Fun fact: there was a version of the ‘filled your dark soul with LIII~iii~IIIGHT!!!’ *without* the voice crack, but apparently the directors thought the crack version was more emotional….
The reason the mission 20 fight is very easy in dmc5 on lower difficulties is because the game constantly regenerates your DT gauge and to allow for busters, Vergil will kinda just stand there and let you hit him after comboing him a few times. In lore this is because Vergil is both tired from the fight with Dante and not wanting to fight his own son, combined with Nero being incredibly *MOTIVATED* to stop his newfound family from killing each other.
One thing I liked is how you noticed how a lot of bosses "reminded you of Nelo Angelo" when its all but confirmed that he was Vergil (Under the control pf Mundus) and any similar fights are either because they used Nelo as a "Baseline" (Proto Angelos in 5, and the Angel Soldiers in 4), or because Vergil and Dante cause that much of a ripple in the storyline That and fights that are like PvP are cool af
Another note on Nero DT: While it doesn't have Poise in 4 (pretty sure it does in 5), it DOES cancel whatever animation you're doing on activation while also giving you some iFrames. Whereas Dante's doesn't interrupt whatever he was doing at the time of activation. This can be used to do things like invul through the start of that big AoE attack Agnus does before using well-timed Table Hoppers to dodge through the rest of it.
DMC4 Nero's DT does stagger/launch enemies up in the air upon activation just like neutral DT in 5. It's actually the best/quickest way to create an opening for buster on elite enemies like Frost and Angelos. While also help stun bosses faster than other moves. It also stop bosses' charge/grab attacks as well.
Dmc 3 is hard, but it always feels really fair and less demanding than 1. If you have the switch version you can play in free sryle mode and play as LORE ACCURATE DANTE and are able to switch between all 4 styles and every gun and devil arm you currently have. Swordmaster is how you unlock Dante's coolest moves and decimate every enemy's health dignity. Gunslinger lets you eviscerate foes with stylish ranged options. Trickster opens Dante's third eye and dark Souls dodging skills as well as unlocks the ability to quote fist of the north star by teleporting ABOVE your enemies at level 3 and shouting "Death from above". Then while I would say Royal Guard bends every enemy over and nsfw's them, the style revolves around TAKING hits by perfectly blocking them to TAKE 0 DAMAGE and save the pain for your enemies with a release. Royal Release is just same day shipping for that pain. Quicksilver is Dante quoting JoJo's for shits and giggles. Doppelganger lets you spit roast everything with your wide array of devils arms. By locking yourself into a move with a long animation and summoning Doppel to do something on another button you can obliterate whole rooms. Try using Kalina Ann's hysterics then switch to Doppel and have 'im rock out on neavan with her only non-swordmaster crazy combo and you have a killer room nuke. Also you can CHARGE Dante's activation of Devil Trigger by holding the button to EXPLODE ON RELEASE. THIS IS YOUR STRONGEST ATTACK AND KILLING 3 TO 4 FODDER DEMONS WITH IT YOU GET AN INSTANT SSS RANK. I've been playing this game lately. The final two sections of your comment are about to become useful. I'm trying to unlock the super characters and is playing on DMD mode.
@@LegendaryDarkKnight602 D.T.E. is a mandatory skill for the higher difficulties. Bizzarely enough you should never be in Devil Trigger for longer than you need to be so you can conserve meter to get full charge for another blast. Mission 12 is unironically harder than almost every other mission because you can't explode or use quicksilver and doppelganger in D.T.
@@Arcana_zero_studios I didn't find mission 12 that bad, the parts I struggled most with were the chess board, Arkham, and the first room of mission 4 where you first encounter the enigmas, and anytime the spiders showed up
As far as we know, Capcom developed DMC 2 almost right after DMC 1 to capitalize on the success. But they didn't even re-engage the DMC 1 dev team, didn't give the new team any references from the old game, the dev team was inexperienced with 3d games (the team came from the Arcade department of Capcom) and I think the unknown main dev didn't even like the Resident Evil-esque vision of DMC 1. I believe that only the Stinger animation was done around the time the unknown main dev left. Then comes the goat Hideaki Itsuno, and the rest is history.
