thanks
Yes, this is a developer Beta, there will be a public beta coming soon, in July if you want to try it out:)
How can I get it on my iPhone
it will come in iOS 81 in september, or you can download the public beta in July .
@@joeritterYep, iOS 81 😅
