    My hands were too big to remove those hidden bolts on the back of the intake so I scheduled an appointment with my Jeep dealer. The service writer had trouble explaining to the service tech what needed done so I showed him your video! The tech still didn’t get it so the service writer asked to borrow my phone and you schooled him on his job!! Thank you! After he saw your video I was out in a jiffy!

    Hey just a quick note, at 1:20 you say the back bolt is a 13/16" but its actually just a 13mm. Maybe add in a note to the video to clarify that.
    Thanks again for the video, I had to pull the manifold off again to replace a oil cooler and this video always helps.

      The way to access that bolt is using a stubby 13 mm wrench. Their is no room for anything else and since the bolt is also used to support the hardness, that's the only tool that will allow you to break the connection. So, use a small panel pry bar to take the harness off the bolt, then use that wrench to break the connection and allow you to take that bolt out to remove the bracket. You'll thank me later!

    I searched this topic out to see what other mechanics like to use for plugs. Me, I pay through the nose for the OEM Mopar plugs and coils and am looking to save $$ this time around. I really don't have much trouble removing the plenum. Toyota Siennas are my worst by far!!! The Pentastar has a couple of achilles heels and this is my respectful advice: Buy port seals, vac lines, and an aftermarket oil/coolantheat exchanger with good seals. You'll already be there swapping out plugs. You might as well address that crappy plastic heat exchanger. If it starts leaking, you'll have coolant in the oil and that's a bad day, to the max! My 2016 Caravan has just turned 400,000 miles and still doesn't use a drop of oil. The 6 speed tranny is another matter....Thanks!

    Thank you for the very useful video. I wasn't able to get the bottom rear bracket bottom nut off, too small a space for my hands. I ended up loosening the bottom nuts on the right side brackets enough to get the posts off the brackets and then it came off. Hope that helps anyone else that's struggling with that back nut. The AC lines are in the way, but at least you can see what you're doing.

    This video was completely a life saver. That back bracket literally gave me a Hella of a lot of trouble. After I got that off it came right off. My seals were white, so I don't know if they need to be replaced or not. I replaced my spark plugs and coil packs with some RIPP supercharge spark plugs and coil packs. I forgot I didn't reattach my connector to my air intake after starting my car and driving it a quarter mile. When my check engine light came on after starting my car 3 times it reminded me I didn't reconnect it. I hope it goes off over night if it just needs to reset. If not I'll take it to advance auto and see what they can tell me.

    At 1:23, you said 13/16th. On my 12 Charger SE, it was a 13mm.
    Now, I'm a big fan, but I spent my afternoon looking for that size, and all I found was the 13, after running to hardware store 2 minutes before they closed, because I didn't have one that size. Unless I missed something, or maybe it's an earlier engine than what you demonstrated on, I got ticked. Can you tell me if the 12 Pentastar has a difference?
    You're the best. Love this channel. But I can't drink a beer at 9 am when I put it back together. So there's that.

    I use to have a 2012 dodge avenger with the 3.6L pentastar engine. I ended up upgrading the oil filter housing to the 2013, because the spring loaded mechanism became bridle and the spring flew off during the oil change. I thought there would be a clearance issue because it's slightly higher, but seats perfectly with no issues. So if someone has one this is a way to eliminate that issue.

    Excellent video thanks for sharing. I replaced spark plugs, coil packs and pvc on my 2013 jeep wrangler.
    Whew. When I put the upper intake back on I stripped 1 of the short bolt holes. Is there a harding product that can be put in the hole or rethread and use a larger bolt.

    Thanks for the vid...if nothing else I have the piece of mind of knowing I was at least seeing it somewhat correctly when I tried it on my WK2 this morning...now, I pissed off and bleeding and at least know what I'm gonna be paying a guy to do....that shit's shoehorned too far back in there on my car for my arthritic hands and available tools!!!

    • @OnlineMechanicTips
      @OnlineMechanicTips  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      O wow man, the WK extremely hard to get off, that bracket drives people crazy. If you the first 1 to remove it, its very hard and tight..Please subscribe to the channel for me, thanks

    Thank you for your video. How did you access the bolts/ nuts behind the throttle bottle & what exact tool did you use to loosen the top back? I’m having a huge issue.

    • @OnlineMechanicTips

      Hey bud that is a 13mm. After removing the wire harness clip, I use a 13mm rather wrench to remove it..the other 2 10mm bolts come off as well

    • @youngwessbeats
      @youngwessbeats 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OnlineMechanicTips thank you brother. I had to use a deep socket 10mm wrench with a 2inch extension to get that guy out. Thank you so much. Spark plugs done
