I'm sorry but my nerd brain lit up when you said this. Not only would that make sense, aside from the hearing as only the outer most of his ears were torn off at most some nerve damaged happened and he has tinnitus, But also the song plays into the lore of Kallamar. The chanting is him singing/trying to voice his true opinion of not wanting anything to do with this but later on the song keeps cutting him off as he stays quiet. Which both would represent not only his wants being outclassed by what the other bishops wanted, but also how us as the player keep ignoring his request to be left alone as we get closer and closer to his demise.

Because I had a surplus of followers I went to Anchordeep not realizing that I should have gone to Anura and the difficulty spike made me switch fleeces REAL quick. I didn't realize I went out of order until someone told me finishing the game

the vocals are on the beat, try to count along with the tempo. it's got a 2 bar pattern. 6 whole notes then two whole rests. the swingy feel is from the syncopated groove of the drums. edit: transcribed the drum beat: dotted half, quarter, whole rest, dotted half, dotted half, half.
For an underwater area, this is insanely fire! Different speeds are good too, 1.5x sounds like a chase scene, but 0.75 sounds like a meditation ritual.

I remember disliking this track because it made me legit confused 😂. My mind was thrown off by the vocals and instruments. Then I put headsets and my roommate laughed at me for dancing with my switch until she heard the track 😂. Now we groove together.
