Would someone help me out? I am going to meet someone to buy a 2011 Toyota Camry with the 4 cyl. I’ve heard through many people that it has several issues can be quite expensive considering the great oil consumption issue... should I buy this car?
I think people expect a car to never have a problem. The average modern car has over 30 thousand parts. You cannot expect not to have at least one problem during the life span of the car. Every car has its problems.
One thing to note that might be incorrect in this video is regarding the A/C not working due to the failed Flow Sensor. On the 4cyl engine the A/C flow sensor is mounted on the outside of the compressor, and it can be replaced without removing the refrigerant. The Toyota compressors are all very similar, so it likely is the same on the 6cyl too. Only issue is location, getting down to the compressor without disturbing the a/c lines is the hard part. On my Scion tC (same 4cyl engine as the camry) I had to drain the coolant, remove the upper grill, the upper rad hose, remove the upper and front radiator support and the hood latch just so I could push the radiator a few inches forward to make enough space to get down to the compressor and sensor. And by the way, a simple test for a failed ac flow sensor is to put a magnet on it. Get a magnet on a telescopic stick and touch the sensor with it. If the ac suddenly starts blowing out ice cold air, the sensor is likely the problem.
My 2012 4 cyl Camry with 176K miles has to be one of the most reliable cars ever built. I've had no major issues other than needing a new fuel pump at about 160K.

My 2017 Toyota camry le gets poor gas mileage and I have never cleaned or changed the air fuel ratio upstream under the hood and the throttle. It has been a year since anybody has worked on these two problems. No codes! Thank you, Larry

There needs to be a class action lawsuit over those damn torque converters in the U series 6 speed transmissions. It's not just the 2012-14 camrys affected by this problem, the 2015-17 years suffer from it as well. Toyota didn't even bother to issue a recall but only a technical service bulletin, and don't wan't to acknowledge that it's even an issue on the later years. It's not like its a cheap fix and can even be a safety issue as the transmission doesn't shift right. My 2016 has the problem, I have tried everything, changed the transmission fluid, taken it to the dealer multiple times and complained and they wont admit there is a problem. Toyota should be held accountable for their mistakes. This shouldn't be a problem, especially from a car maker so "legendary" for it's reliabilty.
I heard Toyota upgraded the Torque Converter for the later models. Sorry to see that didn't help the issue. I would write a complaint on carcomplaints or some other site. If the miles are low enough on your vehicle, you could also get in contact with the Toyota Area Service Manager.
I have a 2016 Camry that has 140 k miles and just had to replace transmission at 6100 dollars. Not too happy. Couldn’t get any answers either. But it was either fix it or get another car. Since I bought the car new I decided to fix it. But thinking of trading now
When you have to change a GM fuel pump 8x in 3 years (you have to drop the tank each time btw) because the ones 1A auto and other aftermarket retailers sell you fails within 6 months or less - then you can talk to me about “Toyota Problems”.. went Toyota and never looking back.. I might look laterally to Honda one day.. but that’ll be the extent. They’ve officially earned my lifetime business.

Everything else pretty much basic like tires, alignment, headlights etc. Now I'm fixin to replace both headlights assemblies because of the stuff on the lenses. Other than that my baby still runs as good as it did when purchased new. I had a 2013 Camry SE. Fortunately I never had any of these problems. By biggest concern about that car was that it had a very stiff suspension and rode like a lumber wagon and I always found the 2.5L engine noisy. Traded it for a 2018 Rav4 & very happy with that.
Yeah, the SE has a “sport tuned” suspension. Stupid if you ask me, why would you want a sporty family sedan? Toyota should’ve at least advertised the suspension tuning better.
