Just little FYI, Jin was just teased on their twitter for the next upcoming character. I for one would like to see Hazama added because Ouroboros flying across levels sounds fun.
*"THEY MADE A VISUAL NOVEL JUST ABOUT ES"* Uhhh... other way around, chief. They brought Es over from said visual novel over to the main games. But Entropy Effect (and it's mobile predecessor, Revolution Reburning) comes off to me as BB's answer to Guilty Gear Judgement & Dust Strikers, perhaps even a hybrid of the two.
I'd like to note, before the update that released Es into the game (yes, she was added post-release in a free update), entropy ONLY gave negative debuffs, which NEVER expired. The positive bonus was added because there wasn't any reason not to lower your entropy at one point besides a few skills on the mind training that give credits based on your entropy level.
Actually there was a reason, that is from the shop you got ability which gave you in-game currency for carrying higher entropy which let you have more level ups. But I do still prefer new system, it is more fun to interact with. Also Es was not added post-release in a new update, as the game is in Early Access and not officially released by technicality - they are still working on it

Sounds promising, I hope the devs are able to stick with it. Closest I can think of are Dead Cells and Hades, but those are quite simplistic in comparison, at least in term of combat.
honestly guilty gear had no right to get the chance to be revive, it was just because its arcsys' favorite child, blazblue at least was consistently lucrative, enough anyway also, while they both are similar games, since BB is essentially an iteration of GG, they tured to be very distinct games in the end, so i dont see the "we dont know what to do with bb" as a valid excuse, thats nintendo talk, and i dont take the BB creator leaving as an excuse as well, its not like he made the world and games by himself, taking this game as it is, i will say they just dont care and until i see a new blazblue and not a Blazblue STRIVE i will not change my mind
This video just told me "This is not Blazblue" when I came here to know If it worth it or not for someone that is interested in the series after trying one of the main game series.
I think the game is really fun actually. The way moves of characters are incorporated as well feels creative and amount of playstyles is impressive depending on what Potentials you get and what Level Up skills you get and the further you go the more you unlock. It is a damn good roguelite, even as an Open Beta and Developers first venture into the genre (if I am correct) with great amount of polish, style and uniqueness. What it takes from Blazblue it uses well and project can stand on its own legs. And let's not forget that one series of "Blazblue" is literally visual novels that have almost nothing to do with main series as well until certain plot points are revealed, which possibly will be the case for Full game release as well - we do not know yet, as again, it is an Open Beta.
Yeah as of now it definitely feels like blazblue is in it’s guilty gear overature phase, and I’m not sure how long it’s gunna stay like this. Blazblue centralfiction was a perfect end to the series. Tying up all the stories loose ends and having an amazing conclusion. In an ideal world it should’ve ended there. There’s no point in the IP ending up as just background assets in a random rougelike.
I love blazblue as a series. I would not have bought, played, and enjoyed entropy effect if it wasnt titled as a blazblue game. I loved this shit, wish they do it again for a different genre, because theres no way in hell we get another blazblue fighting game.
Something that drives me kinda nuts about this game is the desktop icon. *It's literally just a mugshot of Naoto!* Yet, as of the time I'm typing this, he's seen nowhere in the game. The same was true for Jin, who showed up in the trailers before eventually being added. I still have hope for him
as someone who played the Calamity Trigger and Continuum shift competitively, I think I might actually like Entropy Effect even more than the fighting games. Of course it's a totally different game with a story that has 0 connection to the original games, but the feel of the combat is very reminiscent of the fighting games. It's really fun getting to play the BlazBlue characters in this context, too, unlocking increasingly more elaborate combinations as you progress in the game. The story feels kind of irrelevant and like just tacked on fluff to make the game a little more interesting but I really like the Japanese voice acting so it's cool (especially the giant robot, IO). It would have preferred if they made the story at least have some connection to the BlazBlue story, and I wish Rachel was a playable character, but other than that it's an amazing game for less than $20.
I don't think that the major changes is bad for any series, not only bb or gg, but man, rogue like? Without bb characters and Blazblue in the title it is just ordinary game, this game is not Blazblue that I love BBtag really did that better bruh
I've never liked how the bosses have a very VERY basic boss theme, hell, the final boss has a regular boss theme. Arakune has a regular boss theme. The new original characters have regular boss themes. Can't wait for modding to save yet another game.
I tried to play this game back when it released and kept getting trapped in a room where you choose between two "challenges", it was so frustrating that I just quit and refunded the game.
Umm, I'd suggest checking out Spiritfall, Astral Ascent (my absolute favorite), Oblivion Override, Roboquest which is a really fun Borderlands-like FPS roguelite, and Wizard Of legend.
I know this might be wishful thinking but I do hope after Guilty Gear Strive finishes with a final DLC pack, I would love to see a crossover game with both Blazblue and Guilty Gear. Can be a way to somewhat revive Blazblue but also guide the future of the series though it has to happen after Guilty Gear Strive finishes, not during it's run.

