After about 20 attempts, I finally decided "Ok, last attempt... i'm getting a headache" and THATS when I got it. Thank goodness and thanks for the very informative tutorial!
Well, it took me THREE HOURS of fiddling with the delay and seconds but it DID work... eventually. But hey, three hours for infinite easy shiny Pokémon is worth it. Thanks.
took me about three hours as well, mostly because i kept getting distracted and mistiming my button presses, also the "change which case your name ended on" didn't work for me, so I had to change the year instead to make the delay I was wanting work,,
@@blankpickle6896 Fair, but this doesn't work for every Pokémon, this trick isn't used by everyone, and it's gen 4 exclusive except for people who bother transferring and perhaps paying for Pokébank (for beyond gen 5).
Quick tip for anyone who is trying to do this on 3DS: I found that starting the game right after changing the clock then soft resetting worked better for me as it seems that the 3DS starts the DS game a tad slower than the DS Lite or DSi.
Hey, I know this comment is super old but maybe you can answer my question. I have both a DS Lite and a 3DS. I want to do this method on my Heart Gold so I'll use the DS Lite for maximum accuracy to the video. My question is once I actually succeed and get the ID I need can I just take the game cart from the DS lite and into the 3DS and the glitch will work properly? I find the 3DS more comfortable to play on . Thanks
Finally hit it, took a while but for those who are struggling, my setup is this: Game: Soul Silver Date and time: 2021/30/05, 10:55 Eon timer settings: Calibrated delay 586, Target delay 6001, Target second 21 Changed to dsi setting for eon timer since I'm on dsi, left on lower caps before finishing my name!
I kept getting the right frame, but the wrong second(22 instead of 23) in Pandora's Box Seed Finder. I changed my target second to 21 in Eon Timer like you posted on here and I finally got my target frame with the correct ID after a couple tries. Thank you for this. JP HG copy on a DS Lite.
Here's what I did to make this work: 1. I used a Nintendo DSI, as it seems to launch DS games faster than the 3DS. This is optional, but I can't guarantee results with the 3DS. 2. I used a copy of Pokemon Pearl. But I don't believe it makes much of a difference. 3. I was aiming for the same TID as this TH-camr (02002,) and I trial and errored until I got these settings in Eon Timer: Calibrated Delay: 532 Calibrated Second: 14 Target Delay: 6004 Target Second: 23 4. Set your DS's date to 5/30/2018, and your device's clock to 10:55 (The time you're aiming for is 10:57) 5. Hit "Set Time" at the same moment you hit "Start" on Eon timer, as demonstrated in this video. Then proceed as normal. 6. Select Dawn, (the female character,) and name her "J", (without the quotation marks,) ending on lower case. Name your rival the first name that appears on the drop-down menu when the professor asks what your rival's name is. 7. If this doesn't work the first time, try once or twice again. If it doesn't work after that, calibrate your EonTimer settings as demonstrated in the video from there. I'll try to answer all the questions I can. Hope this helps somebody!
What do you do to trial and error to find the correct cal. delay? Using the eon timer calibration makes my numbers way off, but i don't know how to tweak it manually
@@michael195 I'm not sure how the TID assignments change between the generations. I would give it a few shoots, if it doesn't work, then try calibrating it from there.
watched this vid a week ago and was OBSESSED with it, bought both diamond and pearl secondhand. second day of rng, first day i went for the wrong delay, second day i realized halfway through. i spent around 4-5 hours total hunting, but after i had the correct settings in eontimer, only took about an hour to get my id of 62026, sid 62021. it’s both a novel one and a cute charm. so excited, thank you!