Misfires are bad for catylictic converters. This is why the check engine light flashes once per second. Cats have a high temp shell and a ceramic grid inside washed with expensive noble metals. Misfire allow raw fuel to enter and they get real hot. Once this happens, the ceramic grid can moves, chunks break off, pieces turn sideways and restrict exhaust flow. So, not only does the original root problem need repaired, not you need a catalytic converter that sized right with pre & post O2 sensors spaced the same distance as before. Many aftermarket cats are too small for a 6 cylinder car but work great on a 4 cylinder. They hold oxygen until the fuel mixture goes rich, then release this to allow gases to burn off before leaving the tailpipe. Changes to fuel pump design, O2 sensor design, heating sensors, and variable valve timing could perform well but act like “EGR” with late intake valve closing. Plus, each component is checked by the “Engine Control Module” by using Electrical checks once started or under road speed conditions and some are turned on when not needed to measure a result to make sure the function right. The “ECM/PCM” is a busy guys after a cold start and had to operate the engine. If a separate control module is used for the transmission it is an “ECM”. If it controls both, then it’s call a “PCM”. Purchased a 2015 XSE V6 with 60k miles,I’ve put 40k miles on it and haven’t had any problems at all yet, fingers crossed the check engine gods keep smiling on me lol
My 2011 2.5 SE has been very reliable, bought it new and now has 119k only issue I have had has been 02 sensors so far. Yes she does use oil which is a slight issue considering my 09 Nissan never used any oil with a 155k but the trans sucks it slips.
Blake, happy to help out in anyway we can! If your lexus starts giving you more issues, make sure to check out our site for quality, affordable auto parts: www.1aauto.com/search?q=lexus+es350
Be careful when replacing coil pack number five in a Lexus ES 350 6 cylinder. There is a sensor back there that a lot of people break the wire by mistake.
2017 Camry leaking water passenger side floor interior! Caused by air conditioning hose clogged and not being able to drain water. Apparently debris got inside from vent. Created a major problem. Over $1000 for dealership to repair. Horrible! I guess I have to prevent all debris from entering vent! Filter had less than 10,000 miles on it. Not covered by manufacture warranty.
2011 Camry 238K. Bad driver rear wheel bearing at 164K and 1 of the belt tensioners at 234K. I changed them both while I had the other off. Been almost bullet proof.
This is over exaggerated,I’ve worked at toyota Lexus since 09’ and we see less than I’d say 2% of people coming in for the problems he describes. If vehicle has over 100,000 it’s normal wear and tear. This video makes it sound like it’s a problem what BS I can list so much more with chev, gmc, ford, Volvo, subaru, Volkswagens. Oh he says at end these r minor problems, this is still an amazing vehicle lol.
@@chbobby8382 More of an annoyance. I haven't seen, nor heard of the AR2-FE (the 4 cyl) engine experiencing an actual part failure. I had mine replaced and it still does it, lol.
I have two 2015 Camrys. Only problem I’ve had is play in the power steering. Was a result of a weak battery on both vehicles. Play on power steering is very noticeable after making a turn onto another road. Hopefully this helps. No codes showing.
I had a 2014 Camry same body style he is working on. I bought it pre owned had nothing but issues with it. My previous car was a 2010 Chevy Impala that I kept. She was more reliable than my '14 Camry. Finally traded 2014 last year for a 2018 Camry. This one makes some weird sounds at times. Dealership claims that the injectors are just trying to adjust that's just how the newer Camry's are. Test drove another trim level Camry same year and it did not do that. I can never get my alignment right on the car so they believe its something internal with the new lane keepers asst system in the steering wheel they say that they need to take apart Quality of these newer cars suck anymore...lol and mine was made in Japan!
I've had a 2012 Camry for about 6 months and just today on my way to work I started getting a low, growling/grinding sound coming from my air vents. Freaked me right out. Dunno what it is
I just learned an easy test to see if your catalytic converter is shot buy $35 or borrow a temp gun. Take a reading as exhaust enters cat and after leaving.
I'm curious if the 4-cylinder engine has the same problem with the camshaft solenoids and water pump issues. generally I've heard the four cylinder engines are more reliable.
So what about the 2012-2014 Torque Converter problems with the 6-speed 4-cyl model? There was a TSB issued for this problem and the fix is a Firmware Flash. Toyota also upgraded the Torque Converter for later models.
