Thank you for all that you do as a nurse and as a kind person. My Dad is currently in the hospital with a blockage in his heart and my family is grateful to the hospital staff for keeping things running and clean for those who still need a hospital. My Dad has esophageal cancer and has had his chemo stopped because of his heart. He is at Juravinski Cancer Centre in Ontario where I know they will take the best care of him they possibly can. Ion a light note, I haven’t scrapbooked for many years, but I will check out you new channel. Do what makes you feel good. All my best to you and your family.
What an unusual time we're in. My brother and family in Utah are going bananas with staying home. They aren't used to being around each other. It's a strain. My daughter's college graduation has been put off a year due to the shutdown. She's putting on a brave face but my heart breaks for her. I know how disappointed and discouraged she feels. As for me, after such a long winter, I was looking forward to some outings (lap swimming is my happy place) and weekly volunteer work but nope, shelter in place for who knows how long. I guess we're all feeling it. On the positive side, I am both comforted and encouraged by you and your videos. Thank you from the bottom of my broken heart for your work here and in healthcare. You're a champ even when you don't feel like it!❤♀️ Sending positive feel good vibes your way!🌈

Connor did a great job on his pineapple, I feel so bad for the kids this year, everything happened so fast, they didn't get a chance to say their good byes to their friends or teachers. I work for the school so I am at home. Our teachers from the local Elementary did a driving parade around the neighborhood for the kids. They were outside with signs and stuff It was bitter sweet. Take care Jen, I'm sending good thoughts to you, your family and co-workers.

I am an NP in a clinic in NE Iowa and we just furloughed our staff and took pay cuts to stay. This week was tough emotionally! I think your channel helps me stay sane and helps me feel like my day is "normal "!

I, too, love beautiful penmanship. One good thing about being stuck at home for so long in NJ - the NYC Metro area (the current Covid-19 epicenter - we've been on lockdown for a month now) is my 13yo is so bored, she's actually been working on her penmanship. My child will have a real signature and know how to read cursive if I can help it. Please be safe and take those naps without guilt! You more than deserve it! Your "unproductive" days are my goals. :)
Jen, your voice is very calming. You are always so busy and doing so much. Thank you for all you do. I know being a nurse at these times is so more challenging than in normal life. I really enjoyed your video. I'm trying to be busy when I'm not working. I work from home, though my job is very slow b/c I'm in the food industry. These are uncertain times and never thought we would be living like this. It's a wake up call to live in the moment and appreciate everything we have. I hope you have a great week and nice Easter.
I want to thank you Jen. Even though i'm not in the same country as you, we are all part of the same world. And i really want to thank anyone i know, that are able to go to work. You are part of keeping the world still going, and espescially all the people who are working in the healthcare system. I can only imagine how scary it must be, to leave you family to go to a place where you know for sure that there can be a higher risk of encountering this horrible nightmare that has made our world take a long pause.. I am also thankful that you are still able to post amazing videos for all of us, that love you and your family❤️ (even if we are strangers🙈😁) Stay strong, but remember that it is OK to be scared and stressed. I find comfort in the fact that the situation is not going to be like this forever. Nothing lasts forever, not even this scary virus😊 Big hug all the way from Norway
So feel your anxieties through this video. I'm so glad to have a secure income, but also find days when I go out to work so stressful and come straight home and jump in the shower and wash all my clothes, wipe down my work passes, phone etc.
I'm in the UK and we're a tiny population, but also quite dense in city areas and we're losing 900+ people a day to this battle right now. So hard to fathom. I've never been so glad to have chosen to live out in the sticks...but it makes it no easier to see what's going on elsewhere in the country or world. Heartbreaking.
Take care and thank you for posting through this. I'm hoping videos will be a way we can document this time and how our home lives continue no matter what is going on out there. May they be a way to 'look back' on this time soon.