If you plan on replaying DMC3 in the future, an effective way to deal with the fish spawns in the Arkham boss fight is to use Kalina Ann, it will make quick work of their formations.
Hearing this guy beat vergil with strategy in dmc3 got me tweaking. I always beat vergil by trying to damage him out of his DT, which if you didn't know, if you do more damage than he had before DT, his DT will cancel and go back to base. it makes the fight so much better because this is usually only possible using DT, which means you kind of DT clash against him like in the dmc5 vergil M20 fight. Instant cool points.
Meanwhile, Vergil just casually having a weakness to being kicked in the face most of the times he's a boss fight. Surprisingly, it even works in DMC5.
This video made me realize i beat DMC1 on all difficulties (except DMD) when i was 5/6 years old... and DMC3 all difficulties as an 8 year old, i am pretty sure i'm not the only one because gaming was such a big thing in the early 2000's with especially bragging with your friends and then they come over to see you whip some combos, and it all works out in the end.
DMC5 is my game of the decade for the 2010's by a wide margin, but my main criticism of it is that Son of Sparda should have been the default difficulty. The difficulty of DMC1 and DMC3 is partially what made those games so addictive back in the day.
I still got my ass kicked on some mission of the first playthrough of DMC 5 in Devil Hunter. And I am still getting it even more kicked now in sons of sparda. I recently did DMC 3 cerberus thinking I'd kick its ass. I beat it after 5 try, but that was because it did a forward dash attack, which I didn't dodge during phase 1. But it took so long to walk back that I was able to make it go 10% before it got to phase 2. It felt cheap. Anyway, i'm a sucker for Hard games as I challenge runs elden ring and Sekiro. (And not trivial ones. Stuff like +0 and rl1, 1AP, deathless... ) Anyway, I think dmc 5 maybe should have had Sons of Sparda available for players of the franchise, Devil Hunter for complete newbs to the series (and action game in general lol) but still want a challenge and Human for those who are just that bad.
agree but I wouldn't think making it a default difficulty is a good idea, but make it one of the starting choice would be great. One big problem with DMC series that ended up with reboot is due to how niche it is. Back when playing DMC3, I couldn't even beat first mini boss for countless attempt, doing that now with a more casual market will result losing in market share despite those players might like the game. Make it easier early on but harder later hit just the right spot to bring more casual players into this amazing genre
@@leesasuki Sheesh even when I was casual and didn't know anything about styling with combos, but still I was good enough to complete normal mode and hard mode in my first playthrough
it's a toss up between monster hunter world and dmc 5 for me, ironically both capcom games. i got my ass kicked so much on DMD and HAH in dmc5 but whenever that happened i just returned to play as vergil for a bit and become MOTIVATED
If you weren't aware. Dmc2 is two disks. The second disk you play as the female character. That's why it ended that way. You have to beat it with both.
Playing DMC 3 not on the Switch, or on pc with the style switch mod is a literal disservice to how absolutely incredible the game is with that one change implemented
Try making this list again once you beat all these games on the hardest difficulty of each game. I can promise it’ll be a very drastic experience than playing these games on normal difficulty.
For the next video, play on Dante Must Die (Hardest Difficulty) for every game and see: 1. Which is the hardest game in this mode. 2. How much more difficult it is compared to the same game’s normal mode Great video!!
DMC3 on DMD was one of best challenging experiences I've ever had. Not until i decided to S rank the whole damn thing 💀 (Garrion was the last straw, made me pull my hair out and quit for awhile)
My friend had DMC3 dante's awakening the non special edition and he brought it over to try, i played up to mission 7 in hard mode until gave up... in hard mode. The hard was unforgiving as dmd, then special edition came to tone down the difficulty. I would never try dmd on the original dante's awakening
In DMC3 you actually kinda want to be aggressive when Vergil is in DT, since when he is hit in DT his time spent in DT is reduced, making him regen much less.
