Sometimes I don't understand how someone can get arrested for using a lethal weapon for self defense because protecting yourself, your family, your friends, etc should be everyone's first instinct when it comes to danger.
Once again great and valuable information, as a person who is applying for my first personal defense firearm, this is really what I need to know.. also as a victim of a home invasion, were i was the "first responder" and unfortunately I was shot but luckily survived the incident and my family as well..thank you..👊🏽
In the event that an individual engages in the act of discharging a firearm in self-defense against a criminal, resulting in a life-threatening situation ,will law enforcement detain you and then follow the bail process?
Thank you Ryan and Mark. Started with the previous video. One can never know too much about this stuff. Keep up the excellent work. What a laugh out loud moment at 14:50 😄
Thanks for the great show. Question came to me, if attackers enter my home and a warning shot goes off and the attackers run away, what happens if they go and open a case of me shooting at them? Is that something that has happened before?
My fellow gun owner, in my experience as a fire arm owner since the mid 80s, I discovered that there is no such thing as a "warning shot" you are liable to be charged for "Discharging a firearm within a municipal area or citi limits, andangering innocent peoples lives, etc ". You will face about 15 charges for the discharge of that single round. Rather be careful to fire a so-called warning shot, your defence incase it does happen can only be a accidental discharge in preparation of firing at the perpetrator. Remember and keep in mind where your backstop is and be able to show SAPS where it is.
I'm not a gun owner but seriously considering it hence doing a search and coming across this awesome channel. Keep it up, Ryan...this is very informative. I hope to be in contact with Mark and co in the near future.
Awesome Awesome Information! I've had a bit of an idea what to do in such a situation but still always learn from each video that I watch on your channel! Thanks for the content!
Great content as always Ryan. What’s your advice on self defence classes in DURBANVILLE. I’m looking at Elite defence Academy or Truekrav. Any other suggestions?
Very informative 😎🤝 Also Is the carol stasie a gun free or firearm free zone for civilians? My firearm is always on my person, so what happens when I go to collect license cards and also apply for other licenses
Hey Atish, Not quite sure what a carol stasie is... however, a gun free zone must have been officially declared by the minister, therefore, most places that have that "no guns allowed" sticker on the door, are in fact not gun free zones.
Thanks guys, very informative! Let's say you've lawfully defended yourself and/or your family using your firearm, the threat is neutralized and you've contacted the necessary people ie your legal advisor, SAPS etc. Knowing that when the SAPS arrive they will temporarily confiscate your firearm, can you legally dismantle your pistol for example and remove a certain mechanism to prevent it from working so that the chance of that firearm being "lost in the system" doesn't happen because it doesn't work. My fear is, and I've seen it happen, sometimes you never see that firearm again even if you weren't charged with any, the gun just disappears. I know its a slightly grey question (excuse the pun) and might require a more in depth explanation on another platform but that's always been a concern of mine. Thanks again and keep up the good work!
I can imagine being in your house and shouting at an unknown number of home invaders to leave your property. Great! now they know your location and can surround you.
@gunlicence I was disappointed after i chose to do everything through you guys about 2 years ago when I was told you only have a branch in cape town only