I'm wondering whether anyone has considered doing cosmetic upgrades to the Toyota Camry Atara R or RZ ASV50R to make it look more upmarket? Given that they built on the Toyota K Platform, I'm wondering whether it would make sense to use Lexus ES 300h XV60 or Lexus ES350 XV60 as a basis for cosmetic upgrades? Upgrades potentially include the following (depending on what can be obtained aftermarket, by the way, does anyone know of any quality aftermarket products that hopefully incorporate multiple functions into one device, hence reducing dashboard clutter): • Alert - Rear Cross Traffic (when reversing) • Alert/Warning - Collision Forward -- Potential Aftermarket solution is the Navman MIVUE860DC TYRE Dash Cam • Blind Spot Sensor - Parkmate PTS-440BSD Sensor Front & Rear Blind Spot Detection System, Mongoose MBSW4 SURFACE MOUNT MODEL, • Brake Emergency Display - Hazard/Stoplights • Control - Crash Avoidance with Braking (Low spd) • Control - Pedestrian Avoidance with Braking • Lane Departure Warning - Potential Aftermarket solution is the Navman MIVUE860DC TYRE Dash Cam or Parkmate PTS-440BSD Sensor Front & Rear Blind Spot Detection System • Parking Assistance - Graphical Display • Park Distance - Front & Rear - Steelmate PTSV810 Front & Rear PARKING SENSOR KIT 8-SENSOR KIT, Pioneer Reverse Sensor Kit for Smartphone Multimedia Tuner - ND-PS1, Kemax Reversing Camera & Parking Assist Sensor Kit, Powertrain 4.3in. Reversing Camera With Sensors, PARKMATE REAR PARKING ASSIST SYSTEM WITH AUDIBLE ALERT • LED Headlights • Daytime Running Lamps - LED • High Beam Auto Dipping • Rain Sensor (Auto wipers) • Power - Tailgate/Boot • Digital Radio Receiver (DAB+) • Colour Display Screen - Front • Digital Instrument Display - Partial • Tyre Pressure Sensor -- Potential Aftermarket solution is the Navman MIVUE860DC TYRE Dash Cam Additional aftermarket upgrades: Heads up Display that shows speed, GPS directions (like the HUD in the Citroen DS5), Reverse Camera would be fantastic
Just curious i have a 17 camry se 4cyl. Should I keep my oil level between the two holes or right at the top hole? I try to get it as close to the tip hole as possible without going above it. About 4.5 to 4.7 qrts is what the recommends at the most oil. I do 4.7 quarts, because that is normally what drains out. Also speaking of quality oil. I use Napa 0w 20 synthetic oil. I over heard that valvoline makes Napa oil. I was thinking about switching to pensoil. I've only done two oil changes so far. What do you recommend?
KGB Reviews Keep it @ the highest hole, I have use Royal Purple on my Tundra since 04 n I love it, when I can’t find Royal Purple I used Mobil 1 they have not failed me so I’m not going to change plus Royal Purple cleans ur engine
1. bad generator. (car becomes trash if this goes) 2. bad battery pack. putting a refurbished pack is pointless and new one costs too much 3. basically any problems with the hybrid system Can't think of any others really. Maybe they'll make a video fr you if ure lucky
What is the status on class action suit regarding the smell? 2014 V6 purchased new has it, changing cabin filter helps but odor comes right back after a few weeks. A/C does not get cold, only cool. My 2000 Camry gets cold, what's with the 2014? BTW, the courtesy Toyota, A/C was freezing inside during summer heat. Both cases (smell and A/C) dealer said it's normal when it was under warranty, BS!
2002 camry, 240k miles. Cut off while driving, no crank no start. Dash lights and headlights on. No blown fuses, no visibly burnt relays. Any thoughts?
Geesh I might as well keep my 1999 Toyota solara which is 21 years old and I have never had any of those problems..it seems like the Toyotas back them was built way better..
Keep key change your fluid Transmission and Oil change by yourself, you look up on TH-cam you can do by your self with very simple tools unlike a modern car is very complex and you don't do anything!
# 6 is a rattle in dashboard, driver's side, 2012 Camry SE, most likely caused by a small damper INSIDE the electrical power steering. It rattles at speeds, over bumps, everywhere. Many "you tube mechanics" have identified that bad part, except not one mechanic in South Florida wants to take apart all those pieces underneath the steering wheel to check it out. They say 'go to the dealer" like it is an option for s 2012 Camry with 143K miles. It has no effect on power steering. Just rattle rattle as you drive along.
