This can be done by following him along starting from 8:32 in the video! I just got the id and a shiny totodile! No eon timer or pokefinder just follow along! You do not have to exit out of the intro like he does at 9:19 Just work at the timing of his clock and you'll get it! (i have chromebook so i couldn't download eon timer or pokefinder). Thanks Blisy!
After about 5 hours of wondering if I'll ever get the right ID, I FINALLY landed it and nailed the cyndaquil setup first time. I'm so excited to replay HG with a shiny version of my first starter ever. Thanks so much :')

Took me several hours from start to finish, twice actually getting the correct trainer ID, and once majorly messing up the steps, but I can finally say I got my shiny Chikorita, and it's Timid!!! THANK YOU! :)
I love shiny Pokémon aesthetics so I'm glad that there is a way to make them super accessible in game. Thank you so much! Named my shiny chikorita Sunny.
Thank you so much!! I've always been curious as to how this method worked and after having soft resetted for Totodile and having only found shiny Cyndaquil and Chikorita, this was my saving grace! I spent a bit over 3 hours trying to get the correct ID (which I did around 5 times) and getting the steps correctly, which I always mess up. Now I have my shiny Totodile thanks to you!!
Just got the shiny Totodile for my brother, can't wait to surprise him! Thank you so much, your videos are very well explained and informative. The Discord chat is also very supportive and helpful whenever you have a question. I'll definitely come back more to this channel!
@@gianlucag2038 Basically the soft resetting buttons? Depending whether you use a DS, a 2DS or a 3DS they're different though, so you might search on Google which buttons they are. :)
@@pckepotato According ti the video, there is a certain path to follow to get totodile, but it is not that easy. I meant the buttons to push during the path.
Dude, I know you said cyndaquil was the hardest but I am struggling so hard with totodile. I got chikorita on accident the first time and cyndaqil the second time. So I am sticking with Fire boi. Thank you so much for the guide though it really was helpful.
Thank you Blisy! I got my shiny Chikorita after around 2hours. I found it easier by holding the set time button and mouse button in, then releasing them together. Also, not focusing on the actual timer and rather closing my eyes and counting the beeps! Good luck everyone
It took me over three hours of attempts before I finally got the ID and in my excitement I messed up the movement steps and none of the starters ended up shiny. I also hadn't saved as I wasn't sure if it would mess anything up so I reset and tried my luck again. Managed to hit the frame for the ID immediately on the following attempt and got myself a Shiny Timid Chikorita! Thank you so much! For anyone attempting this who is struggling: Try to get your timing to be right on the 6th beep. For the first few attempts I found myself doing it after the 6th where a hypothetical 7th beep would be. With my DS volume on, I found that the sound of the 'A' press with professor oak should be synched with the 6th beep. Obviously you won't have the audio cue to work with for the first reset but it should give you a better idea of the exact timing to aim for.
I don’t know if anybody has noted this but I didn’t see in the comments so I thought I’d share. I followed this guide and the platinum guide that uses the same TID/SID. I named myself the same trainer name on both games and then traded my HG starter over to Plat. Because all the info is the same it doesn’t act like a traded Pokémon (no extra exp, obeys past gym level, etc.). Don’t know if this is useful info at all but kinda neat
That is useful for people who wanna use the pokemon that are only obtainable natively in HGSS in their Platinum version save. Given the limited number of fire types in Gen 4, rather than use infernape again for the umpteenth time, a shiny Cyndaquil would be dope on a Platinum playthrough.
A couple of tips for people getting stuck: 1. When timing your soft resets and starting the game with oak, listen to the beeps of EonTimer rather than looking at the timer itself. It'll count down 6 beeps, and you want to reset/push A on the 6th beep exactly. 2. I couldn't get the right TID on the first attempt regardless of how accurate I was. That said, if your "seconds" on pokefinder are 39 after finding the TID you did get, then you're on the right track. Update your delay in eontimer and go again- I was able to recreate getting 39771 on multiple 2nd tries (ie. after my delay hit had been updated). If you don't get it on the second try, just keep updating your delay hit, you shouldn't need to do the first half again (where your calibrated delay was 490). But if the numbers start getting weird then it's best just to restart the whole thing. 3. If all you want is the TID for cute charm then you can stop here! If you're going for the shiny starter then follow one of the paths he uses. DO NOT SAVE YOUR GAME, I tried and it completely takes away the ability to get a shiny starter. Like he said, if you mess up the path you have to do the entire TID process over again. I was using a NDSi and when I followed totodiles path I got a shiny cyndaquil instead. He commented on another vid that this means you're not getting there fast enough- his load times did seem to be quite a bit faster than mine and I wonder if the NDSi had something to do with that vs doing this on a 3ds.
