  • Today I'm sharing how to find the perfect jeans. These are tips everyone should learn to find jeans that are flattering, long lasting and versatile. I've linked some of my own personal jeans below and thanks so much for watching! xx Audrey
    WHAT I'M WEARING:
    Ruffle Shirt: Sezane, from earlier this year similar here
    Navy Sweater: Everlane
    Signet Ring: Ruffs Signet Rings www.ruffs.co.uk/ *gifted after being on my wish list for years. Highly recommend for signets. I wear mine every day
    Earrings: Vintage
    Stacking Ring: GLDN *gifted
    MY FAVORITE JEANS: I’m 5’3” 26inch waist, 37 inch hips. Most of my height is in my legs and I have a shorter torso. I typically wear a size 24, 26, 00, 0 or 2 in bottoms. All of the inseams on my pants and jeans are between 26.5 - 28.5 inches with a 10-12 inch rise
    LEVIS bit.ly/2qUkOQG I have a pair of 100% cotton white Levi's and a pair of 100% cotton Levi's 501 CTs that are still perfect after 5+ years
    AGOLDE bit.ly/357tcuO I have these and these bit.ly/35aViFt and these bit.ly/2qhfDKE
    EVERLANE bit.ly/2NQgsTv I was gifted these in light blue bit.ly/2CJYDPM that are sadly sold out but worth waiting for a restock and these bit.ly/2KtUcgq in blue and these in black bit.ly/2OeRfkV both bought by me
    CASASOLA bit.ly/357jZmg I have these bit.ly/2qk12Ot that I bought in the Net-A-Porter sale and I love them
    MOTT & BOW bit.ly/2pnqS3P I was recently gifted these bit.ly/33S5W3X and I love them! I'm having them shortened and then I'll share them more
    *FOR REFERENCE: I’m 5’3” or 160cm & my measurements are bust: 26x36 inches I typically wear xxs-xs in tops, waist: 25-26 inches typically a 24-25 in jeans and a 0-2 in pants, 37” hips. Weight: typically 105-110 lbs

    Finding the right rise is SO important--I can attest to this! When I was in my teens (early 2000s), low rise jeans were on trend (and practically the only style available in mass market stores), and that rise does me absolutely no favors, as I'm pear-shaped with a long torso and shorter legs. High rise jeans and pants (with a high enough rise, too--I prefer ~12" when I can find it) have been a god-send. They look so much more flattering, give me the proportions I like on myself, and--most importantly--make my pants WAY more comfortable since they sit properly on my body.

      I am the opposite, short torso, so the current high rise popularity means 90 percent of the jeans out there make my torso look ridiculously short compared to my legs, and are also uncomfortable for me. If only rises were not a trend but readily available as sizes to fit all shapes..

    • @CT1010101
      @CT1010101 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I finally saw someone who looks good in low rise jeans! I assumed they were universally unflattering, but no! She has a straight, slim silhouette without a defined waist and the low rise looked great on her. But I think for a lot more people, high rise is more flattering.

    • @leopardandlion4131
      @leopardandlion4131 ปีที่แล้ว

      Same here! I never knew the amazing-ness of high rise jeans until I was in my 30s when they came into fashion and I will NEVER go back to struggling with low or mid rises!!

    Wow! Until you pointed it out, I would never have noticed what a difference a shortened zipper can make. From this point forward, I’ll be checking to make sure the zipper goes down far enough. The zip that extends nearer the crotch looks much neater & more polished.

    Very informative. I learned a lot! I would like to add also that for those of us who want our jeans to have a more slimming effect, long jeans are a far better option than cropped. Cropped jeans cut the leg length visually and make short, plump people look shorter and plumper. :)

    Excellent video. I like all of the jeans in your wardrobe. I've recently purchased some higher rise jeans and find them not only more comfortable but more figure flattering (they hide my tummy).

      @@lo4568 Honestly the jeans that I found that fit me the best are from Old Navy and since I'm 5'3 I buy the short ones not the regular ones and they hit just right.