I have a 99 camry 2.2L 4 cylinder. It has 236,525 miles. Never replaced anything except fluids, wipers, brakes, tires and shocks. Also rear sway bar bushings. Its the best car i ever owned. Im a little disappointed in the newer Toyotas.
I have a 2010 Camry with a check engine light. I took it to the mechanic and they did all the test for an emission problem and found nothing wrong with my car. Mechanic says its the computer or something and it needs to go to the dealer to flash the component. How or what is "flashing" mean?
I have a 2019 Camry se with the 4cylinder and it shot a rod through the block at 140,000 miles. Due to me not changing the oil for 20-30 thousand miles 🥴 cost 7000$ to replace it.
Do you know why the touch screen or buttons stop working on Toyotas , I have a 2016 Camry and my touch screen and the buttons around it stopped working. Also the buttons on my steering wheel for the radio , the others work fine )’:
Hi everyone.Mine is Camry 2011 XLE.. Could you please help me with such a question? The car stands off for some hours and when I start the engine i can hear a high working engine sound for a per second then it disaapears and starts to work normally(After that this sound dissapears for period using the car in the day..) Is this a problem with the engine or its normal for 2.5 motors? Thanx
This is bullcrap. I work at a commercial shop. We work on taxis. 2014-2017 camrys mostly. And yes taxis, drivers beat the hell out of them and put a whole lot of miles. Never seen one of these problems
most modern vehicles have sealed transmissions with the same issue. radiator cap leaking? What does a new one cost? $20? Alternators don't last forever. Its still a pretty solid car
Alternators fail often, it's common for all cars. Either your cap has been cross threaded at some point or your cap is old and so the rubber became brittle and started to leak, also normal for all cars.
I have the 2ARFE 4 cylinder and I started getting that rattle around the passenger side of the engine. I replaced the water pump it isn’t that I think it’s what your saying the camshaft. What exactly is that and how much will it cost to repair?
I have the same car, there is no codes but in the live data it shows ol-fault > fuel system 1 & 2 .. what could be the Problem 😕 and the rpm goes high when the loop is faulted (no vacuum leaks and throttle body is clean)
I am not understanding after all the comments suggesting that you: SHOULD SPECIFY THAT IS A 6 CYLINDER! You guys are not updating the title of this video, is not that hard to edit it!
@@orvillesmith1208 No such thing as a "v4" This engine is an inline 4 (i-4) or can be called a straight 4 because the cylinders in the engine are in a straight line. Other engines can be a v6, v8, v10, v12 etc. This is because the cylinders in the engine are arranged in a V pattern. Million dollar cars such as the Bugatti Veyron will have a W16 engine.
With the first problem does the rattle happen frequently or as you drive? I have that issue but it’s shakes the car when I go at certain miles per hour and it stops when I let go of the gas wen I continue to step on the gas it goes back to normal
Had this problem with my 92 Camry. Tried everything from cleaning throttle body replacing air intake tube using fuel system cleaners.. Turns out it was just the coolant temperature sensor that was broken.. Only like a $25 fix .. I guess without this sensor ur car always assumes the car is cool so it just floods the engine with unburned fuel causing it to stall!!
I have zero codes but i have rough style start when the engine is warm. I took it to toyota and they couldn't figure out any issues.. cold start, zero issues. 2012 4cyl camry. Any insight? I have a powertrain warranty to replace 85% of anything regardinh the engine besides electrical stuff.. replaced battery the day i got car, from toyota..
2007-2009 Toyota Camry do not buy the 4 cylinder versions unless you can find out if Toyota has done their required warranty engine repair work on it! They have an internal memo in regards to these repairs, which is why very few vehicles will have the required engine repair performed! Just a lil FYI for all of us!! 😎💯🔥💰👌🏿🔥💰💲
Im having issues with the immobilizer, my key was working fine and car turned on and drove, once I left and came to turn on the car. If it controls both, then it’s call a “PCM”. the 1997 to 2001 Toyota Camry's are the most bulletproof car ever made.
+howtobebasic 2 Thanks for the feedback!
Until you get a 420 code.
3 O2 sensors and 3 cat converters =2500$.
Stay away from Toyota especially with CA emissions.