Though a fun thing, apparently it was only the US non-SE version that had the swapped difficulties. The JP DMC3 normal mode is equivalent to the DMC3SE normal mode.
yeah ngl dmc 1 would be pretty low on death count if you knew how to play going in, hell, theres literally an achievement for finishing the game using NO yellow orbs. I thought that wouldve been hard but tbh it wasnt really at all
Yeah I figure if I went back and played through them all again on a harder difficulty. DMC1 might drop a slot or two but thought it best I tested them as a newer player. If only I could wipe my memory each time I started a new game
@@Bruh-bk6yo Nope. 1 and 3 both got hit by increased difficulty in the NTSC versions. though 3's makes you start on hard. 1 just changes stats slightly so that Dante does less damage and recharges DT slower
It’s so interesting to see the perspective of a noob. I wonder how the list would look if he started with a different game. Or course this can apply to any since you are a stranger only once. Tbh I’m surprised he even made a “deaths” video. I don’t remember death playing these outside the obvious Hell and Hell/DMD attempts. Modes made for players who are familiar since they take a long time to unlock. In my experience DMC1 has to be the hardest one, easily. It’s the game people give up on since Yellow orbs are checkpoints loading… and if you’re even more of a noob you could run out and now would repeat THE ENTIRE CHAPTER. Also it was cool to hear insane opinions. Like DMC DMC Vergil>>>>every boss from D1 to D4. Text doesn’t have emotion, but hearing that made me… HAPPY! I love unique takes. Even if it turns into an NPC opinion of “DMC3 Vergil/DMC5 Cavalry Angelo” after more exploration. Final thanks, thank you for not mentioning the use of guides. It’s weird how so many people in videos are turning games into school tests.
DmC Vergil is such a fantastic boss fight. When the game came out I used to just replay that mission flawlessly over and over because of how fun and perfectly designed and balanced it is.
20:25 that’s because you didn’t play the second campaign as Lucia. Ngl it’s just as ass and doesn’t add a ton, but it does add in a bit of extra content and the ending implies that Dante may have came back out of hell and back to his shop
The amount of green orb crystals decreases with the difficulty options in DMC 5, so you'll find less to none in Dante must die difficulty than say devil hunter
Old games don't want you to figure it out while you play. They give you that option. They came with a game manual that explained all the mechanics you needed to know if you didn't want to figure it out
Plus they drop you in an open and relatively safe space in order to test out and experiment with the controls. There is also a menu option to view said controls.
27:13 Oh yeah, when I was a kid I played the heck out of DMC3 and my younger self agrees, that is the worst mission. I've done it enough that I've got it pretty down pat at this point but it's still a pain.
@hurricane7727 its not acfuslly harder, you just start on a high difficulty by default, thats why SE has Hard and Very Hard, the hard mode was the base games Normal
@@neloverg3774 I have both devil may cry 3 games. Regular Dmc 3 Normal Mode is Much harder( Even Takes more damage) than Dmc3 Special Edition(I have ntsc Version of Base Devil May Cry 3. @hurricane7727 Regular DMC3 shipped with Normal mode being the JP Hard. SE Normal is JP Normal with hard being the base game Normal and Very Hard being base game hard. I don't remember if it was a mistake.
Summonded swords, Vergil's half of the perfect amulet, literally taking off his helmet to reveal that he is Vergil in the third fight, Nelo Angelo is absolutely the funny motivated meme man.
Dmc1, I'm biased because HAVE YOU TRIED GETTING A SPECIAL BONUS ON STAGE 1 NORMAL DIFFICULTY FROM A FRESH SAVE!?!? In case you haven't, you need to beat the stage with 0 damage and 400 red orbs in under 6 minutes. There aren't enough orbs or secret caches to get by without killing enemies and you need to do so [STYLISH]-ly. And I mean you need to get lucky with enemy spawns to have red marionettes spawn because they're the tankiest and drop the most orbs, as well as get an S rank to get the most orbs. You lose your ranking in 2 seconds of not hitting something and with only 3 combos, high times, helm splitter and your guns which don't maintain style, that's harder than ANY OTHER DMC. You also can't get any new moves because they're locked behind Alastor in mission 2 with your devil trigger and the shotgun. I also forgot that you have to reset from a fresh save file EVERY TIME you fail and get hit, take too long or don't gather enough orbs.
