- An amazing return to Pitmedden Forest to revisit trails that I had ridden in the worst conditions I have ever ridden in. This time conditions were near perfect and what a difference that made. I liked Pitmedden last time even though conditions were bad but I loved it this time. It is a great place to visit. In my video I talk about a trail called Hammer and Tongs but to be honest I am not sure if that is the trail I was on. There are several trails that cross over one and other in that area and some of the trails I know have several names. If you know the name of that trail I would appreciate it if you could let me know. Happy shredding!

Pitmedden looks like an interesting place to ride, always a bit of a bit or miss on how dry the trails are, like yourself there's a lot of trails I am way more confident riding in the dry butt avoid when wet, drop offs with steep rough trails difficult to do for me as well. Gary Alexander I agree I’m far more confident in dry conditions but am starting to get a bit better in the wet, just got to learn to go easy when applying the brakes!😂🤙 Thanks for watching and it’s great to hear I’m not the only one who can get a bit nervous.😁👍

Are the trails long?
michie2510 hi mate, no they’re not that long, at least not the ones I’ve done. They do vary in length quite a bit. A River Runs Through It is probably about twice as long as M1 at Braefoot for example but it’s obviously a very different kind of trail. The thing I really like about Pitmedden is that you can go from trail to trail without having to peddle for ages. Even the fire road climb is nice and smooth not too steep. It’s worth checking out.🤙😁
Muddy Mongoose MTB I’m going there on Sunday. The weather forecast is rotten though, so I hope it’s not too muddy and slippy- I don’t really find conditions like that enjoyable.