Purchased a 2015 XSE V6 with 60k miles,I’ve put 40k miles on it and haven’t had any problems at all yet, fingers crossed the check engine gods keep smiling on me lol
I am a camry owner and I always look forward to your videos. Please do more, lots more.
My 2011 2.5 SE has been very reliable, bought it new and now has 119k only issue I have had has been 02 sensors so far. Yes she does use oil which is a slight issue considering my 09 Nissan never used any oil with a 155k but the trans sucks it slips.
Have already experienced 4 of these problems on the Lexus ES350. Misfire was the most expensive fix. Wish I saw this video earlier.great info here

I bought a Toyota Camry 2017 engine 2AR FE on15.000km for $20.000 AUD last week ( I live in Australia)
15.000 km only
Forgot problem #6 : they never break .

@ThePariss333 I would be worried if mine never braked since bought it...
Every car breaks. Silly.
2014 camry se 4 cyl 2 ar fe motor runs great. Check spark plugs and oem ram air intake is better then cold air intake

+walter sweet Thanks for the feedback!
Maybe on the 6 cylinder but not the 4 cylinder...got 2013 camry...no problem at all
+Harry Uy Thanks for checking us out! 1AAuto.com
Same Here! Replaced brakes that about it. None of the above issues!
Another problem is the torque converter from 2012-2016.
24 hundred for a new one and labor .Torque converter.
I got mine replaced for free under a recall in October.
@@MrSnow-dx1pr what year is your model? You went to the dealership? I think i have same problem with my LE 2011 and i dont know what to do
did yours start feeling slow out of nowhere ?
engine rattle on startup make sure you keep your eye on the pcv valve!
Startup rattle noise is due to variable valve timing gear pin not getting enough lube for a sec or two at startup.
I have that, how big of a problem is that?
@@chbobby8382 More of an annoyance. I haven't seen, nor heard of the AR2-FE (the 4 cyl) engine experiencing an actual part failure. I had mine replaced and it still does it, lol.
I have two 2015 Camrys. Only problem I’ve had is play in the power steering. Was a result of a weak battery on both vehicles. Play on power steering is very noticeable after making a turn onto another road. Hopefully this helps. No codes showing.
+Agustin Sanchez Thanks for the feedback!
+Jasper DiLincoln Thanks for checking us out and taking the time to comment! 1AAuto.com
Was that’14 Camry a V6?
Yeah, its a real shame what these newer cars have turned into. Im keeping my 99 camry as long as possible. 236,525 miles and still going.

I bought the 14 Camry new , no issues , 225 k
Been driving 2012 camry since almost 5 years not even a single thing of these happened with me milage is way more than 100,000 miles
How many miles?
Nice and mature and well spoken knowledgble guy
I change my oil every 5k miles. That’s about every 5 weeks.
Just don’t get one with cvt transmission 👍🏼 thanks for the video
2018 and 2019 Camry also has a bad fuel pump problem. Already replaced my fuel pump 2 times.
I'm curious if the 4-cylinder engine has the same problem with the camshaft solenoids and water pump issues.
generally I've heard the four cylinder engines are more reliable.
Nope. I have the V4 of this Camry and it is rock freaking solid with no issues.
Upgrades potentially include the following (depending on what can be obtained aftermarket, by the way, does anyone know of any quality aftermarket products that hopefully incorporate multiple functions into one device, hence reducing dashboard clutter):
• Alert - Rear Cross Traffic (when reversing)
• Alert/Warning - Collision Forward -- Potential Aftermarket solution is the Navman MIVUE860DC TYRE Dash Cam
• Blind Spot Sensor - Parkmate PTS-440BSD Sensor Front & Rear Blind Spot Detection System, Mongoose MBSW4 SURFACE MOUNT MODEL,
• Brake Emergency Display - Hazard/Stoplights
• Control - Crash Avoidance with Braking (Low spd)
• Control - Pedestrian Avoidance with Braking
• Lane Departure Warning - Potential Aftermarket solution is the Navman MIVUE860DC TYRE Dash Cam or Parkmate PTS-440BSD Sensor Front & Rear Blind Spot Detection System
• Parking Assistance - Graphical Display
• Park Distance - Front & Rear - Steelmate PTSV810 Front & Rear PARKING SENSOR KIT 8-SENSOR KIT, Pioneer Reverse Sensor Kit for Smartphone Multimedia Tuner - ND-PS1, Kemax Reversing Camera & Parking Assist Sensor Kit, Powertrain 4.3in. Reversing Camera With Sensors, PARKMATE REAR PARKING ASSIST SYSTEM WITH AUDIBLE ALERT
• LED Headlights
• Daytime Running Lamps - LED
• High Beam Auto Dipping
• Rain Sensor (Auto wipers)
• Power - Tailgate/Boot
• Digital Radio Receiver (DAB+)
• Colour Display Screen - Front
• Digital Instrument Display - Partial
• Tyre Pressure Sensor -- Potential Aftermarket solution is the Navman MIVUE860DC TYRE Dash Cam
Additional aftermarket upgrades:
Heads up Display that shows speed, GPS directions (like the HUD in the Citroen DS5), Reverse Camera would be fantastic
I have not had any of these problems on my 2012 Camry. True, it is a 4-cylinder, but I just passed 184k miles.