To be fair the order in which you play the games matters a bit. I assume if DMC 4 was your first DMC you would struggle more. Still, the order here is I think pretty solid, DMC 3 and 1 are far harder than the others. Also Angelo Credo is one of my favourite boss in the franchise, but really reveals himself on harder difficulties. His final phase is so good! As a final point, to this day I only managed to beat DMD DMC3 Vergil on mission 20 once. While I can beat him pretty consistently in DMC5 or in very hard in DMC3. He's SO hard. But the fight is so epic. My favourite boss in the franchise.
Playing as Nero and V in Dante must die mode wasn't hard for me to the point I got S Rank, the real difficulty is playing As Dante.. the King Cerberus boss destroyed me 💀
With Dante you can beat the game without using any weapons and get a trophy for it. Nero can also beat Urizen in the first battle ending the game a gaining a trophy "As God Intended."
@@MrMuk94 It's only because he always caught me off guard with Ice element and lighting element especially when he switched between them every few minutes, but the Fire element is easy.. it's basically Royal Guard practice because it's only melee attacks no projectiles
Loving your content man. Could you perhaps at some do a ranking every Armored core from easiest to hardest. I'm just asking because I'm a massive Armored core fan
DMC Peak of Combat 2.0 (Mobile game) is the hardest game of the series, not only because the game is hard to play without buying gems and upgrading your characters (Each of them hold only one weapon) but also because it's so hard to endure that they scrapped the Initial 1.0 Combat which allowed your characters to use multiple weapons.
I hope you play through on higher difficulties! These games really shine when you upgrade and learn how to play stylishly! Nothing beats taking down fierce foes with the full arsenal at your disposal 😈
reason why mission 20 in dmc 5 was "easier" is because the very first time you play through it as nero your devil trigger meter will constantly be rising. subsequent replays it'll work how it normally does
i found a lot of success just watching combo vids and the games ended up making sense to me also in dmc5 you can take advantage of the void and try out combos outside of missions which really helped me when i started playing as vergil
DMC2's development really is one of the greatest mysteries in gaming. Was there actually a director that wasn't credited, or were they really director-less for a major part of the dev time? I guess we'll never know. Banger video, very scientific like all the hardest series
There was an original director, who was replaced with Itsuno in the final few months of development. Who that person was is not public knowledge, as the credits only list Itsuno the only director, and no statements by Capcom or interviews have mentioned anyone else by name.
If anybody died in that game it's on high difficulty against either Bolverk with his distracting wolves or Argosax for Dante. Probably Arius Argosax for Lucia.
Despising DMC 2's difficulty equals the same rant on DMC 3 DMD as "hOw CaN yOu DiE oN dMd If EnEmIeS aRe WeAk" from the guy who only played Easy/Normal. Though, if you TRY to play DMC 2 on DMD as DMC, you will find yourself in more trouble than you can think about. Sure, regular arenas are just annoying by the waves of enemies and, mostly, the tedious stun system (yes, the one you see in DMC 3, 4, 5 is inherited from DMC 2), but bosses, hoo... aside Chopper, Jokatgulm, Oranguewhatthehellisthisname, Moth, Trismagia, Arius, the rest bosses are actually... fun. Seriously. Bosses require you to adapt and here's why: 1. Infested Tank/Chopper - the game hints you to hit the eye, by showing it in the first place, hitting the eye boosts the damage by 3-4 times. 2. Nefasturris (forgot the name, just a building) - kick jump, flying heart flex and climb on his head, ice & chrono heart to slow him down. 3. Furiataurus - unironically teaches you to dodge by punishing both aggressive (rushing in blind with a sword) and passive (standing far away and mashing shoot button) styles of playing. 4. Bolverk - my man is having a huge sword and Nelo Angelo's fighting style, basically, the first exam on how you dodge and adapt, either choice of hearts will work, but recommended to use a quick one for mobility. 5. Pluton- (that one guy with big balls made out of steel, really) - same principle as Bolverk, but slower and more focused on not leaving in the same place. 6. Phantom - worse version of DMC 1 boss, nothing to say. 7. Argosax - well... 8. The Despair Embodied - again, WITHOUT hesitation, I have to say, one of the best bosses in DMC, if IT had been added in either 3, 4 or 5, IT would have become the hardest boss, and that's not even a joke, as it may look like. Blud literally transforms the "mashy mashy gun shooter" into DMC even on Normal difficulty, being the first, if not the second, the third... the over 10+th death for all people going through DMC for the first time, even with 3, 4, 5 experience. This (wo)man will ignore your chrono heart like nothing, IT has 2 styles (man - fast and woman - with delay) of attacking and you have to actually pay attention to ITS body before IT teleports, has projectiles, has "acid rain" prototype, performs combos, shoots fireballs, on DMD IT'S not standing in place, always in motion, making you feel really dizzy. I must say, after beating IT, Vergil 3 will look more comfortable to play against, sure, you will die again, but at least your vestibular system will be fine.
