This is one of my favorites in the OST. It’s so peaceful and holy, totally encapsulates the exhausted sense of calm and peace after defeating a boss. You did it, you conquered the guardian- rest now, vessel. You’ve earned it.

      Narinder, is that you?

I will gladly get some rest.

For me, this radiates the same sadness as the bishops felt apon discovering leshy's corpse in his own temple. Heket seems the most distraught from how she interacts with the lamb. She's also the only one who mentions another bishop after their death. Also, to think about the very little we know about them, to see them die with said info in mind. You think that if we knew more about them, at least some of us might feel more bad for them?

      No.
They are masters of blood, hate and suffering. They rise to power through subjugation. Monsters, too, may be born with kin whom they love, but they are no less the monsters for it. The Bishops deserve their fates.

The only one that really gave me pause was Shamura.
Yeah, they're an oppressive, vengeful god, I don't like them, but they had this greater sense of reflection and loss to their lore that at least made me sympathize with them.
They're the only one where we get a sense that they are no longer the person they once were after chaining Narinder, like we're seeing a shallow husk of what Shamura once was after something was irreperably taken from them and that thing has haunted them for centuries.
Killing the other Bishops felt like giving them something they deserved, Shamura felt like they were waiting for someone to kill them and it really fucked with me.

The four Bishops. Leshy, Heket, Kallamar, Shamura. Once leaders of their faithful, Gods. Merciless Gods. Prophecies are bound to happen. Yet, they hunted Lamb and their kin, and took their lives in the name of... Their own power. Hapless leshy, cowardly Kallamar, temperamental Heket, and Shamura, once the brightest of five. And Narinder, bound below.
Dang, I really went overboard with this didn't I?

@@Cobalt360Degrees Shamura really gave the feeling that they were weighed down with regret. They and Narinder clearly got along well before The One Who Waits was sealed away, going by Narinder's comments post-game (if you let him live), and Shamura blames themself for introducing the concept of change to the death god. Most of their speeches to the Lamb seem more like confessions, trying to explain why they betrayed their brother. They know their brain injury, sustained during the struggle to seal Narinder, has partly ruined their mind and memory, leading to their repetitions in speech as they forget what they've told the Lamb already. Lastly, their prophet visions have let them know that they, and their fellow Bishops, are all guaranteed to die on the Lamb's blade, and nothing will change that fate.
The fact that Narinder gets very quiet when the Lamb reminds him of Shamura, instead of insulting their memory like he does with Heket and Kallamar (though he does compliment Leshy), gives even more weight. Shamura hated what they had to do to Narinder, and Narinder seems to regret that Shamura had to perish for him to escape his prison.

One thing ive thought about is how the lamb creating a cult was a big part of the bishops lives, imagine this person starts a cult trying to bring you and your siblings religion down, and then they kill one of the bishops, (your sibling). Weeks later, another dies and its just you and the other bishop, fearing for your life, trying to think up a plan. This continues until five becomes four becomes three becomes two becomes one becomes.. nothing.