I finally got it to work on my HG aswell. For anyone who needs it: Desired PID: 00000014 ID:33300 SID: 33281 Seed: 880A17A9 Date 02/27/2019 Time: 10:59:23 Eon-timer (NDS): C.Delay 644 C.Seconds 14 Target Delay: 6038 Target Sec: 20 I kept hitting the right Delay and seconds but I got another ID. It was set on 20 seconds instead of 23 (in Seed to time window). I got my ID with ONLY setting the Target seconds in Eon timer to 20 and 23 in the Seed to time box, that's the only thing that was a bit unsure in the video. Great video still! Thank you :3
thank you so much. I got 2002 for my platinum but when trying to get it for soulsilver I could not get it no matter what. I had it set in my seed to time as well
this seems really confusing and overwhelming, but after a couple views was able to replicate completely thanks for making the guide way to be a true lad
Dude, I was convinced all this rng stuff was fake but it actually worked! I got the ID I wanted. I’m about to play up to where I can trade and get my cute charm Pokémon on my game Thank you for the guide!! Edit: I have a fully functional cute charm game!
Got the desired ID for my Platinum two months ago, and after lots of shiny pokemon there, got the desired ID for my Soul Silver today. My Shiny Dex will prosper! Thanks a lot!!!
do you remember what you put as the target sec? he says use 20, but he puts 23 in the seed of time. It worked for my platinum when i used 23 in both cases, but it wont work on my soul silver
5 years old and still probably the best guide on how to do this. Managed to setup my Pearl cartridge in less than an hour thanks to you, HeartGold next.
Sent from PokeTips, watched the video once, then watched a second time while trying with my SoulSilver, got it in like 20 minutes. Thanks so much, great job explaining things :)
@@imablisy Been doing so on Let's Go with combo catches as well as in USUM with Shiny Charm soft resets! You my friend are a genius. At first I was scared to try this because it looks really hard. But I put in about an hour of my time and got it to work and I had a blast doing it! Thank you so much.
It took me 3 days of roughly 3 hours of attempts each, but I finally got it!! For those who are currently still struggling, just persist, you will be rewarded in due time. I did it on a first gen normal 3DS BTW.
I know this video is almost a year old now but thank you so much. Still works. I also had problems with the calibrated delay but I found it was mainly when switching between even and odd hits. tysm
I got mine to work! Took a few hours of messing around. Used a New Nintendo 3ds XL on HG. I used all of his settings on this video (changed the EonTimer to 3ds in the settings though). What I found to be helpful was to soft reset the game before the first timer hit 0 instead of launching it from the 3ds main menu. I just held L + R + Select and then pressed Start right when the timer hit 0. Hope this helps anyone out!
@@Dunkacciino Cresselia, like Latias and Latios, already has a pre-determined gender, female, similar to other legendaries that have no gender predetermined. It only works on Heatran because it's gender is is 50/50, like wild Pokémon, thus can be manipulated through Cute Charm like wild Pokémon can.
Took me a few goes but finally got it. Used the same Seed and TID as you, only difference is I used a DSi and SS. For anyone who may need help hitting it, I kept hitting 22 seconds instead of 23, so I changed the value to 21 seconds instead of 20 on Eon timer, and the calibrated delayed I finally hit it with was 588.
Thank you so much for commenting this. I also kept getting 22 seconds instead of 23 and after changing my value to 21 seconds I was able to get it in 4 tries!
You're a lifesaver! Thanks to you, I got mine on Diamond in only 10 minutes :) I kept hitting 24 Seconds with the perfect 6000 delay, but when I changed it to 22 seconds I hit the 6000 delay with 23 seconds, worked like a charm
For DSi users, I was able to hit the 02002 id with delay of 496, and the target seconds set to 21. (This was on English Platinum.) Keep cursor on lower case. Got it the second try after I lowered the target seconds from 23 to 21, after I missed the delay by 1 when ending in upper instead of lower case. Hope this helps someone!!! It took me a lot longer than most people it seems, with about a week and probably close to 10 hours in trying different ids on different consoles before sticking to the dsi.