@@thetoetoe It's been awhile since I did it, so I honestly don't remember.. But I'm pretty sure I was using the one he was using, just to keep it simple. You can definitely do it using a different seed, you just have to understand how the other values will change. Play around with it a bit. I remember it taking awhile to feel comfortable with what I was doing.
Wait so do you have to change anything if you fail to get the 39771 seed? I managed to get to exactly 39 secs the first time, should I click on update every time I fail the second attempt?
I feel like you should be able to. I don't think the shiny starter is tied to the ID, but rather your timing of the frames and day/time@@VerdantLeafeon470
I wanna say... THANK YOU, UR STEPS ARE ACCURATE !! Although hitting the right delay was tough, my counter went haywire and i was only allowed 10s to start the game after setting the clock.. I realised I may have calibrated wrongly, I took a break to calm myself from my frustration and went back to the original caliberation delay of 680 from ur video and start all over. Eventually i reached caliberation delay of 675, caliberation second of 14, target frame as usual of 5022 and target second of 36. Finally, my 3ds bestow me a shiny Cynaquil. Liked and subscribed !!

@@senpaiithicc1482 it’s not part of the process. If I remember correctly, make sure the EonTimer is set to 3DS in the settings. And after you set the time and date, start the game immediately and do your first reset while the intro is playing. Hope that helps

This RNG tool seems better and more precise than when you made your other gen 4 RNG videos. Can the RNG tool used in this video be used for all gen 4 RNG? (e.g. stationary mons)
your vids have really trained me up. Got the id on my 3rd attempt, but failed the starter. Then on the very next, nailed both. Thank you so much for making this info so accessible!
My cartridge arrived today, and the first thing I wanted to do was erase all data and start a new save with this method of ID manipulation. I can garantee that it works, pretty fast to be honest, I never downloaded anything, just followed along with Blisy second try in this video. It took me 10 to 15 attempts. By that time, I was on par with his click to set the time and was able to hit the timing for the countdowns pretty accurately. I was able to set my name in all caps and get the correct ID in like an hour. Just keep trying and focus on the timing, and you'll get it! Thanks, blisy, now I have a much appreciated shiny Cyndaquil :D
i know im a bit late to reply but do you know if im just trying to get the same trainer id as him? if im just following his 2nd attempt, how do i know ive done it successfully?
Thank you so much for making this guide! I'd never tried RNG manipulation before, but you made it look so easy that I wanted to give it a go. Now I have my shiny chikorita and cute charm shinies everywhere! I'm going to try following your guide to do the same thing in Platinum. After that, I think I'll replace the battery in my old Emerald cartridge and follow your guides for that game too! It looks a lot harder for Emerald, though so I think I'm gonna be on your channel for a looong time. Subbed! :D
@@someweirddog868 Yes, it makes it a LOT higher if you do this glitch! If you follow blisy's guide and do everything correctly, when you have a male pokemon with the Cute Charm ability at the front of your party, it'll force your next random encounter to be a female about 2/3rds of the time. Those female pokemon have a 1/5 chance of being shiny, which is WAY better than the usual 1/8,192 shiny odds. The glitch doesn't work on genderless pokemon, pokemon that have only one gender (like tauros or miltank, I think), gift pokemon, or static encounters, so you'll only be getting those really good shiny odds for random encounters :)
Emerald is fine to do manip in- the timing is a bit more precise since gen 3 is 60 fps but you don't have to worry about hitting a seed, only your advances. Only big pain is deducing your SID at the start as it's a bit trial and error. You should also look into the Pomeg glitch on gen 3 it'll let you get to the event islands if you want shiny hunt some of those pokes Funny fact about RNG on Emerald specifically is your shiny frames are identical so you can use the exact same timer to shiny hunt all legendaries
Thank you so much dude! This was my first time doing a RNG manipulation, and after about 6 hours(lol) I finally got it right! me and my brand new shiny Totodile thank you! New sub for you! i'll def be sticking around:)
I messed up the walking for cyndaquil and ended up walking to the window, turning back without a bump (either that or a very quick bump), walking to the tile left of the door, bumping the wall, and then walking through the door and I still got a shiny chikorita. Nowhere near as simple as the normal chikorita path but interesting.
