Though I will never pretend to understand the methods necessary to achieve photo finishes on car/truck builds... You've gone to epic proportions Guido. It's already so far beyond anything that I could ever achieve that I would never presume to advise.
    I can encourage though.
She is positively wonderful to my untrained eyes. Gorgeous in fact. That spare tire is the final piece. Perfection. I am deeply impressed with this build bud.

Don't lay it on that thick, man! ;)
It's just like your P-51: you just need to do it!

Glossy paint is one of the hardest things to do. Don't be upset with it, it looks great! And that spare tire,is wicked.

Very nice so far. You are right, it is a first build and no matter how good or who you are there is no such thing as a perfect build. Keep it fun. That's what matters.

Thanks for stopping by, Chris! I am very much on the fun side of the project. Juts one too many times of stripping paint. I'll get over it! Cheers, brother!

You are too hard on yourself my friend. Is it perfect? maybe not (although it looks great to me) don't forget that this is a hobby first of all and if you are not enjoying yourself then don't do it! The amount of work and time you have spent on this project is inspiring to me Guido and I wish I had this personal level of commitment for my projects. Cheers and keep your chin up and be proud of the work you produce because it is first class!

I am A-OK, Andy! Thanks for caring! I am a bit of a drama queen sometimes. I was really miffed because of the polish that made me strip the body for the fourth time. I am still loving this project and I have learned a ton! Thanks for watching!

Guido, it's looking good. Remember that perhaps after you finish it, you might add a little bit of mud and dirt in a few random places to give it that extra layer of realism. Enjoy.

Thanks for stopping by, Dr! I may consider this, but i think this on will stay pretty clean. ... but I am thinking "mud crawler" for the not-so distant future...

It looks fine , jeeps are not so shiny anyway...I wouldn't cover anything or put mud spatter on it, not on a 1/4 mile dragster...lol.. overall an excellent build and idea

Thanks for stopping by, Andy! I guess I'll stick to "show-shine" on this one (as good as it gets) and devevelop my skill from there.

Ooooooooooh, so sorry to hear Guido :( I know how much time you spent (attention to detail) on the model just to have it go.. with the paint job (my biggest fear) :( That is why car modellors (I believe) stick with cars. Nonetheless, you are a serious scratch builder, now IMHO if you want to go the "car route" start studing guitar makers and their techniques. As I stated before, us modellers stick to modelling. IMMHO are we not replicating the "real world".
In bonsai from the great John Naka "A dead tree is the tuition in Bonsai"
It hurts, I know it hurts. That being said I know you will overcome that mountain :) Why? Out of your comfort zone and practice, nothing more nothing less. We learn on every model we build. I still love it. Now for you (I know you will) back to the drawign board :) That spare tires shows your talent, don't let a new techinque drag you down :)))
