Thanks 👊🏻 Yes, there’s a “lazy chop” feature on the Maschine, but I never use it. I don’t think one is easier than the other, I think it’s a fairly similar workflow.

@@davidneale2366 Unfortunately I don’t have a video talking about this. I’ve always said that start with something that doesn’t break the bank.. HOWEVER.. the MK3 compared to the Mikro are much easier to learn, faster workflow, doesn’t require all the extra button presses to navigate and you’re not glued to your computer, most of the work can be done from the controller!

How did you configure the turntable to record into the software. Is your turntable plugged into your audio interface to your right or through your mixer i see next to your turntable in the video?
If you're running everything via your computer it's not a problem. If you have other midi controllers you can use them in your DAW of choice or Maschine Software alongside the Maschine Mikro.
I think you can. I never use more than 16.. but I think if use slice mode or lazy chops, not sure what they’re actually called.. but once you fill up 16 it automatically generate a new slate.
Bro can you go deeper into the beat delay you used on the first chop/pad of the sample @ 1:21 - this is the first time I’ve seen it used, but I’ve heard it in some of 9th wonders music. Glad to have stumbled across this vid
Finessed Analyzer Sup man! Nothing fancy going on really, used the stock “beat delay” with time 2/16, unit 1/16, offset 0, feedback 52%, color 75%, mix 50%, no crossover, split 58%, stereo 51%.. just messed around with the settings till I found a nice fit. Hope this help you on the way. /BOOM 👊🏻

I like vintage music combined with beats, and I thought it could only be done with more expensive "cars". How can the mikro in question "dialogue" with Numark pt 01? Via daw? Sup Jack! In this video/setup I use the Maschine software as my DAW! So..this is how everything is hooked up. Numark going into my Akai AMX mixer, from the mixer to my channel 1-2 on my interface, and inside the Maschine software I set my input source to channel 1-2. Nothing fancy going on.

@@JackOlderProductions No problem! Yes it’s possible to connect, BUT.. you will only get mono.. if you have rca from the mixer to 6.3mm jack (mic/line input).. If you don’t mind sampling in mono all the time you’re good to go.. which mixer you have doesn’t matter. I bought the AMX mainly because I wanted to scratch my own vocals and it came with Serato Dj.. but if you’re just wanna sample vinyls or scratch regular 7” records 👌🏻. I recommend you get a 2 channel interface, doesn’t need to be a fancy one!

It’s a great keyboard for its price and if you’re totally into the NI eco system, but the lack of connectivity is a bit annoying.. the Arturia keyboards are much better in that sense. For me personally I would rather go with M32 or Keystep..

@@isolaking I’m no keyboard player, so for me it works with 32 or the Keystep 37.. but if you’re more experienced and play with two hands I think a 49er is the way to go. I have 49ers so I eventually can learn how to play 😊

Yes it’s hooked up to my left/right channel on my audio interface, then I just pick that as my source in the software.

How do I learn to do this I have one and want to learn
Practice makes progress. I’ve been chopping samples, making beats over a 20 year period 😊
Would you reccomend the KK A49 over other 49 key midis? I’ve already got the machine Mikro
It’s a great keyboard for its price and if you’re totally into the NI eco system, but the lack of connectivity is a bit annoying.. the Arturia keyboards are much better in that sense. For me personally I would rather go with M32 or Keystep..

@@BoombapArt I already have an Akai mini 25 key. But I want to go bigger so I can play with two hands. Would you say the 32 is good enough or should I go for the 49 (although it’s like £65 more😂)?
@@isolaking I’m no keyboard player, so for me it works with 32 or the Keystep 37.. but if you’re more experienced and play with two hands I think a 49er is the way to go. I have 49ers so I eventually can learn how to play 😊