Awesome tutorial! I love that the guide is self-contained and you could accomplish this without any external tools so you wish by following steps after 8:32. However, there were a few things I find confusing and would like to share my experiences with doing the "follow the video" method for anyone who decides to do the same in the future. 1. The shutting off the game mid way is not the intended action around 9:19 mark. At first, I followed the same and could never get it to work. However, after trying what happened the first time (soft reset at the sixth beep of the first set of beeps) following the timing of blisy's second time, was able to get 39771 in two tries. 2. HOWEVER, when the first set of beeps occurred, everything is still synchronized so if you did the soft reset (L, R, Shift, Start) on the sixth beep like you should have, then the timing of blisy's game still matches what the intended timing is for the eon timer as well, and you can continue follow through with the guide. 3. If you are choosing your own name and you are following Title Case instead of ALLCAPS, do NOT forget to change to UPPER like blisy has mentioned. It's obvious given it was mentioned but this could be forgotten nevertheless. 4. If you have gotten the 39771 ID and you do not wish to get a shiny starter, your work is done. You can save the game, change the clock on the 3DS, etc. and proceed as normal. 5. The initial timing when blisy pressed on the eon timer and confirming the time change is not accompanied by the beeps, so I tend to find that that is where desynchronization is most likely to occur. However, it also is the first action you need to perform, so just keep practicing until you can match the timing of confirm exactly like blisy's. If you see that the timing failed to match there, don't bother trying the rest of the steps, keep trying to confirm until you feel that your pace also matches with blisy's pace. 6. The timing is NOT very unforgiving, and blisy makes it sync up perfectly so you can follow this video exactly as it is :) For those who want the cute charm glitch, don't give up! Keep trying and best of luck, y'all got this!
One more point I forgot to mention 7. There were no strict timing requirements except for the three checkpoints: When eon timer / confirm time begins, soft resetting on the first set of beeps, pressing A on the final Oak screen on the second set of beeps. Everything else you can take at your own pace. For example, I could never keep up with the A+B mashes blisy did, but as long as you performed those three actions at the same time as blisy, you don't need to skip through the dialogue at the same pace blisy did.
@@Tttttkd 3DS, the same as his. I believe if you are not following using a 3DS, the chance of getting this goes down to effectively 0, because the other DS family comes with its own delays. You'd have to use the external tools: EonTimer, etc. at that point.
I got this to work for a shiny Chikorita in about 45 minutes! Probably helps that I'm decent at rhythm, it didn't take the couple of hours you mentioned lmao. Thanks so much for this guide!!!!
Honestly after i read your comment i actually nailed the TID. Once i saw the word rhythm, i treated eon timers beeps like a metronome. Either you’re on beat or you’re not.
So I know that this video is almost 3 years old but thank you for this video it was much quicker and more fun then soft resetting for a starter. I even got the right seed twice as I messed up the manipulation on the starter after getting the right seed
This was super easy. Took 3 tries to get TID, and I think I got so lucky with my starter, I was aiming for Totodile, so I was going to go right per the steps you said and I mistakenly went left twice, then back inside, kinda panicked, but I checked anyways and Cyndaquil was shiny!
@@imablisy I tried it with a jolly shiny ID for totodile and can not get it. I follow your steps but Titodile is not shiny. I also noticed the npc by the shield infront of the lab is moving more on my game then on your Video. Can she mess my attempt up ?
Every time I try this my seconds are like 15 off what it should be and it oscillates back and forth between 15 too much and 15 too little even if I time my reset and start perfectly.
Is the walking paths just to delay the timing for the shiny starter frame or can you save in front of the last step and go for a another spread w/Eontimer
Thanks So much for the video, took many tries and told myself that this would never work but finally did I manage to get the exact TID and SID in the video and as well as some manage to get the shiny starter first try once I finally did get the TID. Thanks for everything and Happy Holidays.
this seems to work very well! just a quick question: when doing multiple attempts at a time, would you have to continuously adjust your target seconds on eon timer? ex. first run you hit 38 seconds and increase to 37, but then when trying again with this adjustment you hit 39. would you leave your target seconds at 37 or would you go back down to 36?
