They like apple and you can’t buy the software separately until just recently. I bought a mikro mk3 for 100$ with no software, I wish I would have done more research and saw I just bought a 100$ paper weight. Thankfully I just got the maschine 2 software separately. Trying to learn device now

I would love to see a comprehensive video of integrating Maschine Mikro with Logic pro. I am struggling with it and feel it could be improved. The key area being exporting MIDI as separate channels into Logic. There is a way, but it could be more intuitive. Anyway, this is a great video.

    Hi Native Instruments
I really like ow intuitive the workflow sounds, on the Maschine Mikro MK3.
I seriously want to buy a Mikro MK3, however,
I also really want to know, if Maschine software system allows for NVDA, (a computer application that helps blind people to use the computer, through audio feedback), to work in the Maschine software please?
As I am blind, but truly know that, I want to produce music, an I find the Maschine controllers integrated with Maschine software, is the best workflow, even for a person like me.
    Thank you,
And congratulations on the Maschine Plus launching soon.

@@mattcanton4188 Hi Matt. A few days after posting the comment, I ordered a Maschine Mikro an it's been awesome learning how to make beats, an also how to turn the sounds in my mind into actual sound.
The Mikro has a good amount of controle over the software, so it just came down to memorizing the buttons and pads, Thanks to help from abled family & friends lol.
My challenge is only when loading plugins, bussing effects, creating clips and exporting, but the process of recording patterns with awesome stock sounds, is fantastic.
NI also made Maschine super accessable with accessibility via Complete Controle,, which I hear works amazing, with NI keyboard controlers
      Respect..

For me, perfect. I had "big" Maschine, but I never had used to, and regularly used displays and advanced functions of hardware. Instead I mainly used PC. Maschine Mikro is what I need. It seems easier than it's bigger brother, and having all what is needed to be an hardware addition to software, for the most important parts of creation! I of course understand, that as a amateur, for hobby purposes only, which is creating very simple songs, Mikro is enough, but for pro's it's for sure not.

Shift on mk3+right mouse on knob in software and wheel changing this knob. Wheel click = input data and forget knob. This is will make wheel more active and I don’t know does any other company did this before. Hope to see this update soon :)

The only things I don’t like is the change of the manual sampling mode and mixing/adding effects to the master channel. I’ve been a dedicated user of Native Instruments’ Maschine series, starting with the original and moving to the Mikro platform for its smaller footprint. I’ve used the Mikro since its release, upgraded to the Mk.2 in 2017, and just got the Mk.3 in 2024. Despite the attractive new hardware, I’m disappointed with the sampling workflow changes.
Previously, live manual slicing was a feature that significantly enhanced my workflow and was a major reason I preferred the Maschine. However, the Mk.3 now has a slower, less intuitive sampling process. This change seems ironic and counterintuitive, especially for a model marketed as “fast” and “on-the-go,” as Boris mentioned. It disrupts the efficient workflow I’ve relied on for over a decade.
The original Mikro and other models support this essential feature, suggesting the issue is software-related. I contacted support to request that they revert the settings to re-enable live manual slicing, and I encourage others to do the same. This feature is crucial for maintaining the high productivity and enjoyment I’ve experienced with Maschine products. Also, we used to be able to navigate between sound, group, AND MASTER, with f1, f2, and f3. Now we only have sound and group… we should be able to do EVERYTHING from hardware. I’m sure this can also be resolved in a software update… something for long-time users of the mikro platform functionality.
Let’s work together to get Native Instruments to restore these capabilities and enhance the user experience on the Mikro Mk.3. Some of us CHOSE the platform out of the desire to have a smaller footprint, but we didn’t want a smaller pool of functionality. I’m sure this was done to encourage sales of other offerings, but there are other reasons to buy the flagship models- maybe the screen? The amount of encoders? The ability to attach SD cards and use it as a standalone… don’t worry NI, we will still buy a good product, but bring back the days of being able to make beats while waiting in the airport. SMALL FOOTPRINT FTW.

Great video, which just persuaded me to get one. I already own the mk2 and jam, but the mikro will be awesome for my other more minimal rig , alongside your M32. I love how compact it is. The only thing that makes me pause is that everytime I see a photo of the Mikro mk3, the pads are really bright colours, but when I see people using it, the pads look much dimmer. I hope there is a way to bring the colours up, so they are clearly visible in daylight

Just a pity that the Mikro3 only comes with a fraction of software content that the Mikro2 came with. Add to this the smaller Display of the Mikro3 and no Midi yet, i'd say the Mikro2 is still the better option. Also (genuine question) - do the MM3 pads have pressure sensitivity like all other models had/have ?

You need a seperate audio interface if you want the sound to big studio speakers. The mikro mk3 does not come with an internal audio interface.. without one the sounds comes out from your computer’s sound card. Also it’s not a musical instrument. It’s just a controller with buttons. Maschine software makes the sounds and does everything.

Gotta say, NI... HUGE mistake not having Controller Editor support for the Mikro MK3, or the M32. Huge. Colossal. There are a lot of people out there (thousands upon thousands) who like the controllers, because of MIDI-mapping customizability. Since the M32 has "Fixed assignments" and the Mikro MK3, the same..... no good, guys. You have to support general MIDI and other DAWs, as MIDI is bigger than EVER before. I'm speaking as a longtime NI customer (I own three Studios (two black, one white), a MK3, two MK2s (black and white), S49 MK1, S25 MK1, two Mikro MK2s, black and white).
Was going to buy the M32... but nope... also, no Windows 7 support. Mikro MK3 would be a dope MIDI control surface plus drum pad... but since you can't change the MIDI channel nor assign ANY of the buttons to specific CCs or whatever you want (NOR have Groups with different MIDI notes, so... shifted octaves for a lot of options)... no go, too.
Don't go the route of M-Audio who kept "breaking" cool things... or Akai, Roland, etc.
You guys were the most forward-thinking company, and you're becoming the most backwards- thinking one. Don't follow this path. Please.

@Sonic Vanilla I would go with a used MK2 controller. About $150-200. You get the same pads, bigger screens, and the Midi mapping is insanely customizable with the NI Controller Editor. If you can find a used MK2 with the Maschine software license transfer, even better. Good luck!
