The first time I did yoga, was half heartedly on a bed. The pain in my back stopped for the first time in 7 years. I was 26. 54 now. I will do some form of yoga for the rest of my life.
Yoga adds years to your life and life to your years...

yeah I wish yoga teachers didn't scream at their students. It's such a vulnerable place to be, and it shouldn't be a placew to be retraumatized. Glad I found your channel. Subscribed! Can't wait to watch your channel grow.

Yoga is not stretching body.. it is yog means joining, joining your body with cosmos.. more focus on breathing connect with inner body and universe.. leads to spiritual journey

Hi Jen! I'm currently working as a public transport driver, and to remain seated almost continuously for 8 hours a day, 5-6 days a week has quite an effect on the body. I have started yoga training online, and although I have done it previously, it has re-opened my eyes to the benefits of yoga, in particular in this day and age where we remain seated for much of our occupations and even recreation such as Netflix and gaming. I was also disappointed in your yoga teacher's attitude. Yoga is about becoming a better person, not BEING a better person. Well done on moving on from that finding your own niche! Kudos and God bless!

Yoga is a mind body theraphy that often recommended to treat not only back pain but also stress that accompanies it. There are appropriate poses which can relax and strengthen your body.

I had a(I'm sorry, I didn't realize it was Bikram, I would never support him)teacher yell at me for closing my eyes. She also kept complimenting me in front of the class(which was strange)& said"Molly I can see you've done a yoga class or two"stuff like that & tbh it made me uncomfortable lol. I came with friends(one of which is a yoga teacher herself)so I didn't want the comparisons to make them feel bad. That's really my only negative experience. I've had some meh classes & one teacher who would only speak the poses & rarely do them when leading.. at first is bothered me but I ended up learning the most from her in the long run. I now mostly do at-home practice with Down Dog app & sprinkle in Zooms from teachers around the world or in person classes. Yoga has made me more calm(I have severe anxiety)& enriches my days. I do Yoga Nidra or Restorative on the days I don't do a Vinyasa flow.. I meditate every day. It's the backbone of who I am becoming!

My first teacher was amazing, and it was abroad - I let him know that I am just starting to learn the language, so he translated when necessary. It helped me immensely with my language skills, and by buioding strength and flexibility became confident within my body. Yoga has helped me through depression.

I am really amazed by the way you kept doing it for seven years and there you are showing a very calming soul, I can't wait to go back to my routine with you, I follow some yoga teachers on TH-cam and I always notice that they lack this atmosphere that you're having only by talking about your journey, you have that sense of calmness within you, and I am willingly wishing that we can go far with you, by releasing our struggles with you teacher!! best of luck

Since March 21st 2022 I have been doing yoga everyday. I hope to continue with it. My body is under such a high amount of stress that I feel pain everyday and that it is sometimes hard to get through the day. Just watched your video and it gave me hope that maybe I can improve my life as well. My body is maybe giving up on me. But I am not giving up on my body. I want to improve, get better, and experience what it feels like to be happy and loved.

Hi, I had a similar feeling with you in my yoga session when I went to practice yoga, I wasn’t that comfortable with various reasons.. now I’m practicing it at home and there is no reason to force my self into the positions where I know it’s hard for my level bc of flexibility and strengh yet so I feel much better , I wanna do it more overall I get confidence after yoga and that gives me motivation now I love doing yoga it’s become daily routine : ) thanks I enjoyed your video!

yoga is far different from what u r doing...u r just doing stretching which releases oxytocin which makes u feel good ..not actual yoga of indian tradition