Thank you very much. Playing another run though and thought I'd try this out. Never heard of this glitch/trick before. It took about an hour to learn using this video and about another hour to get the correct ID. Got Shiny Cynda 1st go. Again thank you.
tip: dont hold down start select while the game is just starting up to prepare the soft reset. it will cause a mini screen and the mini screen caused the shiny starter to not appear :') my little heart. wait till the screen shows the first credits/first dong of the bell in game audio. then you may prepare the soft reset. works great on the regular screen, thankyouuu v much for my shiny bby.
@@Haque1763 it won't go away until you have closed the game. So you would want to attempt again to get your TID and SID by going home and closing the game as soon as your screen is small instead of going through the process with the mini screen. @@prismafay702 unrelated, but i got the ID match and didnt get the shiny starter due to wrong input, does that mean i can still get 20% shinies if i transfer a male cute charmer from my plat save??
@@Haque1763 as long as you hit the correct trainer ID and the correct delay it should work with a male cute charmer. It's all about the binary codes of your TID and SID. Question: To get the shiny starter, do I need a trainer ID that is compatible with the cute charm glitch? Or can I just start the game with any normal trainer ID and follow your movements to get a shiny starter.
One quick question regarding RNGing for Shiny HGSS starters; how did you calculate the steps needed to hit their shiny frames? Was it just trial and error or is there a set number of frames you can progress each movement? (i.e. when you enter/exit Elm's lab each time.) I figured out how to generate myself a perfect IV shiny starter seed, but now I just need to figure out how to hit the shiny frame.
hello so i got my shiny starter but is there a way i can use these programs to get shiny hu-oh or wild shinies on the same save file basically without changing my id
@@imablisy edit I actually got my shiny using another method thanks to a link I got in your discord (this way you don't have to restart you ID if you get it wrong). It's actually a really interesting method 1) save in front of the machine 2) in rng reporter select method 1 and above the generate button open 4th gen timer 3) in 4th gen timer put the 490 delay, 23 seconds, and set both min/max frame for Totadile as 9, on the right side of the screen you can select the nature, gender and IV you want the Mon to be. 4) Select generate to find a a shiny seed that you like (when you click shiny only of course) 5) put that chosen seed in seed to time and for me it was 6:56 (which becomes 6:54) and your given delay. 6) below that is a box which you need to get +/- 10 frames and in the main o Box of rng reporter put all those dealys in, generate, and scroll down to frame 9 and make a list of what those genders, nature's and dealys are (so that if you don't get the shiny, you will know why delay is to update eon timer). 7) in eon timer put the usual stuff, you first countdown is to open the game, your second countdown is to open the save file. 8)mash the a button and see what Totadile you get. If it isn't shiny go to your list and find what nature and gender it is and update eon timer. Try again Note: if your target is an odd delay (or vice versa) put a GBA game in the ds to switch it round.
@@imablisy but yeah question: is the Togapi egg gift at the start in this game really impossible to rng to a shiny? According to the people on your discord it is a hard skip?
Just wanted to point out for people who don't know, You can also RNG your starters through breeding later on at the day-care in case you care about their IV's (if you want them to be shiny you'll still need to know your SID).
omg thank you! got a shiny cyndaquil on the ds lite! here is a couple of things I want to point out to everyone trying this on a ds lite: First: in eon timer, when you get a delay in pokefinder, make sure you type the delay in the delay hit box!!!! I kept typing it in the target delay box, and it was screwing everything up! Second: in pokefinder, depending on which version you have, in the seed finder section, make sure to set the time to 23:18 and NOT 11:18. Newer versions of pokefinder go by a 24 hour clock like the ds does. Any questions in regards on doing this on a ds lite, feel free to reach out!!

@@xxmansoorxx2000 with my heart gold I didn’t download anything and just went with this video and I got it! My peal version was harder to do for some reason so I downloaded everything I needed to do it
I've done this based on only the video timer successfully three times (and gotten two shinies, I messed up the Chikorita path once). It works the same for HeartGold, and the hardest part is timing the very start. I recommend listening to it and guessing based on the pause length. Youu know you hit the right time when your DS' "The time has been set" screen fades at the exact same time as his in the video.