I used first my 3ds but gave quickly up and moved to my dsi after seeing your comment, I managed it with: 534 calibrated delay target second 23. took my like, 30 min and that's with trying out new names and stuff too
It took me over 8 hours of trying different times, dates, delays, timers, and consoles. Within an hour of using your comment as a base I got it. Thank you so much
Owen Ling I used a dsi xl and I used eon timer set to this comments settings. I also used poke finder and followed the exact videos settings except I used the guy and made my name C instead. I just kept trying and kept updating my delay time and eventually it worked. It takes a long time and it took my over 2 days to get it right but you just have to be patient and keep trying
Just came back to say that I got it! Took my several hours, but everytime I found something that I was doing wrong. I used a 2DS XL, and a Soul Silver. Somethings that helped me: - Soft-Reset instead of booting, since the 3DS/2DS system boots DS games kinda slowly; - Remember to set 3 seconds less on HG/SS. The moment to press "A" is when Oak says "I'll see you again soon!" or something like this. The 3 seconds that you took from the setting is the exact amount it takes to generate the ID; - Write down your results, it helps to keep track of you are getting close or not; - If you try too many times and keep missing by little, try changing your ID. I kept missing the Delay by 4 or 6, then I chose another ID, and on the third try, I got it! Thank you so much for the video!
Literally copied the exact same set up you had for my SS and It Worked!!, Also tip to anyone else out there trying this on SS If you hit your delay and seconds extremely close to your Target Delay and Target Seconds, don’t touch adjust anything on Eon timer, just keep trying the exact same thing with the exact same set up
Did this on heart gold today, it was very easy to do if you follow things. I used my ds lite and the timid nature of the male party leader section. I went for the id 00200. I got it at a calibrated delay of 660, target delay of 6093, with a 20 second delay. Thank you so much for the easy to follow video, helped that your voice is so clear as well.
for those Who are struggling read this: Keep trying different things... What worked for me is that RNG reporter gave a delay and it kept coming closer to the id i wanted Ultimately i ended up with a delay of 5757 with 21 seconds wich resulted in a calibrated delay was 570. My character name is A and i did not use the upper/lower case trick, cause i just wanted to started the game asap, hope it helps! Also, do not forget to be precise with the timing, it is very important, the counter beeps 6 times before hitting 0.0 so i pressed the buttons on the 5th beeping sound.
i dont remember the ID sorry, but the ID doesnt matter that much bro, just make sure your timing is perfect, press the button right at the last beeping sound@@gachalife-wv6fi
I did this just now and omg it worked really well thank you dude every other guide I've looked at was convoluted for my small brain but I managed to get the ID I was after, you are a lifesaver! :D
i just did it again in HG, i think i got the hang of it. If you wanna succeed just do these things: - follow the video steps - make sure the seed finder gives you "23" seconds if you fail the target, maybe 22 or 24 could work but i vouch for 23 - make sure to track the even and odd delays to apply the right case type - this is the most important one, do not mess up the timing, it is the most vital part. I REPEAT! do not mess up the timing, follow the beeps and you should be fine... Good Luck Once again blisy, thank you very much!
Excellent guide! Thanks! I managed to get it under 30 mins and after the 2nd delay calibration. In fact I’m having a more difficult time getting the Jigglypuff in Safari Zone to stay in the ball lol
To anyone playing HgSs if you are confused over if you should change the Target seconds in both the RNG reporter and Eon timer to 20, don’t. Only change the Target seconds in the Eon timer to 20 and keep the seconds to 23 in the “seed to times” section of the RNG reporter.
Wow. Just did this, took less than 20 minutes and only 3 attempts (I kept forgetting to wait to press A, and had to redo it with the same calibrated delay. It would've taken even less time had I done it right every time.) Got the TID I was aiming for, 18999 and I'm super excited to get a cute charm Pokemon and start hunting! Thanks for the tutorial, it was really easy to follow once I had the programs in front of me.
So for an early cute charm pokemon 1:get a buneary with run away 2:get it to max happiness 3:level it up till it evolves into a lopunny 4:run away will turn into cute charm enjoy!
@@basil8380 Actually I'm playing SS since I lost my copy of Platinum (a travesty, I know) so I have to wait until Kanto to get a cute charm pokemon, unfortunately.
