Please if you haven't already do a whole series for the removal of the computer and individually re-wiring things like the spedometer, temp gauge, anything that might go through the PCU. I have not seen a complete guide on the removal process and I think this could help a lot of people out that don't know all the ins and out of electrical. Personally my charging system went bad after the truck was stolen (No damage to the truck other than electrical troubles thank goodness) so I went ahead with the PA performance one wire alternator to fix that issue and have done some other custom wiring. In all I think it could help a ton of people out as these trucks are only getting more popular from what I can see.
awesome idea, had been thinking the same way for my 1990 ramcharger 5.2L I'll have to show pics on mine. warning lights already modified to cargo light area
Thanks for the sub! I've got another video coming on a back up camera install and tried to show a little more detail inside the dash with the stereo out.
Hey Brett. A few new videos are in the works on some of the mods done. In regards to the grill, couldn't find a good replacement so ended up taking a mold off the original and creating a new one. Used car dealer where we got the truck cracked the top of the original when they were changing the water pump... When I bring the truck in to change the rockers hopefully soon I'll talk about the grill. Thanks for the thumbs up!
@@iNVisionPrototypes awesome. I have a 91 and wanted to go the older 80’s style crosshair grille. But I would need to move the headlamp buckets down some. So I’m looking for options!
That should look pretty trick! You may need to swap out the front core support. See if you can compare core supports in photos on the interweb. Best of luck!

Hey David, you're welcome. Don't know if you're interested but I'm working on videos outlining what was done to get things functional after a computer delete.
@@iNVisionPrototypes Thank you for sharing your talent and knowledge ! Deleting the PCM would be a great peace of mind ! Seems when the weak link brakes it's at the worst time or place !
Yup! However, this was a perfect excuse for an upgrade to a newer head unit with a touch video screen and blue tooth phone connectivity lol! Thanks for watching 👍
In case you haven't seen the rest of the Dodge truck videos, I have a 1993 Dodge D250 playlist created with a number of things one can do to get around a dead ECM. Thanks for watching.
No bypass as it's no longer relevant. The CPS was used to tell the computer that the engine was running for controlling the alternator and AC . Running with a firewall mounted regulator means you don't need the CPS signal. And by grounding the AC relay the way I showed in the video a guy simply manually operates the AC from the HVAC controls. Just be sure to turn off the AC when you shut the truck down(most of the time I forget lol...havn't had any issues over 10 years)
It was a section of OEM dash vent hose from a project donor vehicle I pulled from storage. Just about anything 1"-1.5" should work. A small length from your shop vac hose would do the trick. After you remove the centre section of duct, you will need to blank off the ends and make a hole to receive the new hose in your truck's HVAC unit Thanks for watching.
@@iNVisionPrototypes I was thinking vacuum hose also but wasn’t sure if it would allow enough air flow. I appreciate you taking the time to reply, I know comments can be bombarding at times. Again, thank you for your advice and great video content!! Subscribed!!!
@@johnfarthing6174 Going smaller will reduce the air flow slightly to the left vent, but space is limited inside. I use the centre vents most of the time. I read and respond to every comment as soon as I can. Thanks for the sub!
Hi Frank, Actually I installed a firewall mounted voltage regulator from NAPA. Kept all the same wiring and tapped in at the charging relay over the left fender. Something along the lines of an ACDelco C603. Everything works like stock.
@@iNVisionPrototypes I’m currently working on my 93 W350 Dully.. it was a D350 and I did the 4x4 conversion, Dana 70 rear, Dana 60 kingpin front, Eaton fuller 6 speed overdrive trans, detached 205 transfer case, 4” lift and 35’s.. I’m starting on the interior and I’ve got an idea in my head (I’m thinking about installing a tablet in a similar configuration that you put the pioneer in, and just running Bluetooth speakers) I have already done a 4th gen seat swap and I’m getting the seats, roof liner, and door panels done in crocodile leather.. expensive but looking forward to having the last truck I’ll ever driver done.

I used some ABS sheet material and stuck it on with high temp glue. If you have some plastic(ABS) interior panels kicking around with a flat area that will work well. You can also carefully weld it with a soldering iron. Thanks for watching!
at around the 4:00 mark you started holding the module that shows "cummins" has the ready to start light, 4x4 and stuff like that, whats that part actually called?
I’ve heard it is difficult to relocate the HVAC controls because they have push rods on the back (or something like this) is there any truth to this? And would I be able to relocate it to where you have your grid heater and O/D switches? Thank you for the video!
Hi, There are 2 cables attached to the rear of the control unit. If I recall correctly, to relocate to the heater and OD switch area won't be possible as the cables are too short. Moving the control downward to the area I have it still allowed the cables to sit without any tension. If you sourced longer cables it should be possible. On another note, the 'message centre' cable has length to it and can be relocated as far as the switch areas. Hope this helps. Cheers!