+Mark Kauffman Thanks for the feedback!
you forgot to mention that most of the Misfires can be solved with a new set of spark plugs
Nope....thats when the real problems start.
By then your cats and O2 sensors are fried.
2500$ on the V6.
This particular model maybe not certain model years are gold
Just curious i have a 17 camry se 4cyl. Should I keep my oil level between the two holes or right at the top hole? I try to get it as close to the tip hole as possible without going above it. About 4.5 to 4.7 qrts is what the recommends at the most oil. I do 4.7 quarts, because that is normally what drains out. Also speaking of quality oil. I use Napa 0w 20 synthetic oil. I over heard that valvoline makes Napa oil. I was thinking about switching to pensoil. I've only done two oil changes so far. What do you recommend?
Try to keep it at the top of the higher hole. Definitely don't let it go below the second hole.
in between the holes and use only Pennzoil Ultra to keep it really clean. the only oil that is made from natural gas
they represent upper and lower limits
KGB Reviews Keep it @ the highest hole, I have use Royal Purple on my Tundra since 04 n I love it, when I can’t find Royal Purple I used Mobil 1 they have not failed me so I’m not going to change plus Royal Purple cleans ur engine
Mobile 1 full synthetic is all I run in my 2014 V6 camry. Changings at 4.5k to 5.
Can you talk about the top 5 problems of toyota prius (2010-2015), my prius with 400,000 kilometer had a energy light on, I don't know how to fix it.
1. bad generator. (car becomes trash if this goes)
2. bad battery pack. putting a refurbished pack is pointless and new one costs too much
3. basically any problems with the hybrid system
Can't think of any others really. Maybe they'll make a video fr you if ure lucky
Hello, will add the video to the list! ;)
P 0300can also be a fuel system leak or loose gas cap. It actually causes random misfires but is instantly fixed when gas cap is tightened.
What things are likely to cause a rattle on start up on a 2011 Toyota Camry 2.5?
Bad Motor mount or Intake Camshaft Adjuster VVT Gear
I never heard these problems in Japan made camry for GCC countries and im working on them since 15 years
+M Ridware Thanks for the feedback!
A similar video would be nice for Mazda too. Thanks!
The way the engine is set up it’s the earlier model Camry. Mine doesn’t have things in this orientation. Issues may have been address in the redesign
I have a 99 camry 2.2L 4 cylinder. It has 236,525 miles. Never replaced anything except fluids, wipers, brakes, tires and shocks. Also rear sway bar bushings. Its the best car i ever owned. Im a little disappointed in the newer Toyotas.
+Roscoe ElCocko Thanks for checking us out! 1AAuto.com
I have a 2010 Camry with a check engine light. I took it to the mechanic and they did all the test for an emission problem and found nothing wrong with my car. Mechanic says its the computer or something and it needs to go to the dealer to flash the component. How or what is "flashing" mean?
It means resetting the computer system, which resets the car’s electronic control system and erases all the trouble codes
I have a 2019 Camry se with the 4cylinder and it shot a rod through the block at 140,000 miles. Due to me not changing the oil for 20-30 thousand miles 🥴 cost 7000$ to replace it.
Great video! Do you do virtual diagnostics?