Commented just before the end of your video...that rainbow is beautiful! In the UK we have rainbows in our windows for people/families who are out walking to see and count...much like the teddy bears in the USA I think. That rainbow would be sure to make anyone passing your home smile though, but the scrapbook page idea is beautiful too.
I got my Dawn power spray stuff online from Target. We don’t have a Target so I order online. I had not left my house since March 12until yesterday when I had to drive an hour and a half to Costco. My grocery store is out of everything and since they are very small they are being skipped over and not getting many shipments. I suffer depression and anxiety and I had such anxiety leaving the house. That being said I’ve never seen Costco so empty, there were maybe 20-25 people in there. They did not have t-p or bleach so we stopped at Albertsons and my husband was stopped at the door and told he would have to wait to go in because only so many people can be in there at one time. I love your new channel I have been scrapping again after yrs. because watching you I got motivated again. Take care of yourself

When I went in to healthcare 25 years ago I never imagined I would be out of work. But here I am, furloughed for god knows how long. I am a CAT scan technologist working for the largest out patient radiology practices in my state. We had to close all but 2 offices. Hopefully I will be back to work sooner than later. In the meantime I am cooking up a storm for the family. Stay safe.❤

It's funny you being a nurse and making that rainbow because here in the UK children have been painting or drawing rainbows and putting them in the windows of their homes to show support to the nurses, doctors and other key workers.

Jen, give yourself some grace. What's your going through is stress. My job is on the phone all day and anytime there is a crisis in the world, my callers want to either get angry or take extra time and talk about their opinions, fears or life history. Take those naps, take time for you. If you need to cut down the lengths of your vlogs in order to self-care, do it. If you need to have sandwiches, pizza or freezer food for meals, do it. Your well being is most important, otherwise the wall will tumble down. Hugs.

*Happy Easter, Jen (and Adam and the kids of course). My happy moment this week was being out of the house for basically 2nd time in 30 days to watch our school's teacher/staff "parade". We practiced social distancing ;) But I got so teary eyed watching how excited the kids were to see their teachers. It was emotional, which seems weird, but such a highlight in the midst of all the devastation in our world today.*
My son is only 6 months old and I feel so sad that I haven’t been able to take him out to many places. I could honestly say he has left my house maybe about 10-20 times in his entire 6 months. I had bought him cute summer clothes and now he just wears them to the back yard. But I would rather he stay safe inside. Keep up the great work Jen! We will all get through this pandemic together! & I looooove how much Adam teases you through out your videos lol he reminds me of my husband who hates to be recorded. I just went through the words of all you kind people and I sincerely hope and Pray that you all are safe . Jen I do think you do a wonderful job your family is doing well I had to laugh at Conner and the dog running with no worries. Please everyone remember what Easter is about Jesus gave his everything for all of us.
We live in Texas. DFW area. Both county’s we live and work in have a shelter in place order. Our jobs are safe and secure- we are essential workers as well but so stressful. I work at the hospital and have direct patient care. I feel guilty going to work and do my best not bring anything home. We have been ordering out once a week to support our locals- thank goodness for the change.
I recently lost my son to an auto accident (9/11, he was only 22, my 1st born). I've been watching your channel even before. I want to thank you for being my center with your videos in these last few months, many many feeling to work thru there. Connor reminds me so much of him when he was young. His little smile is infectious.

I’m glad you talked about being a nurse and what’s happening there. I’m in Texas and curious how things are elsewhere by watching my normal TH-camrs that Ive always watched. My friend is a RN and furloughed because she works in a surgical hospital and they stopped surgeries unless absolutely necessary.
so after 20 years of not being able to work outside of the home, Iv suddenly discovered a 'side gig/hustle. Im making hepa filter face masks. I dont charge money for them, but instead ask for a 'trade' like more cloth to make masks, elastic for the ear bands, thread, things for my sewing machine, or food items (mostly people have offered meat and obviously Im pretty happy with that, veg is great too as we get into warmer months). I have autoimmune disease/immunocompromised and have to get IVIG every month.. so everything has to be well sanitized before it comes into the house.
I dont know how long Ill 'be here' but Im trying to help my family be able to deal with the world after Im gone. If you can send me some good thoughts,, Id appreciate it. I was soooo hopeful we would be able to offer peaches this year to our local community because we have five peach trees. But the weatherman says below 32 degrees two days this coming week so I doubt that will happen this year. Breaks my heart honestly. All the blooms will freeze off if that happens.