I think you call something like this a doujin, a fan game, that may or may not contain much from original. Anyway, the game is fun, though, I wish there was SHT, (Susanoo, Hazama, Terumi) Naoto and Kagura as playables. I also was really surprised that they added Hibiki, but not Jin. Like litteraly, Hibiki is some guy that playable in CF, and here's Jin, the cause of Ragna's hand becoming Black Beast, Hakumen host, Jin's also almost the second MC, and yet, we got some Hibiki. (And yes, I know that Jin is in cast now, he wasn't there before)
I agree with the video that BlazBlue entropy Effect is a BlazBlue in name ONLY, which is precisely why I decided to NOT buy and support this product, since what I come to expect from a BlazBlue game is a fighting game that is a 2D airdasher with tons of defensive and offensive mechanics, with unique mechanics given to each individual character, with the cherry on top being a multi layered story spread across multiple time lines with most of the cast getting a moment to shine and develop. And Since Entropy Effect WASN'T that I left it alone. As in buying said product would signal developers that stuff like this is what BlazBlue fans want, which ISN'T the case for MANY. The only ways I can think of creator of BB being Mori getting to work on a new BlazBlue title are in these scenarios: 1) Arc System Works outsources a new BlazBlue Project for Mori's studio to work on. 2) Mori buys the rights to BlazBlue, similar to how Disney bought the rights to Star Wars. I personally don't think option 2 is currently the case based on Mori's response, which only leaves option 1. Which if he is currently working on a new BlazBlue title do to outsourcing, it has me worried, since the mobile BlazBlue game was Mori's idea, and it sold poorly, and do to that fact, Arc System Works t may not give Mori as much creative freedom with the series as he had before, which DOESN'T sit well with me. Since That's like Konami outsourcing the MGS series to Kojima, but gave him restrictions on what type of genre the new MGS title should be, as well as the story that should be told. That doesn't sound good to me at all. If your going to give the creator of the series the opportunity to continue his vision for a series he made popular, let the man tell his story. Personally, I would like updates to BBCF instead of a new title, since we know the product is good. In regards to updated story content I would like an continuation after BBCFs ending, since quite a few characters did not get proper closure ( ex: Litchi, Tao, and Nu 13). In terms of updated content to the game, I would like a replay feature where you can take control during your online matches, like how it works in GGAC+R, since it saves a player time in having to learn another character, or set up your struggling with, and I'm really shocked that feature didn't make it into to the BBCF online update. In terms of game play, a slight balance update is all that is needed, since a lot of pro players agree that majority of the cast is at least tournament viable ( obviously to varying degrees), and I would only nerf the borderline broken characters ( Izanami, and Arakune) and even nerf the other top tiers like( Rachel and Nine). And buff the bottoms ones ( like Noel and Terumi) and leave every one else alone. Since Arc System Works doesn't have the best history when it comes to balance according to the player community. Just my two cents.
if you really like the Omegascape's big rooms, i implore you to check out Dead Cells. its another 2d rougelike with fast, snappy combat and a lot of skill-based gameplay. From what i can see, the omegascape looks like a near copy paste of what that entire game is, but entropy effect seems to do it way less in-depth and awesome.
Is like dead cells but with less content, i hope they add a lot of characters, because Rogue lite are repetitive and adding new perks or weapons is the way to make every run unique, in dead cells there like a lot of ways to arrive the final stage, more than a hundred weapons and their legendary versión... If they are going to be less characters they should do like Hades and make a lot of perks that are gonna affect not only your dps or if u burn... they have yo change how hour Gameplay is going to be, if a perk is better for a specific movement u are gonna use more that. Idk if explained I think i explained well but im not a good english speaker and my keyboard sometimes change some words😂
They made the game easier with patches, yes. The game was very hard before the patches. But calm down dude, the game is early access and they already confirmed 2 free dlcs characters for this year (Taokaka and Jin) and more characters for next year. This game has a lot to grow yet and devs are taking good care of it tbh. The story is not the best but it isn't finished yet. Just give time for the game!
This game made me go from not knowing a single thing about Blazblue to having a list of characters I want added. Where's Bullet? So not being Blazblue enough is probably for the best. So you don't have people getting very very confused.