Female lead 87,5% means , it only affects for any pokemon that has 87,5% ratio of male and 12,5% female , like Eevee. And so does female lead 75%,50% or 25%. That means if you want to get Shiny Male Skitty , you need The Cute Charm Glitch with female lead 25%. Because Skitty Gender ratio is 25% male and 75% female. Hope this helps
My first day attempting this, I tried an hour and left. The next day with the knowledge of my trial and error, I got it in 10 min. My recommendation is not to calibrate too much, maybe just 4 times, I consistently started missing the ID by 2 numbers, giving me the same failed ID.
For those trying to get it on soulsilver or heartgold, I was able to get it on eon timer with a calibrated delay of 587, calibrated second of 14, target delay of 6004, target second of 21, and I kept the typing on capital letters (the name I used was just C). I had the eon timer set to nds (even though I was using a dsi). Date was 5/30/2018 and the time was 10:57 but the dsi's time is set to 10:55 like in the video.
hiii sorry to bother you! i just have a quick question, for the time you set, you put 10:57? also how did you time it for soulsilver? like in platinum theres a whole tv news thing he waited for in the video so i was wondering how you did that in HG/SS?
I knew someone who actually had this glitch back in Platinum! Our friend group swore he was cheating until he kept getting shinies in front of us playing Platinum. His lead was a cute charm pokemon emand everything!
Actually there's kinda a misconception about choosing the seed. I chose timid and it didn't give me Impish and Lax above it, instead I got Mild and Quiet, so the nature you choose gives you that and the 7 below it.
@150Gallade Or I get from modest (group2)down to sassy (group3) I'm yet to hit a shiny after about 20 random encounters, I'm just trying to make sure I did it right
@@Eric-bm3wx well you technically have a cc game but it's nearly useless. You need a female lead, but it only works on 7:1 gender ratio Pokemon. So you can get a shiny Male Combee in all versions, Relicanth in HGSS (though it would be quicker to just chain fish in XY) or Eevee in DPP
Thank you so much for making a more in depth vid. I made my Diamond a cutecharm game a while back and it took about 2 days to do using your old vid and info from smogol. With this, I was able to hit my desired seed in Soulsilver on the second attempt.
Took me a long time to get my id (01950), thank you so much for the tutorial. I had to play around with the calibrate delay and managed to get 690 for SS. Great content keep up the good work man!
I just spent all night with my best friend, hitting the trainer ID. We ended up doing it so many times we got all 3 shiny starters. Thank you for this tutorial it was amazing
FINALLY!! After 11 hours between 2 days I finally got it on my Heartgold! I ended with 6004 delay, and 25 seconds actually and my info in EonTimer (I used Zomgtimer on Mac) was calibrated-634, target-6004, seconds-20 and I always hit on the 5th beep using the rhythm of the first ones get in rhythm before hitting on the 5th. So since I don't have a way to trade or check until the safari zone I just went for his same TID/SID and copied his work exactly. But I had issues at first using Pokefinder (Mac) because the input year was stuck on 2000 when trying to put the Shiny PID in and generate the TID/SIDs. So what went wrong is I was using the ID 02002 and all the times according to a wrong year I think and it was calculating the wrong time and date for that ID (I was using like aug 25th 10:05am or something and it was NOT working for 10 of those 11 hours trying this). So I finally stopped using the generator since I realized I didn't need it when copying blisy's TID/SID, time, date, and even general eonTimer inputs. So I stopped using the 2000 dates in seed finder and changed to his exact time and date and copied his final entries in eontimer (the ones on his successful try) and then did what everyone says below. which is: -BE EXACT with button timing, (don't enter a hit delay if you know it wasn't consistent with other tries) -Put the ID you ended up getting and use the delay it says that is closest to the TARGET DELAY (remember I ended with getting 25 seconds so i always based my HIT DELAY closest to TARGET DELAY not my seconds close to 23) -KEEP TRYING and perfecting that calibrated delay I hope this helped SOMEone, I tried adding the things that I didn't find anywhere else that I learned for myself. GOOD LUCK! QUESTION: anyone hear what nature his jigglypuff is?
