I think in the books only higher vampires have the ability to blend in with humans. Even the bruxa in the books was clearly not human just by physical appearance and demeanor even when trying to appear human
I've often wondered whether all the Vampire species are from the same planet, like is there a world out there in the universe/multiverse were carnivores evolved a taste for blood rather than meet? Is the Fledder like a Lion, and are Bruxae to Higher Vampire's what Neanderthals were to Homo Sapiens?
