Also is it a symptom that my left leg doesn’t open fully when I lay down and lift it up. Also when i sit and lay my leg up my legs are not fully open.

This video is gold. I've told so many people about nerve flossing, because it dramatically improved my quality of life. I injured myself weight lifting and dealt with back pain for nearly 2 years! I had to self diagnose myself with sciatica because, as an overweight individual, the doctors I saw kept telling me my back pain was due to my weight, which was humiliating, demoralizing, and worst of all completely unhelpful. Their advice was to take anti-inflammatories and increase my core strength, etc. My pain was to the point that I would involuntarily yelp out just sitting down, and basic things like tying my shoes and shaving my legs were impossible so exercising was a sick joke. Eventually I gave up seeking help, and I couldn't work out which was filling me with even more guilt because I thought I deserved to be in pain because I couldn't get the weight off. Luckily things came across my attention that taught me about sciatic pain, but everything always said there's no cure without surgery, only stretches that may relieve pain for less severe injuries. Some stretches felt nice, others were unbearable, but nothing, nothing brought me above 50%
NERVE FLOSSING CHANGED EVERYTHING. In less than a week I got my full range of motion back, and now a year later I've only had 1 flare up after poorly lifting a very heavy box above my head and over twisting (much like my original injury). I dug this video back up and did the flossing and got back to feeling human, again in less than a week. I will treasure this technique forever because it gave me my dignity back, and taught me the WHY and HOW which is invaluable. So, so grateful! I hope that others will find this same relief when nothing else has worked for them!

Apart from the fact that I second what you say about docs and that o got to do the same path you followed, which is self diagnosing and exercising myself out of pain because docs would go with meds and blamed absolutely wrong things, I want to say this : sharing your experience and giving your feedback about this is as golden as this video itself. You don't even realize how precious is to track down comment of people who treated themselves and found out how to fix their problems and share their experience with others. Thank god for you today

You don't know how grateful I am for the knowledge you share on your channel.
My doctor asked me to have a scan last week for the excruciating pain I was having in my lower back & right buttocks. Result: nothing to report on the scan and I was told to "rest and continue the painkillers".
Yesterday I came across this video as the pain was slowly spreading down the back of my right leg. That's when I assumed it was the sciatic nerve.
The exercises I did reduced my pain by 70%. This morning I again did the exercises that suited my situation. I still have a little discomfort but I know how to tackle my problem.
Thank you very much, God bless you!

By far it's the most detailed video I've ever seen. There are many causes in sciatica and those clickbait titles videos always claim that their stretches will fit any kind of sciatica but not working on my case sometimes, so I was really impressed by your video when you mentioned piriformis syndrome can be long or short and they will need different treatment, appreciate that

Is there a specific volume , Intensity and frequency to these exercises or should I focus on listening to my body ? I did nerve flossing and It alleviated my pain by a significant amount . This channel is gold and your explanations are bright and clear.

Just feeling relief after 6 months from spinal stenosis and a severe herniated disc. Had crazy sciatica. Only way to fix this is mobility. And when I say mobility i mean stretching every single day trying to become as flexible as possible. I believe stretching your entire lower body is the only way to fix it. Especially your piriformis and hips. Stretch those two out every day and you will get relief i promise.

What is if the nerve flossing hurts? Work trough the pain? Or wait until the sciatica gets little better on its own?

I want to thank you for an exceptional training video! I tend to read through the comments first before watching videos. The comments were praising this video so much that I was intrigued to actually take notes while watching it. You explained every part so well. I will be involving my wife and the two of us will attempt to let this be part of our daily routines.
I give you 2 thumbs up, thank you again.

Ive had this bullshit for 12 years, ive gone to chiropractors and osteopaths. No big changes. Ive found stretching alleviates the pain a little, but it always comes back. Will give this a shot and update later. Thank you for providing this for free

Nope, I don't mean to say it won't work for you, give it a shot once or twice a day for a few days when it flares up. A quick conversation with a physiotherapist and Google search had led me to believe there isn't aa"standard" fix for sciatica. Just figure out what works and doesn't for you. Good luck

I truly love the depth of knowledge you have and the way you explain diagnosing and treating the problem, thank you! I was wondering what if the pain is not shooting down the leg but mostly up the back (around the spine) and it is one sided? Would that also be considered sciatica?

My McGill Master Clinician ran be through these BS tests and after over a year of seeing him was unable to provide me the cause of my pain or get me pain free. But he did make thousands of dollars off my pain and suffering which is pretty cool.
