he actually got me outa bed. some of these others videos don't take into consideration that we are in bed in pain. this is so light and easy, andI feel a better on the first day trying. thank you.
Awesome video. Keeping the muscles in the knees is crucial for OA. These are great tips too. For managing osteoarthritis: 1. **Stay Active:** Engage in low-impact exercises to maintain joint flexibility and strength. 2. **Manage Weight:** Maintain a healthy weight to reduce stress on weight-bearing joints. 3. **Use Joint Protection Techniques:** Be mindful of joint movements and avoid excessive stress. Use assistive devices if needed. 4. **Hot and Cold Therapy:** Apply heat or cold packs to ease pain and reduce inflammation. 5. **Medications:** Consult with a healthcare professional for pain relief and anti-inflammatory medications if necessary. 6. **Physical Therapy:** Work with a physical therapist to develop a tailored exercise program and improve joint function. 7. **Balanced Diet:** Consume a well-balanced diet with anti-inflammatory foods like fruits, vegetables, and omega-3 fatty acids. 8. **Joint Supplements:** Discuss with your healthcare provider about the potential benefits of supplements like glucosamine and chondroitin. Always consult with your healthcare team for personalized advice and treatment options.
Thank you for engaging with the content and sharing your comprehensive approach to managing osteoarthritis (OA). You've highlighted some essential strategies, from staying active to the importance of a balanced diet. It's great to see a holistic perspective that includes both physical therapies and lifestyle adjustments. As always, these suggestions should be tailored to individual needs in consultation with healthcare professionals. Your input is a valuable addition to the conversation about OA management.
Thank you very much for this information. These exercises are really working on my knees I could not walk before but after I watched and did the exercise at the same time.it just likes magic I could walk right away after I finished the exercise. thank you again and a million thanks.
Thank you. Great information. I do wish you would have also had someone who really was challenged with knee issues as well. To see what the exercise looks like if one can do it fully and then with someone who actually has limited mobility. Example: Bridge pose (pelvic raise). I can't lift my hips up more than a half inch right now.(even though 3 years ago I could do the pelvic raise and grasp my ankles). Another example would be the last one. If one cannot hover over the chair at first, one could do "stand up sit down". After practicing stand up sit down with hands on opposite shoulders and engaging the gluten and quads, then one could move on to a more advanced way...like you have in the video. It would just be nice to see both: ideal and modification. But I will incorporate these in my PT excersice program...thank you again
Thanks for the Video. I have had Osgood-Schlatter Disease in my right knee since 2001 and workouts like lunges and squats aggravate the condition enough to cause lasting pain. Keeping it mobile without over-exertion is exactly what I need!
Thank you so much for this information! It is so helpful to have both of you in this video: Dr. Evangelos Mylonas explains what is happening and Micki does the actual exercise. I find it much easier to follow what is going on this way compared to the videos where the person who is doing the exercise is also the one who is explaining what to do.

Thanks for this video. It is clear and instructive. Just what I needed to know. These movements can substitute for some exercises in group classes that have been too vigorous and causing pain in my knees! Yay!
Hi Doris: I can not make recommendations on specific cases without doing an examination. I recommend seeing your practitioner and ask them what exercises are appropriated for your case. Cheers!
Very informative and helpful.. I started today 27 Jan 2017. I will do it at the least 5 times a week. I have osteoarthritis.. reducing weight my priority and these exercises would balance my movement. Thank you..
While cycling indeed offers numerous health benefits, it does not encompass the full spectrum of movements or advantages provided by the exercises outlined in our osteoarthritis knee routine video. The routine includes "Knee Mobilization" at 01:12, "Quadricep Contraction" at 02:27, "Prone Knee Flexion" at 03:15, "Pelvic Raise" at 04:15, "Hamstring Stretch" at 05:25, and "Partial Squat" at 06:22. These specific exercises are designed to target different aspects of knee health, which cycling alone may not fully address.
@@kinetichealthonline Thanks man, do knee supports help? And does Osteoarthritis mean permanent lifelong pain? Cheers

