Thank You Gents. I think having good Lads like you, clueing people up on particularly the safety elements of gun ownership is excellent. The environment you say your facilities have sounds like the channels I’d want to proceed with.
Self defense is legal in South Africa. But there is a difference between self defense and gun ownership. The need to defend yourself is not an automatic entitlement to own a gun. Same way the need to drive a car in an emergency situation (like driving a dying person to the hospital) does not mean you should be allowed to own a car. What I'm trying to say is, regardless of whether you have a gun license or not, when it comes to defending your life... you can use any gun for self defense. If there happens to be a gun laying around while someone is shooting at you, you have the right to use that gun to defend yourself. But when it comes to owning your own personal gun that will belong to you personally, it is not a right. So even if you lawfully defend yourself with a gun but the gun is not legally owned, you will not be penalized to harshly for defending yourself but the judge is going to be harsh on you for owning a weapon illegally. So you might avoid a murder charge, but you may get a manslaughter charge and also get banned from applying for a gun license.
@@angrysocialjusticewarrior To me, there is no difference between the two, the government permission slip means absolute zilch, nada, nothing. Hi there Gwakie 🙂, we strive to always deliver on our full money-back guarantee (we have been very successful thus far) and therefore we draft such large comprehensive motivations. SAPS has a long list of reasons why they can refuse an applicant, so our mission is to block each and every one of those reasons. While a 40 to 70 page motivation might sound excessive, we make sure that we cover all bases 💪

Busy looking at the Canik range but stuck on a choice for my EDC between the Mete SC and the Glock 19 Gen5 MOS, I know all the glock Fanbois will say Glock due to parts, reliability etc, but I'm actually wanting to purcahse 2 of the Mete SC Firearms, one for me and one for my partner.
Hi everyone! I'm a newbie here and don't know much about guns. Should I start with proficiency training or Natshoot? I'm really into hunting and love rifles, a passion I inherited from my late father. He let me shoot a pellet gun, which was thrilling. He had about five guns, including a World War II sniper rifle, which he eventually turned in. I'm eager to get into sport hunting ofcoz safety for my family.
I have a question. I'm a 29-year-old male and I really want a firearm for home defense, but my problem is that literally, my whole family is anti-gun. If the police phone my next-of-kin (or any family member for that matter), there is no way that they will give their thumbs up. Is this always the case?
Hi there Marco 😁, a competency certificate will expire after 5 years if you have not licensed any firearms after obtaining your SAPS-issued competency. If you were only issued a Section 13 licence, you would simply renew your competency each time you renew your firearm licence. For the guys who have licensed firearms under Section 15, competency would be renewed every 10 years. If you work in the private security industry, it is also a good rule of thumb to renew your competency 5 years after the issue date. I hope this helps! 🤘
I have a friend who's dad had various licenses for pistol, rifle, shotgun, and who subsequently passed away. Is it possible for him to get the guns transferred to him by doing a new application for them? Is there any difference to the process in the case the licenses have expired? Thank you
Hi there @on_the_saddle 😁your friend would be able to apply for these firearms, should he complete the steps of obtaining his proficiency certificates and applying for his competency. SAPS has confirmed that if the licence holder has passed, and the firearm licences were not renewed before the holder passed, a new applicant may still hand in applications for those firearms. The executor/administrator of the deceased's estate would simply have to sign the SAPS 271 forms 👌
I handed in my pistol at SAPS before Covid because my licence expired. SAPS eventually send my pistol for destruction. 1. Can I challenge SAPS for distructing my pistol. 2. My friend is in possession of the exact pistol like i had and his licence also expired and he wants to get rid of it, so can i buy his gun and licence it.
Just a question from a guy who knows nothing. Does anyone know the legalities of having a "truck gun"? i.e. a semi auto rifle that you keep in your car "just in case"
Hi there Ian 😁 , you can apply for any semi-automatic rifle such as an AK or AR-15 should you follow the correct process (Proficiency, Competency, achieving your Dedicated Status, and finally Licensing). You are allowed to transport any firearm in a bag, box or holder/holster which has been designed or adapted to carry that firearm - you may also use that firearm for self defence, should there be an imminent and unlawful attack against human life. However, the firearm cannot be exposed (firearms have to be fully concealed in any public space) and the firearm may not be left in your vehicle when you are not present 👍

So after your done with all the three steps until you get your firearm can you carry everyday and be an active firearm owner.? And also can my three steps be approved if I don't have a safe box in my household.?
You must have a safe in your house, the police will need to see pics
Is there a way to counteract impersonators when my device is requested during a stop
I am now here
Is it possible to buy a hand gun from the foreign country?
Do you mean, buy the firearm in the US and bring it to SA? I dont think it's allowed. It has to be bought via an approved firearm dealership in SA
@@greymanoperations yes i meant that thank you so much 🌹
I believe all we need is to have a valid ID ,no criminal record and no psychological issues to be able to buy atleast a handgun
Those are the minimum requirements yes
Hi I handed in my motivation at my local police station, and I read somewhere that I'm supposed to have 2 copies of my ID, but I only have 1 copy in my motivation. Will this be an issue ?
Howzit, Hows your reliability been on the TP9 if you dont mind me aasking ?
Don't know who did the subtitles, but every time they say Rand ( South African currency), subtitles says grand. Please ignore.😊
I have a question. I'm a 29-year-old male and I really want a firearm for home defense, but my problem is that literally, my whole family is anti-gun. If the police phone my next-of-kin (or any family member for that matter), there is no way that they will give their thumbs up. Is this always the case?

Still waiting for handgun licence in south africa since 2021

Does a competency expire for business or personal... Because mine just has the date of issue nothing else
OMG what the hell... here in America its so different... a Concealed Carry good for 5 years with FBI ck takes 2 months max.
Got mine from competency to license in five months.
The executor/administrator of the deceased's estate would simply have to sign the SAPS 271 forms 👌
afternoon I've lost my left leg just underneat the hip Otherwise I'm 100 % Will I be able to get a firearm license Thanks for all the advise Carl
So basically i need how much?

I applied for a firearm licence from 2021 till now

@@gunlicence appreciate it, thank you