can this be counted as complete if only half of dmc2 was played? I doubt it would change the placement but some of Lucia's bosses are at least more enjoyable than the Dante disc bosses (the helicopter)
When i played DmC on the 360 my ass got thoroughly whooped i had died around 100+ on my normal mode. When i switched to the ps4 version i did alot better with half the deaths
You can beat Urzein in the Prologue your not supposed to your Supposed to Lose but if you do Beat him you can ByePass the Rest of the game and Beat it Early
DMC Peak of Combat 2.0 (Mobile game) is the hardest game of the series, not only because the game is hard to play without buying gems but also because it's so hard to endure that they scrapped the Initial 1.0 Combat.
One thing I always loved about the series is how the game expects you to tactically use your super mode (Devil Trigger). Most action games are very sparse with the amount of energy they give for your super mode, as it's supposed to be used in a pinch. If you follow this principle in DMC, you'll get your arse kicked when going for those S-Ranks. DMC 1: The main strategy is the game is to find: 1. The enemies weak point/attack they are weak against and 2. Find a way to fill up the DT gauge and rip into your enemies. DMD is basically impossible to complete with abusing the hell out of your DT at every opportunity. DMC 3: Increase the stylish rank, weaken the enemies, increase your DT gauge and then, when you can hit the enemies the best, that is when you trigger DT explosion. That is how you have to play DMD, otherwise you never get more than a B-Rank. DMC 4: For Nero, you can use the DT as a defensive tool, as its activation nets you a short amount of I-frames and it's great for crowd control due to its stun capacities. And for Dante it is essential for mobility and high level gameplay and combos to master your DT (Guard Flying!!). And obviously the healing capabilities. DMC 5: V is unplayable without DT in DMD or HaH due to his pets dying and DT reviving them and keeping them alive, so getting DT as much as possible is a must. Dante can use the energy to go SDT and wipe out entire rooms in seconds. For Nero, you get to grab two enemies at once, improving CC and damage output.
On top of your point about DMC3's DMD, that game gives you Super Dante by completing Very Hard, which means you could use Super Dante to go ham with DT in DMD mode with no consequences (By that I mean the game doesn't penalize your score for using it) (That is if you're an actually SANE person! & not one of those chest hair addicts who absolutely must make the game as difficult as they possibly can to prove that they're all hardcore & manly as if it's a badge of honor)
V has infinite dodge using shadow and griffin's has long i-frames. And despite being able to attack from a distance, he's meant to fight mid range so the pets can position themselves near the enemy. You can still bully a proto angelo with V just like with the other characters.