I actually got this to work this morning on my Pearl game! I messed up several times so it took me around 2 hours to get the ID I needed, but it worked!
So, I did this glitch on both my SS and Diamond copy and it works great. Thanks a lot for the video. This goes way over my head when I read it, but watching it being done helped a lot. Now I am trying to rng a shiny Lugia on the same SS by following your stationary rng guide. The problem is everytime I try to find a shiny seed it only gives me the option of using a cute charm female as my lead Pokemon. Will this still work using the same method you did on that video? You talked about using a Synchronize Pokemon or having no lead Pokemon requirement. I didn't know if the process would be the same or if I needed to use different information in the rngreporter. Only reason I posted on this one is because it's more recent and it seems you've replied on here more recently than your other video. Again thanks a lot for all the videos. I plan on doing some rng on gen 3 once I finally buy a dslite.
Just got this in Heartgold today. I was a bit worried since you were using DP but it only took me about an hour. Very well explained! If anyone's watching this video in 2023 and struggling, my advice is to just keep trying and calibrating and you'll get it. I got literally one delay off my target three times in a row but got it eventually.
Okay I just did it and here are some information on how I got it, i hope it helps: Desired PID (HEX): 00000008 ID: 48781 SID: 48769 Seed: 5317177C Time: 23:52:30 Date: 1.1.2019 Delay: 5993 System: N3DS Game: SS Eon timer: Calibrated Delay: 349 Target Sec: 27 (Set EON Timer to 3DS in its options, i dont know if its necessary but i did it)
THANKS! This worked for me on my Soul Silver. tho I had to change my Calibrated delay to 649 and Target Sec to 24. Took me like 5-10 tries. For anyone who needs it: i.imgur.com/xfOFncZ.png
I was har been trying this for at least 10 hours without success. Then I saw your comment and tried your settings i and got it on the first try. So i recommend anyone who is trying to do this on Soulsilver to use these settings
this works on the new 3ds. when useing a forwarded .nds file you need to mess with the calibrated seconds if you wanna open the game on the last beep instead of thesoft reset buttonpress, wich has been found to not have consistent load times. For the new 3ds the calibrated seconds are +11, meaning 25 seconds... or so I heard. All my games are second hand :) .
I just want to say I watched a lot of videos on the topic and yours is by far the best. Your explanations are spot on and easy to understand. I got the glitch working on my game after a few hours. Totally worth it.
If anyone is trying this on a DSi in 2022, I managed to get the 02002 ID in Pokemon Pearl with these settings in Eon Timer: Calibrated delay: 523 Calibrated second: 14 Target delay: 6004 Target second: 23 I set my character as female, name is P and ended in lower case. My rival's name is Clint because that's the first name that pops up. Remember to set your Eon Timer to DSi in the settings. Good luck!
@@tripleaxelblazeI used the same date and time as in the video. The date was 5/30/2018 and the time was 10:55. I also used the touchscreen to enter my name and hit lowercase if that helps :)
Just a heads up for anyone setting up for this method, that in Diamond, Pearl and Platinum that during double battle sections (Ones where you have an NPC pair up with you, and triggers double wild battles) that if both Pokemon in the wild are shiny the game crashes. (Crashes may differ each time some may even require force boot down).
Database Productions my mistake that is what I meant but believe it is due to not being able to place the second shiny animation which causes some issues, which makes sense if the game cannot check for two values quickly enough causing the second to not have the animation causing crashes and softlocks.
Equinox actually considering this is about Cute Charm Trainer ID and Secret IDs, the info I provided actually applies seems like your the one out for attention do some research before you try to call people out, there is however a possibility it only happens on older versions of the game as they patch them although not as common it may have been fixed in the third version, being platinum and could also work differently between regions due to not always sharing a global release date.