I'd like to state that it worked for me, I got the ID within the first 30 minutes, but then I failed the steps for the shiny tot. Now I'm 3 hours in and kicking myself so hard lmfao. Thanks though, this is a really simple and straightforward video. Very easy to follow along!
Does anyone have a guide for this, but on the newest version of pokefinder? He uses 2.4 snd the most recent one is 4.0 He has different options than me, so does anyone have either a link to 2.4 or a guide on 4.0? Thanks gents
I honestly don't get it. I have no idea how I am very inconsistent with this. I've tried for about 6 hours now and can't get the TID. It's so funny because yesterday I did this no problem. I was able to get a shiny chika out of it after 2 hours and was like okay I'll restart tomorrow because I didn't want chika. I've tried for so long listening to the beeps of eon timer and i'm slowly going insane. I know at some point I'll get it and I do have the patience for this, but compared to actual shiny hunting this is very tedious if you can't even get the TID. I've switched between multiple DS's (i do know they aren't the problem) and nothing. My timing isn't off either, I've hit right when eon timer goes off and I've tried using the beeps as a metronome. Idk i guess i just need a break from this but going for hours and "messing up" is so frustrating. I've also been trying different dates and times like you said we can. but i'll just keep trying after my break.
Congratulations to those of you who got this to work. I'm struggling to get the Trainer ID. Trying to be as consistent as possible on the soft-reset on the first timer and then selecting 'A' at the last dialog from Oak, but can't seem to get it. Closest I got was the right delay for me, but was a second off. That was depressing lol.
@@lazuniga23 thanks i got it to work before reading your comment... So I’ve tried this all weekend. Followed the exact steps in the timing with the TID with Pokefinder and I keep getting 1 digit off from the Seed. Is there something I’m not doing? Or is it possible being one digit off still allows the cute charm glitch to activate
Got my little sister a shiny chikorita, her favorite. I could hunt for it normally with SRing but it would take months, and her birthday is tomorrow. Keeping the DSi charged and on the starter screen, can’t wait for her to “open” (literally open the DSi) her present!
Hey were you using a 3ds or ds? I'm on 3ds and haven't hit the correct delay once yet over the course of a few hours, just wanted to know of there was something I'm missing out on
@ I was able to do it on a 3ds (new, XL). Were you getting close on the delay? I focused on trying to use the same grip and techniques to press the buttons, so that my timing was consistent. Try not to fall in the trap of trying to improve your timing while also adjusting eontimer. Adjusting EonTimer is supposed to compensate not only for your console but also your button presses/reaction time.

i did this just now and got cyndaquil instead of totodile, did your cute charm giltch activate with cyndaquil?
My heart needs a break from all these shinies. Thank you a ton
A couple of tips for people getting stuck:
Did you use the same seed as him? Or one of the newer ones? I can only seem to find 1 initial seed instead of the three in the video
Can I still get the shiny starters part with the other two ids in the video?
I feel like you should be able to. I don't think the shiny starter is tied to the ID, but rather your timing of the frames and day/time@@VerdantLeafeon470
I wanna say... THANK YOU, UR STEPS ARE ACCURATE !!
Although hitting the right delay was tough, my counter went haywire and i was only allowed 10s to start the game after setting the clock..

It looks a lot harder for Emerald, though so I think I'm gonna be on your channel for a looong time. Subbed! :D
Does cute charm makes the % of finding shiny higher?
@@ZialShade This is amazing. I ordered HG/SS. cant wait to do it! i need a guide for something alike for xy oras and shield sword hahaha
Emerald is fine to do manip in- the timing is a bit more precise since gen 3 is 60 fps but you don't have to worry about hitting a seed, only your advances. Only big pain is deducing your SID at the start as it's a bit trial and error.
You should also look into the Pomeg glitch on gen 3 it'll let you get to the event islands if you want shiny hunt some of those pokes
Funny fact about RNG on Emerald specifically is your shiny frames are identical so you can use the exact same timer to shiny hunt all legendaries

One more point I forgot to mention
What console did you use?
@@Tttttkd 3DS, the same as his. I believe if you are not following using a 3DS, the chance of getting this goes down to effectively 0, because the other DS family comes with its own delays. You'd have to use the external tools: EonTimer, etc. at that point.