I understand your work stress. I am in the philanthropy department of a large hospital system (2 lg hospitals and 3 specialty hospitals) and we interact with the front-line care staff regularly. Our system leadership has given us a huge fundraising goal specifically for the pandemic. It's a lot of pressure - we need to fund the programs and the care resources that our coworkers need and at a time when businesses are affected and people are in financial turmoil. The thing for all of us to remember is that we need to take care of ourselves as much as possible so that we can help others and that this will pass. Our families, our country and our planet will survive this.
This is such a strange time. I feel like it has reset so many things for society. It is an awesome reminder of how quickly everything can change. I am working (med insurance) harder now than I have in years. One of my projects is COVID related, and it is kicking my ass. With that said, I consider myself blessed, to be able to work, and have all the med pros & others that are keeping the rest of us going. So, thank you for your hard work, and the risks you’re taking. ❤️
I really admire u and working in health care. My daughter works in a nursing home and I know she has struggled throughout this year. She has 3 kids so childcare has been something that her and I have tried to work through. We are still in hybrid mode in south jersey for school

Here in Pittsburgh, PA we have been on shut down for a month.
It’s a stressful time for everyone in some matter. I’ve had to reschedule my bridal shower 3 times, my bachelorette party is on hold, my wedding had to be reschedule from May to September! I’m heartbroken! But we have almost completed rescheduling everything.

My family loves banana bread. Anytime we have overripe bananas on the counter I will freeze them. Either for smoothies or depending on how many I will freeze individual bags of three bananas, perfect amount for banana bread. Then all I have to do is thaw out the bag and I am ready to whip it up!
Hey girl!! Love LOVE your videos. I'm the freezer Queen when it comes to extras. I freeze any leftovers waffles as well, we just pop them in the toaster too.
I definitely find it helpful to continue to prep meals as usual although I'm working from home.

I know how you feel , I work full time as a PSW in a long term nursing home, we are very lucky that we have had no cases of the covid 19, As of a few days ago we have to wear a mask for the entire shift and I am ok with that , Its just another precaution to keep our residents safe...Thank you for all you do..xoxoxo
Schools here in NH are closed until 5/4 for right now. I have a feeling that could be extended but I am trying to stay positive about it. Thank you again for all you do at your job & TH-cam Jen. I can’t imagine working in health care right now how stressful it is. Thank you to you and all the other health care workers that are helping take care of everyone. Where I work has been closed for almost a month now and my husband lost his job this week. He is supposed to be rehired when everything opens back up but it’s scary not knowing when everything will open back up. Our governor tried to get around the shelter in place by closing things but she finally had to issue a shelter in place.

I’m a quilter and that it is the only thing helping with anxiety right now. I’m making masks for friends and family. It’s not much but something I can do. Hi Jen, so glad you and the family are doing well. I'm in Pa right outside of Philly and we do have a shelter in place order, and all Schools are out through the end of the year. I work in Veterinary medicine , so I do still go to work in my animal hospital but we're very limited to the care we can give. Most of our PPE's and ventilators have gone to area hospitals. I bought a waffle maker last year. Attempted to use it once it stuck no matter what I did. Its been collecting dust in my cupboard. Now this one looks amazing! The removable plates is a game changer. I have a George Foreman where the plates come out!

I'm a healthcare worker in Canada, and I feel you Jen. The teamwork is definately inspiring at work, but then there's moments of wanting to lie down and have a good cry. I'm switching between being anxious and thinking this whole thing isn't real. But the whole world is going through the same thing, none of us are alone 💕