also, while they both are similar games, since BB is essentially an iteration of GG, they tured to be very distinct games in the end, so i dont see the "we dont know what to do with bb" as a valid excuse, thats nintendo talk, and i dont take the BB creator leaving as an excuse as well, its not like he made the world and games by himself, taking this game as it is, i will say they just dont care and until i see a new blazblue and not a Blazblue STRIVE i will not change my mind
Blazblue has spins offs that aren’t fighting games we had Blazblue dark war before this came out but it was in Japan only.
i think hibiki is just one of the most popular characters
This video just told me "This is not Blazblue" when I came here to know If it worth it or not for someone that is interested in the series after trying one of the main game series.
before watching: idk it's a fun game imo
I don't know about that hibiki bit tbh, he is literally top 3 in popularity, people love this Levi Ackerman bootleg mf, and i am people
Yeah as of now it definitely feels like blazblue is in it’s guilty gear overature phase, and I’m not sure how long it’s gunna stay like this.
I still have hope for him
4:53 the power ups use the Crest of the source character?
Neat
Gekko, there won't be anymore mainline Blazblue, the guy who made the game left ArcSys
as someone who played the Calamity Trigger and Continuum shift competitively, I think I might actually like Entropy Effect even more than the fighting games.
Without bb characters and Blazblue in the title it is just ordinary game, this game is not Blazblue that I love
BBtag really did that better bruh
put some respect on my man hibikis name
Some points aged like milk, hope to see follow up video.
I hope in the future they make it so that there is a endless mode so there is a chance to get every potential
I've never liked how the bosses have a very VERY basic boss theme, hell, the final boss has a regular boss theme. Arakune has a regular boss theme. The new original characters have regular boss themes. Can't wait for modding to save yet another game.
ENTROPY EFFECT VIDEO? NO FUCKING WAY
I tried to play this game back when it released and kept getting trapped in a room where you choose between two "challenges", it was so frustrating that I just quit and refunded the game.
If more of the game was like the Omega Zone, it would be a straight rip of Dead Cells
without the blazblue name this game would be any other generic rogue lite you can find on steam
5:39 ZANKE NI SHOSU **nanaya intesnifies**
classic es being an airtight character in every game
For the love of Susan please let Susanoo be playable
I love my boy hibiki dont do this to me pls
Just like in Cross tag battle, No Taokaka? No buy!
Well I got some good news for you
@@ethanliao2769 please, enlight me!
Umm, I'd suggest checking out Spiritfall, Astral Ascent (my absolute favorite), Oblivion Override, Roboquest which is a really fun Borderlands-like FPS roguelite, and Wizard Of legend.
Something I would like to add Kokonoe air is broken when you add sparks to it and I used that to air camp the final boss with tele dash and other bs
Dont diss Hibiki! He Is one of the most popular!
Huh, didn't know Dead Cells did a collab with BlazBlue
Great vid but I really wanna know what songs you use in the background cause they sound great
looks super cool and fun
I know this might be wishful thinking but I do hope after Guilty Gear Strive finishes with a final DLC pack, I would love to see a crossover game with both Blazblue and Guilty Gear. Can be a way to somewhat revive Blazblue but also guide the future of the series though it has to happen after Guilty Gear Strive finishes, not during it's run.
Blue Gear BLAZING
@@Ramsey276one Azure Gear, Guilty Grimoire… BLAZING! That’s all the crossover names I got that isn’t just Blazblue X Guilty Gear or Guilty Gear X Blazblue

Keeping entropy effects permanent and allowing less buffs would balance the game a lot more
when Jubei confirm for the game I'll buy it or it'll finnish
Guilty Gear Strive: Guilty Gear In Name Only
People said the same thing about Street Fighter 3rd Strike
2:40 cmon man hibiki fans need all the attention we can get, he deserves this more than es does at least
True
He's probably upset that some almost npc guy made in game earlier than second mc.
(And yes, I know that Jin is in cast now, he wasn't there before)
wdym jin is not in the game? he is rigth there with the name hakumen
Only Ragna and Hakumen? Disappointing, given how many cool dudes are in Blazblue.
TAGER MENTIONED!!! TAGER MAINS STAY WINNING!!!!!!!!!
The only ways I can think of creator of BB being Mori getting to work on a new BlazBlue title are in these scenarios:
1) Arc System Works outsources a new BlazBlue Project for Mori's studio to work on.
What is this game? Can I still slowly stomp towards enemies and throw their ass with science?
Nope, there's no Terumi...
But there's a FREAKING HIBIKI.
Idk if explained
I think i explained well but im not a good english speaker and my keyboard sometimes change some words😂
Jin is now playable, what do you think about him?
They made the game easier with patches, yes. The game was very hard before the patches. But calm down dude, the game is early access and they already confirmed 2 free dlcs characters for this year (Taokaka and Jin) and more characters for next year. This game has a lot to grow yet and devs are taking good care of it tbh. The story is not the best but it isn't finished yet. Just give time for the game!
Free dlc for an early access title 🙃
@@KarmaSpaz12and? It's just a convoluted way of saying "new character"
@@D.Ku_03what happened to the word update
@ayopeep I mean, if we're arguing semantics, Dlc just means downloadable content. A update that is downloaded is a technically DLC.

This game made me go from not knowing a single thing about Blazblue to having a list of characters I want added. Where's Bullet? So not being Blazblue enough is probably for the best. So you don't have people getting very very confused.
2:09 Hakuman is Jin...kinda.
timelines bullshit.

Yeah, it seems like a decent game, just not like a blazBlue game.