Do you know why the touch screen or buttons stop working on Toyotas , I have a 2016 Camry and my touch screen and the buttons around it stopped working. Also the buttons on my steering wheel for the radio , the others work fine )’:
Hi there, I want to know if my Toyota Camry 2011 2.5 a Dynamic force Engine?
My 2012 Camry Le’s steering wheel is off-centered. I’ve done alignment and it did not fix the issue. Any other recommendations?
I have 2011 camry 4 cylinders and has no issues. Only 73k on it.
@rodolfo s, i recently bought myself one also. 93k on it, so far it has been smooth sailing.
I have 1997 Camry-4 cylinder with over 200K. Running strong.
These problems are common in many types of vehicles
Hi everyone.Mine is Camry 2011 XLE.. Could you please help me with such a question? The car stands off for some hours and when I start the engine i can hear a high working engine sound for a per second then it disaapears and starts to work normally(After that this sound dissapears for period using the car in the day..) Is this a problem with the engine or its normal for 2.5 motors? Thanx
Every motor is louder when you first crank and then idles down and gets quite
How about the 7th generation oil consumption?
This is bullcrap. I work at a commercial shop. We work on taxis. 2014-2017 camrys mostly. And yes taxis, drivers beat the hell out of them and put a whole lot of miles. Never seen one of these problems
Transmission without a dipstick ! You can't check color of fluid over time , Alternator . Radiator cap leaking
most modern vehicles have sealed transmissions with the same issue. radiator cap leaking? What does a new one cost? $20? Alternators don't last forever. Its still a pretty solid car
Alternators fail often, it's common for all cars. Either your cap has been cross threaded at some point or your cap is old and so the rubber became brittle and started to leak, also normal for all cars.
I have the 2ARFE 4 cylinder and I started getting that rattle around the passenger side of the engine. I replaced the water pump it isn’t that I think it’s what your saying the camshaft. What exactly is that and how much will it cost to repair?
Timing chain guilds
I have the same car, there is no codes but in the live data it shows ol-fault > fuel system 1 & 2 .. what could be the Problem 😕 and the rpm goes high when the loop is faulted (no vacuum leaks and throttle body is clean)
Good stuff to know. Thank you.
I am not understanding after all the comments suggesting that you: SHOULD SPECIFY THAT IS A 6 CYLINDER! You guys are not updating the title of this video, is not that hard to edit it!
I had every single one of this problems with my 2014 Camry
I have a 2012 v4 with 230k no issues
@@orvillesmith1208 No such thing as a "v4" This engine is an inline 4 (i-4) or can be called a straight 4 because the cylinders in the engine are in a straight line. Other engines can be a v6, v8, v10, v12 etc. This is because the cylinders in the engine are arranged in a V pattern.
Million dollar cars such as the Bugatti Veyron will have a W16 engine.
Cylinder misfire is usually a bad plug or coil..not an injector.
Would newer be similar as well?
With the first problem does the rattle happen frequently or as you drive? I have that issue but it’s shakes the car when I go at certain miles per hour and it stops when I let go of the gas wen I continue to step on the gas it goes back to normal
That happened to me.Do Not use regulas gas but plus or primmium, problem solved for me.
Use plus or premmiun gas problem solve.
I’m having the AC issue now. Wish my compressor wasn’t the high voltage one.
2012 Toyota Camry se stalls at red light otherwise runs fine. What you think? Thanks
Well done. 👊 Thanks for sharing.
What engine are good on these vehicles v6 or 4 cylinder and which models are the most reliable?
2007-2009 Toyota Camry do not buy the 4 cylinder versions unless you can find out if Toyota has done their required warranty engine repair work on it! They have an internal memo in regards to these repairs, which is why very few vehicles will have the required engine repair performed! Just a lil FYI for all of us!! 😎💯🔥💰👌🏿🔥💰💲
Would a bad cam shaft make a weird noise like a leaf getting hit by the fan?
Im having issues with the immobilizer, my key was working fine and car turned on and drove, once I left and came to turn on the car. It had activated theft mode and doesn’t let my key turn on the vehicle. The key fob has battery unlocked and locks and the car also has power but doesn’t allow the windows to move or crank. Can you please help !??