DMC2 suffered from having an incompetent team doing it then giving it to the old team to try and salvage it. I think the old team had like 4 months to make it playable
The main reason that people hate DmC x2 is the tone. It takes itself super seriously and wants to be mature and For Adults™️ while actually being embarrassingly edgy and shallow The regular series’ goofy and fun tone ends up looking sincere in comparison
DMC 3 special edition was the first time i ever gave the games a chance bc i was like 16-17 with my mom at a thrift shop and it was one of like 4 games for ps2 the place had and was 5 bucks. I died, A LOT. I legit was soft locked at mission 3 bc i just could NOT kill that damn cerberus so i gave up on it. Then a little while later i had graduated from high school, i was living on campus at college, and i had alot of free time to kill and had played all my other games to death, so i decided hey i have high speed internet for the first time in my life, lemme look up some stuff for this game and once i realized i was legit playing on hard mode bc it was mislabeled , i was like ok, time to grind the first two missions for health upgrades and weapon upgrades for like two days straight lol. my first playthrough i think i legit had something like 150k red orbs by the time i fought agni and rudra bc i learned that ill need to repeat all the missions from the start 5-10 times in a row before moving onto the next one
Actually there's something about The New devil May cry entries and i mean dmc² dmc 4 and dmc5 Specially dmc 4 was made after The heavy backlash dmc 3 had about its difficulty, so they fixed after in the Gold edition, but after 3 Dmc 4 and dmc 5 were divided by 2 types of players, The novices, and the Veterans, and so they did the human mode, and the devil hunter, While for older players made the mode, son of sparda and Dante must die In the Gold edition of dmc3 They fixed the bug where the normal difficulty, and hard were actually the Dante must die, leaving only the easy difficulty as very easy indeed, this bug actually happened with the global version of the game , the American version to be direct, so as much as dmc 3 is difficult in general if you weren't playing the Gold version, then you were playing on the highest difficulty the whole game, still the game even in the Gold version is The hardest game in the franchise, but others like dmc 4 and 5 are also difficult if played between the same difficulty level as dmc 3, and I mean it when I say that dmc 5 in son of sparda or Dante must die, they need a skill level similar to 3, the The same cannot be said of dmc² and dmc 2 that even in their greatest difficulties are not a challenge due to the way they were built.
Easiest to Hardest DMC2 < DMC1 < DMC 5 < DMC 4 < DMC 3 Reasoning DMC2: Cheese DMC1: Easy to grasp DMC5: OP characters with large move sets and expanded mobility. Easier enemies DMC4: Predecessor with tougher enemies DMC3: Most difficult enemies in the series. Most difficult encounter arenas. Devil May Cry has always been great with difficulty. If I was to rank them from which I think are the most well balanced to the least it would be DMC1 > DMC3 = DMC5 > DMC4 > DMC2
So playing DMC games is trully fun in hard modes My favorite mode is Son of Sparda, followed by Hard mode and then Very Hard Mode, I suggest you try playing them again in the harder dificulties, but feel free to ignore Heaven or Hell and Hell or Hell dificulties, those are gimmick ones As for DMCV final boss fight, its more of a power trip on normal mode first time, version of cause you get to use a supped version of Nero with an infinitetly regenerating devil trigger, not really a final boss until the second time around
Video Idea: Which Ghosts N’ Goblins game is the hardest? (Would include Ghosts N’ Goblins, Ghouls N’ Ghosts, Super Ghouls N’ Ghosts, Ultimate Ghosts N’ Goblins, and Ghosts N’ Goblins Resurrection)
See, everyone likes to play as V at first. Then you start playing on higher difficulties...
Ah Waiting Simulator
Things get bad once you get to DMD, super armor and 1/2-shot kills on your familiars with every hit is agonizing, *especially* if you want an S rank
I only hate play as V in HAH mode full missions without getting hit for S rank but i mange and git my sweet platinum ❤❤
V can have all that shit on the battlefield and some enemies are still smart enough to target him.
Nah it's easy and fun to play as V.. I literally got S Rank on his missions, but he is not as fun as playing as Nero, Dante and Vergil
DMC2 is the only right answer, it physically hurts to go through that game.
It's the only game in the series where you can dose off during a boss battle and still wake up to a mission clear screen.
I'm new to the dmc games and i bought the hd collection on ps5 n played dmc 2 for 1h n istg i started crying cuz it was way too bad
@LegendaryDarkKnight602 I've beaten it...still can't tell you anything about it since I can't remember it lol
I recently played thru all 5 games for the 1st time and was like "it can't be that bad" then went onto 3 after about a hour of playing 2
The problem is while it hurts to play it's a literal joke, even on dmd it's like only problematic in the water.
That's it

The reason the mission 20 fight is very easy in dmc5 on lower difficulties is because the game constantly regenerates your DT gauge and to allow for busters, Vergil will kinda just stand there and let you hit him after comboing him a few times. In lore this is because Vergil is both tired from the fight with Dante and not wanting to fight his own son, combined with Nero being incredibly *MOTIVATED* to stop his newfound family from killing each other.

I've been playing this game lately. The final two sections of your comment are about to become useful. I'm trying to unlock the super characters and is playing on DMD mode.
