    Love to see the inspiration for this vehicle. I have always loved the VS bus. Turned out pretty good for your first run at modifying a vehicle. Keep up the great work.

    That looks fantastic and the rattle can results are remarkably good. I always get pooling when I use them. The scaling effect of the roof gloss is perfect. Must try those compounds.

      MakingModelsAgain Getting the distance right is one thing to consider and that your hand need to be constantly in motion. The TS-line paints from Tamiya are pretty easy to work with and they hold a surprising amount of paint. Thanks for taking a peek!

    Really nice Guido, it looks really good! I love the blue that you chose and I believe that orange peel effect might be reduced by the use of the polishing compound.
    I have a garage that used to convert old VW beetle cars near my house and they did one stretched bus once, a bit shorter though, but just to let you know that curiously it that some panel distortion in the same place as yours. ;)

      Carlos Mendes Thanks for stopping by Carlos! Some of the OP is now less visible. I guess I have been holding the can a bit to close to the plastic when spraying. It's all part of the learning curve. :)

    Nice job, the body work will be almost invisible if not completely in still photo. You will always see your own flaws quickly. You may see waves in the real bus. Paint job looks great!

    • @bilk1968
      @bilk1968  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      John Tvrdy It'll be hard to spot, I agree. However it makes sense to show how gloss paints tends to make these spots visible. I think I could have gone on sanding for another week without being able to make the last spots disappear, but enough is enough at some point. I think my customer will be very happy. That's what counts.
      Thanks for stopping by, John!

      Hamilkar Barkas funktioniert erstklassig. Das Ding fängt richtig an zu glitzern. Also innerhalb des Tamiya-Systems sind die Compounds echt klasse! Danke für's reinschau'n!

      It's going to be a handout flyer. The guy has a mobile Lomi Lomi massage parlour. He is saving up his doe to have this bus build for him as his next mobile work place.