It's now 2024 July. Finally got it, or least I think I got my target PID, haven't gotten to the point where I can catch a cute charm pokemon. Below is my setup: Console: 3DSXL Game: Soul Silver JPN Group: 2nd group (I picked 0000000D) PID: 07220 Date: 2023.01.01 13:12:10 Delay: 4999 Some tips: 1. If you are using 3ds, once you set the time, load the game asap, and soft resetting the game on the first timer works great! 2. Personally, I find the visual cue for the eon timer works a lot better than the audio one. The beeping sound distracts me, but without any cue I really couldn't time it right. I set 3 visual signals 500 each, and I pace myself on the first two color cue to count the 3rd one which I press. My delay are always within 10 delay once I started using visual cue. 3. For hgss, 6000 starting delay is way too long, you always end up having to wait 40 seconds on the last screen. I read the Smogon post and it says you could start at 5000 delay if you want so thats what I did. 4. I only calibrated like 4 times ish and I start constantly hitting within 6delay variance, so I stopped calibrating, and just go with the same timer without any further updates. I would suggest only calibrate/update when you feel like you hit super close to the timer. If you for sure know you are late/early, and didn't hit the timer close enough, don't calibrate it, you just gonna feed the timer bad data. If you feel like you hit the timer on the spot, update it, and if that delay is super close to your target. Screenshot that timer, and use that going forward.
So say for example I’m aiming for an even delay, but I ended up with an odd delay, do I have to do the lowercase thing *every* time I try again, or only immediately after ending up with an odd delay? I really don’t understand that part. Also, is it necessary for me to name my trainer? My first several times I just went to enter on the name screen and took whatever random name it gave me, but eventually I just went with L and tried the lowercase thing. EDIT: Nevermind I got it! Blissey I love you, thank you very much for this. To those still trying, the uppercase and lowercase should be used every time. I was getting both even and odd delays when I didn’t bother changing, but when I started using lowercase every time I got even delays (which is what I was searching for) and got my delay after a good 20 minutes. This was fun.
Wait so am I switching between uppercase and lowercase every time or only when I hit an even delay I switch to lower case or what? I'm still pretty confused and have been doing this for HOURS. I'm trying to hit an even delay so when I hit an odd delay do I need to switch, or every time do I switch??
At first I kept hitting 24 seconds instead of 23, not realizing that this was why I couldnt get the glitch to work. After digging through Reddit I found this out: if your seconds are off by one, adjust your calibrated seconds by 1 (my calib. Seconds went from 14 to 13). This brought me closer to my delay. Eontimer would then bounce my calibrated delay between 3-4 delays (505, 506, 507, 504) and it took multiple attempts on each delay until I finally got it (my delay wound up being 505)!! thanks for the tutorial!!!!
Amazing Video I got it after a couple hours. I narrowed it down to a delay that seems to get really close and then just had to do like 20 attempts to finally get it. thank you soo much
Now after I do this on my Pokémon diamond on my ds can I pop the cartridge out and put it in my 3ds that has the current date and time and use it on there or is that going to mess up the shiny glitch
appreciate your attempts to explain exactly how it works! I'm going to check out a few more instructions on it so I can be sure I know what I'm doing. and I'd like to do this on hgss instead cause I like the shiny potential spawns in those games better

I just did this today and got 42069 as my ID. Nice.
Best ID ever bruh, grats.
Nice.
Wish I got that ID
Nice
Can someone pls explain me how the upper or lower letters affect this glitch?
Here's what I did to make this work:
1. I used a Nintendo DSI, as it seems to launch DS games faster than the 3DS. This is optional, but I can't guarantee results with the 3DS.