@@waynelam98 yeah i ended up hitting it on my own with the EonTimer, thanks for your comment though it was incredibly helpful

Craitze yes because of the way I planned it, it’s very easy to get cynda or chika accidentally shiny haha

Thanks for everything and Happy Holidays.
this seems to work very well! just a quick question: when doing multiple attempts at a time, would you have to continuously adjust your target seconds on eon timer? ex. first run you hit 38 seconds and increase to 37, but then when trying again with this adjustment you hit 39. would you leave your target seconds at 37 or would you go back down to 36?
same question
ever hear back about it?

Thank you very much. Playing another run though and thought I'd try this out. Never heard of this glitch/trick before. It took about an hour to learn using this video and about another hour to get the correct ID. Got Shiny Cynda 1st go. Again thank you.
tip: dont hold down start select while the game is just starting up to prepare the soft reset. it will cause a mini screen and the mini screen caused the shiny starter to not appear :') my little heart. wait till the screen shows the first credits/first dong of the bell in game audio. then you may prepare the soft reset. works great on the regular screen, thankyouuu v much for my shiny bby.
how do i get rid of the mini screen
@@Haque1763 it won't go away until you have closed the game. 3) in 4th gen timer put the 490 delay, 23 seconds, and set both min/max frame for Totadile as 9, on the right side of the screen you can select the nature, gender and IV you want the Mon to be.
4) Select generate to find a a shiny seed that you like (when you click shiny only of course)
5) put that chosen seed in seed to time and for me it was 6:56 (which becomes 6:54) and your given delay.
6) below that is a box which you need to get +/- 10 frames and in the main o
Box of rng reporter put all those dealys in, generate, and scroll down to frame 9 and make a list of what those genders, nature's and dealys are (so that if you don't get the shiny, you will know why delay is to update eon timer).
7) in eon timer put the usual stuff, you first countdown is to open the game, your second countdown is to open the save file.
8)mash the a button and see what Totadile you get. If it isn't shiny go to your list and find what nature and gender it is and update eon timer. Try again
Note: if your target is an odd delay (or vice versa) put a GBA game in the ds to switch it round.

It took me several tries to land the TID I needed, but I got the shiny Timid Totodile on the first attempt after landing the TID. Thanks a lot!
Just wanted to point out for people who don't know,
You can also RNG your starters through breeding later on at the day-care in case you care about their IV's (if you want them to be shiny you'll still need to know your SID).
do you need the ID in order for the RNG starter glitch to work?
omg thank you! got a shiny cyndaquil on the ds lite! here is a couple of things I want to point out to everyone trying this on a ds lite:
First: in eon timer, when you get a delay in pokefinder, make sure you type the delay in the delay hit box!!!!
Tysm, was wondering why I was never hitting anywhere near the right second but realised I was at 11 instead of 23 cause of ur comment
I've got the right trainer ID, but Im not getting any shinies showing up. I saved my trainer ID before leaving, but I've tried resetting a few times and am not getting anything. Should I restart from the beginning?
@@NaGoddo Yes, you messed up with saving the game cause saving advances frames which messes the shiny starter
Thank you so much! I got the it and a shiny Totodile in about 30-40 minutes. Can't believe it worked so easily
What nature was your toto?
took me a min i followed on ds lite but lemme say… blisy i love you and what youve done/doing for the community
Thanks for an awesome guide! I changed the starting date/time in mine but followed everything else exactly, it took me about an hour to hit the TID but after I did I got a shiny Chikorita first try!
Do I have to get the same 39771 trainer ID as him before I do the other steps?
@@carterpifer1948 Yes, every factor has to be the same for the RNG to match up
so i never actually intend to use these, but i love seeing what you specifically are able to figure out and do! it’s impressive, honestly!
I just hit a trainer ID of 39003 twice in a row... Still yet to get the elusive 39771
You helped me finish my Kanto and Johto living dex with this. Thank you. :)
Nice was waiting for this thank you
good luck
Great tutorial! Got the right id after 4 attempts, but failed the starter rng so I decided to try again. It took me a couple hours to get it again across a couple days, but I got fairly quick on my second day again. Failed the shiny starter rng, but also somehow didn't because while I was going for totodile, chikorita ended up being shiny instead! Not my favourite starter, but the shiny is really cute!