Hi there, thank you so much for this video and your input !❤ just wanted to ask how to get rid of the cracking sound while lifting my post failed ACL with allograft using tunnel technique op knee up? It seems like I have muscle imbalance because of the wrecked nerves under fibula bone ( peroneal neuropathy at the distal of biceps femoris) during the surgery that developed into a peripheral neuropathy. I am doing all I can: squats but can't do leg extension exercises to build the quads. I can use a stationary bike and swim a bit , but hear cracking. I am using collagen and other supplements. Any suggestions? Thank you!
Thank you for watching, and for sharing your experience and concerns. Your situation indeed appears to be complex, involving multiple interconnected factors related to post-surgical recovery, muscle imbalance, nerve issues, and your specific exercise routine. Unfortunately, it's beyond my ability to offer individualized advice without a comprehensive examination of your unique situation. The intricate details you've described require the insights and expertise of a healthcare professional who can evaluate you in person. I encourage you to consult with a local practitioner, possibly one with specialization in sports medicine or orthopedics. They can thoroughly assess your condition, considering the surgical procedure you've undergone, and the specific challenges you're facing, such as the cracking sound and muscle imbalances. Wishing you the very best on your journey to full recovery. Cheers!
Very good video with great demo and precise instructions. I am putting this into practice and hope to strengthen muscles around knee to gain great mobility. Thanks.

Hello, my knees have never been very strong, but since I moved to Japan, the humidity have been affecting my knees more than before. It is now the rainy season and my knees have been hurting more than ever. I hope this video will help me. Thank you so much!! 6/15/18
I love dancing but lately my ankles knees and hips are starting to feel it and I'm 60 but I don't want to stop dancing yet so hopefully these exercises will help
Yes you are correct, we have updated our information since making this video. "There is a strong held belief by many that “the knees should never go over the toes” when squatting. This belief is false and possibly stems from misinterpretation of a study conducted by Fry et al. (2003). This study looked at joint torques at the hip and knee joint during squatting and assessed how torque values changed with restricted forward travel of the knee. Results from the study showed that squatting with a restricted forward knee movement decreased knee torque values by about 20%; however, it’s important to understand that limiting forward knee travel actually shifts the stress from the knees to the hips and low back" www.talltreephysio.ca/blogs/knees-over-toes These exercises are great, but the comment needed to be revised. Cheers!
Great excersices! But with the seated hamstring stretch, why do you want to make a dorsalflexion in the ankle? Doesn't that increase the change on neural stretch in stead of hamstring stretch?
thanks for sharing.. I love dancing but not doing it since 3 yrs now.. I am diagonised wd osteoarthritis in the age of 27 yrs.. I am really afraid tht by doing any kind of exercise or dancing I will damage my knee..but not anymore.
I broke my leg at age 21 and felt some pain for some time but resumed running despite it. Now, at 23, I'm feeling arthritic pain. I really hope this helps too
Sounds like you need to a see a doctor in your area. Sorry, but I cannot make comments on individual cases without first doing a thorough examination. Cheers
Beverly I have been having the same problems , so I went to the Dr. and yes l have osteoarthritis and torn meniscus in my knees. He recommend to get injections in my knee so I paused on that went to physically therapy ,talk with a few people I was told it works only about six months or less so it's an on going procedure ...anyway my sister end up having surgery and she's fine knees are great ...but on the other hand I like to walk alot which helps didn't have the injections or surgery done yet trying to lose a little weight first .
No it's not usually normal for 16 year olds to get osteoarthritis. If you are getting concerned, especially if there is pain go see your doctor. Sorry I can't make comment on your individual case without examining you. Cheers
Nice! All the exercises are known by me. They're really useful. BUT... my orthopedist forbade me doing exercises in the standing position... Nothing in the standing position...! Sitting and lying only!

Hi, what happens if your knee makes noises as you pull it towards you with the towel? Do you just do it anyways?
I not usually concerned about noises, if there is no pain with the noise. If there is you should have it examined by a practitioner. Cheers!