2. I used a copy of Pokemon Pearl. But I don't believe it makes much of a difference.
3. I was aiming for the same TID as this TH-camr (02002,) and I trial and errored until I got these settings in Eon Timer:
Calibrated Delay: 532
Calibrated Second: 14
Target Delay: 6004
Target Second: 23
4. Set your DS's date to 5/30/2018, and your device's clock to 10:55 (The time you're aiming for is 10:57)

Somethings that helped me:
- Soft-Reset instead of booting, since the 3DS/2DS system boots DS games kinda slowly;
- Remember to set 3 seconds less on HG/SS. The moment to press "A" is when Oak says "I'll see you again soon!" or something like this. The 3 seconds that you took from the setting is the exact amount it takes to generate the ID;
- Write down your results, it helps to keep track of you are getting close or not;
- If you try too many times and keep missing by little, try changing your ID. I kept missing the Delay by 4 or 6, then I chose another ID, and on the third try, I got it!
Thank you so much for the video!
Renan Neumann should I do 3 seconds less in the seed to time as well or just the timer?
Literally copied the exact same set up you had for my SS and It Worked!!, Also tip to anyone else out there trying this on SS If you hit your delay and seconds extremely close to your Target Delay and Target Seconds, don’t touch adjust anything on Eon timer, just keep trying the exact same thing with the exact same set up
OpteX GD how close because I always get my seconds off by 4 or 5
QueenEon I’d adjust the seconds if you’re hitting That close
QueenEon for example, using 10 target seconds you hit 12 but your target was 13, next time increase your target seconds to 11 in the eon timer
QueenEon but it’s more important if your hitting your delay
Hi OpteX GD! sorry to ask this, but did you use his ending calibrations and targets? (605, 14, 6004, 23)
Did this on heart gold today, it was very easy to do if you follow things. I used my ds lite and the timid nature of the male party leader section. I went for the id 00200. Followed your example entirely but made a 3 letter full caps name and got the id immediately! So helpful!!
i just did it again in HG, i think i got the hang of it.
If you wanna succeed just do these things:
- follow the video steps
- make sure the seed finder gives you "23" seconds if you fail the target, maybe 22 or 24 could work but i vouch for 23
- make sure to track the even and odd delays to apply the right case type
- this is the most important one, do not mess up the timing, it is the most vital part.
I REPEAT! do not mess up the timing, follow the beeps and you should be fine...

I dunno if thsts true. I did 50/50 one with a male lead and got a shiny abra

So if I choose modest then I can only get modest?
@150Gallade Or I get from modest (group2)down to sassy (group3)

For correct timing training i just paused his video with the space bar at 00. Lol
I tried to mimic your setup using YOUR video in place of the program and timer and got the 02002 ID after 20+tries! Thanks for showing this
So I stopped using the 2000 dates in seed finder and changed to his exact time and date and copied his final entries in eontimer (the ones on his successful try) and then did what everyone says below. which is:
-BE EXACT with button timing, (don't enter a hit delay if you know it wasn't consistent with other tries)
-Put the ID you ended up getting and use the delay it says that is closest to the TARGET DELAY (remember I ended with getting 25 seconds so i always based my HIT DELAY closest to TARGET DELAY not my seconds close to 23)
-KEEP TRYING and perfecting that calibrated delay
I hope this helped SOMEone, I tried adding the things that I didn't find anywhere else that I learned for myself. GOOD LUCK!

@@tripleaxelblazeI used the same date and time as in the video. The date was 5/30/2018 and the time was 10:55. I also used the touchscreen to enter my name and hit lowercase if that helps :)
@@MisterMason66I'm seeing this comment so late but congratulations! I'm so glad my comment was able to help! Happy hunting! :)
I haven't crashed once with multiple double shiny encounters.
That's because this guy is probably lying for some attention.
Equinox Wrong. HamsterBomb showed that this is actually true in his Cute Charm videos. It crashes every time.
Below is my setup:
Console: 3DSXL
Game: Soul Silver JPN
Group: 2nd group (I picked 0000000D)
PID: 07220
Date: 2023.01.01 13:12:10
Delay: 4999
Some tips:
Followed the directions and got a good ID! I've got shinies coming out of my ears now, thanks so much for the informative step-by-step guide!
btw what happens if i mess up and go too early? just reset or count it?
