Hummus (original recipe from Cook's Country magazine)
1/4 cup water
2T lemon juice
1/4 cup tahini
2T olive oil
1 15 oz can chickpeas, rinsed
1 garlic clove
1/2 t salt
1/4 t cumin
pinch cayenne
Process chickpeas, garlic, salt, cumin, and cayenne in food processor until coarsely ground. While processor is running, add water, lemon juice, tahini, and olive oil. Process until smooth and creamy, scraping down sides as needed. Store in refrigerator up to 5 days.

Here’s a tip. Keep a black sharpie and a gold or silver one in your kitchen. When you open a new jar of something-write the date on the top. The metallic sharpie works well on black lids. Makes cleaning out the fridge less of a guessing game. Great motivational video!

So we have started using a sharpie marker and marking the top of jars when we open them! Makes it so much easier to know when to pitch it.

Happy to say that ever since we got all new appliances at Christmas, mine have never been cleaner...something about new appliances makes you want to keep them nice and new looking.
The fridge is my to do job for today. I’ve noticed your protecting your butcher block with cutting boards. Wise choice. If I had a beautiful island like yours I wouldn’t want it to look too authentic. 😊

I loved the video. I've been washing my fruits and vegetables so that it's easier to pack my husband's lunch and smoothie!
Our freezer had that issue. We followed a TH-cam video on how to clear the drain tube. Only took a few minutes and never had the issue again.
Just put this on my to do list!

I am going to try laying that press and seal stuff on my fridge shelves and the top of the fridge to make it easier to clean.
I do that on top of my fridge and cabinets that don’t go up to the ceiling. Helps sooo much... no greasy film to contend w/!!!

I had the very same fridge and we had the same problem of ice build-up. We had another brand before that had the same problem. We went back to the side-by-side style and have a lot of problems with temperature control. Can’t win! When we moved into our house 20 years ago, we sold the small fridge that was here to a friend for her garage. Would you believe, that one works perfectly.

We had the same freezer issue. My husband can fix anything but not that! Maybe every fridge is different and more difficult. We have a whirlpool. The refrigerator repair man said some are easily repairable and others are not. It is a drain issue and took him about an hour and a half. But it was worth every penny! I got so tired of the icing the bottom of the freezer 😃

I did chicken and veggies and onions on my stick I used my grill pan on the stove it was do good
I mark the lid of all of my condiments with the date that I open them. I also date all of my leftovers. Throwback to my restaurant days...lol.

I love saving condiment packets! Lol. I clean my fridge out weekly. It's the one thing in the house that I have to clean on a weekly basis.

I enjoyed this more because I have the exact fridge🤣 I was envisioning mine and how I can organize lol! I've never had the ice problem but my ice part pisses me off. We've been having to restart it so I can get ice. Thanks for the video!! Oh and if you do the freezer I'd be so happy. I can't with mine. I buy things I have already and it's so hard to organize!

Our old fridge had the same issue with the ice rink. This is not a solution, but this makes it easier to remove the ice...i would lay a kitchen towel on that section and it would get wet and freeze and then you just have to remove the towel and all the ice comes with it. Way easier than scraping and melting it!!! I would just change out the towel like once a week.
I've had those packets expire on me... Need to watch that :)