@@LegendaryDarkKnight602 D.T.E. is a mandatory skill for the higher difficulties.
Adding to that, the producer of DMC2 didn't like Dante's swaggering wisecracking personality, hence why Dante was so dull in that game.
Developing of 2 started even before dmc 1 was released

Stuff like +0 and rl1, 1AP, deathless... )
Anyway, I think dmc 5 maybe should have had Sons of Sparda available for players of the franchise, Devil Hunter for complete newbs to the series (and action game in general lol) but still want a challenge and Human for those who are just that bad.
Devil Hunter and Son of Sparda are easy, the real difficulty is Dante must die model.. I haven't spent time playing Hell and Hell mode yet
agree but I wouldn't think making it a default difficulty is a good idea, but make it one of the starting choice would be great.
Playing DMC 3 with no style switching was super funny to watch
Playing DMC 3 not on the Switch, or on pc with the style switch mod is a literal disservice to how absolutely incredible the game is with that one change implemented
It’s how the game was originally made
Thank you so much for your kind ears. Thanks for hearing my prayers Kai
Try making this list again once you beat all these games on the hardest difficulty of each game. I can promise it’ll be a very drastic experience than playing these games on normal difficulty.
"Easy Mode is now selectable"
I can’t believe you didn’t die to the Skeleton dude with the sword and the two dogs in DMC 2, that was the hardest boss in the game for me!
Bro had an awakening during the first nelo Angelo boss fight and "unlocked" devil trigger 😂
For the next video, play on Dante Must Die (Hardest Difficulty) for every game and see:
1. Which is the hardest game in this mode.
2. How much more difficult it is compared to the same game’s normal mode
Great video!!
this so much, i can see dmc3 and 5 taking first and second place respectively
DMC3 on DMD was one of best challenging experiences I've ever had. Not until i decided to S rank the whole damn thing 💀 (Garrion was the last straw, made me pull my hair out and quit for awhile)
My friend had DMC3 dante's awakening the non special edition and he brought it over to try, i played up to mission 7 in hard mode until gave up... in hard mode. The hard was unforgiving as dmd, then special edition came to tone down the difficulty. I would never try dmd on the original dante's awakening
26:07 who's gonna tell him
In DMC3 you actually kinda want to be aggressive when Vergil is in DT, since when he is hit in DT his time spent in DT is reduced, making him regen much less.
Original Devil May Cry 3 was brutal as the Special Edition's Normal mode is equivalent to the original's Easy mode,
Agreed.
NTSC DMC3*
That's because HD collection of 1 is based on JP version which is easier than NA. Try the PS2 version
@@Noctis37 nuh-uh, NA/JP changes only affected DMC 3.

Base Dmc3 Vergil was a Harder fight than Dmc3 Se Vergil
DmC Vergil is such a fantastic boss fight. When the game came out I used to just replay that mission flawlessly over and over because of how fun and perfectly designed and balanced it is.
Both Vanilla and DLC Vergil felt like really well-designed fights Reboot had a trash story but they made sure to get the gameplay right
20:25 that’s because you didn’t play the second campaign as Lucia.
Dante was red vergil was blue you are not worthy as my opponent easy mode is now selectable
27:13 Oh yeah, when I was a kid I played the heck out of DMC3 and my younger self agrees, that is the worst mission. I've done it enough that I've got it pretty down pat at this point but it's still a pain.
You can use the d-pad in the mundus fight to get non-inverted controls
DMC1 NTSC PS2 is actually harder then the HD collection version, imo making that the hardest game in the series
It's basically the same on DMD
I dunno.Base Devil May Cry 3 is harder than Devil May Cry 3 Se!
The sad thing about the remake is that if it weren't marketed as a DMC game, it might've actually been received better overall.
Vergil from DMC 3 reminded you of Nelo Angelo? I don’t know. I don’t see anything similar.
Vergil is Nelo Angelo though thanks to Project X Zone he was actually alive a Few days after the events of Devil May Cry 3 before Mundus Attacked Him
Summonded swords, Vergil's half of the perfect amulet, literally taking off his helmet to reveal that he is Vergil in the third fight, Nelo Angelo is absolutely the funny motivated meme man.