At first I kept hitting 24 seconds instead of 23, not realizing that this was why I couldnt get the glitch to work. After digging through Reddit I found this out: if your seconds are off by one, adjust your calibrated seconds by 1 (my calib. Seconds went from 14 to 13). This brought me closer to my delay. Eontimer would then bounce my calibrated delay between 3-4 delays (505, 506, 507, 504) and it took multiple attempts on each delay until I finally got it (my delay wound up being 505)!! thanks for the tutorial!!!!
I’m more of a Quilava guy but hey, just nice to see a guy who enjoys gen 2/4 as much as I do :)
Thanks for the guide! I followed along and got the right ID in SS and am definitely gonna be trying some more RNG stuff now!
Ended up getting a calibrated delay of 666, should I be scared?
He’s coming O)_(O
Yea you should the shiny gods are telling you not to do this
You should embrace it! You'll get a demonic super power Pokémon!

Following.
Wouldn't think so... It shouldn't change the IDs that have been set after you load up the game. But i am not sure though
No it won't. The date and time are only required to generate the IDs.
this is interesting. so this glitch will allow for a higher shiny rate through out the game?
@@questioneverything4120 Only on wild pokemon with a variable gender.
appreciate your attempts to explain exactly how it works! I'm going to check out a few more instructions on it so I can be sure I know what I'm doing. and I'd like to do this on hgss instead cause I like the shiny potential spawns in those games better
please help. i put in 2019 and it said invalid year
that's.. not supposed to happen
I didn't know anything about this glitch before this video besides the fact that it existed. I was able to hit my target PID/SID on my second attempt! Excellent guide, thanks for such good content.
I hit the same ID twice and the same delay 3 times :')
still no cute charm id
i just did it now. same delay, same id and im not sure if something is wrong -.- ( i followed every step he did! ) gonna give it more tries and see.
Did you get it yet?

Sent from poketips. As soon as my DS gets delivered to me I’m do this ish right away. Also your voice is incredibly soothing and I’ll edit this as soon as I hopefully get this glitch to work!.
When I'm close to the delay I want its 23 seconds, and when i finally get the delay I want, it says 24 seconds. This has happened 2x now. Can anyone help?
same...
@@TheOfficialDjTetris Me too buddy. I'm going to try changing Target Delay, other's have had success there
First Try, it worked. I dropped my Target second to 22. My Calibrated Delay was 572.
Hit my delay exactly but says 24 seconds instead of 23 as well. Completely different ID and SID. :(
@@deanmatarrese3052 drop your target delay
Totally works! Took about 2 hours for me just because needed getting used to the flow. Easy guide explaining just enough. Just make sure that you have the cute charm pokemon ready otherwise may take a while to get going after getting the right ID :D
Holy shit thank you
Xxx_FedoraMaster69_xxX sick username
thanks lol. also im kiwi on discord. you expalined this so well
Thanks dude, that's amazing. That works on my Spanish Soul SIlver. I just follow all your steps, the only difference was that for me the calibrated delay was 590 instead of 490
calibrated delay usually ends up as different for every poerson I'd sya
I finally got a TID of 00200 :).tysm
this is the TID im going for. Im slightly bad at timing, so any tips, or just keep trying? lol
Just did it successfully. Thanks so much for the video. Feels like I gave a gift to me as a twelve year old.
HGSS Specs:

Calibrated Delay- 578
Calibrated Second- 14
Target Delay- 6000

Works in 2020! Thank you so much! Feel free to reply people from the future! Might be able to help. 3DS wasn't working for me for whatever reason.
hey Cassidy! im trying to do the same thing for my soulsilver and was wondering if you had your eontimer switched to dsi instead of nds? thanks! :)
Cosmoz Yes I did!
Cassidy Sadonis wow that was a fast reply! thanks so much :’) im just gonna keep using your numbers till i get since it worked for u