This was a fun experience, and your videos make me want to do more rng manipulation stuff in the future :D
Awesome video! I accidentally reset a shiny cyndaquil after over 800 resets, finding your video made my day lol
Thanks a lot ! This is amazing. I missed the shinny starter somehow, but cute charm glitch working ! You are a genius and thanks again to share that info !
Is it for male or female
Can I just use this video with my 3ds and do the exact same steps you did or do I need to download the programs on my laptop and do it myself? I’ve been trying to download the files but it won’t let me on my computer
I ain't downloading anything in the laptop I hope it works for 3ds only
@@xxmansoorxx2000 with my heart gold I didn’t download anything and just went with this video and I got it! My peal version was harder to do for some reason so I downloaded everything I needed to do it
This took me a couple tries and I finally got it.
Thank you Imablisy!
Took 7 hours cause it was my first time doing a manip, but I finally got my ID and shiny chikorita :") thank you so much for this guide blisy! ❤
Jesus the patience...
After two hours managed to get my shiny Cynda boi. Keep going people it will happen eventually!
Thank you Blisy for the easy to follow guide 😁
Guide was very clear. Got my shiny Totodile on my first try after hitting the right ID! Whole process took a little under 20 minutes. Thank you!
This is crazy , like ... how did you figure this out! This is freaking amazing 😂✨
I'd like to state that it worked for me, I got the ID within the first 30 minutes, but then I failed the steps for the shiny tot. Now I'm 3 hours in and kicking myself so hard lmfao. Thanks though, this is a really simple and straightforward video. Very easy to follow along!
Interesting, so I've tried it with the female character for my hg and had the male for ss, but the female character advances 3 extra frames.
Does anyone have a guide for this, but on the newest version of pokefinder? He uses 2.4 snd the most recent one is 4.0 He has different options than me, so does anyone have either a link to 2.4 or a guide on 4.0?
Thanks gents
My seconds are all like 10 seconds which gives me like 20 seconds to actually do anything which is impossible to get through the intro that fast
I don’t understand what he means with odd and even delay pls help me
@@machete165 i think he means if the delay you hit is an odd or even number
@@lazuniga23 thanks i got it to work before reading your comment... I would like you to know that you need different walking path for different ID... so in his method you cannot get a jolly or adamant totedile... it needs to be his exact values in oder to follow his video... well let’s get to breeding with a max stat shiny jolly/adamant ditto:-(
Do you press A/reset at the fifth beep or just milliseconds before the sixth beep?
decided to do this after getting a bunch of shinies in emerald with rng manipulation, thought it wouldnt be too bad since i had a lot of practice with eon timer and pokefinder. took me two hours to get the right tid and got my shiny totodile first try, so thank you so much!!
Got my ID, but messed up my shiny starter. NOT doing it again for the starter...! Got the same ID in Pearl and HG. :D
I'm constantly hitting the right seconds woth a different delay. I'll update my delay hit and have no where near enough time. What am i doing wrong to keep hitting the wrong delay?
I feel dumb 🤦🏾♂️ i was missing him soft reset during the second game launch.😅 got it first time once i noticed
Does this work on The DS lite? Or just 3ds
Thanks so much for this tutorial! I was slowly losing my sanity soft-resetting for a shiny starter, and thanks to this I finally got my shiny Totodile ^^ He's also got a few shiny buddies thanks to the Cute Charm Glitch, lol
(BTW, if anyone's struggling-I spent a few hours on and off trying to follow along with the video with no luck, but once I downloaded all the software myself and followed the steps I managed it on my second attempt ^^ Also, if you get the wrong Trainer ID, I'd recommend practicing the movements you'll need instead of resetting immediately 👍)
So I’ve tried this all weekend. Followed the exact steps in the timing with the TID with Pokefinder and I keep getting 1 digit off from the Seed. Is there something I’m not doing? Or is it possible being one digit off still allows the cute charm glitch to activate
Also want to add I’ve gotten an even delay as well as landing on the 39 second mark
I got it then i messed up the cybdaquil steps now its not working anymore😢
Got my little sister a shiny chikorita, her favorite. I could hunt for it normally with SRing but it would take months, and her birthday is tomorrow. Keeping the DSi charged and on the starter screen, can’t wait for her to “open” (literally open the DSi) her present!
Awesome!
Thank you so much for this guide. I got my TID/SID in about 6 attempts and got my shiny Cyndaquil first try!