Did it hurt anyone else that he wasn't spamming "Reach" on the Faust? And just ran up to them pressing B. Lock-On + B PLEASE!
See for DMC4 I either it slipped my mind or i didn’t know about the buster ability at all while playing 😅😅😅
For including the Re-boot as a DMC game you deserved all the pain the games gave you. x,D
this list was pretty accurate i agree with these choices even on the higher difficulties id say this is how it sums up
"Green orb is far to common in 5" Play in dmd difficulty and you begging this green orb show up cuz they will be remove in dmd beside from enemy drop.
Playing as Nero and V in Dante must die mode wasn't hard for me to the point I got S Rank, the real difficulty is playing As Dante.. the King Cerberus boss destroyed me 💀

37:19 He taught me to save my trigger till i needed it for style, health or i messed up.
reason why mission 20 in dmc 5 was "easier" is because the very first time you play through it as nero your devil trigger meter will constantly be rising. subsequent replays it'll work how it normally does
I am so shit at these games and I don’t like them, but I know they are good. So vicariously though watching this video, I will enjoy these games.
i found a lot of success just watching combo vids and the games ended up making sense to me also in dmc5 you can take advantage of the void and try out combos outside of missions which really helped me when i started playing as vergil
There is also the fact once you finish one dmc all of a sudden all of them become easier so the franchise is this good
I judge the difficulties not based of how many deaths, but how many times I got hit on first encounter.
DMD Arkham... enough said.
“Vergil reminded me of Nelo Angelo” this may come as a shock to you
DMC2's development really is one of the greatest mysteries in gaming.
For me DMC 1 is the hardest, also the most scary.
It gets surprisingly easy when you beat it once on normal then grind every single item and start spamming holy water in dmd
Ngl I miss the gritty and darker tone of dmc1-2
wonder how different the results would be had he played the game in reverse order, the lack of tutorials did hurt the earlier entries.
I wonder if that list would change on DMD mode.
I think that's the true test of the Devil May Cry series.

Sure, regular arenas are just annoying by the waves of enemies and, mostly, the tedious stun system (yes, the one you see in DMC 3, 4, 5 is inherited from DMC 2), but bosses, hoo... aside Chopper, Jokatgulm, Oranguewhatthehellisthisname, Moth, Trismagia, Arius, the rest bosses are actually... fun. Seriously. Bosses require you to adapt and here's why:
33:10 EXCUSE ME He was playing around with YOU!

Devil May Cry 3 was the special edition...? No wonder he died so much less than I was expecting
DMC2 suffered from having an incompetent team doing it then giving it to the old team to try and salvage it. I think the old team had like 4 months to make it playable
The main reason that people hate DmC x2 is the tone. It takes itself super seriously and wants to be mature and For Adults™️ while actually being embarrassingly edgy and shallow

Actually there's something about The New devil May cry entries and i mean dmc² dmc 4 and dmc5
Specially dmc 4 was made after The heavy backlash dmc 3 had about its difficulty, so they fixed after in the Gold edition, but after 3
Dmc 4 and dmc 5 were divided by 2 types of players, The novices, and the Veterans, and so they did the human mode, and the devil hunter,
While for older players made the mode, son of sparda and Dante must die
In the Gold edition of dmc3 They fixed the bug where the normal difficulty, and hard were actually the Dante must die, leaving only the easy difficulty as very easy indeed, this bug actually happened with the global version of the game , the American version to be direct, so as much as dmc 3 is difficult in general if you weren't playing the Gold version, then you were playing on the highest difficulty the whole game, still the game even in the Gold version is The hardest game in the franchise, but others like dmc 4 and 5 are also difficult if played between the same difficulty level as dmc 3, and I mean it when I say that dmc 5 in son of sparda or Dante must die, they need a skill level similar to 3, the
The same cannot be said of dmc² and dmc 2 that even in their greatest difficulties are not a challenge due to the way they were built.

DMC1: Easy to grasp
DMC5: OP characters with large move sets and expanded mobility. Easier enemies
DMC4: Predecessor with tougher enemies
DMC3: Most difficult enemies in the series. Most difficult encounter arenas.
Devil May Cry has always been great with difficulty.
